Skinceuticals C E Ferulic
Skinceutical’s C E Ferulic is a vitamin C serum that provides environmental protection, lightens lines, firms skin and brightens your complexion. The serum has a cult following and over 2,000 5 star ratings on dermstore. Dermatologists have voted it the best overall vitamin C serum. The star ingredient - vitamin C. This antioxidant is one of the few ingredients experts recommend for its protective and brightening properties. When formulated to penetrate within the deeper layers of your skin, vitamin C combats free radicals from UV light and environmental aggressors. It also helps stimulate collagen and even skin tone. Dermatologists tend to prefer L-ascorbic acid (a pure form of vitamin C) because it's more likely to reach the skin depth where it's most effective. The acid works best at a concentration between 10% and 20%, and Skinceuticals serum is 15% concentration of L-ascorbic acid. The collagen-boosting, brightening properties work together to fade dark spots from breakouts and gives skin a glow. A little goes a long way and this product should last you about 4 months. I use this in the morning after my toner and before my moisturizer and sunscreen

Thank god I did 🙏 this is really the holy grail. 2. The OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème this eye cream was gifted to me by cousin over a year ago. I love it. It’s absolutely amazing. 3. Last but no least thanks to Cherie for gifting me absolutely the best eye cream ever used Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Highly recommend these products. The most important is being consistent and using them every morning. 😘
Is it going to be worth the 💸?
I just received this in the mail and I am SO EXCITED! I have heard so many good things about the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum and as I read further about it, the SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin CF Prevent Serum Antioxidant Treatment seems to be more suited for my oily and acne-prone skin. I will be trying this product and make a review in a month. I hope it is going to be worth the price. 🙃 Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments!
Kate Somerville Product Review
This is one of the first skincare products I’ve tried, and still one of the best ones. It’s supposed to help diminish the look of scars. I’ve used it every night for about two months, and it worked like magic. It easily diminished the look of any dents/scars I’ve had, as well as helping with the hyperpigmentation. It’s also hydrating and doesn’t dry out the skin. This is definitely a products worth checking out if you’re struggling with acne scars.Kate Somerville - D-Scar Scar Diminishing Serum

Urban skinrx vitamin C
This is one of the best vitamin c products for the value in my opinion! Boasting both 15% vitamin c and Kojic acid this product has really helped my post acne pigmentation which is my TOP skincare concern. I got this at CVS for about 25 dollars which really can’t be beat in terms of price. I also like that this isn’t tacky on application like many vitamin c products can be. Overall this is a great affordable pick for anyone needing a vitamin c serum!

CLEAN Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum
The Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum is the go-to for glowing skin. The serum itself is silky smooth and used AHAs and BHAs to chemical exfoliate off dead skin. This leads to a smoother surface while the vitamin C brightens the skin. Tata Harper products are known to be full of powerful ingredients, this one containing 22 clean, certified organic ingredients, many from Tata’s farm in Vermont. I decided to use this serum to add some glow to my skin and even out it’s texture and this serum did the job. It is a bit strong for my skin and as I’m actively dealing with acne, it may have too many active ingredients so I use it 1-2 times a week. For more balanced skin, this is the key to a glow and I would definitely recommend it. It does come at a high price ($88) but the clean ingredients are worth it. TATA HARPER - Resurfacing Serum

Vitamin C serums are a staple in my routines. Antioxidant rich Vitamin C is great for your skin. It helps even out skin tone, protects your skin from damage caused by UV light exposure, pollution and other environmental factors and is also known to have anti aging benefits. The Vitamin C serum that I am currently using is the one by brooklyn (the products are made in Brooklyn). This serum is formulated using Triple C Technology, it contains 10% L- ascorbic acid, plus two other potent forms of vitamin C, 3% Magnesium.Ascorbyl Phosphate and 0.9% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. It does contain Alcohol and Essential oils, so if you are sensitive to either of them stay away I have been using this for the last 15 days right after cleansing in my morning routine. This is a milky liquid a little thicker than water but not gel like. It does have a fragrance but it is not overpowering. This sinks in quickly into your skin leaving your skin non greasy. 15 days are not long enough to see major changes but this with the other products in my skincare arsenal have definitely helped fade my acne scars. I appreciate that this is affordable and accessible, retails for $17/30ml on Amazon. I also like that this does not require refrigeration and has a shelf life of 12 months. I will continue to use this and monitor changes.

The goat of skincare
This is the # 1 product in my skin care arsenal. I’m on my second bottle which is unheard of! I rarely ever repurchase a product. I use this every morning and it has been the only thing that has kept my acne at bay. It also helps with clearing up past acne scars and brightens up your face with a nice glow. The anti aging part is also an added bonus!

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Serum: must or bust?
I started looking for an intense Vitamin C serum when I noticed my acne scarring wasn’t disappearing as fast as it used to. After days of searching and contemplating, I finally decided on this OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum . My initial worry was: what if I waste all this money on something that does nothing for my skin? After a month of using it once a day, I can safely say: I am BLOWN AWAY! This serum smells like fresh oranges and even shimmers a bit in the light. I was wary of this, thinking maybe it would break me out—worry not. I have never broken out from this product. In fact, this significantly reduces the redness of my breakouts during and after they occur. They just heal faster! It usually takes my acne about a month to heal and look like a lil baby freckle (you know what I mean). With this, it took FOUR DAYS to look like that! After a month, acne spots are completely gone as if they never happened. And older, deep scarring—that I had given up on—now has the freckle look. This stuff is crazy! A change I didn’t expect, my face is SO even now. I didn’t even know it was uneven to begin with, lol! But now I look fresh everyday, like I’ve been getting weekly, hydrating facials for the past year. If your concerns are acne scarring, dullness, dryness, and uneven skin, I really recommend this. It is pricey, but it lasts a long time and is worth every penny. My skin has never looked so healthy. Do you guys use this serum? What are your thoughts on it? Do you have any other recommendations for healing acne spots/scarring? Thanks for reading! 🤍

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
