The facts about Vitamin C 🍊🧡
🧡What are the benefits of Vitamin C? Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps to protect your skin from oxidative stress such as pollutants in the air (cigarette smoke, AC vents in your car…etc) and UV radiation. It can also brighten and even out the skin tone, as it decreases melanin production. When you pair Vitamin C with use of SPF you can help brighten dark spots and even prevent hyperpigmentation from occurring. Vitamin C is also great for anti aging, as it directly increases collagen production - in turn, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 🧡What should you look for in a Vitamin C Serum? Packaging is important! You want to look for packaging that is opaque and has the least amount of exposure to the air/light. This is because Vitamin C degrades very quickly when exposed to air and light. It is also a good idea to keep your Vitamin C in a cool, dark place - like a skin care fridge! The cool environment and air tight packaging will help delay the oxidization and expiration process. Color of the serum matters. They usually start out as a light orange/yellow color. Once your Vitamin C serum turns into a dark, deep orange or brown color, it is no longer working & expired. Keeping it in a cool dark place like listed above will help prevent this! It is also best when packaged with a medicine dropper for application. The ideal percentage of Ascorbic acid that you want to look for is 10%-20%. Anything less may not be formulated enough to have any true or lasting results, and anything more could lead to skin irritation. 🧡Can anyone use it? More times than not, Vitamin C is an amazing product for all skin types. You may want to lean on the closer to 10% side if you tend to have more sensitive skin, but it is a great product in general. I do truly love it. HOWEVER, I have learned that it is not the best for certain grades of acne. It is better to combat and get the acne under control first, and then introduce a Vitamin C serum into your routine to heal and clear up scarring. glo - Daily Power C+

2 of my morning products for glowing skin ✨
These two products are an absolute staple in my morning skincare routine. My skin has looked more radiant, bright and glowing ever since adding them into my daily routine. // Daily Power C+ and Daily Hydration serum by GloSkinBeauty // They are the perfect combination of products and here’s why 👇🏼 ⭐️ Daily Power C+ 20% concentration of Vitamin C Improves suppleness of the skin Reduces appearance of pores Reduces fine lines and includes anti aging properties Smoother, younger looking skin ⭐️ Daily Hydration Weightlessly hydrates the skin Hyaluronic Acid (an amazing ingredient for hydration that holds 1000 times it’s weight in water) Good for all skin types Moisture is delivered and maintained in the skin I use the Vitamin C serum more often in the AM rather than my PM routine because it also has ingredients that protect the skin from pollutants in the air as well. Combining these two products has done a complete change to my skin, in a good way. I’ll never go without these two 🙌🏼. * note * in my experience treating clients, Vitamin C isn’t always great for everyone. If you are dealing with active acne, it is best to clear up acne as best as possible before using a daily Vitamin C serum. Some people also have more sensitivity to Vitamin C than others and it may react well with their skin. Like all skin care products, not everyTHING works for everyONE. You have to try things out on your own skin to really see what works for you. 💕 glo - Daily Hydration glo - Daily Power C+ #vitaminc #hyaluronicacid #CherieCreator #gloskinbeauty #serums #glowingskin
I am on a new vitamin c serum & a few other things I’d like to introduce. gloskin makes some beautiful products that are always well thought out & formulated amazingly. They are cruelty free & I loved all their serums I’ve tried in the past. These are the products that will become permanent in my skincare routines the next few months alongside some other favorites: I am so excited to start on a new journey with these beauties and especially try out a new vitamin c ☺️ Daily C + 20% vitamin c delivered with the combination of Et-VC, L-ascorbic acid, & Ascorbyl Glucoside. -This won’t oxidize like other c serums. -Great for dry skin with aging concerns (a.m routine) Hydrator + 2 forms of hyaluronic acid & pairs well with the vitamin c for double the power. Soaks up fast! (a.m & p.m) Restorative Cream for moisturizing very dry, dehydrated skin. Contains resveratrol, Shea butter, & black currant seed oil (p.m) Phyto-Active Oil this is very impressive just like everything else. (p.m)
Love this Vitamin C
For the fact that it has citrus fragrance might be a little disappointment for people with sensitive skin, other than that this serum has been heavenly helpful in reducing dark spots, pigmentations caused by sun exposure! Also undeniable fact this adds life to skin absolutely amazing for everyday skin brightening!!!
🐘Drunk Elephant Night Serum🐘
✨This product is an AHA/BHA (12%) night serum that reveals a smoother and more radiant complexion. Essentially, this is a gentle chemical exfoliant (avoids dryness) compared to their TLC Sukari Babyfacial mask. Chemical exfolients do tend to cause redness and dryness, which is why Drunk Elephant added soothing horse chestnut, bearberry, and white tea to this serum to keep skin calm and prevent irritation. ✨This product is said to resurface dull, congested skin by gently lifting dead skin cells away, revealing an even-toned and radiant complexion. It concludes to help with pores, uneven skin tone and dullness/uneven textures. ✨I use this product almost every night, and immediately after putting it on I see a difference, my skin looked smoother. Obviously it does take time for dark spots and fine lines to fade, but I have noticed that with regular use, the product does exactly that! One of the many things I really do like about this serum is it’s unique texture of a gel. ✨Even though the price of this product is steep, it’s 100% worth the splurge. I give this product a 10/10✨
A vitamin C booster?
I absolute love this serum. I got it in a IPSY bag about a month ago and I have not been able to put it down. The CLEAN SKIN CLUB - Vitamin C Brightening Booster is a great addition to anyone looking to lighten dark mark or acne scars. It’s marketed to use as a lone serum or addition to moisturizer or serum you use. Vitamin C protects you from free radicals , pollution, UV damage, & helps to correct dark spots & fine lines. This serum has pineapple enzymes (combined with the Ascorbic acid for mini exfoliating), watermelon extract (collagen) & green tea (anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial).. It’s for all skin types, great for acne prone skin, & smells amazing (like fruit punch). Only downside is it does retail at $50 (yess honey it’s steep), but honestly you use so little. I mostly use this on my neck (by itself) & mixed into my daytime moisturizer. (About one drop in moisturizer & two drops on neck before moisturizing.

Sweetchef Ginger + Vitamin C Serum Shot
Lets talk about everyone’s brightening bff Vitamin C serum !!! 🍊✨ - I haven’t really tried that many vitamin c serums because after I tried the Mario Badescu one (its trash dont recommend) and had the most awful reaction ever I was basically much scarred from ever using one again. Also a lot of vit c serums are pretty darn pricy and I haven’t gotten myself to actually go out and treat myself to a good one. I picked the Ginger + Vitamin C Serum shot by @sweetchefskin (glow recipes sister brand hi ily) from Target and have been using it consistently in the am for a few weeks - This serum is only $20 which really isn’t bad for a face serum and I have really been enjoying it so far! The serums texture feels a bit tacky at first but it absorbed into my skin so well and it was easy to layer on all my other products. The smell is super subtle/refreshing and not overpowering whatsoever. There wasn’t really any immediate results which I didn’t expect but overtime it has helped with some hyperpigmentation and evening out my skin. My only big downside would have to be the dropper. It was sort of a pain to work with/ product for out, but it wasn’t that big of a deal for me. I wouldn’t say this serum is anything intense so it’s definitely a good vitamin c serum for beginners that wont break the bank! - What are your holy grail Vitamin C serums? I need to try some new ones out 🧡
DARK SPOTS DISAPPEARED!!
Today I have a review of the @skinfixinc correct+ Dark Spot Corrector. Ever since I was diagnosed with mild rosacea I started to notice very small dark spots around my eye area. The topical creams I was prescribed caused my skin to develop a sensitivity to sunlight which in turn has resulted in the dark spots. • • Skinfix is my holy grail skincare brand and I use several of their products in my daily skincare routine. I was excited to hear that they were releasing a dark spot corrector. This serum is a daily treatment, with 10 clinical actives, that work to minimize the appearance of dark spots, brighten skin, and nurture the skin barrier. One of the ingredients in the corrector is turmeric which helps lighten and minimize the appearance of dark spots. The consistency is lightweight and it feels very hydrating on the skin. • • I use it during my PM routine and allow it to do its magic overnight. I have used the corrector every other day for the last 4 weeks and I have seen a significant difference in my dark spots. They have lightened significantly and a few are completely gone!
