My skincare products and routine : any thoughts?

Hi loves, so even though I already have a pretty good routine for my skin, I feel like I still have so much to learn and therefore maybe other adjustments to do with my habits to really have a good and effective routine for my skin! Here’s what I usually do : (this is for someone who has combination skin; the t-zone gets oily, other parts tend to be dry and sometimes even sensitive; i never had major acne too so i wouldn’t label myself as “acne-prone skin” type of gal🤷🏻‍♂️) 1) CLEANSE : I wash my face with the acne wash by Benzagel Benzagel - Acne Wash
** If I run out of product : I use another cleanser from Alya alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser
*** After one of the products listed here, I use the cleansing butter from Wishful to remove excess oils/makeup before anything else! HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
2) EXFOLIATE/SCRUB : I exfoliate my skin (1-2 times a week) with Wishful products HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub
3) Tone : I’m still pretty new to the “skincare” world and I never toned my skin up until today so feel free to suggest/recommend me products you tried and/or heard of that were good, that’d be great 👼🏻💓 4) Essence : I use to put some of the serums of L’Occitane en Provence to replace the essence I still don’t have! Then again, feel free to suggest me products you think would work!! Thanks 💓 5) Serum : I ran out of the product itself but usually I was using (like mentioned before) L’Occitane en Provence’s serum and it really felt nice on my skin! L'OCCITANE - Peony Perfecting Essence
5.1) Serum #2 : I can also switch with L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum
6) Moisturize : I’m using Wishful’s product called HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer
and it really feels nice on my skin! 7) Sunscreen : Right after moisturizing my skin, it’s recommended to directly apply sunscreen on top of the moisturizer of Wishful (or HUDA BEAUTY) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60
8) Oil : Even though I had the sample version of the actual thing, I’m currently working with L’Occitane en Provence’s youth oil, which leaves my skin shiny and cute 🥰 L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil
9) Eye cream (or gel): Apparently it’d be nice for me to use some eye cream (based on the analysis that Cherie provides me) but I’m not currently using and not so sure of which products I should/shouldn’t be using! Then again, if you know any good stuff that’d work perfectly with my type of skin, let me know in the comments!! That’s all for me, I know I don’t have the perfect skincare routine but I’m ready to consider any constructive feedback on the thing(s) I could try/do/change to improve it! Thanks, have a good one 💓

audrey_jpgAHAHAH!! They’re here, don’t worry🥺😂 It’s honestly a question of lighting, like I had moments where light was darker and Cherie thought I had like horrible pores so sorry to say that I’m not pores free😩🤷🏻‍♂️(you did make me laugh tho hihi)

Things I actually repurchased this month!
So I love to do product reviews and empties updates, but this time I wanted to actually show what I repurchased this month. I find that consistency has been really good, for my skin especially, lately and sometimes choosing products that you know will work feels like a more worthy purchase as times. So I’m just going to share each of the products and why I love them! None of these products will be a surprise to you all.. cuz I feel like I talk about them all the time but oh well 😬 Benzagel - Acne Wash Benzagel. Take my money. I love this face wash so so much. I owe my clear (well mostly clear) skin to this product. I can’t go a day without it. It’s gentle, but effective at keeping acne away and it’s so affordable. I restock this product pretty regularly at the drugstore. It might be my #1 most repurchased product. BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water It’s my favourite (and I think the best) micellar water. I go through multiple bottles every year. It’s non-irritating, leaves no residue and helps get off any type of mascara. This is a fan favourite for a reason. Plus if you buy the two packs it’s a pretty good price. indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron Moisture Jelly This has been a go-to moisturizer for me ever since the weather for a little bit colder. It’s lightweight, but pretty moisturizing. It has the cutest pump at the top that you press to get the product out. The only downside to this is you don’t get a ton of product for the price point. Mitchum - Advanced Control Solid Anti-Perspirant Deodorant, Pure Fresh Okay, I know it might seem weird to review a deodorant but... I don’t care. It’s effective and lasts all day long. This is really the only deodorant that I use now! The scent is light and fresh but fairly subtle so you’re not overwhelmed by the smell. It does leave white marks if you’re not careful, just a warning. essie - Expressie Quick-Dry Nail Polish This one is a cheat... because I repurchased this but in a new colour! I have been loving the pink shade I have and use it almost every single week. I just love how easy and quick it is. It seriously takes me like 10-15 mins to paint and dry my nails. So now that it’s fall I had to buy this cute dark red colour too. indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment This has become a big go-to lip balm for me. It’s perfect to throw in your purse or pocket. I find it very moisturizing and has saved my chapped lips. It’s perfect for everyday use and I think it’s definitely worth the price. The only con is I love when products are a little more buttery and this feels a little thicker and even a little sticky. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask This mask is so buttery, moisturizing and it just feels luxurious. This little tub lasts forever, I think it’s definitely worth the price point. I use it every night and I wake up with smooth lips. 💋

Hi loves, Back mid-august, I started noticing breakouts on my face and for someone who usually never had major acne, this was a bit shocking. Luckily, I already had my acne wash by Benzagel (Benzagel - Acne Wash ) which really helped cleaning the overall look of my skin 😇 Then, I decided to re-organize my skin care routine by making sure I was following the right steps in the correct order, by the help of Huda and her IGTV video! Side note : the pictures were from august 16th to august 21st 😚🙏 Since Huda also launched her new skincare brand, I bought her products and they worked so well on my face. HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil The lesson I learned throughout this process was to always take care of your skin and keep in mind that it’s not because you wash/clean/moisturize/etc that hormones can’t cause any breakouts. They’re normal and will leave sooner or later :) Hope this helped x 💓👼🏻🧚🏻 #hudabeauty #skincare #acne #breakout #breakouts #hormones #pores #wrinkles #finelines #darkcircles #undereyecircles #blemishes

Morning routine
My Morning routine is all about protection! Protection from the sun and pollution in the air. I have dry skin and it needs a lot of moisture and hydration. No cleansing. I rarely cleanse in the morning mainly because I have dry skin and cleansing in the morning makes it’s feel dry. I always double cleanse at night to get all grime and makeup off. I just splash with warm water and apply my products First step is the OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum this has hyaluronic acid in which is great for absorbing moisture and putting it back into your skin. Vitamin C is great for the morning but you must use SPF as it makes your skin sensitive to sunlight but when you use SPF with vitamin c they work together to fight off free radicals. Next is a prescription eczema cream now if you don’t have eczema feel free to skip this step. This cream is specifically for this face as it doesn’t have steroids in it and I put it on my eyes and around my mouth when I have flare ups. Next is the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Triple Remedy A.M. Gel Cream very basic eye cream that helps hydrate your skin and just locks moisture in. Don’t have to use an eye cream but it’s always nice to have Then I apply FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration this is a basic moisturiser that hydrates the skin. It has ceramides and antioxidants that help repair and nourish the skin barrier. It is fairly light weight but very moisturising. The most important step and then final one LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 sunscreen is a must ! And this one is amazing for sensitive skin and is very light weight. You must always wear sunscreen during the day. Because the sun is the number one cause of wrinkles and it protects you from more nasty things as well.

SPF myth
Myth: the higher the SPF, the more protected you are from UV rays. Truth: the truth is, theres not much difference between SPF 30 and 50 in terms of how much percentage of sun rays are blocked. I believe the you grt arohnd 97% coverage with an SPF30 and 98% with an SPF50. Realistically, you’re ok with an SPF30 or 40, and just make sure you’re reapplying every two hours or as directed. This has been a myth I grew up with and went into my teens with. I even saw an SPF100 one time. I was surprised when I was told to still be careful because SPF100 did NOT mean i was 100% covered and protected, which is a big part of why brands are no longer labelling or marketing for an SPF higher than 60; nowadays, thats the highest you’ll find on the shelf. I learned that in the recent years when I became more passionate and savvy about skincare, and now I use my favourite sunscreen by Vivier cosmetics, an SPF of 45 and its working great for me. I especially love the texture and feel on my oily skin. These stats are for UVB rays, UVA rays are different and are blocked out in different numbers, but thats a story for another post. For now, have fun with your SPF 30+!

My Favorite Cleanser
Do you ever feel like your cleanser just isn’t taking off all of your makeup? Try Huda Beuaty’s new skincare line, Wishful Skin 💛 The Clean Genie Cleansing Butter is packed with green tea extract 🍵 cherry blossom extract 🍒 & malachite stone! What I also love about this balm is that it is a “clean” beauty item, so you can rest assured knowing that you aren’t putting any harsh chemicals on your skin! What I also really love about this is that it is a butter, not a balm meaning that it is so much easier to pick up & apply to your face. I really like the fact that when I apply it, it always feels so silky, smooth. As opposed, when I use a cleansing balm, some parts of it can break apart & can go all over the place. Has that ever happened to you too? You don’t need to use a lot with this product as a little goes a long way! I use this as my first step in removing my makeup & typically go in with a toner after this as it does such a good job as getting everything off & I find myself not needing to double cleanse! The product is available in Sephora stores as well as online & I would definitely say if you’re looking for a new cleanser, look no more! I hope this helps you angels out! If you have any questions about this product, let me know below!!

I tried the insta-famous brand - Alya Skin!
Hi all!! During COVID I have bought so many skincare products and have found what really works for my skin and what hasn’t. During a sale, I picked up the Micellar Cleanser and Pink Clay Mask which I am really excited to share my thoughts on the famous social media brand which all influencers love. Let’s start with the cleanser! 🌸🌸🌸 alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser How does the cleanser feel on the skin? I personally found that the cleanser struggled to foam up due to the fact it was incredibly dry on my skin! I tried wetting my face prior, adding in water during cleansing and none of it changed the fact it was so dry on my face. It actually felt like the dessert! I feel as though I had to use so much to even get it all over my face. I just wish it was a little bit more hydrating and I would really enjoy it! Removal of makeup? It did take off my makeup quite effectively, due to it being a micellar cleanser I would definitely expect it to take off the makeup! I used this in the night time prior to my second cleanser and I enjoyed it. My skin did feel super fresh and clean. Although the Alya cleanser was drying, my second cleanser really saved it and added the hydration back into my face! Suited skin type? I believe combination-oily skin types could really love it! I have normal-dry skin (mostly on the dry side) and find it just doesn’t work for unfortunately. However my sister with combination skin does really love it! Now onto the mask alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask which I am really excited to speak about! What does the mask feel like on? The mask goes on nice and smoothly to get an all over even layer but definitely dries down and can become flakey and you talk and move around. This clay mask really feels as though it cleans out your pores and dirt out of your skin due to how dry it dries down! You can see the outlines on your pores as it dries! I feel it really gets the gunk out of your skin! What results did you see? I have been using this mask since around May and I do really like it. I like how bright and refreshed my skin feels after this mask. I use it about once a fortnight and I have seen great results with the appearance of my pores and blackheads. I feel as though it dries out my acne if I have any, making them heal quicker! Any dislikes? I absolutely hate the fragrance in it! I don’t really think it’s needed but I think a lot of people buy it because of how pink it is and the smell which just isn’t necessary. I personally don’t suffer irritation from fragrance but I really hated this fragrance and it’s really not nesscesary, why not make a product everyone can enjoy? I also am not interested in how high this price is. I don’t think I would repurchase due to the price, fragrance and I believe the brand fakes their reviews as I have done my research thoroughly. I do like it but I have others I prefer. Thank you so much for reading! Feel free to leave any Q’s! 😊

Can Alya Skin fix my crusty face?
After months of seeing adverts on all of my social media (and being blessed by the skincare gods with a 30% off sale), I have finally gotten my grubby lil goblin hands on the alya skin. - Complete Skincare Bundle After a night of no sleep, menstrual cramps and existential crisis (thanks PCOS 🙄) I decided to have a shower and treat myself to a little DIY spa time. My skin troubles of the day were gross hormonal acne with a hint of red, dry and sad looking skin. First impressions on these products: in love with the look! super cute packaging (I really like the colour pink so IMMEDIATE gold star there), simplistic and clean style, clear instructions on the back makes for a happy skincare newbie like myself. alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser was fun to try out! Two pumps were more than enough to cover my damp face with, massaging in circular motion for maximum cleansing and freshness. However, my one comment was more about the scent. I had no idea if I was delusional from menstrual cramps, but it almost smelled savoury to me. Smell aside however, I was happy with the result of a nice, clean face. alya skin. - Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator made my skin feel as soft as a baby’s bottom. I’d advise to be gentle with it however, I’m a rough exfoliator myself and the size of the pebbles were too big to go to town on. Still a good product though! alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask was an experience for me, since I have never used a clay face mask before. Getting it on was a little tricky since it was a thiccc paste, I had to dive into the pot many times to coat my face. The 15 minute wait wasn’t bad, but taking off said mask was tougher than I thought. Still, a fun experience overall and I can’t wait for next time :) And finally, alya skin. - Australian Native Berries Moisturiser soaks up super well, does leave your face a little bit oily (not enough to feel gross and slick, but enough to remind yourself “oh yeah, I moisturised~”). After all of the cleansing, scrubbing and masking, this allowed my face to relax, rehydrate and recover. After all is said and done, from red and dry to plump and bright, I am pleasantly surprised at how much my skin improved in an hour! Overall, is it worth $150 (AUS) for the Complete Skincare Bundle? Unless you do already spend that amount on your regular skincare and knowing these products will work for you, I’d suggest waiting for the Complete Skincare Bundle to go on sale so you can get a bit of everything to try out (I bought mine for 73 dollars, we love a good sale 🥰) but overall, I’d say it’s worth it! I don’t know for sure if I would buy again as of right now, I am hoping on doing another review after a month of use to see if it is right for me. Thank you for reading! Have a lovely day, drink plenty of water and tell someone you love them 💖 (Bonus photo at the end because why not 🤪)

Wishful Honey Balm first impression 🍯💜
Just received the new Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer from Wishful and I always apply new products to my arm or hand first to test how thick or greasy the formula is. Here are the claims: added turmeric to help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation niacinamide to visibly reduce appearance of pores and brighten the complexion boost radiance and luminosity hydrate soothes the skin and creates a soft-focus effect with crushed lavender mica pearls. Here are my thoughts: I immediately noticed the consistency reminded me of the tatcha water cream and I loved it! However, once I blended it into the skin I was left with a light greasy feel and I do not like that. I prefer more water based products as things like this can easily clog up your pores. I love the addition of niacinamide, honey and turmeric as those are powerhouses for the skin but the consistency of the product throws me off due to the lavender oil leaving that greasy feel. I’ll be trying it out for a few weeks to test it out and see what happens but I’m still hesitant based of my first swipe on my hand. They included a brush but I’m not seeing anything in regards to the importance of it so honestly seems more like a gimmick. Follow me on Instagram as I usually dive into details on my stories about the products I receive. :) HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer

Resurfacing and Resurrecting
Ominous title but that’s just how I’m feeling... lol. I just received the much raved about DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serumand quite frankly... I’m shocked how tiny it is given it was $90.00! I don’t know what o was expecting but my goodness this better resurface my skin so well that it’s as smooth as a baby’s bottom! No but seriously, I have pretty bad #maskne given I’m a registered nurse and have raging hormones (and crippling anxiety). So I’m hoping this makes my skincare dreams come true. Side note: now that I’m starting a gycolic facial serum and still am using my salicylic acid pads, I figured I’d reintroduce and resurrect one of my most trusty and hydrating companions: L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil This oil is my absolute favorite oil and has made my skin looking supple, hydrated, and calm just with occasional use. Because this too is expensive, I use it very sparingly! A little goes a long way! Amazing for dry and acne prone skin due to it being noncomedogenic and very lightly fragranced. Love L’Occitane products (I totally used to work for them!) Have any of you had amazing success with the glycolic serum from Drunk Elephant? Any major pros or cons? Share your insights!

My Serum Awards
Revive Anti-Aging Serum It is like an iron to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and even remove them. Within the first week of using I noticed a slight difference in tone, texture and overall appearance in my skin. The second week I saw a slight reduction in my fine lines. After a month of using the anti-aging serum, I could clearly see the change of my skin to be less sagging. The product seems to have a cumulative effect that gets better with time and continues using. It is really helpful with facial retightening, collagen regeneration and desired facial contour creation. This is why I gave it the best serum for anti-aging. L’OCCITANE Immortelle Reset Serum It is an overnight reset oil-in-serum. After using it, my skin felt so hydrated immediately. It glides on smoothly, absorbs quickly and is non-greasy. I had a hard time with extreme combination skin, very oily T-zone with flaky dry cheek. It solved both problems for me and helped my skin retain moisture when used diligently. It works to moisturize without clogging my pores deeply. So, I gave this serum the award for dryness. La Mer The Concentrate This is my favorite serum because it clams my skin! I have had terrible acne for over two years and have scars from that entire time. This serum soothes my skin and controls breakouts while reducing my acne scars (both pigmentation scars and pitted scarring). Even though I purchased to focus on acne issues, it has also helped with my redness and the patches of dermatitis I got in summer and reduced the lines around my eyes. Hence, I gave this miracle product the best healing serum award.

Today I wanted to talk to you guys about these 2 products from 2 of my very favorite brands, loccitane and fresh. Both of these are gorgeously packaged in a very similar midnight blue color, which makes them easy to feature in the same post, and I’ve been using them together for a few weeks now so I thought I’d review them together! Let’s talk 🌌 💛 Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum - a delicate oil-in-serum formula that was created to help skin recover overnight from the stressors of daily life which plague our skin! With extended use of this serum, the skin is supposed to appear more youthful and more rested. The key ingredient in here: the Immortelle flower, which is known as the everlasting flower that never fades, even after being picked. It carries an organic essential oil rich in active molecules that offer unique anti-again benefits for the skin. 💙 Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream - as its name suggests, it is a veritable dream indeed. This night cream is the newest addition to freshbeauty’s Lotus Youth Preserve line, and it is such a gem. Super Lotus harnesses the multi-benefit properties of the whole living lotus plant and houses them in one power ingredient that helps to deliver antioxidant protection for the skin, prevent and minimize aging signs, strengthen the skin’s barrier and significantly improve radiance, all the while deeply hydrating. Peach leaf extract is there to help the skin recover from daily activities overnight, not to mention make this night cream smell like a fruit basket! 🍑 🧡 💛💙 How do I feel about this duo? The smell of these guys, first of all, is nothing short of heavenly - smell gets me SO much when it comes to beauty products, and these do not disappoint. What’s also amazing is that these sink into the skin SO fast. Both the serum and cream are very light but they still provide a ton of hydration, so I know they’ll be great during the summer too. When I wake up in the morning I wake up to glowing, hydrated, even-toned and happy skin. This has become such a favorite night routine of mine and I’ll be repurchasing forever 💫

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. These are all types of exfoliators, Physical - Scrubs, Peeling gels Chemical - Facial AHA, BHA masks, solutions, in shower facials These are the ones I don't find so attractive for the price: Scrubs: 1. @avantskincare Gentle Rose beautifying facial exfoliant 114$avant - Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant The ones I like: Scrubs: 1. @skinandco Face gommage 26$SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Gommage Peeling gels: 1. @wishfulskin Yo Glow enzyme scurb 39$HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 2. @saturdayskin Rub-a-dub Refining peel gel 28$SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel Instant Facial masks/solutions: 1. @theordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 7.20$The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. @olehenriksen PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask 50$OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Mask 3. @aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser

🚨DUPE ALERT🚨
Having a good scrub is essential to any skincare routine. But you don’t have to break the bank to get a scrub with great ingredients. The HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub is a great scrub for the face and has good ingredients. But the CLARISMA - Malibu Blush Exfoliating Scrub is actually a better ingredient list AND costs not even 1/4 of the price!! CRAZY!😱 The Clarisma scrub has similar enzyme exfoliating properties as the Huda Beauty one, but Clarisma is also jam packed with hydrating oils that will fight aging and enhance collagen production while smoothing fine lines.😍😋 For the price and ingredients, Clarisma can’t be beat!!💸🍍

Curology Review
Curology Review
Curology - The Cleanser It’s not clear if this product is for oily or dry skin. It seems to be for dry skin and I have oily skin. It seems to be a bit thicker than the Cerave Hydrading Cleanser. I have fungal acne and I ran this product through Sezia and it has products that wont help my fungal acne. Curology - Curology formulaIt’s too early to tell if my personal formula is working. My formula is Niacinamide 4%, Clindamycin 1%, and Zinc Pyrithione .25%. I have used Zinc Pyrithione before at 1% so I don’t know if this will help. Curology - The Moisturizer This moisturizer is very light weight which is good for my oil skin, but has ingredients that are bad for fungal acne. The acne body wash has Tea Tree Oil and I’m not sure how to feel about it. Since it’s a wash off treatment and meant for the body the fragrance isn’t too bad but I don’t like the smell. Overall: I wouldn’t recommend the moisture for oily skin. I’ll wait and see if I see any results before looking at my personal formula.

Simplify your AM routine!!
Simplify your AM routine!!
I loooove skin care and find new products but when I sat down with a dermatologist in October and she asked I close my medicine cabinet full of (expensive) products and majorly simplify my routine. I reluctantly said I would try this and it’s been great for my skin, my wallet and getting out the door in the AM. The cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash for Oily Skin is gentle on skin and leaves you feeling squeaky clean. Next I use 2 prescribed topical creams to help with acne and hyperpigmentation. Highly recommend working with a derm and being sure to have regular follow ups. TRUST the process! Then I use LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 which is hydrating and lightweight! It provides so much moisture and top with a sunscreen. I was recommended LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Face Sunscreen for Combination Skin SPF 60 This sunscreen goes on invisible and blends in well leaving no white cast but it is a chemical sunscreen. I found at times that this sunscreen would pill. Sunscreen is very important especially with one of my main skin concerns being hyperpigmentation/ dark spots.

Please help!!!
Please help!!!
Hi! After over a year of my skin thriving, it started to struggle recently (I haven’t left the house in a while and probably haven’t been drinking enough water). I thought it might be because of my moisture barrier and after doing some research I got CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion to help repair it. I have super sensitive skin and a lot of products burn or cause me to break out but I heard CeraVe was great for sensitive skin. I’ve been using this product for a few days now and it burns my skin and causes redness and irritation every time I put it on. And I’ve gotten some little bumps on my face since starting it. Does anybody know why? It also doesn’t feel moisturizing even though my skin isn’t super dry to begin with. I want to learn more about my sensitive skin but I cannot seem to find a pattern in products that work and don’t. My main skin concerns are sensitivity, redness, and large pores. I’m hoping you guys can help and recommend products. Thanks in advance! Btw the third picture is from before I started this product (no face makeup on). Products that have worked: Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser Eucerin - Redness Relief, Dermatological Skincare, Night Creme (I’ve been using this for years but it started burning slightly the last couple week so I decided to try something else) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum LA ROCHE-POSAY - Serozinc Face Mist Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water (and every other micellar water I’ve tried, I use this to cleanse in the mornings instead of washing my face) Products that surprisingly didn’t work: Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser (this product burned my skin and dried me out more than the clear complexions one, causing my skin to flake for the first time ever) GARNIER - SkinActive The Gentle Sulfate-Free Cleanser (burned my skin but less than other products have) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (broke out my skin really badly - I tried to wait it out to see if it was just purging but it didn’t get better. It didn’t burn though) elta md SKINCARE - UV Shield Full-Body Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 45 (works on my body but I saw reviews that said it works for sensitive faces too... but it made me break out on my face) belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb (burned my skin) Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash (burned my skin a bit but didn’t cause breakout or excessive dryness)

MYTH: just wash your face
MYTH: just wash your face
“just wash your face! just drink some water!” we’ve all heard it and seen it - advice that doesn’t help. But honestly, just washing your face IS NOT ENOUGH to treat acne, scarring, dry skin, or whatever problem you have. Washing your face for 30-60 seconds twice a day doesn’t give your skin enough time with active ingredients. you have to treat your issues, not just slap some soap on your face for a few seconds. Hopefully this isn’t news to you! everyone’s skin is different and there is no perfect answer or perfect product that is going to solve ALL your problems. Custom stuff like Curology - Curology formulacan help, but you can’t one step skincare. every basic routine has (and this is for oily skin like me, but same concept for all) 1) cleanser TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser 2) treatment REVOLUTION - Targeted Blemish Serum 2% Salicylic Acid 3) moisturizer dermalogica - Clear Start Oil Clearing Matte Moisturizer SPF 15 4) protection Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 One product can make a huge difference but its not going to fulfill ALL of your skin’s needs!

Skincare Overhaul!
Skincare Overhaul!
Hello skin care junkies! My name is Rosie and my skin needs more than a bit of help. Above is my most recent Skin Journey picture. My skin has always been sensitive, and my face is combo (oily cheeks, dryish everywhere else). Currently, my morning routine is rinse with lukewarm water, moisturize with BURT’S BEES - Daily Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin, and then use CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide. Nighttime routine is wash with CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinand then apply CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. This has helped my acne somewhat (am still working on not touching my face when stressed), but it’s skill there and so is my hyperpigmentation/acne scars. Furthermore, I’ve noticed that I frequently get razor burn/strawberry skin on my legs when I shave, and I do not know how to fix this. Please leave any comments for what you think may be helpful, I appreciate it all.

HOLY GRAILS FOR OILY/ACNE-PRONE SKIN
HOLY GRAILS FOR OILY/ACNE-PRONE SKIN
First things first - FOLLOW ME 🤍🤍 For years I had been using the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. It was the only moisturiser that didn’t break me out. I had tried pretty much every moisturiser that was marketed towards oily and acne-prone skin and none of them worked. The Clinique moisturiser was good at being a basic moisturiser, but it didn’t benefit my skin whatsoever. After hearing all the hype about Cerave, of course I had to try. Containing hylaluronic acid, niacinimide and cermamides (just time name a few great ingredients), this has really helped my skin. Used in conjunction with my serums, my face is clearer, more hydrated and acne spots are slowly fading. The AM moisturiser is particularly a saviour for me as I hate the feeling of sunscreen on my face and fear it causing breakouts. Having SPF 30 incorporated is seriously amazing. The texture is lightweight and I don’t need to apply sunscreen on top, which prevents from clogging my pores! Pic from CeraVe
