Bye bye pigmentation & acne scarring
When I read a review that The Oridinary had an AFFORDABLE product that was just as good if not better than drunk elephants babyfacial I decided to give it a try and for under $10 what did I have to lose? The Ordinary AHA30% + BHA 2% aims to smooth and exfoliate skin texture and lighten any dark spots, hyper pimentation or acne scarring. Umm... all of the above please. So this is ideal for dry, oily and combination skin. I’m not super sensitive, but If your skin is, I would sample a small area first. This is loaded with Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid which all three aim exfoliate the outer layers of the skin, while the salicylic Acid aims to clean out inside the pores, removing any blockage. First off the color is bright red and almost looks like blood, it has a berry scent when you first apply it and offers a slight tingling sensation. When I first got it, I only kept it on for a few minutes because I was scared of burning my skin. Now I use it 1x per week for 10 minutes. There is some skin redness after use, but this typically diminishes within the hour. I love the way my skin looks and feels afterward and have noticed significant improvement in lightening scars I have along my jaw line. Ive also seen an improvement with the overall redness in my checks, over all my skin looks brighter and more uniform. I plan to repurchase this item when I run out, and have recommended nearly everyone I know to try it. It really is that good! More about the product: Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban, and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances. 2 of The Ordinary products that are worth the hype
It was impossible for me to ignore the hype around The Ordinary products. I mean, when it comes to celebrities recommending luxury products on their social media, it doesn’t trigger anything in me as I tend to think it’s just advertising and nothing else. But when social media influencers from all over the world start recommending products that are like less than 10 euros, it is certainly worth a try! In my first order from The Ordinary, I’ve got Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA and Squalane Cleanser and I’m very pleased with them both! Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA The reason why I wanted to try this moisturizer in the first place is the no-nonsense title and label. I mean I just want a moisturizer, why name it overly complicated? Just call it by its name! This one is rich in amino acids, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and fatty acids and keeps the skin hydrated without leaving behind a greasy film. I noticed the results immediately. The skin felt better, properly hydrated, plumper. This is a product that didn’t promise the moon, only moisturizing and did a great job delivering just this. It costs about 5 euros (30 ml) and if you ask me, it is totally worth the hype. Squalane Cleanser I used to be fully committed to my micellar water cleansing routine, but since the Squalane cleanser was a part of the daily set I ordered, I wanted to try. The indication is to rub a small amount of product between the palms of your hands and then massage into the skin of the face and rinse with plenty of water. At first, the cleanser has like a moisturizer texture, but when you start rubbing, it gets warm and turns into an oily lotion. Application is easy and the cleanser does a good job in removing makeup. Since I can’t give up on my micellar water, I am using the Squalane cleanser only in the evenings, to get rid of makeup and the micellar water in the mornings. Squalane cleanser leaves my skin soft and clean, no drying or oily sensation. I’d definitely recommend it to friends!
