Is this $125 Detox Night Cream Worth It?
Hey Cherie Fam 🍒 I have been doing makeup looks and raving about my recent make up purchases lately. I thought it’s time to give the skin care products I’ve been loving lately some attention. You know that you can’t have great makeup unless you have great a great makeup base aka having a great skin care routine. I received Grown Alchemist Detox Night Cream on my November premium box from Boxycharm. I have a somewhat strict skin care routine and I am skeptical introducing a new product to my routine. I researched this brand thoroughly and read hundreds of reviews online. I also examined the ingredient list. Grown Alchemist is founded by brothers who discovered ground breaking research that proved the continuous use of natural ingredients. They developed formulas with a unique synergy between biology and cosmetic chemistry. Their headquarters are located in Melbourne, Australia. (Source: website) The detox night cream is described as a detoxifying cream formulated with peptide-3, echinacea vitamins, hyaluronic acid and essential omega fatty acids such as reishi extract. This product claims to regenerate the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles resulting in radiant and youthful looking skin. This product retails for $125 USD for 40ml. #Grown Alchemist - Detox Night Cream[products]# I actually really like this product. I use it with my DE framboos and The Ordinary virgin marula oil at night. I noticed my skin is a lot more glowy and I have less pores and brighter skin when I wake up in the morning. It has a thick consistency, but doesn’t feel heavy and has a scent similar to roses. I am actually not a fan of the smell because I prefer no fragrance. I think this is the perfect night cream especially during the winter months. However, I will not be repurchasing when I run out. While I am a fan of this product and think it works well, I don’t think it’s worth $125 for a 40ml. There are cheaper alternatives in the market with the same ingredients. If money isn’t an issue to you, then I say go for it! I saw a huge difference within a week. It’s just not in my budget unfortunately. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil Conclusion: Great product and I saw a difference within a week, but it’s too pricy and will not re-purchase because there are alternative brands in the market with the same ingredients for a fraction of the price. Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Top 2020 Products
2020 was the year I officially got into skincare. These three skincare products that dramatically changed my skin for the better, and for that, I rate them my best products for 2020. 1. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This milky essence contains 5 kinds of HA of different molecular weights along with nourishing algae extracts. The results? Incredibly plump, soft skin. Not only is this essence great for harsh winters that compromise the barrier, but it’s great for summer when skin dehydrated and producing more oil than usual. You can’t beat the price at 15.99!! 2. THE inkey LIST - Kaolin Clay Mask : A kaolin mask that effectively absorbs excess oil AND has nourishing plant extracts so it doesn’t dry out your skin. For only 6.99!! 3. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum : It’s no secret that I am a huge Drunk Elephant fan. Yet out of all of their products, this is the one that to me is worth the hefty price tag of $90 for an ounce. This gel-based serum is a chemical exfoliator that contains 12% AHA and 2% BHA. It’s incredibly gentle yet super powerful as it zaps dry spots, uneven texture, whiteheads, blackheads, and major breakouts. It is the perfect spot treatment for any breakout. The immediate second I experience a breakout, I put this on and the next day my breakout is either completely done or dramatically reduced in size. While I would like to try cheaper exfoliators, this one is golden for me. What are your top 2020 products? My worst products of 2020 coming tomorrow!!

Gentle Chemical Peel
Gentle Chemical Peel
The Ordinary AHA 30% Peel is a 10 minute facial. Within 10 minutes this peel claims to exfoliate the skins topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance and also to help clear congested pores. The consistency is similar to a gel moisturizer. It is runny. The smell is not very loud. It does sting once applied to skin but that’s what you lets you know it’s working. And might I say it does work very well. With continued use you will notice much smoother skin, lighter blemishes and much less oil production. I put this on before I put my primer on and my makeup lasts much longer than before. It’s very affordable so its definitely a must try. I will continue to purchase.

Scrubby Peel
Hey guys, I should tell you, I am really digging some of the Ordinary products right now. I will review every product of this brand as I go on and use them. This particular product is one which i cannot live without at the moment. My skin used to be mildly flaky sometimes even after using a good scrub. Hence, when I found this product it blew my mind. The Ordinary- Peeling Solution This lab vibe little bottle of pure elixir is what you need for that ultimate scrub effect which lasts for more than a week (at least for me). It is blood red in colour and liquid in consistency. Pour a little in your palm and rub it all over your face. Keep it for not more than 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. It does sting a little. Don’t panic! That is how it works. It worked wonders to my skin. You can see the effect of this peeling solution on my skin in the third picture. I have no filter in it and yes it is glowing! Touchwood! Only thing I do is I follow it up with my regular Dior tonique sorbet water and a moisturiser. Go grab a bottle yourself and shine bright like a diamond. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Effective treatments for acne
Effective treatments for acne
The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion 🌿. Week three of the complete skincare switch up and this is my little star. 🌟 This perfect little bottle of vitamin A derivatives has absolutely worked wonders for me and I'm loving it. My skin is smooth, glowing and for once I actually prefer my face without foundation. Retinoids and retinol are really effective treatments for acne and great for slowing the signs of ageing. They work by increasing your cell turnover whilst removing old ones, it also stimulates collagen and corrects pigmentation. Basically it's a powerhouse of everything you want from a skincare product in a little bottle.

The Ordinary Peeling Facial for Oily Skin
The Ordinary Peeling Facial for Oily Skin
This facial is designed for oily or combination skin to help fight blemishes and improve the look of skin texture. It contains glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid to exfoliate all layers of skin and really unclog your pores. The consistency is that of a slightly runny gel, and it is a deep red color so that you can see where you have applied it on your face. I find that after using this facial 2-3 times per week for the past 2 months my skin is much more regulated in the amount of oil it produces. The product is strong enough to clear out gunk and excess oil to make my skin more radiant. Many people agree that it is a cheap dupe for Dr. Dennis Gross’ Peel Pads and the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial. At $7, I 100% recommend this to anyone thinking of trying it. The Ordinary is known for their simple yet potent products and this facial holds up to that promise. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane
The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane
When most people think of retinoids, their first thought is likely anti-aging or something along those lines. However, retinoids can also be effective at reducing irregular skin pigmentation, increasing skin elasticity, unclogging pores, and minimizing the appearance of pores. I used this product for ~2 months and in that time, I noticed a significant pore-minimizing effect. (The only reason I stopped using it was because my Curology formula was changed to include tretinoin, and I was told not to use any other Retinoid products at the same time since tretinoin is a strong, prescription Retinoid.) On The Ordinary's website, the product claims include anti-aging as the main target concern, and includes a warning to not use other Retinoid products at the same time (like I was told by my Curology doctor). The texture of this pore-minimizing Retinoid serum feels kind of oily, likely due to the fact that it is waterless and squalane-based. The serum itself is colorless as far as I can tell and does not have a strong odor like some other Retinoids I've tried in the past. I initially decided to try this The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane because of the affordable price, and I would definitely consider it to be worth the price even though I don't use it myself anymore. I would recommend this product to others as long as they aren't currently using a different Retinoid product and/or they aren't already accustomed to a stronger Retinoid. I definitely think that this The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane deserves a full 5/5 stars because I really enjoyed using it and did notice significant pore-minimizing results while using it. In fact, my pores went from being ~average sized in appearance to being almost invisible while I was using this product! I didn't even think that was possible for me, so I was thoroughly impressed by my results from using this serum. Also, I experienced very minimal irritation due to this serum. I really enjoyed this product and would use it again w/o hesitation!

These are my go to Niacinimide
These are my go to Niacinimide products but today I specifically want to talk about the Ordinary version with zinc! It’s absolutely unbeatable for the price point and super effective with a high potency of 10% Niacinimide and 2% zinc. It’s one the cheapest yet most effective products I own! I like to use this as my first serum after toner as it is very light weight and sinks in quickly! I then follow up with a vitamin c or thicker serum and end with SPF in the morning! I love the Ordinary for their prices and this is my favorite product that they make! Niacinimide is great to ease inflammation and calm oil production both of which my skin needs! I love this product!
