Mixing Vitamin C + Retinol – Yes or No?
One of the most effective combinations of skincare ingredients I can vouch for is Vitamin C + Retinol. Vitamin C is such a power antioxidant in our lives, in both the food we consume or in our skin care. My combination skin, with dry cheeks and a shiny T-zone benefits so much from Vitamin C, especially on days when my skin looks lackslustre and dull. Vitamin C definitely helps to boost my skin radiance and evens out my skin tone. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A, one of the most useful remedies for signs of aging skin. It is also the top ingredient prescribed by dermatologists to improve the appearance of collagen-depleted skin, boost skin renewal and reduce the signs of aging. As there are contrasting pH levels of retinol and vitamin C, it is believed that both ingredients should not be applied together. However, studies have shown the retinol-vitamin C combination to be effective in reversing both natural aging. My trick is to use them at separately in my day and evening routines. Vitamin C is known to increase the effectiveness of retinol by stabilizing the ingredient. When applied correctly, both can form a barrier that shields the skin from the harmful environmental factors that cause skin damage, such as sun rays and pollution. An easy way for me to incorporate both ingredients in my skincare routine is CLINIQUE - Fresh Pressed Clinical Daily + Overnight Boosters With Pure Vitamin C 10% + A (Retinol)

Retinol & Hyaluronic Acid – Can You Use Them Together?
If you have read my previous reviews, you should know that I am a big fan of retinol products, espeically my CLINIQUE - Fresh Pressed Clinical Daily + Overnight Boosters With Pure Vitamin C 10% + A (Retinol). The product works well to soothe my combination skin, and to boost the amount of collagen and plumps out skin, cutting down fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps to improve the skin tone and uneven patches. While there are seemingly endless praises of retinol, there is also another side effect that it could be drying for the skin. Retinol is known to cause irritation to the skin, especially when a proper moisturizing regimen is not put in place. As the skin on my cheeks and neck can be dry, I need to ensure that I use a strong moisturizing agent such as hyaluronic acid to complement retinol, and my choice of weapon is LANCÔME - Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum. Retinol is an incredible tool to speed up cellular turnover smooth skin and hyaluronic acid helps draw water into the skin providing a plump, glowing complexion. I use the two products as part of my evening skincare routine to ensure that my skin gets both healing and hydration while I sleep. To use, I cleanse and tone my face before adding a drop of retinol on my face. I continue with a generous drop of serum before finishing with a rich face cream. The serum is a beauty favorite formulated with a blend of bifidus prebiotic, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and ceramides, and its lightweight texture makes it easy to layer with another moisturizer. I also like to keep a bottle in the fridge for instant soothing relief after being a day outdoors. A drop of the serum in my foundation also helps to create dewy skin. To use, I cleanse and tone my face before using a drop of retinol on my face. I continue with a generous drop of serum before finishing with a rich face cream.
🤔Are they worth the money? CLINIQUE fresh pressed A+C booster👉👉👉
CLINIQUE - Fresh Pressed Clinical Daily + Overnight Boosters With Pure Vitamin C 10% + A (Retinol) 1.CLINIQUE - Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% First off, let me just make it clear that it’s really hard to see significant results in just 7 days, unless the product is really potent, or you really have a problem that needs solving. The Fresh Pressed Daily Booster only contains 10% Vitamin C. High, but not as high as my other serum that had 20%. So, to be honest, I didn’t expect much of a result. You know what? It turns out I was right. This did nothing for me, in that I saw no results after the 1 week I was supposed to be using it. Nothing significant anyway. My skin didn’t look any clearer or brighter, sad to say. It’s actually quite a poor representation of a product for me, because I’m now not interested in trying the full 1 month regimen. A case when the sample puts me off. The other interesting thing I noted is that while the vial is supposed to last you 1 week, I found that it actually lasts longer than that. I used it twice a day for the first week but because there’s still product in there, and I didn’t want to waste my money, I’ve been using up the balance and thus far, it’s still going strong 2 weeks on, although I only use it once a day now. The directions call for you to discard it after 7 days, but seriously, why would I want to throw my money away? 😛 So all in all, just based on this Fresh Pressed 7 Day System, I’ll say that I’m not sold on this Fresh Pressed Daily Booster serum. It’s too fiddly, it works out bloody expensive, and I don’t know why they bothered selling a 7 day system because for me, it did nothing. That said, maybe if you’ve never used a vitamin c serum, you may notice some results – significantly, brighter more even toned skin. For me, I’m moving on. 2.CLINIQUE overnight booster with pure vitamin A (retinol) I’ll just call it the Clinique Fresh Pressed retinol, to keep things more concise. When I heard about it, I was super curious. I am starting to incorporate products with Vitamin A (Retinol) into my skincare routine, so any new retinol product intrigues me. The Clinique Fresh Pressed Retinol comes in packaging very similar to that of their Fresh Pressed Vitamin C serum. The concept is quite simple. That is very clever, especially for the Vitamin C serum, an ingredient which is notoriously unstable. But when it comes to Vitamin A, I did wonder about why they had to go through this, when Vitamin A is quite commonly sold premixed, and appears to be fairly stable. Retinol or Vitamin A derivative products serve a skin cell renewal function, collagen production and fight free radicals. It is the only ingredient that is proven to reduce lines and wrinkles, plump up skin and smoothen skin. Alongside, it also helps some people clear up pigmentation caused by the sun and also clear up acne. When using a retinol, there are a few things that you must take note of (especially if you are new to it):- * You must use it at night – Retinol can make skin reactive to UV rays, so using at night is recommended * You must wear high SPF sunscreen daily – aren’t you?! * You may experience dryness and skin may flake – retinol does this and many people don’t realize it. For some, their skin flakes and then new skin is all wonderfully smooth. For others, they don’t experience anything so dramatic. If dryness or flakiness happens, stop and slow down. * You must not use retinol together with exfoliators – This includes acids like glycolic or lactic acid, scrubs or anything abrasive. Don’t or your face may fall off * You should not use retinol or any Vitamin A derivative if pregnant or breastfeeding The results from just 7 days of using the Clinique Fresh Pressed Retinol serum have been impressive. I must say that I did notice results almost immediately. The first night I used it, I woke up the next morning to noticeably smoother skin. You can tell when you wash your face in the morning. It’s that kind of smoothness that makes you not want to stop touching your face. This smoothness and softness has been a key observation for me the past week. I cannot vouch for line smoothening as it’s only been 1 week and I don’t have significant lines to boast of. Also, I can’t vouch for firmer skin, as again, it’s just been a week. But I can vouch for brighter, more even-toned, less reactive skin. Have you tried them before? Let me know!
All You Need To Know About Vitamin C & Retinol – How I Use Them
My skin is combination skin, meaning my skin is dry and sometimes flaking on the cheeks, while oil and shine appears on other areas, especially on the forehead, nose and chin. As I am past 30 years old now, I am looking for a skincare product that helps to soften the appearance of wrinkles, refine skin texture, and improve uneven skin tone – all of which retinol and vitamin C can be useful for. You have probably seen “retinol” in skin care products and beauty articles but what is it exactly? A derivative of vitamin A, the powerful ingredient helps fight against signs of aging skin. It is also the top ingredient prescribebd by dermatologists to improve the appearance of collagen-depleted skin, boost skin renewal and reduce the signs of aging. Vitamin C is a proven antioxidant that helps to brighten skin, even out tone, shield from pollution, improve hydration, and reduce signs of aging – which all sound good to me. A convenient way for me to incorporate both ingredients in my skincare routine is Clinique Fresh Pressed Clinical Daily + Overnight Boosters. The booster serums come in a set of Pure Vitamin C 10% for day use and Vitamin A (Retinol) for night use. The potent day-and-night serum system definitely helped to brighten and tighten my overall skin tone in a short time. To activate the serum in bottle, remove foil at the end of the bottle and firmly press inner bulb two times to release vitamin into the de-aging soothing emulsion. Shake 15 seconds. Remove cap and press bulb two to three times to dispense into palm of hand. Mix in a dollop of moisturizer and soothe all over face. I would recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a quick boost before an important event or during days when you feel like your skin needs a strong and powerful recharge. After use, the pores on my skin appear smaller and my skin texture definitely felt improved. Whilst the system is effective and simple to add to my beauty routine, it can still be pretty pricey to use in the long run as each set only lasts for about 7 days.

Good products to fade the hyperpigmentation
1.PROX by OLAY dermatological brightening spot fading essence OLAY - ProX Spot Fading Treatment For Even Tone I’ve known this product for a while but just began to try it 1 month ago. Because in my mind most of the brightening products would irritate my sensitive skin. BUT this one is a big surprise. It’s very safe with visible results. It was recommended by so many people, which also included several dermatologists. It targets and treats skin issues at the source to fade the look of hyperpigmentation. After using it for about 4 weeks, I can feel that it improves the appearance of my skin, and always leaves me with a brighter, more even tone skin. Its potent combination of niacinamide, sepiwhite and laminaria saccharina extract （which are its patented ingredients) helps to fade the look of skin discoloration such as sun spots and dark patches. 2. NEUTROGENA healthy skin anti-wrinkle cream: A retinol facial treatment with Muti-vitamins #NEUTROGENA - healthy skin anti-wrinkle cream: A retinol facial treatment with Muti-vitamins[products]#[FiveStars] It was dermatologist recommended. The salicylic acid acne treatment can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, meanwhile treat and help prevent blemishes. I should say the effect was amazing. I can’t believe it can improve my skin texture in such a dramatic way with so reasonable price. It's never greasy, and as long as I use it every day, I rarely get a blemish. Another thing it helps is to fade dark spots. I had some mild hyperpigmentation on my neck and chin from prior acne, and this product significantly faded it. Retinol is applied in this product, which is the purest form of vitamin A, works deep within skin's surface where wrinkles develop. Salicylic acid, a proven acne-fighting ingredient, penetrates deep into pores to treat blemishes and help prevent future breakouts. This light, oil-free formula glides on easily and absorbs quickly with no greasy residue. ONE THING SHOULD PAY ATTENTION!! When using this product skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical medication at the same time. So plz check your routine products carefully.

You Don’t Think You Need Essence Until You Come Across This!
If you’re a skincare addict like me, you know as well as I do that glycolic acid is such a power ingredient when it comes to minimizing fine lines, evening out the skin tone, treating huge pores, and sloughing off dead skin cells. So, when I came across this essence, I knew I had to try it out. CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence I wasn’t a fan of essences, after my first ever purchase a few years ago (that was the iconic SK-II Pitera Essence). Unfortunately, that expensive essence didn’t really do anything on my skin. My faith for essences has been revived when I saw this virtually sitting on Sephora while I was browsing. Since I loved the brand’s hydration serum from its Vinosource range, I thought this essence will do wonders on my skin the way its serum has done. Turns out, I was right! Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence attributes its powerhouse brightening and smoothing features to glycolic acid, white peony, and Caudalie’s signature organic grape water. Glycolic essence is an exfoliant; it removes dead skin cells and gently sloughs off dry skin that’s lurking on top of our faces. It’s an effective ingredient for revealing a newer, fresher layer of skin, rendering us a more youthful look. It also assists in collagen production, which therefore helps in minimizing fine lines and wrinkles and maintaining skin’s youthful glow and elasticity. White peony unclogs and tightens huge pores, making our skin look younger and tighter. It’s a natural anti-inflammatory agent, which aids in treating skin inflammation and treats redness, rashes, and skin scarring. It’s Mother Earth’s natural brightening ingredient, eventually leading to fading of scars. The brand’s signature organic grape is a wonderful moisture-sealing and calming agent. This essence felt hydrating on my skin, and I felt like it allows the rest of my skincare product to be absorbed by my skin easier, making them work twice as hard to give me the best skin ever. The combination of glycolic acid, white peony, and organic grape water is the perfect hybrid of ‘chemical’ exfoliation and sealing of hydration after, rendering us youthful-looking, glowing, and evened out skin tone. I can’t recommend this enough! Another good news is that it’s vegan and is made from 100% natural ingredients! Winner!

BEST AHA/BHA night glow serum!
Product: This is a 3-in-1 night serum that resurfaces, hydrates, refines, and clarifies dull skin for a natural glow. The formula contains 14% AHA/BHA flower acids that blend together to reveal a youthful complexion. The blend of AHA from gentle acids exfoliates dead skin cells, promotes cell renewal, targets hyperpigmentation, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The BHA from willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid, helps minimize the appearance of pores. How to use: I apply 2 pumps onto my fingertips before bed and apply it to my face. I avoid my eye and mouth area because this is a strong product. It dries within 3-5 minutes and additional face oil can be used if you need extra moisture. (I have extremely dry skin and don’t feel the need to apply facial oil over this serum). I apply it 2-3 times a week, but it may be build up to more frequent uses. My thoughts: I was skeptical to try this serum because I have extremely dry and sensitive skin but I was blown away by this serum! My skin usually acts negatively to most products but I had no issues with this serum. I actually noticed instant results from only my first use. My skin glowed so bright, it could blind someone. I was also shocked by how smooth it made my skin feel, I couldn’t believe it. I did feel a slight tingling sensation (in the directions it says it may tingle) but my skin didn’t get red or irritated like it does with other strong products. I highly recommend this for all skin types!

The best moisturizing serum for me | 👍🏻
Here comes my favourite face serum — Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate~ I have oily skin and prone to acne. The primary issue for my skin is to keep the balance of water and oil, because the lack of water will lead to more oil. You know, it is so hard for oily skin to find a serum which is hydrated but not sticky at all. In order to guarantee the moisturizing effect, some highly acclaimed serum have very sticky texture, and that will make me feel very greesy and easy to cause acne. Luckily, I finally found this, Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, the perfect moisturizing essence for me. Slide to see the texture, you can see that it is very thin and light. When you apply it on your face, it gets absorbed very fast, injecting nutrients and moisture quickly into the skin basal layer, and your face will feel very plump and refreshed, but without any greasy sense. If I don’t do a good job for hydration, I would wake up with an oily face, but with this serum, every morning I wake up with a pumped and barely oil-shine face. I think I will use this serum FOREVER!!!! If you are finding a moisturizing serum without greasy, try this!!!
