Holy Grail Peel for Sensitive and Reactive Skin!
This is my first use of a peel because I have been TERRIFIED. My skin is so reactive and I honestly haven’t even found a vitamin C I can use because they always hurt my skin. This product is a really gentle overnight peel with moisturizing ingredients like glycerine and Shea butter as well as more gentle lactic acid as well as glycolic acid. I have only use this product once and I woke up with baby smooth skin! The second pic is an unedited photo of my skin. Yes, I still have genetically large pores but look at how clean and smooth they look! I will only be using this product once a week (you can use it 1-3x/week) because I am so dry and sensitive. I used my barrier cream after washing this product off in the morning to be safe as well. I got the mini version for $9.99 at Target and it’s going to last me ages! If you’re scared of peels, this is the perfect starter one for you, it made me a believer! VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
Overnight exfoliating cream❤️
Versed is one of my favourite brands and I have tried many of their products. I really enjoy that the products not only looks super cute on my vanity but the company’s values line up with my own. I love that they are cruelty free and they try and use recyclable material for their packaging. Ever since I have incorporated chemical exfoliants my skin has really improved. I have tried all sorts of exfoliant options and I like most so I usually choose which depending on my mood. I really like this overnight peel when I want to have a simple routine. The reason for this is it tells you not not add other products such as actives. When I use this I just wash my face, apply this cream and moisture. If you don’t have dry skin it advises that you don’t have to add a moisturizer as it is moisturizing enough alone. Texture: This product comes out as a cream that is soothing and easily massaged into the skin. Price: This product comes in two sizes so you can try it out before fully investing which I love. The small is 0.5 oz and costs $13 cad and the full is 1oz and costs $26 cad. Effectiveness: When I use this I always wake up to fresh glowing skin. My skin never feels dried out or peels which are common side effects I get with many exfoliants. VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel
BEST product for pore-minimizing!
Gooooood morning guys! Today I'm talking about my favorite pore-minimizing product in my arsenal: Paual's Choice 10% Niacinimide Booster. Via Paula's Choice (PC's) website, this baby was created to dramatically reduce pore size and uneven skin tone! The target concerns for this product are to diminish the appearance of enlarged pores. The texture of this product is very liquidy and is not thick or serum-like at all! It is very much so like water in texture. My overall experience with this product has been super positive! I've been using it since about July, and prior to using this (and even on days when I haven't used it recently) I honestly felt like my pores could be seen from space! They felt soooo huge and clogged to me. But when I use this niacinimide every day - as the first step in my routine after cleansing- I notice a huge difference in my skin! I love this booster and once it run's out I will most likely repurchase- HOWEVER it does retail for $44 on PC's website- I believe I bought this during a sale or in a kit, and I know of other niacinimide serums that are more on the drugstore end but PC's is the only one I trust, so I think it's worth it to buy once it's on sale (which it is now!). This product did not make me break out or cause any other irritation to my skin which is super important to me because I have acne prone sensitive skin! I really do see results in my skin when I use this consistently, and I can't live without it now.
One of my favorite chemical exfoliators is Krave Beauty’s Kale-Lalu-yAHA. It is a chemical exfoliator with 5.25% glycolic acid derived from sugar cane. It’s goal is to sluff off those dead skin cells for a more even complexion, less fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing the appearance of sun damage. Key ingredients: glycolic acid, kale, spinach parsley, aloe, hyaluronic acid, and allantoin. This is a very gentle exfoliator. I would recommend this for those who haven’t used chemical exfoliators before. I have no stinging upon application and it sinks down quickly which i love due to its thin consistency. The dark leafy greens are antioxidant packed, so you know you are also getting nutrients your skin needs along with the added hydration from hyaluronic acid. I’ve never experienced redness or irritation from this. If i have congestion or active breakouts I swear this product diminishes them by 75% overnight! I love it so much i also use on my arms, back and neck! This really is a perfect product.Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA
Key ingredients: The Inkey List Sea Kelp Serum
You may or may not have seen a ton of hype about this product on Instagram. THE inkey LIST - Sea Kelp Serum It costs $10 and has 2 highlighted ingredients: sea kelp extract and a malachite mineral complex. It’s a pretty simple ingredient list so I thought I would test it out in my routine for a couple of weeks. The ingredient claims: -Sea kelp extract: reduce and protect the skin from environmental pollutants -Malachite mineral complex: detoxify skin & deliver antioxidants It’s a lightweight serum advertised to work on all skin types for anti-aging benefits. Unfortunately this serum really set off my skin. When I’m trying to new product I use a basic routine full of products I know don’t irritate my skin so I KNOW the new product is the culprit. This caused a series of tiny bumps around my eye area and whiteheads on my forehead which is so random. I also must mention the smell...god, it’s awful. It smells like dirt, very earthy but in the worst way. When I used this serum I applied it after my hyaluronic acid serum but before any facial oils or moisturizers. Honestly if you have tough skin and aren’t sensitive to natural ingredients this will probably work great for you. It’s $10 for 1oz so you won’t be losing a lot of money if you end up not liking it, but it’s risky if you’re more on the sensitive skin train like me. I have to rate it 2/5 stars for my overall experience, however the price point is good and it absorbs well into the skin. Another product that did not live up to the hype.

These have slotted into my morning routine like a dream! . I have been using these alexsteinherr for primark Pollution Solution Dual Texture Exfoliating Pads every other morning to help lift away dead, dull skin cells and reveal brighter, smoother skin... . A gentle mix of lactic acid (a more hydrating acid compared to glycolic), PHA which is a type of acid similar to the likes of glycolic and lactic acid (which are AHAs) but due to their larger molecular structure, they penetrate the skin at a slower rate which is why they are suitable for ALL skin types, including sensitive skin, causing almost no irritation! And niacinamide which is such a good ingredient to look for in skincare! Also known as vitamin B3, niacinamide is a very effective skin-restoring ingredient that offers multiple benefits for ageing skin, helps calms redness and regulates sebum production... . A quick sweep over my face with one of these pads has definitely helped with my flakey dry patches, skin is smoother and I have had no irritation like I sometimes get with stronger acids... . If you’re new to acids or looking for something more gentle than the traditional glycolic toners yet still as effective you need to try these! 🧡
Holy Grail for acne prone skin
I LOVE the Paula’s choice antioxidant pore purifier. I have acne prone skin and it’s absolutely perfect for it. Gentle, yet effective. It’s also very thin and easy to layer 😍😍PAULA'S CHOICE - Antioxidant Pore Purifier
PAULA'S CHOICE-Antioxidant Pore Purifier
It’s no secret that retinol is the big boss of the beauty game but it is one ingredient that I have largely excluded from my regime… until now! Just over three weeks ago, I began EASING into retinol. I have sensitive, somewhat acne-prone, combination skin and it gets angry easily so, to make this work, patience, control and consistency are essential. . My Goal… To smooth over a few fine lines and minimize the appearance of some pesky pores. . Frequency & Concentration… I have started with a 0.3% Retinol concentration once per week (Sunday’s). After 4 weeks I will add another night (likely Wednesday’s) and continue until the little sample tube is finished. . Quantity… I use a pea sized amount for my entire face and then spot a little extra onto “problem areas”. . Regime… It’s important to apply retinol to skin that is *completely dry* (it helps to prevent irritation)! So on retinol nights I cleanse, pat my face try with a towel, and then wait a a minute or two more for any excess moisture to evaporate. After applying Retinol, I again wait another minute or two for it to fully absorb and then continue on with my routine. On Retinol days I tend towards gentler routines with fewer acids and I skip my LAA serum the following morning. I also use healing and hydrating masks in the day following Retinol application. . Progress… So far I have had zero irritation or flaking! I do notice my skin feels a bit drier the next few mornings but it’s nothing a little moisturizer can’t fix. I haven’t had any visible dryness or peeling. As for purging, nothing notable as of yet. I did get a bit of a breakout (nothing major) but it could just as easily have been hormonal. . Moving Forward… I will continue using the 0.3% concentration until the tube is finished and then will increase to 0.5%. I will *try* to continue with twice per week use but if I notice a reaction I will switch back to once per week for a full month and then add the second day back in. Once I have finished the 0.5% tube (it will likely be a full size tube) I will finally upgrade to 1%.. That’s the plan at least!
