HELP ME ( I AM IN NEED OF A ROUTINE)
i have recently been having issues with my skin. i have never had a problem with acne or pimples. i would get an occasional zit but they were easy to get rid of. i really need some help with a skin care routine. i don’t have a strict skin care routine. the only products i use are a burts bees face cleanser and a moisturizer. i don’t do this everyday and i almost always wear some form of makeup when going out ... i am turning 15 in June so i don’t really have a job yet and can’t afford to buy products on my own. unfortunately my mom doesn’t have all the money in the world either. i was very reluctant to post this because of the way i look but i am in desperate need of an affordable skin care routine!!! the reason i cannot come up with my own is because i really just don’t know what i’m doing. i do not have a lot of knowledge abt what is good or bad for your skin and it is a little overwhelming to look up. plz comment some ideas !!! 🥺🌟🌺🌿 btw i am blessed to have balanced skin so i do not need anything super hydrating or not hydrating enough! also i do not need a super long list of products, i do not want my skin to become dependent on products. i believe less is more EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND REMEBER YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT 💕
Looking for skin care routines
I am new to skin care routines. Never really would have acne. Until recently now that I am in college. Not sure if it is the stress of overwhelming life. I was looking for new ideas. I have tried a few products but I thought I could share here what I use and also learn from others.
Let me start by saying: 1. This could be a long post so I apologize 2. I hate my skin and NEVER post a selfie without makeup or a filter so here’s to a first 🍻 I joined this app in order to get actual opinions and reviews on products to help better my skin as my goal is to one day love it! I have always stuck with the same products and never branched out even though it clearly wasn’t working for me. I figure since this app will hopefully bring me down a not so long and happy road to great skin I would share this journey with you to hopefully help/give hope to anyone who is here for the same reason as me. Unedited, no filter, no makeup - just me. Bare faced me. The second picture is one a took a little while ago as I haven’t taken a recent one (sorry it’s a terrible picture). My skin was covered in cystic painful acne and just acne in general. This picture doesn’t even begin to show how bad it actually was. I went on birth control which helped a lot but had to go off of it as I have history of breast cancer in my family and didn’t want to increase my risk any more than it already was and the cystic acne returned. I started to branch out a little bit but not much in the skincare department. I went back to the basics and the first picture is what’s skin looks like now! ❌ I have apple cider vinegar (used as a toner and diluted with water), tea tree oil, and drinking more water to thank for this skin! ❌ 🔅Off topic: Vinegar is an amazing liquid that I recommend everyone start using!! Apple cider vinegar is good for your body and skin and white vinegar is good for laundry and cleaning - I will give more information on how I use it for my skin if anyone is interested.🔅 Most of the marks you can see on my skin now is scarring and pigmentation. I still have some general acne as I am not great with not falling asleep on my dirty couch pillows (thanks to my dog) and some of it is still hormonal. Now that most of the acne is gone I am buying products to focus on clearing up some scarring and will keep you updated on what’s working and what’s not. I posted this as a starting point for me taking a step in the right direction and I look forward to seeing my skin improve! I might post my current skincare routine as it’s not a bad one - I just need to incorporate some more products and change a couple out.
Real Talk: Stress Can Kill Your Skin
NEW BLOG POST! 🌟 Let's do some real talk for one moment. THIS is how your face looks like when you’re stressed. Even when you religiously follow a skincare routine, you can’t avoid the hormonal changes happening inside your body when struggling with stress. ⠀ ⠀ For a few weeks now, I was under what you would call “chronic-stress.” Even though mentally, I had it under control, the extra cortisol in my body was having a game day with my skin. ⠀ ⠀ I wanted to share with you a REAL, no filter, no edits picture of my skin because guess what? Skincare lovers also struggle with hormone fluctuations and breakouts even when we do everything by the book. ⠀ ⠀ Head over my link in bio for all the details 🤓 a bit of science explanations as to why this happens 🧪and my plan to go back to normal. 💗
