🥶 Solve Your Winter Woes of Dryness with LA MER
Genaissance de La Mer was released around 2017. If La Mer isn’t high end enough for you then their genaissance line might do it. As per all other la mer products, this one smells la mer-y too. It’s a “lotion l” but it’s not a chunky creamy kind. More like an emulsion, a watery milky texture that’s slippery when you first pour some out but after massaging into the face it changes to a velvety feel. That being said there is fragrance so watch out sensitive skin types! After putting this on you have a satin layer that looks like it sits on top of your skin. Like a freshly showered wet look. It does look kind of oily if you put too much so apply sparingly and just enough to what suits your skin the most. Though it’s oily it’s super charged with moisturizing effects from La Mer’s yum sea weed. Directions: After cleansing Take small amount and with fingertips massage and press gently into your skin. Follow up with the rest of your routine. At a $270 price tag - do you absolutely need it? No but I’ve owned this product for maybe almost 2 years now and it lasted me. It’s been sitting pretty waiting for the strike of winter. It doesn’t feel that hydrating so if you're looking for that I suggest snail essence from COSRX. However, nights are getting colder and winter is coming. It gets so windy where I live that my face gets so dry and chapped and the LA MER lotion is best suited to combat that and alleviate the pain. Hope you guys enjoyed this post and as always thanks for reading! PRODUCTS: COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA MER - Genaissance de la Mer The Infused Lotion

🍂 FALL ON YOUR LIPS
Featuring shades: El Cinco De Mayo Joyride I LOVE the vibrant red pigment on the El Cinco De Mayo shade HUDA BEAUTY power bullet matte lipstick. It just screams fall to me. The finish feels like a bright red and brick red blend. Picture yourself monochromatic this fall, gray hues, navy blue scarves maybe and this baby sitting on your pretty lips. This packs a punch, and the stay on power is pretty strong. Eyes will focus to your lips perfect for a date or a get together. Joyride is the absolute shade of dusty rose you need. It’s like you’re wearing nothing 😂 If you’re looking for that snatched look this is it. If you need to dress down and be more professional this is it. Purely versatile, it can match your any day look. 25$ a lipstick it’s well worth it tor the deep colors and that velvety feel that sinks down into your lips. It’s cruelty free and one swipe is all you really need.
Never Give Up On Your Skin
Looking at my unfiltered photo you may be thinking that I don’t suffer from cystic acne but I do and I did. In my early teens my skin was PERFECT. By college, I would get 1-2 pimples near the time where my red seas be flowing. In my early 20s and as I’ve aged it got worse. I experienced enlargement of pores, cystic acne, blackheads on a repeat vicious cycle. Now in my late 20’s I combat all of those knowing that I’m a combination type. I did Seeing as my skincare was considered a bar of soap, I set out on my skin journey. Trying products that were absolutely no good. Yes, I trotted to Target and have picked up Clean & Clear. I’ve gone down the road and used the St. Ives Scrub 👀 Do I have to wash make up off every night? 😖 I remember feeling lost and down in the dumps, frustrated because I couldn’t see results. Mistaking tightness as a measure of effectivity, I suffered from dryness. Causing my skin to produce more oils, I made my pores bigger. 😟 To this day my pores on my nose and cheeks are still very visible to me. Popped too many a pimple because I couldn’t resist.✖️✖️✖️ I do Throughout every mistake I became motivated to learn. This was my skin and certainly if it’s mine then it’s within my control. I obsessed because I feel that the more time I spend on it, the more beneficial it will be for me and my well being. Sometimes that means breaking the bank 🏦 and sometimes you put on your cheap skates. 💨 Through my visits at the dermatologist and guidance from my mom, I’ve come to accept so much despite feeling like giving up. 🔚 Lessons Along The Way No one is going to get as close to my face as I do to a mirror before my shower 🛀. Unless you’re my husband who smooches me and always tells me I’m beautiful. 🥺 No one is going to have that much motivation to look at my picture and zoom x100000000 magnification 🔍 on it just to count my pores. Just because it says pore clearing or acne treatment whatever marketing buzzword does not mean that it’s good for you. There are skincare products that can make it worse. Even just by going with good reviews, checking the ingredients is worth the while. Put those ugly products into permanent purgatory. 🗑 After enough time and patience, results will slowly show more and more each day. Scars that existed no longer existed. Deeper scars that start to look smaller. There are no days off to application or improving my routine. You will CONQUER and tame this beast you call skin! ⚔️ I’m glad that there’s a medium to express what’s helped me along the way. I’m also here to learn more from the community. All I know is what I’ve learnt so far and I’m so happy to share that I couldn’t believe this is my 50th post on Cherie! 🥳 Accept and love your skin, show yourself the patience you deserve. Thank you so much for reading. But most of all beside those lessons, I should have never forgotten the sunblock. 🤣 You live and you learn.
😷 Mask Friendly Lip Tints 👄
With lockdowns, social distancing and COVID-19 still on a rampage it looks like mask requirements are leaning towards more of the permanent side. 😷 What if you have to mask on and mask off? Just because of corona virus it doesn’t mean that our social lives are totally dead. Maybe we want to go to our lover’s home and chill. Or a friend’s house for a game of monopoly? Whatever it is, how do you give yourself a lip color full of vibrancy without it sticking to your mask? Lip stains or lip tints are your best bet for your set of puckers. I highly recommend water based ones just so that its less drying to the lips. There’s etude house dear darling water tint. You can get the set for $14.50 on Amazon or buy your preferred shade for $5.50. Saweetttt deals. Pick your fruit and slide the lip dabber and start from the center of your lips and go outwards. It doesn’t dry sticky, and dries fairly quickly. It’s a thinner and a slightly more sheer one compared to other tints but because of that it’s less pigmented and may need reapplication throughout the day. I picked orangeade. Best part of this lip tint is the gradation and a matte finish. I sometimes forget about the existence of my lips and it shows in my lack of care for them. I tend to avoid lip stains for that very reason, it just gives it a cracked and dried look. The dear darling water tint by etude house provides enough moisture that it doesn’t make it a problem for me any longer. Check out the other colors in the set, I provided some pics from etude house. #Etude House - Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint[products]#[FourStars]

Are you sure you picked the right BHA?
BHA HYPE TRAIN. I know you’re on it and if you’re not seriously consider adding it to your routine permanently. As a warning before adding BHA patch test and introduce it slowly into your routine. I’ve been using BHA regularly for a long time now. 10 months of Paula’s Choice until my bottle was finished. That’s not too bad seeing that I paid $30 for it. In 10 months I was able to see some progress. I did have a little bit of a purging phase on it but overtime I saw a reduction in my sebum output. It helped a ton in cell turnover as I saw my acne scars fade faster at the cost of patchy and dry flaky areas. My provider told me to build tolerance up to daily use but even at 3x a week intervals the dryness haunted me. Once I finished my bottle, it didn’t take me long to replace it. I’m not saying Paula’s Choice BHA sucks but I also don’t like its scent. Smells like I’m pumping gas in the boonies. All I know is that my BHA doesn’t have to smell like lucky charms and rainbows but does it have to smell like gasoline? I bought the COSRX BHA power liquid which I actually prefer so much more than Paula’s Choice. COSRX uses 4% betaine salicylate whereas Paula’s Choice uses 2% salicylic acid. My skin type is combination and my nose and cheeks area are the more prone areas for sebum build up and sebaceous filaments. Maybe the dryness was causing me to produce more oils and sebum which didn’t really help my skin concerns. Salicylic acid is more harsh in comparison to COSRX’s betaine salicylate formula. So after making the switch, I waited one month to see the effects. I thought it wasn’t as effective as Paula’s Choice at first but now I’m really starting to see results. Paula’s Choice BHA would leave me super dry that my pores looked more stretched out. Now with COSRX Blackhead power liquid my pores feel and look tighter? If that’s the right word to describe it. The sebaceous filaments are still there but I know it’s deep and will probably take time if it will ever go away. It is smaller though so YAY! Thank you Cherie for providing a platform where we can encourage each other in being comfortable in our own skin. I know that I have a hard time remembering this on my own but maybe if i write it out it’ll help me to remember that even if it bugs the heck out of you having textured skin is ok. I reviewed PC with 4 stars before but now that I found a better option and was able to see its effects on my skin i’ll be updating my review to 3 stars: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

🔥 Char-hot Tilbury setting POW WOW 💥
Charlotte Tilbury’s airbrush flawless finish setting powder in shade 1 Fair is able to blur imperfections and reduce shine. It provides medium coverage and has a natural luminescent look to it after application. It’s suitable for skin types of: normal/combination/dry and oily. It contains rose wax and almond oil to help moisturize and soften the skin which is great for some of my dryer areas. I dust this all over my face and do a second sweep in my nose and cheeks area since that’s where I produce the most oils throughout the day. I only need make up from 8-5PM and I’m too lazy to lug my make up around for retouching. It sits on my face well during those hours and doesn’t cake. Do you need it? Well, it’s $45. Reasonable considered I’ve purchased more expensive alternatives. So far I love it and if you want it, it can do no wrong!
✨Amazing eyeshadow! I love it!!!
Last month my friend gave this jelly eyeshadow Ventura to me, and I just fall in love with it immediately! It's a very gorgeous and interesting color, cool-toned, light lavender with a sparkle, metallic finish, with a smooth, watery consistency that was thin and wet-feeling as soon as it touched my skin. Great stand alone or layered! It works as a decent highlighter or lip topper as well.. I love it for inner corner, and layering on top of other shadows. I fell that it could not blend out easily once it applied, but it would last for 8 hours without any flaking or creasing. As you can see this eyeshadow is almost panned. I'm worried about drying out so without a doubt, i will get a new soon.

Exfoliating Acids x DermDoctor
Exfoliating acids are an amazing addition to your skincare routine! They have multiple benefits including improving skin texture, tone, and uneven pigment. They also have anti-aging benefits and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles! Exfoliating acids should be used no more than 2x per week with leave on products. Face washes with acids can be used more often. Here’s my rules to the roads (there’s always exceptions, of course) and product picks: Glycolic acid: Most effective but can be irritating with sensitive skin or those who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Salicylic acid: Best for oily, acne-prone skin NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum Lactic acid: Best for dry and combination skin. Exfoliates while hydrating, gentle on the skin, and my personal go-to! SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA Mandelic acid: Most gentle exfoliating acid. How To Get Rid Of Enlarged Pores: Causes And Treatments
In this era where pollution dominates, skin care has become one of the most frequent areas of concern and especially the topic of hypersensitive skin care is very trending these days. Hectic schedules and erratic eating and sleeping habits leave us with very little time to actually take care of our skin and thus we end up with several skin related issues. Large pores have become very common in the past few years and one out of every three people is worried about the same.
This Is What (Eyebrow) Dreams Are Made Of😍✨💛
I find that taking the time once every few weeks to tint my brows rather than do them every morning saves me SO much time.⏰ I’ve been doing this since I was an esthetician, so I figured I’d share my method💁🏼♀️ My favorite to use is the Refectocil - Eyelash and Eyebrow Tint in Pure Black. I mix it with the Refectocil - Oxidant 3% 10vol Liquid developer into a thin pudding consistency, then apply a thick coat to my brows. I wait around 10 minutes for the color to develop, then I wipe off with a paper towel and water. This method is so easy and quick and saves me the hassle of having to worry every morning, if my brows are the right shape, if they’re even, etc. If you want a bolder, darker look, you can do this once a week, but if you want to keep it natural, I do it once every two weeks. It’s totally up to you!☺️

Welcome everyone! Especially all my new followers❤️ I want to let you know how much I appreciate each & every one of you! I’ve been having so much fun on Cherie the last couple months! I follow everyone back & cant wait to see what all my new beauties have in store! Thank you so so much to everyone for all the love & support, it truly means a lot to me💗 When I first became disabled 6 years ago, I simultaneously got really into skincare due to my newfound free time & lack of mobility... Believe it or not, taking care of my skin, as small of a thing as it may have seemed, helped give me confidence to do other things I needed to do like physical therapy. This year, between quarantine & moving to a rural area, I got really into skincare again. This app has been super helpful & motivating! I enjoy writing for you guys so much!✍🏼I never thought I had good enough skin or was a good enough writer to be doing beauty reviews, but it’s always something I had great interest in. So I wanted to share the love by sharing 20 of my favorite Cherie users you should all check out!
