Sulwhasoo sheet mask - luxurious perfection!
It’s a luxury. At $60 for 5 sheet masks, it better be good. And it is. I love almost everything I have tried from Sulwhasoo. Their botanical technology and traditional hanbang ingredients do not disappoint. It’s an aromatherapy experience while your skin is hydrated and brightened. It’s a sheet mask so it’s not going to work miracles, but it’s a nice special occasion mask. Sulwhasoo - First Care Activating Mask

Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Gel - so calming
This is a product I was a bit wary about, despite the rave reviews. I was wary of the botanicals (cucumber, thyme, eucalyptus, grapefruit, the list goes on). I’m not against botanicals, per se, but they always have the potential to trigger an allergic reaction. But I love it! On me it’s only soothing and hydrating. It has fed my skin with humectants, calmed redness from my seasonal allergies, supported post-breakout healing. My skin just drinks it up! It also contains hyaluronic acid. I drop two or three drops onto my finger pads and press into my skin, concentrating it along my jawline and the lower outer part of my face.
Rovectin lotion - juicy skin the kbeauty way!
This is my hydrating toner/essence step. It’s viscous and full of 7 different weights of hyaluronic acid, caffeine, centella asiatica, papaya extract. Nothing plumps the skin quite like this. It leaves a glassiness to the skin that’s a bit too much for me in summer, but is perfect for winter. So juicy and gorgeous!
Skinmedica Total Defense+Repair SPF - a pass
I’d rather get coal than the Skinmedica Total Defense + Repair SPF 34 Tinted. This may be an unpopular opinion as I know many people love this, but it just did not work for me. It’s a tinted mineral SPF that is not cheap. It pilled under makeup, sunk into pores, and left a very orange cast on my golden/olive skin. It also left me greasy and shiny by mid-day. I do have oily/combo skin, but the shine was significant even for me. Unfortunately it’s a pass for me!
Neutrogena ultra-sheer dry touch SPF 85 - love!
For me this is a body product. When I was in Hawaii last month, I needed something waterproof and budge-proof. While I try to avoid prolonged sun exposure, I needed something I can rely on for protection when I went snorkeling. The Neutrogena ultra-sheer dry touch SPF 85 did the trick! It lasted and stuck around. I reapplied diligently per the directions on the bottle and always apply generously. It leaves a slight cast on my medium skin, but I don’t mind because the protection is so good.Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock

The best hydrating toner - hada labo!
Hada labo is king when it comes to hyaluronic acid. Their goku jyun “lotion” is more of a hydrating toner (which they call lotions in Asia). It contains multiple weights of hyaluronic acid and holds hydration in the skin. It’s also a huge bottle and lasts forever. I use this after exfoliants in the PM and after vitamin C in the AM. Nothing plumps up my skin and leaves it bouncy throughout the day quite like this!
