š§Eight Saints Saltš§: The Blue
barbarella
Youāve been warned. Those with heart problems, please be advised that this is a high salt content post.
I joined Cherie just to spill tea about this brand in particular so enjoy my miniseries on the pitfalls of paying for pretty and overformulated products. See my first post for a general brand spotlight, but hereās the essential tea for this brand:
šµexorbitant prices are unreasonable
šµoverlapping actives making you buy more for no reason
šµhorrible sticky sweet smells to every product
šµformulas that combine actives generally advised to be applied separately
šµthey didnāt improve my skin in two weeks nearly enough to buy anything more from them

EIGHT SAINTS MORNING ROUTINE š¦
EIGHT SAINTS - Bright Side This would not be a product I opt for in the future, just due to personal preference. If you are looking for an extremely gentle cleanser this just may be your HOLY GRAIL. For me it worked well enough and that is really it
EIGHT SAINTS - Zen Out Of Ten After using the bright side cleanser as mentioned earlier I was happy to follow up with this. My skin felt very clean after, but this is not a daily use product as it is a mechanical exfoliator. This product exfoliates nicely leaving you with a glow after just one use.
EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum I did feel hydrated after application, and liked the results. The only draw back ( which is definitely personal) It took longer than I would have wished for it to absorb in.
EIGHT SAINTS - Seeking C I loved the way this absorbed right into my skin, and did not leave me feeling dry like some vitamin c products have in the past
EIGHT SAINTS - Soulmate This brightening treatment smooths evenly over your skin, and works nicely as a primer under makeup. I do live products that have multi use and that is definitely influencing my decision on a five star rating over four
EIGHT SAINTS - Day Dreamer āhydration heroā is how eight saint describes this product and I do have to agree. This delivered nice moisture through out the day and at no point on this humid hot summer day did it make my skin feel oily or suffocated.
As I stated in my previous post this is also the recommended steps from Eight Saints for day time use. I have noticed my skin and complexion look smoother and brighter. As a whole I enjoyed these products more than the night time routine. I plan on following both Eight Saints regiments for the next few weeks to really give these products a chance. I look forward to giving you guys an update down the line š

My face smells like a candy shop ā sticky
Wow am I deeply disappointed in this cheap sampler kit! I recently got into skincare, and like most things new to me I did a ton of research but needed to go out and try something to see the knowledge put into action. A social media ad recommended this Discovery Kit and I was hype: 10 dollars for a high-end (in price anyway) skincare routine. Clean, vegan, and aesthetic. Nice!
For starters, I knew that I was going to have a tale to tell when the sample sizes were significantly smaller than the picture. Yes, they photoshopped the kit to look larger. Hey ā not a big deal, they said each sample was less than an ounce so whoās complaining? Not me! Sadly this was the first of many wools pulled over my proverbial eyes.
Okay, letās get serious: this whole brand is way overpriced and not that impressive. My skin didnāt look or feel better after a couple of weeks, not nearly enough for me to want to buy into their $600 (yes that much) routine. I couldnāt even find a single product I liked enough to use the included coupon for. Iām not going to this brand again. Itās the epitome of branding and buzz words slapped onto a lousy product.
Not only that, but most of their overpriced products overlap in ingredients and even have ingredients that arenāt usually recommended together in the same product. Their name comes from the idea that only 8 skincare ingredients are effective, but using combos of those 8 makes it look like they ran out of ideas. The overlap in all of their products makes it seem like Iām getting bamboozled into layering the same thing over and over. Like a child who has to paint a rainbow with two colors. Apparently my skin also was confused because these products did nothing to my skin and even felt icky when I used them. I tried taking products slowly out of the routine to find holy grails but everything made me feel gross in some way. Iāll admit I discarded the worst offenders before using them all the way up, they just bothered me that badly.
Steer clear of this overpriced, ineffective, and downright icky skincare.

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer
This moisturizer is designed for sensitive skin and is designed to not feel greasy on the skin. It has such a light consistency and immediately absorbs into my face. It makes the perfect base for underneath makeup because it absorbs so quickly. I have been using it for about a month now and love it! It is also free from harsh chemicals and only uses the simplest ingredients. It is only $12 and can be bought at your local drugstore, so I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a good and simple everyday moisturizer.

MY THOUGHTS: I use in the morning at the end of my routine. I rub it into my hands after putting on my face and everything feels so soft. I confess I started putting on my hands after washing themā£ā£ throughout the day to keep moisturized because I HATE dry hands. They creep me out when my hands get dry and I touch things. Am I the only one? š I also really enjoy the mild floral scent although if you are scent sensitive, you may not like. For me, also knowing it is paraben and phthalate free is a huge selling point. ā£ā£

SIMPLE AND KIND TO THE SKINšš±
***if you havenāt found that perfect moisturizer yet please keep reading***
I have been a ride or die to Ponds Dry Skin Moisturizer for many years, but lately the consistency is starting to leave my skin a bit too greasy and since summer is right around the corner I needed a quick switch!
I have tried all of the drug store moisturizers to date but nothing has stood out to me and left my face feeling right!
Itās either too oily or it pillsš nothing is worse than spending the extra time and putting in that extra care while doing your skin care regimen for you to find that your moisturizer has pilled and you look like a barcode sticker that someone has attempted to remove with water and bunches up into little balls all over your merchandise!!!
This is my hands down favourite face moisturizer I have ever tried in my entire life!!!! I am not kidding!!!
x Simple KIND TO SKIN* Replenishing Rich Moisturizer / 12 Hour
Full of skin loving ingredients that leave your skin feeling nourished and replenished! A little goes a long way with this one, especially after oils, serums and acids. This moisturizer is so light and clean. It truly leaves your face supple and smooth! NO PILLS!!!
-enriched with Pro-Vitamin B5 and Bisabol which help soothe, replenish and hydrate your skin!
ALSO FREE OF:
-no artificial colours/perfumes
-no harsh chemicals
I bought this at Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto Ontario for $13. I simply cannot say NOš
Derma E Vitamin C Intense Night Cream
I havenāt used many Derma E products...but I can most definitely say that this one was the best! I have been using this moisturizer every night for the past 6 months and wow, have I seen results! I have really dry skin in the winter months and this kept my face/neck so soft and full of moisture! Itās vegan and cruelty free too!!!
The only thing about it that I was not extremely excited about was that it contains āNatural Fragrance Oilsā. And if Iāve learned anything for Hyram (the king of skincare) itās that fragrance, in any form, is very bad for sensitive skin. DERMAā¢E - Vitamin C Intense Night Cream
DERMAā¢E-Vitamin C Intense Night Cream
Rawgaia Organic Hemp Glow Balm
It is so beautiful and I was so excited to try. Unfortunately when I checked the ingredients, it just isn't suited to my skin š. Cacao butter completely breaks me out and I've recently come to learn that hemp oil equally breaks me out.
However the product itself is absolutely gorgeous and my dƩcolletage really appreciates this. A tiny bit goes a long way and it instantly gives my neglected neck the boost it forever needs, my battered hands are actually really lapping this up aswell.
I am so sad that my face won't enjoy it but I'm glad other body parts are loving it.
I personally would say it's better suited for someone with dry skin.
Best Moisturizer for oily skin
Reasons I love this product
1. Affordable
2. Moisturizing
3. Smells amazing
4. Perfect size
5. Feels nice on skin (gel/creamy feel)
Oily skin still needs moisture and this moisturizer gives the perfect amount. Itās only $6 which I believe is very affordable. Why buy expensive moisturizers when you can get this for the same quality.
