So far I am super happy with how my skin is looking! I started on January 6, and today is February 16. The end of my 90 days will be either at the end of March or at the beginning of April, so I’m about halfway there. The struggle for me right now is that my skin changes day to day. One day I will wake up with lots of cystic pimples, and one dat, like today, my skin will have none. I definitely still have dark marks, but I’m okay with that for now! As long as they aren’t active I am happy lol. I still seem to get acne flares on my period, which is discouraging considering Spironolactone is for hormonal acne. I’m just trying to trust the process🧐 I realized that I haven’t talked about my daily morning and night routine, so here it is! Morning: -cleanse with either PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser
My Winter 2021 Skincare Routine
Hey guys, I’m going to be reviewing my 2021 winter skincare routine! PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block This sunscreen is my go to. It’s so light and amazing, and really does the job. Keeping those UV rays without even being able to tell I have a sunscreen on. This sunscreen leaves no white cast either. Amazing! Mineral sunscreens are very sustainable as well. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I’ve been using this Salicylic Acid based cleanser for a couple months now, and can for sure tell the difference of the texture of my skin, and my pores. I’ll be also posting a full review of this product as well. No fragrance, and gets all the dirt and excess makeup off my skin. Amazing and no bad reactions! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I’ve already reviewed this serum, so you can scroll down my account to see my opinion, but it is amazing. Super hydrating, light, a little tacky feel at first (takes a second to absorb into my skin) but afterwards I have a plump and hydrated feeling throughout my skin! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I started using this serum late July 2020. So far, no bad thoughts about it. This serum is super light, and really makes a difference. I’ll also be posting a full review on this product. A big difference in my pores since before I started using it. Less clogged pores, and a much smoother texture skin in problematic areas. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream This is my favorite winter moisturizer. It’s super thick, and absorbs well into my skin. It leaves me skin with a nice and soft feel to it. Using this moisturizer during the winter is amazing because it leaves my skin very hydrated throughout the whole day without any dry patches! CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I’ve been using this since the summer of 2020, and I haven’t noticed much of a difference. You could probably just use your moisturizer as an eye cream, because I can’t tell a difference in my skin. I’m not going to waste it though and I’ll finish it off. Otherwise just use moisturizer as an eye cream. Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant Lastly, my favorite lip balm. The best way to keep your lips moisturized all year long is to use this product. I haven’t had any cracked lips or lip problems in years since I started using this product. Amazing and will never stop using Aquaphor!
Earth to Skin from Walmart of all places
Hey lovelies! I just purchased this manukau honey mini set from Walmart and after my first use I am pleasantly surprised. I have weird “acne” issues for a while now and I am currently in my mid 30s with the same issues. I say “acne” because I mostly get closed comedones that sometimes turn to a small active legion. Additionally, I do suffer from eczema around my nose and in the nasal folds going towards my mouth. I normally use CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream but felt like it still leaves my skin dry so I have to use Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant on my eczema prone areas. This line feels very hydrating and gentle. earthtoskin - Honey Manuka Calming Face Cleanser The cleanser is good for sensitive skin and doesn’t strip it but doesn’t seem to do much else. earthtoskin - Honey Manuka Calming Day Gel Cream This moisturizer is very light but still hydrating. Leaves my skin a bit sticky but over time it goes away. Need to use it more for better feedback. earthtoskin - Honey Manuka Calming Night Cream This night cream my favorite product from the kit. It very thick and emollient which makes it hard to apply but it absorbs nicely leaving my skin feeling hydrated and soft. I didn’t need to use aquaphor on my eczema areas after use of this. earthtoskin - Honey Royal Jelly Calming Eye Cream This eye cream was hydrating and a nice addition to the routine. This can make your eyes a bit blurry but I have that issue with most eye creams. Overall great kit and very affordable for only $10 with a natural honey scent. Will report back with updates on empties. -K
another two bite the dust ✌🏻
Two more empties: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray I’ve already reviewed this toner on my previous post. I like the sprayer aspect but the formula is just meh. Nothing to write home about. I’ll keep the spray bottle to reuse again but probably won’t repurchase this toner in the near future. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil The smell was a little weird at first, think olive oil, but overall the consistency and the way it felt being massaged into my skin won me over. I loved this product but will not be repurchasing due to the backlash the brand is receiving due to racist comments made by the brand’s creator. As consumers, we are powerful. We have the power to perpetuate wealth for creators. We vote with our wallets. I will not continue to support or buy a brand that has questionable ethics. I have instead chosen to purchase THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm as it’s replacement! Have you tried these products? What do you think? Do ethics play in to which brands you purchase from? Let me know ☺️
It’s skin ✨
So for started I did repurchase this cream 7- single pod vitamin c , I know I said I wouldn’t due to fragrance but it made my skin feel so nice and look amazing in my opinion ! Also super excited to try these sheet masks I purchased the snail mask (heard snail is amazing for you) and received the balancing sheet free as well as some samples for their variation of serums I currently own the PO effector which I love ! My total was $22 for the snail sheet mask and cream pods which is not bad as the pods are a 2-3 time use and switched into my skin care with masks and other skincare ☺️ I hate that the pods are single use as it’s a lot of waste but it’s because there are two creams in the pod that you are suppose to mix upon opening packet You’re supposed to use it same day and to me that’s 24 which means I use it 2-3x a day ☺️ Perfect for morning and nighttime I also cleanse with an oil or foam cleanser before handDHC - Deep Cleansing Oil CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser or with my facial bar GOOD MOLECULES - Clarify & Cleanse Bar I don’t like fragranced products but it’s not overbearing and the results have been great Will continue use and definitely browse rest of the line as they have all kinds of great claims ! I feel like it’s rebuilt my skin barrier 😅❣️
January 11, 2021 My skin was not the greatest. It overall got so bad and honestly I was eating so much junk food, drinking not a lot of water and skipping out on my skin routine because I was lazy. After 2 weeks my skin has just a few pimples but overall makes me feel confident. January 24, 2021 I stayed with my regular skin routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Avène - CLEANANCE SUNSCREEN SPF 50+ And just trusted the process and tried to not pick on them. I am super happy with how I’ve recently managed my skin and all I needed to do was stick to what i should do and continue doing that. > I drink 1500ml+ a day >Started to workout daily, even for just a few minutes > And felt more confident I have a hard time maintaining healthy skin but I will continue improving my diet, drinking more water and etc... I got so mad but I needed to love myself no matter what because, acne just makes you even more beautiful. I have learned to love myself and I’m happy with who I’ve become throughout this 2 week journey.
Please help me, any advice will help
Hi everyone, so recently I have been getting acne all over my forehead and now more around my cheeks. My skin type is Normal-Dry Skin Also I know that my skin isn’t as bad as other people, however- I am only comparing my skin with myself. No one else. I don’t know what to do to help make it better. I have a hard time maintaining my skin to keep it clear because one day could look nice then in 2 days I break out. > I always try to drink 1500ml of water everyday > However I do struggle a bit with eating. Some mornings I will skip breakfast and sometimes even lunch. If I eat something it could also be something sugary. I always want to eat and everything however, I just don’t have time to prepare and when there’s no food at home I just skip eating. - I will for sure work on that but just eating 3 meals a day, will it change my skin? And what foods are best to eat? Skin Care Routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Avène - CLEANANCE SUNSCREEN SPF 50+ (Sunscreen for the mornings) I don’t have a solid routine and I am working on it. I just don’t want to use so much on my face. What else is best to add to my routine? How do I also take care of active acne? I know I shouldn’t pop them but sometimes they’re just so big and I feel like that’s what everyone just see when they talk to me/look at me.
Empty + Newbie!
After about a month and a half of using this mini moisturizer by Peach & Lily, I made it to the end and decided I didn’t want the magic to end! ✨ This moisturizer is perfect for me, as I have oily and acne prone skin. It is not too heavy, actually, it’s pretty light, but I still get the moisture that I need during the day. It smells just like you would think, like matcha and green tea, mixed with florals. (I can’t get enough of it) On the other hand, I must confess I do not use this at night because I need a lot more moisture as I have been starting on tretinoin (dries out skin intensely) so I use First Aid Beauty at night. I love the peach and lily during the day, and will continue to purchase! If you haven’t tried it, definitely check out their 4 mini pack with the cleanser, essence, serum, and moisturizer! It’s amazing! As always, thanks for reading! 💖 PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream
Brand Spotlight: Peach & Lily
Happy water shot Wednesday💦💦 I love K-Beauty. This is probably one of my favorite brands that have given results. If you’re aiming for an even skin tone, texture minimization, and hydrating factors this is a go to! (L👉🏾R) PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum I use this baby every night! If you use a retinol or acid at night this is a perfect buffer to prevent irritation! PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser This is my go to cleanser at night. Since I use soo many actives I try and keep a “calming” cleanser. The only downside about this cleanse is the amount you get! PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream I use this every morning now before I apply sunscreen. I like the benefits of matcha and niacinamide! This brand: ✨Vegan ✨Cruelty Free ✨Clean These Products: ✨Safe for all skin types 🚨 The serum and mask from this brand will be on sale at Ulta on the 19th 50% off ! 🚨 Have you tried this brand?
Should you get this cleanser?
I've used this cleanser for more than a week now and although I don't mind it, I don't love it. There are times where it feels fine and other times where it makes my skin slightly tight (like with a hot shower or waiting a little longer to put on other steps in the routine). I have tried other cleansers that always feel gentle regardless the circumstance (reviews on some of them to come). Overall not bad and I'll finish it up, but not a repurchase for me
Next on my list to review....
Here's my latest skin haul awaiting to arrive in the mail. I'll be trying and reviewing to give you my truthful opinion on how these work for me and why I think they are (or are not) a good product. Have you personally tried any of these? Sound off in the comments your thoughts. Give me time to get through each of these products since I'll be trying them out for atleast a week at a time.
Update with the Process...
I'm going to be totally honest😔 I know it has only been a month with Apostrophe (and other recommended products by their derm) but so far I am not liking the outcomes. The first week I started off by putting the prescription on 3 nights a week. My face definitely got irritated the first night which led to my decision on limiting the usage. I started to use the prescription everyday by the 3rd week. Since then I have not felt like I've had any improvements on my acne. I am not giving up just yet, but I do hope to see some improvement at least by March. 🤞 🌼Apostrophe - Topical Formula 🌼CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion 🌼CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin 🌼CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 🌼Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer
A little over 2 months results
I’ve been on 100mg /day of spiralactone. No side effects now. I think I had a bit of dizziness in the beginning but my blood pressure and potassium levels were always fine. I’ve stopped breaking out in cysts and very rarely a Pimple here and there . My face is healing now . I’m just dealing with all the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks now (PIH). I’ve also been using 0.025% clindamycin /clindamycin from apostrophe every night for the past 2 months also. I’ve just gotten 6%hydroquinone cream to add to my regimen . And so I’m hoping that will help out more so with the PIH Spirolactone and the tretinoin/clindamycin had done wonders for my hormonal acne !
A staple in my routine til the end!
Guys. GUYSSSSS. I think I found my favorite product in my skincare routine. *Insert FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate * This stuff is magic in a jar. From a girl with SUPER oily and acne prone skin, I am dumbfounded by the way this stuff soaks right into my skin and keeps me so hydrated. I love the way my skin looks when I wake up now, and I think I owe it to First Aid Beauty! I love mixing it with my tretinoin formula at night, too! It is a very simple and clean ingredient moisturizer that doesn’t have those unnecessary add-ons that a lot of moisturizers have. ALSO I have a hack! I went to Ulta and almost grabbed a big jar of it for $36 (I hadn’t tried it before so I was hesitant to buy a giant jar in case I didn’t like it) I was looking, and I saw a box of 2 minis for $20! Each jar in the mini pack is 2 oz, so that’s 4 oz total vs $36 for 6 oz. They are the biggest “mini” sized jars I’ve personally seen! After using the mini jars for about a week, I have BARELY made a dent, so I’m thinking there’s two jars will last me a very long time. Definitely worth it vs the regular jar, and I get the unscented, and a pomegranate scented one! Run ladies, don’t walk! Now I know why First Aid Beauty is sooooo highly rated! Thanks for reading! 💖
I used the skin ceuticals Vitamin C holy grail
6 months after I started to take better care of my skin. Here’s some pics non filtered of my routine. 1. I purchased the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum the most recommended from dermatologist and was definitely not sure whether to purchase or no because of its price. Thank god I did 🙏 this is really the holy grail. 2. The OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème this eye cream was gifted to me by cousin over a year ago. I love it. It’s absolutely amazing. 3. Last but no least thanks to Cherie for gifting me absolutely the best eye cream ever used Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Highly recommend these products. The most important is being consistent and using them every morning. 😘
Accutane = complete!
I have finished my round of accutane and wanted to share with everyone! The bottom photos is what I look like after applying my skincare that I have below. My skin definitely loves it! I still have some scarring to deal with but I am no longer having any breakouts! My skincare routine: spectro - Jel Cleanser I absolutely love this cleanser. I used this while on Accutane and I did not have any problems with it so this will be my go to cleanser now. dermalogica - Multi-Active Toner I’ve been using this for about a month and my skin is loving this! I spray this on damp skin to really hydrate my skin. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I use this because this is really the only vitamin c serum I have used. If anyone has a recommendation let me know! dermalogica - Stress Positive Eye Lift MaskI haven’t rated this because I just started using this. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion I’ve been using this for months and I actually love this! I also mix a few drops of The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil with it to lock everything in. I finished off with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I actually love this sunscreen!

Kayman Beauty Coalface Cleanser - Review 🖤My Thoughts: I love the clean, minimal, and black packaging. It looks classy. The texture is gel and somehow I feel it does feel like jelly. It is soooo pretty!💖✨ It has no scent just a hint of natural scent, I think. Been using this for almost three months now, and what else can I said except I LOVE IT!♥️😂 It makes my skin feel soft, clean, and fresh without dehydrated my skin nor it made my skin feel tight. It’s a low pH cleanser, which I always prefer now to maintain my skin. And it does make my skin less problematic, less redness, and if I suddenly have pimple, this cleanser reduce the size of the pimple too. Oh did I mention that it also make my skin feel smooth? Yes, it does! I don’t have any complaints about this cleanser. No wonder this cleanser has been the talk of the town and so popular in Malaysia. I am so impressed by this cleanser honestly. 🖤Conclusion: My skin feels soft, clean, smooth, and fresh. Reduce my pimple sizes. This cleanser is 110ml.
It’s been about a week since my last update. I noticed I have less bumps, but nothing drastic. It’s one of those things only ‘you’ can notice. But anyway, I wanted to add the products I have been using regularly for these past few weeks and months for some products. The first slide is what I use in the morning and the second slide is what I use at night. For mornings, I wash my face with the low PH cleanser and use an SPF moisturizer everyday. I’ve been using these products since before I started using Differin. I haven’t had any problems with either of these products. At night I use the Cetaphil normal to oily skin cleanser and then apply Differin all over my face. I wait a few minutes and then apply my CeraVe night cream. I started using these products when I started Differin. I also haven’t had any problems with these products. I wasn’t sure what products to use when I started my Differin journey so hopefully this helps someone navigate their way through so many products out there. BEST anti-stripping hydrating Cleanser 🔥
If you are looking for a gentle, yet effective cleanser that doesn’t leave you super tight, this is it. I once judged the effectiveness of a face wash by how stripped it left me😫. I have learned so much and I have never used a cleanser like this. It has this gelly-like consistency that glides on the skin. I love that it is affordable too! I discovered this gem when I started to get serious with my skin care. Being at in quarantine since March, I decided to take my journey seriously and looking to Korean skin care. This product came highly recommended from James Welsh on YouTube and I have been using it both day and night for the past 5 months. The packaging isn’t just pretty! This products is packed with antioxidants as well as vitamin B5 to keep your skin hydrated, while Hemp seed oil seals in the moisture. It’s so hard for me to try other cleansers now. I always find myself coming back to this one! What’s your favorite cleanser at the moment? #CherieCreator PS. I have oily/combination and acne prone skin ❤️

Purging skin HELP!
First time post here! I recently started taking these HUM - Daily Cleanse Detox Supplement and my skin has immediately started purging. I guess good since I know it’s working but so frustrating because I’m not sure how to soothe my skin right now and need hope that it will get better 😩. Since my skin is already purging, I decided now is a good time to start using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gelto avoid another purging period from that. Has anyone had the same or similar experience with other products? How did you help speed up the purging process or soothe your skin? Here’s my current routine while on these. Trying to keep it simple to not aggravate it even more but would also like to add some things to help specifically with irritation. I am concerned because I think I have fungal acne but can’t figure out how to get rid of it. I am a competitive swimmer so I am in the pool each day but still have really oily skin. I am currently using the cerave foaming facial cleanser for oily to normal skin. Then I go in with sunscreen in the morning or a oil free moisturizer at night. My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
