SKIN CARE FOR HOW MUCH😱🤩?!?
Just like The Ordinary, here we are with another affordable skin care brand!!! Are you excited??? 🤩 If you live in Canada like me, you can find The Inkey List in your local Shoppers Drug Mart and if you’re from the UK (also like me) you can find it at any Boots or Superdrug. In Ontario these products range between $8-13.... which is a steal if you’re used to throwing a lot of bread at Sephora💸🤦🏻♀️ I have been using these three for a month now and am in love the Collagen Booster and Polyglutamic Acid. Unfortunately the Caffeine Aye Cream was a huge let down for me (Stay Tuned for Why). x Collagen Booster Face Serum (30ml) A natural skin protein that helps the skin keep its firmness, suppleness and elasticity while also reducing redness, fine lines, wrinkles and pores. I LOVE this serum... it truly is worth the shot!! My face has never felt so bouncy yet firm at the same time... if you know what I mean? I use this straight after I have cleansed and toned my face making sure that I distribute the serum all around my face/neck and then pat into the skin for full benefits! YOUR SKIN IS A SPONGE LADIES🧽 x Polyglutamic Acid (30ml) Polyglutamic Acid is naturally found in the skins layers, which aids to maintain the skins moisture levels. It is also known to hold up to 4x more moisture that hyaluronic acid ... YES you heard me right!!! I never knew the benefits of this until I put it on my face! My face usually looks greasy after face oils and moisturizer, but this little guy truly change that for me😍😍😍As directed on the bottle, I use this after my serums to lock all the good stuff into my skin before I moisturizer... oh my ladies does this ever penetrate the skin! My face has never felt so soft and supple before these two lovely products! For the price you cannot knock it! x Caffeine Eye Cream (15ml) This product isn’t worth the price considering that Caffeine is listed as ingredient number 12... puffiness and dark circles are still the same! If you are looking for a better product that does the trick of making you look alive when you really aren’t? Well then head on over to The Ordinary!!! The Caffeine Eye Solution 5% + EGCG is $6.70 and you get TWICE THE FORMULA FOR HALF THE PRICE!!!

COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Claims: This gel type cleanser with Tea-Tree Oil and natural BHA to shrink the sizes of pores and and refine the skins texture. It gently dissolves oil, dirt and other impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. I really wanted to like this cleanser. I enjoyed the texture of it, but it was just too drying for my skin. I also didn’t notice any refining of my pores. I won’t be repurchasing. COSRX - One Step Green Hero Calming Pad Claims: Essence made of Green Tea Leaf Water and Green-Rx Complex relieve redness and irritation while providing gentle exfoliation. It contains Lactobionic Acid to even-out skin texture and enhance the skin's natural barrier. This product was also not my fave. I was in search of a calming product because of a damaged skin barrier. This stung a little after I used it. Will not be repurchasing. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum Claims: Working across multiple layers of the skin, this super serum hydrates your skin, helping it appear plump and smooth, while reducing the appearance of fine lines. I understand the hype behind this product. It’s water like consistency immediately absorbs into your skin and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling. Would repurchase The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Claims: Niacinamideis indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc to balance visible aspects of sebum activity. This product really helped with my hormonal acne! Repurchase? I already did! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Claims: Instant relief and long-term hydration for dry, distressed skin, even eczema. Suitable for all skin types, leaves skin feeling smooth, hydrated and comfortable after just a single use. This is a very thick yet whipped consistency. I intended to used this on super dry areas on my face, but it had a harsh sting. I did start using it on the rest of my body and got really good results! CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream Claim: Help reduce the appearance of dark circles, eye puffiness and brighten the entire eye area. Suitable for all skin types, this non-greasy, fast-absorbing, fragrance-free eye cream My moisturizer was lacking in some key ingredient areas like ceramides, It was soft and absorbed super quickly. I liked this product. I would consider repurchasing it. THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Claims: Reduces the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, Can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and the smooth texture provides a perfect canvas for make-up. I have noticed an improvement using this eye cream! The caffeine acting as a diuretic does make a difference. I would repurchase this, but I’m curious to try their retinol eye cream.
My acne journey through birth control
In my first pic that was my face before I started birth control, pretty clear, occasional pimple here and there. But then i started the pill for my terrible periods and i started breaking out like crazy. Bumps all over my forehead and chin as you can see in the second and third pic. I’ve started to update skin routine a little and the 4th pic is where i’m at now. any tips anyone has would be great! this is my skin care routine now AM CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser i started using this and i think it helped my bumps a lot. I have seen some improvement. HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray i like this product i think it helps hydrate my skin. It also helped with my oily skin too. When i run out of the spray i’m going to use the HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner for the hyaluronic acid. so if anyone has any experience with this product let me know! THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Helps with my puffy eyes! Seen some improvement with my eye bags over time! CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This is a basic moisturizer and i like it. i have oily skin and i like how lightweight it is. I also like the added ceramides for my skin barrier. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block i think the green level sun screen makes me pretty greasy. The comfy water sunblock is way better for my oily skin, i just have to rub it in longer since it is a mineral sunscreen. PM - Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil i like this cleansing oil it gets off my sunscreen and mascara well. it doesn’t leave a greasy residue when i wash it off either. I love to try new products lol so when i finish this i might try THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm or BIODERMA - Atoderm Shower Oil(i know this says shower oil but on amazon it says cleansing oil, shower oil, many purposes and the reviews say it takes their makeup and sunscreen off really well) so once again if anyone has used these products let me know how they were! CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Pretty basic i like it. Really no complaints or anything that sticks out about this product that i LOVE LOVE. When i finish this i might try LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming CleanserLet me know if anyone has used this and their experience with it! Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo i use this as a face mask for about 5 mins. i don’t use this every night, i maybe use this 2-3 times a night. Kinda burns but i feel it works DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel really just did not work on my skin, i haven’t seen much improvement because of this. i’ve been using this for 2 months THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
New empty that I love using on my décolletage
As Caroline Hurons says - “take it to the ( • )( • )” THE inkey LIST - Collagen Booster Firming Peptide Serum - While I don’t necessarily love this product for my face (it IS hydrating and makes the skin plump, but ultimately I think I prefer the The Ordinary - ''Buffet'') I have loved using this on my neck and chest every morning and night. I’ve gone through the whole bottle now and I think if this doesn’t provide you with the results you wanted on your face, you might like it as a neck / chest / shoulders serum! The good: + Very lightweight and glides over the skin so easily. Perfect for covering a large area like your chest, shoulders, etc. + Absorbs into the skin quickly and there is no pilling or obvious residue. + Skin definitely feels hydrated and plump afterwards. I would even go so far to say that my chest feels a little smoother after application. + For sensitive skin friends - there is no fragrance or essential oils included. + Didn’t cause any breakouts whatsoever. + Key ingredients include glycerin (humectant that moisturizers skin), hyaluronic acid (another humectant), Matrixyl 3000 (peptide that was shown in a clinical study that it could provide anti-ageing effects) and Syn-tacks (another peptide). The not so good: - To set expectations, skin feels plump and hydrated after using this, but I don’t necessarily see any effects in terms of anti ageing or extra firmness of the skin. This could be because it’s more of a preventative product versus see-results-in-2-weeks product. - The two peptides that they highlight as key ingredients are near the very bottom of the ingredient list. Maybe not a big deal, but I want to point it out. - I do wish they came out with a bigger bottle. But maybe they will soon! Worth it? Well for like $9, yeah, I think it’s an affordable way to give your décolletage some much needed love. I have seen so many neck creams / serums that are incredibly expensive and it can seem kind of daunting. So this could be a great starter option if you want to try something out before splurging. Will I repurchase? I actually will! At first I was like meh, I don’t need a new one. And then this morning I didn’t have any to put on my chest / neck and I immediately decided to go get another. It’s just so affordable and it provides an extra boost of moisture. Ps I have combo, acne prone skin. Pps I have seen mixed messaging about the effectiveness of peptides in skincare and the validity of the clinical studies, so I would suggest doing some research so that you can form your own opinions on the topic :)
Night time routine 🌙 For acne & early aging
EVE LOM - EVE LOM Cleanser LOVE this cleansing balm in my routine - takes off every sign of makeup on my face and leaves my skin silky soft REN CLEAN SKINCARE - ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser Started this cleanser when I started getting blackheads on my cheeks but my skin was over stripped from using harsh acne products on it. This is my holy grail cleanser! My skin never feels tight after using it and I have noticed a significant different in the clarity of my skin. Kate Somerville - Clarifying Treatment Toner I switch between this and the ordinary glycol acid toner. I notice the difference in strength between the two. Glycol is definitely stronger and I normally can’t use it every night so I switch to this clarifying toner that is made of lactic acid a lighter AHA. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I LOVE the ordinary serums!! This one is probably my favourite. It keeps my skin smooth and clear. I use it AM and PM. THE inkey LIST - Collagen Booster Firming Peptide Serum I bought this serum recently at shoppers and so far I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin at all. I also dislike the bottle, I prefer the ordinary droppers. REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Clearcalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream I purchase this with the matching cleanser and so far I am pretty impressed. It has a derivative of salicylic acid (BHA) in it to help with clearing out your pores, especially blackheads. It keeps my skin moisturized also! THE inkey LIST - Retinol Eye Cream Love the idea of a retinol eye cream! So far haven’t noticed a difference in my underage area but I haven’t used it for very long. The price is only $12 so it’s worth checking out
Wanting to add one more serum to my routine
Need some recommendations for a new serum to add. My main concerns are acne, barrier restoration, and hyperpigmentation. My skin is doing better since starting this routine about 2 months ago. Just thinking it’s time to add another product. If anyone has recommendations that’d be great, something affordable I’d preferred and I love the ordinary
Good for water resistance
Easy to absorb Help skin to maintain moisture But i don’t like the smell ..THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid 30ml
Ingredient Spotlight w/ VERSED Anti-Aging Bundle
I tried the youth preserving “bounce back bundle” from VERSED (at Target) for 15 days! Here are my thoughts. ✨ VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM Ingredient of Interest: Resveratrol Function: anti-aging antioxidant found in red wine, well studied in the lab for anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic (melanoma), anti-UV properties. Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz Comments: No real complaints about the serum itself, the formula sits on the face comfortably, doesn’t pill or sting. The packaging is minimal but feels a little cheap because of the plastic. I don’t love that the opening doesn’t have a protective mesh barrier to keep impurities from getting into the bottle with use. I haven’t noticed any drastic changes to my skin after two weeks but I don’t mind it in my skincare routine. VERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream Ingredient of Interest: Eyeliss Peptide Triad (HMC, PT-7, and Dipeptide-2) Function: increases lymphatic circulation, reduce “bruising” and blood vessel issues associated with dark circles. Price: $17.99 for 0.5 Oz Comments: I was first drawn to the eye cream because it’s formula (Eyeliss), known in medicine for reducing bruising. I do think this eye cream works much better for me in reducing dark circles than caffeine does!! The cream is not too thick upon application but it does leave an immediate warming (burning for some) sensation which may be concerning for sensitive skin. It’s strange because we can’t really avoid the eye area if it’s meant to be an eye cream! I have noticed results in the past two weeks, however, and will continue to use this! The packing is again plastic and the tiny inside lid fits awkwardly onto the container but it’s something I’m willing to overlook if the formula works. Not badly priced for an eye cream either. VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel Ingredient of Interest: Glycolic and Lactic Acid Price: $9.99 for 0.5 Oz Comments: As I’ve mentioned in a different post, as a regular AHA user, the glycolic and lactic acids are way too far down the ingredient list for me to notice a huge different to my skin but it’s a great intro product. It’s a gentle night cream, essentially sits like a lotion. I am not repurchasing as I can’t justify the price for the amount of product I’m getting- there are far better options out there. Love the sleek packaging though! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Ingredient of Interest: Vitamin C derivative (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) and Niacinamide Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz Comments: I only got a sample of this bestselling serum- overall I have no complaints but it didn’t wow me either. I know there are more economical options out there but one perk is that you get Vit C and Niacinamide in one serum! It’s a thicker consistency than other Vit C serums I’ve tried but I wouldn’t say it’s more hydrating- in fact, I actually felt that it was more drying than I’m used to.

The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Serum
This is The Inkey List’s Caffeine eye serum! It’s meant to be worn either under an existing eye cream or used on its own. It’s meant to make you look awake (even if you’re not!). It is a smooth serum texture and is not cold. It’s white but smooths out to a clear application. A little goes A LONG way. I really love it! I use it everyday, both at night and in the morning. It makes me look awake and takes away some pigmentation. In addition, it’s one of the most effective and cheapest eye serums I’ve ever used. I liked it because, in addition to what mentioned above, I don’t have to use a lot. My eye area gets very dry and this is very hydrating. I would recommend the product to someone else because it’s cheap and effective. The product is SO worth it and the fact that it’s at Sephora makes it so much more accessible! The Inky List
Have you tried @theinkeylist If not, you’re missing out! . I decided to explore this brand when I took a look at their price point and ingredients. You can’t go wrong when not a single product is over $15!!! The founders believed that skincare should be accessible for everyone as well as easy to navigate and understand. All products are easy to understand and clearly state what they can do for you. I also like that they explain what products to avoid mixing together. . I started with Hyaluronic Acid - $8 - and found the formula to be okay. It’s not my favorite, @deciem formula is actually my favorite, but either one is a great option. I think I just prefer the dropper better over the squeeze bottle of The Inky List. I end up with too much coming out at times. But the hydration this gives me is A+. My face feels and looks instantly dewy. That healthy glow! ✨ If you don’t have HA in your life, you’re missing out! . Next up I ordered their Retinol - $10 - but only just started using it consistently. It’s a very easy formula to work with and I layer on the lotion after to make sure I have no issues with irritation. I’ve had a few small breakouts but nothing crazy. I plan to use something stronger after I finish this. . See yesterday’s post regarding the Sea Kelp - $10 . And I just picked up the eye cream Caffeine - $10 - . I got it initially for my husband. He has serious eye bags and I wanted to put this to the test but he isn’t cooperating with me. I gave it to my daughter to try as I am still working through my @farmacybeauty Cheer Up. She has dark circles and puffy eyes so I’m anxious to hear her thoughts. . What do you use from The Inky List? What should I try next? . Happy hump day! 🌼

Bright Eyes Duo!
I have dark circles and am prone to dryness and puffiness - so an eye cream is a necessity! I swear I’ve had these eye issues since I was a baby since even in toddler pictures I have dark circles. I am also acne prone and am terrified of getting milia so I have to be extra careful about the eye products I chose. For about a month now I have been using this power duo and WOW do I love the results! I use the SUNDAY RILEY - Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream as a serum to depuff and then the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream to lightly hydrate and conceal darkness. Both contain brightening properties so over time they have been lightening up my dark circles which I am so so grateful for!! First Aid Beauty sent over their eye cream for me to test out and review and it’s been a blessing. The peachy hue leaves my eyes looking wide awake and bright and it’s a light enough cream that I don’t feel like I could get milia, not is it too light that I end up with flakiness. It’s such a soft light serum cream too so you seriously need just a touch of it ❤️ I love how affordable this eye cream is too, I’ll definitely be purchasing it in the future! During my Sunday Riley fanatic phase (yeah it’s not a phase) I picked up the Auto Correct and I have been blown away by it, it’s thinner than the FAB cream so I like layering this under as a serum. I cannot go a day without it tho as it immediately depuffs the area because of the caffeine. Will forever repurchase! It’s pricey, but hella worth it.
SUNDAY RILEY-Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream
These are like the dupe for the ordinary. -I got the collagen booster, it is a serum that helps too keep your skin plump and juicy. It helps hydrate and keep my skin in good conditions - the caffeine eye cream is honestly alright. I barely see any difference in my eyes. There’s a slight difference which helps hydrate my under eyes temporary. Honestly eye creams is just another cream. It’s the market. Eye cream is a myth in my opinion. I rather just use a regular serum and a moister under my eyes. You can find these products at Sephora. Overall the collagen is a good hydration and the eye cream is alright. #TheInkeyList #Skincare #glowyskin #sephora. $1 deals pt.1
My trips to dollar tree usually always ends in me purchasing at least one beauty or skincare product because why not? It’s a dollar 😂 so I have many different finds from the dollar tree which is why I will be splitting them into different parts, because 1 part is simply not enough CRÈME DE skin NUTRITIONS - Hyaluronic Acid 1% & Vitamin C Serum I have gone through 2 bottles of the ordinary hyaluronic acid and while I immensely enjoy the extra hydration and healthiness of my skin when I saw that the dollar tree had a hyaluronic acid I bought two because it would save me $10 and yk why not. The texture of this hyaluronic acid is a bit lighter than TO and it also doesn’t get as tacky of TO but it does hydrate as well as TO and as an addition it has sparkles in it which I adore. Another great thing that I love is it doesn’t pill up when I apply moisturizer and from my experience with TO their hyaluronic acid if I don’t wait at least 10 mins before applying moisturizer it pills up on my face and it’s very annoying 😭 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 I still need to use it more but I’m liking it Creme de skin nutritions age defy, dark circle and puffiness serum I have only been using this eye serum for a couple of days but I have enjoyed it. For starters I’m only 17 so it’s not like I have huge eye bags or anything but my eyes can get very puffy from sleeping and I feel like I always look tired. I have only ever used any other eye serum in my skincare routine once (and that did NOT end well at all) but this was cheap and the application tool is cool so I gave it a try. So far it has not irritated under my eyes or dried it out like the e.l.f. - Illuminating Eye Cream did (which was horrible and left me with dry patches under my eyes for at least a week!!) so I’m really grateful for that. It also feels cool when I apply it and it is lightweight and soaks into my skin so we will see how it progresses. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 I still need to try it more Finally, Spa naturals vitamin E beauty oil I found out not too soon after purchasing the oil that applying vitamin e directly to your face too often can cause breakouts and clogged pores (oopsies) and I already use coco butter to help with scarring which has been said to clog pores (which it doesn’t for mine but I didn’t wanna push the limit with the oil okay? 😭) so I put the majority of this oil into my Nivea lotion bottle and it has helped moisturize my body and keep it smooth so much! Being as I’m a brownskin girl when I get ashy it usually shows, and sometimes I can use lotions that are too light for my skin and it won’t give me any moisture at all and some mornings after putting on too light lotion I may wake up ashy 🤦🏾♀️ (pain.). The Nivea and vitamin e oil combination has been very good for me and I love the moisture I have gained from using this combo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 for body only! I hope you enjoyed this! I’ll be back with part 2!!
