My Holy Grail Makeup Tools✨

My Holy Grail Makeup Tools✨

So I am 100% one of those girls who used to apply all of my makeup with my hands/fingers. Even to this day there’s certain products that I’d just rather use my fingers and prefer the finish that gives. However, I (finally) started adding to my collection of makeup tools in recent years and these 3 specifically are ones that have reached holy grail status for me. HALEYS - RE:MIX Complexion Sponge
- I’m a big fan of beauty sponges in general and have used a few different brands over the years. In my opinion, this beauty sponge is comparable to the Beauty Blender and is sold for a fraction of the cost (spoiler - I actually prefer this one!). I love using a damp beauty sponge for concealer and cream products as well as to “bake” my makeup. A little trick I do with my damp beauty sponge as well is to go over my entire face with it after all of my makeup is on and my setting spray has been applied to blend everything in and pick up and excess product - it makes the finish of your makeup look seamless and flawless!REAL TECHNIQUES - Real Techniques Blush Brush
- a friend of mine recommended this brush and said it was amazing for blush and bronzer and she was not wrong! It’s so fluffy and soft but not super dense so it allows you to build up the product for a natural looking finish. This brush is affordable and you can find Real Techniques brushes at lots of drugstores and department stores. • tarte - Setting Superpower Powder Brush
- this brush is huge and super dense which may be intimidating for some people but I loved it from the first time I tried it! The fact that it’s big works perfectly to apply loose or pressed powder with a flawless finish. It’s great because it doesn’t just absorb all of the product into the brush because it is so dense so you don’t use as much powder. I love this one for setting my face or even sometimes for applying powder foundation. It was in a set that Tarte had a few years ago at Sephora that is no longer available so I’m not sure if you can still purchase the brush anywhere, but in general the size and density of this brush is something I’d look for again in a powder brush. Obviously I have other makeup and beauty tools that I love and use often but these 3 are ones that I reach for every day. Thanks for reading! #CheriePartner

REAL TECHNIQUES - Real Techniques Blush Brush My go-to brush for powder! I know it’s a blush brush but I love that it’s not too dense and is able to pick up the perfect amount of powder (AKA enough to dim any shine but not enough to completely mattify my skin). It’s also super inexpensive and can be found at most drugstores! it Cosmetics - Airbrush Dual-Ended Flawless Complexion Brush #132 My go-to brush for blush! The large side is fluffy, round and not too dense- so it applies a sheer amount of color to my cheeks and has the perfect shape for blending and buffing into the skin! It gives a super soft airbrushed effect to my blush. (I don’t really use the smaller side) NUDESTIX - Blend & Buff Brush My favorite brush for bronzer/contour! The bigger side is dense and picks up a decent amount of product. The shape also allows it to “blend and buff” (LOL) bronzer into my skin without sheering it out too much into nothing. The smaller side is also perfect for contouring the nose (if that’s your thing) or for blending cream eyeshadow (what I use it for)! it Cosmetics - Airbrush Blending Crease Brush #105 The BEST brush for concealer! I know using a brush to blend in concealer is a bit controversial as I know MANY people prefer a sponge. But this brush literally airbrushes the concealer under my eyes and makes it look like I don’t have under-eye circles at all! shu uemura - Eyelash curler I don’t always curl my lashes but when I want a dramatic, long-lasting curl for every single lash, this is the one I go for! It grabs onto all my lashes and gives it a true curl. My tip is to curl three sections of the lash (once at the root, once in the middle and once at the ends) to create a real full curl like a “C” and not like an “L”.

Before I start, yes I 100% keep my brushes in a pikachu cup. If you’re a Pokémon nerd as well sound off in the comments and tell me your favorite Pokémon 🖤 I wanted to show you guys the make up brushes I used on the daily. Yes, they are dirty because I do use them daily. On days where I have to get up at 4:30 am for work these are the brushes I grab for my bare minimum make up. First, I use the REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Finish Sponge for my foundation and concealer. This is waaayyy better than any beauty blender. It’s only $5.99, extremely soft, blends in my make up beautifully, and Ulta has them on sale all the time. Next, I use a fluffy crease brush to apply my under eye powder. I know this sounds weird but I picked up this has for TikTok and it’s changed my game. I pick up a little bit of my powder on a little fluffy brush and brush the powder on from the outer corner to the inner corner to set my concealer. It’s helped a lot with minimizing creases. Mine is from the purple Morphe holiday set last year. I love Morphe brushes and I do think they work very well for the price. Then, I take an even fluffier crease brush and I take my bronzer and fluff a little bit of that into the crease. This brush is a SL Miss Glam brush I got years ago in an Ipsy bag. A fluffy brush really helps diffuse the product naturally into the crease and gives you a little bit of definition. Then, I take my LUXIE - 516 Duo Fibre Powder Brush Rose Gold for my bronzer. I also got this in an old Ipsy bag years ago. The way the bristles are fluffed out gives a really natural, diffused bronzer look. I’ve been highly impressed with Luxie brushes over the years. I’ve had this for probably over 5 years and it’s never shed or lost shape when I washed it. It’s probably one of the best quality brushes I own. Then, I set my face with powder using the it Cosmetics - Your Contour Must-Haves Brush Set . Just like Luxie, IT Cosmetics has amazing quality brushes. The softness of them cannot be surpassed. I like the flat edge of this brush as it makes it very easy to press powder into the skin to set my face. Then, if I’m feeling blush that day I use my #Glamour Dolls - Angle Blush Brush[products]#[FiveStars] . Again, this came from an Ipsy bag years ago and it’s held up so well! It’s very soft and the angle of the brush makes it perfect for diffusing blush on the cheeks. I have A LOT more brushes than this but on those 4:30 am days these are the ones I grab for. Even on the normal shift days I grab for these. I highly recommend any of them for daily make up use. #CheriePartner

My Makeup Brush and I have something to say💁🏻‍♀️👇🏼 . Trolling has become a literal trend. I am aware that many people who leave nasty comments get some kind of inner satisfaction because it makes them feel less bad about themselves by pointing out “flaws” in others Fact of the matter is: You will never see someone doing good in life, demean another person, as they are too busy self reflecting and growing💁🏻‍♀️ . So here’s what I do, if you’re on the receiving end, the next time you receive a negative comment ( not talking about constructive criticism ), by an aunty, uncle( yes those 40yr old men who dm), stranger on social media, think of the fact above and simply IGNORE. Your mental health will sky rocket✨ Everyone is capable of replying with hurtful words, but I won’t bite because they’re probably already fighting a war on the inside and I got better things to do🤓 That being said I am appreciative of everyone who have my back in the comments on Youtube and Instagram ❤️ . Sending love and hugs to ALL✨ XO

Nowadays you can’t do your makeup without using a sponge. A lot of people mainly use sponges to do the first 3 steps to their face routine. For me, I like to alternate between sponges & brushes. I’ve tried the beloved beautyblender - Classic Makeup Sponge Pinkand it’s nice, she cool, BUT I literally DON’T feel like spending $20 every 6 months for a new sponge so after buying my last Beauty Blender in 2017 I haven’t bought another one since. Since 2017 i’ve been trying literally every OTHER beauty sponge I could find from every other brand. I even tried a Dior beauty sponge thinking higher end but sponge but 🥴. That sponge is $24 retail but I worked at the Saks at the time so employee discount made it $17 🎊. After time i tried more lower end brands. Below are my Top 5 AFFORODBLE beauty sponges! 1. MORPHE - Highlight + Contour Beauty Sponge I use this SOLEY FOR BAKING. It gets under the eyes perfectly, cleans up a contour nicely & it very soft. $8.00 2.#sonia kashuk - Marble Makeup Blender Sponge love how soft and flat the bottom of this is. Honestly one of the prettiest sponges I have. Currently I have 3 of these sponges & they all have different color marbles on them. I like to use to pounce all over my face after i’m done setting with powder, bronzing, and setting the face. $5.00 3. e.l.f. - Camo Concealer Sponge THIS SPONGE IS AMAZING. I need to buy a backup of it because I see everyone knows what’s good. This sponge for blending out CONCEALER is A1. I also do use the corresponding e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer so these two are like Jay-z & Beyoncé. 4.MORPHE - Flawless Beauty Sponge This is another soft sponge. It’s also great for blending in all all over powder & bronzer into the face. it’s a soft and squishy sponge. $8.00 * I did try the JUNO & Co. - Microfiber Velvet Spongesponges, i bought them in two different styles. TO ME they are a little hard. people rave about them but idk maybe I need to use them more 🤷🏾‍♀️

These two are my ride and die whenever I do my makeup! Some products I like to use the beauty blender, however there are some products where I like to use my kabuki brush. I love the beauty blender because of how soft and easy to apply it is. I lightly dab it on my face for the perfect coverage. I got both of them at Sephora during one of their sales. And this Tarte kabuki is so densely packaged that it doesn’t streak your product on your face and looks flawless!! I bought this at Ulta a while back and have been trying to keep it in perfect shape because the only downside is that it’s a bit pricey! Depending on the kind of makeup I wanna use, I always got for one of these two!! beautyblender - Classic Makeup Sponge Pink tarte - The Buffer Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush

Anyone who has ever used Real Techniques brushes know that this brand is simply incredible! The quality of what you get, and the great price of the brushes makes it a staple in anyone's makeup bag and a repeat purchase! I have every brush in the RT collection and finally decided to get the REAL TECHNIQUES - Flawless Base Brush Set. Of course, I knew these brushes would be no different from my other beloved RT brushes. They are all so great. The bristles are soft, making it great for my sensitive skin. The bristles hold powder/cream/liquids like a dream! The application is smooth and the brush just seems to glide across your skin setting makeup in place. My favorite brush in this pack is the Multi-use brush (the fluffy pink one). It's great for applying my powders all over my face to set my foundations. I can also use the same brush to apply my blushes, powders or creams! The foundation brush in this set is bigger than the foundation brush in the Core set, making this one more likely to use. The smaller one I only use for concealer. The bigger bristle head on this brush does make applying cream or liquid foundations a little easier than the Core set Foundation brush. I really enjoy that they have put an eye brush in this set too. It truly is a travel set. You get your foundation brush, your multi-tasker, and an eye brush. You can do a complete look from home or on the road for travel with this one kit. The packaging is cute, and you still get that great brush holder to carry your brushes with you wherever you go. This ensures your brushes stay in place and don't get messed up like they would in your cosmetic bag. If you are a first time purchaser of Real Techniques, I would highly recommend this Travel set and the Core set and I promise you won't be disappointed! Both sets are great and you'll get a great idea of how RT brushes work. You'll be so pleased and want to start collecting them all.
