My Must Have Complexion Tools
🤎 This one is easy for me because I just packed up all my makeup products for a cross country move and these are the two I left out for daily use. I love them, I need them, I use them all the time. 🤎 Morphe M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush: I’ll be the first to say I do not like Morphe as a brand. They are sketchy, their products are often horrible quality and overpriced, they destroyed any trust that ever existed between influencers and their audience, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love this brush. This has been my go to foundation brush for probably four years. I’ve owned a slew of other foundation brushes including much pricier ones, but this one continues to be the one I reach for the most. The bristles are tightly packed (but not so tightly packed that it blends my makeup away), the handle is the perfect size, and this blends my foundation in seconds. It’s great for smoothing full coverage, thicker foundations or for cream bronzers and blushes. I also use it for lighter coverage foundations and tinted sunscreens and moisturizers. Really just any cream or liquid complexion product this is my go to. 🤎 La Mer Powder Brush: If you were watching beauty YouTube in 2017 you’ve probably heard of this one. I remember seeing it in a Jaclyn Hill video and lusting after it for literal years and then seeing it in a Mel Thompson video and finally pulling the trigger. If the Morphe M439 is my go to for liquids and creams, this is my go to for powders. My favorite use for this is buffing a slightly luminous powder into the skin at the end of my complexion routine. This just gives a little glow, a little bit of an airbrushed finish, and ties everything together seamlessly. That being said I also use this for powder foundation (using the same buffing motion) and even bronzer. It’s soft and pleasant to use and just gives me the most seamless application and airbrushed finish. I absolutely love this brush.

Use this to make a perfect ending to your makeup😍
Choosing a right setting powder brush is not easy, but is probably the most important step to achieving a professional and lasting makeup. The quality of your powder brush can make or break your makeup look. With all of the different options out there, what kind of powder brush you should take home? The perfect powder brush should have enough surface area and density to apply powder foundation without leaving behind a cakey residue, and also be flexible enough to dust on some blush and bronzer in a pinch. Then I have to say,MAKE UP FOR EVER - 124 Powder Kabuki Brush is a good choice and can meet the above requirements. I bought one as my friend strongly recommended to me. Now it’s my turn to give a review of it. First, it's super fluffy and full, the brush is of good quality that it can actually pick up and hold the powder and distribute it evenly, effortlessly to your face, cover a large surface area in seconds and doesn't cake on my makeup. It’s also dense enough to apply my foundation lightly. Second, this is a extremely soft brush. The bristles are very gentle on skin, which is really important for me since I have sensitive skin. Even when you pressed with force into the skin, it did not cause any discomfort. Three, it’s in great look and small enough, which is perfect and convenient for girls who are usually on the go, since it can easily fit in the small makeup bag or even purse. I bought it for over one year, and it has also held up for so long, even with being washed regularly. There isn’t any experiencing bristles breaking and falling out of the brush. Although it’s a little pricy(about 50 dollars) , it really works and lasts! Thanks my friend!

Do You Need a Setting Powder Brush? YES!
It is summer where I am at and ensuring the day make-up stays on all day can be a feat. Thanks to setting powder, my make-up can stay intact all day, combating against humidity and natural oils. The travel-friendly e.l.f. Retractable Kabuki Brush is a great brush that I wil recommend to anyone who is looking to use as a setting powder brush. The price is great – at USD6! I also like that the brand is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. The soft nylon bristles make it easy to apply and blend product flawlessly for coverage, especially with its rounded shape. While I don’t fancy the feel of the plastic retractable head and handle, the retractable function makes it easy for a more controlled use and mess-free storage, especially in our purses when we bring it out. Some brushes can pick up too much powder in one go, which can be wasteful and annoying. This kabuki brush picks up just the right amount of powder. With a gentle tap, it dusts away excess powder and leave an appropriate amount for dusting all over the face. I also multi-use this brush for my blush and bronzer. For the low price of USD6, this kabuki brush is a wonderful entry-level brush to have, especially in small purses for quick touch-ups outside.
My fav prep duo, definitely help to create flawless skin!
Today I wanna introduce my favourite duo for setting my foundation. I would never skip this step no matter how lazy I get in doing my makeup, especially summer. Otherwise the consequence for my combo-oily skin would be a totally ruined foundation after about 3-4 hours. I’ve tried some different products and here’s my favourite duo I would like to share with you. What are they? Translucent Loose Setting Powder from Laura Mercier and 204 Buffing from Real Techniques How much does it cost and where to buy? My setting powder is in the mini size ($23), available at Sephora and Ulta. And the Buffing brush is the one I got in this brand’s flawless base set ($19.9). I’ve done a full review of this set and you are welcome to check it out in another post. Real Techniques is on sale at the website of Amazon, Ulta, Target, etc. Pretty easy to find it out. How does it work? You just sift some powder out of the jar and put it on the lid. Make sure you do not pour too much out. Then use the brush to grab the powder: you just dip the brush in there and every single grain just gets on the bristles. You should make the powder spread more evenly by slightly shaking the brush before applying it to your face to set! Is it worth it? Worth every penny of it! This combo make my makeup look flawless. I have really used many high end brand setting powders and this is a game changer. They really get to set everything in place and give a clean matte look which help get your foundation last all day long. A little goes a long way so it will last you quite a while. What else you need to now? As you can see, I’ve got this mini version of setting powder so it’s easier for me to take it whenever I travel. But if you want a better deal, the larger, the better. There are also some different shades made for different skin tones. You could try them out and get your dreamy setting powder!

The Ultimate Brush Sets that Everyone Needs
If you apply makeup then you must own some brushes or you may wonder which brushes to get. The brush set that I am excited to be talking about in this article solves your problem by supplying you with a variety of brushes that can help you achieve basic makeup needs. I used to apply everything with a finger as much as possible, but ever since I started using brushes, I have realised that there is no replacement. The difference between application with finger and brush too big to ignore. The finish was much more even and smoother so I highly urge anyone that is using their fingers to apply makeup to give brushes a try. Lavish Beauty Basics Brush Set: I was attracted by its packaging at first. The gold flakes design makes everything feel more luxurious and the brush variety and price ($28) seems just right for me. At the time, I was looking for a set to start with. Other brush sets were either too basic, too expensive or too complicated, which makes me question whether I actually need all those or what are each brush for. In this particular set, there are 4 brushes including a foundation brush, powder brush, eyeshadow brush and lip brush. I actually use the foundation brush as a highlighter brush because of its precise and flat tip. All the brushes have soft, synthetic bristles. I mostly use the powder brush as a blush brush because I find the brush size a little bit too small to cover my entire face. It creates a flawless finish with an all over application of blush. It’s soft synthetic bristles pick up the ideal amount of loose powder and create an airbrushed complexion. The eyeshadow brush has a rounded and tapered shape bristles that easily pick up just the right amount of pigment for all over eyeshadow application. My favourite brush out of the whole set. Lastly, I use the lip brush as an eyeliner brush. Although it states that it’s squared shaped bristles allow for precise and controlled lip colour application along the lip line, I find it more useful to use it as an eyeliner brush because of its shape. I absolutely love this brush set, and have been using every single brush each time I do makeup. It is definable worth it and perfect for beginners looking for some place to begin. A set does the search for you so that there is no need to hunt for individual brushes.
FLAWLESS TOOLS = FLAWLESS FACE👄
When it comes to the best kind of makeup, you want to ensure you know how to do your skin makeup right and for years I have tested many tricks and tools and perfected my technique to ensure I was able to master my skin makeup each time👍🏽 These are two of my favourite tools for two to use when creating a flawless base for the rest of the work!😊 Let’s start with this amazing sponge that is $2 from shopmissa AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender this is legit softer & cheaper than the OG beautyblender (and yes, I’ve tried both) and this has to be my ALL TIME FAV! I stock up on these because they are sooo cheap and I make sure to dampen mine (duh) and then bounce the foundation all over my skin! Every time I use this for my foundation, I instantly have a beautiful blended canvas to work off of! 😍 not only foundation but this is also perfect for my concealer! One tip I would give for concealer is letting it sit and dry a little and then going in with your damp sponge! This helps in the longevity and the coverage of the product! Plus applying powder to set the face with your damp sponge also keeps your makeup in place all day but also gives the most flawless airbrushed look ever🤩😛 The next tool is newer in my collection but I already love it and it’s the BATTINGTON - Powder and Contour Brush Set which is sooo beautiful but also the brush itself is super soft and fluffy and yes it’s a powder brush but it a slightly tapered so I really love it for my blush! It’s blends out the blush really well and picks up just enough due to the size of the brush! Honestly you really can’t go wrong with either tool because when you are doing your makeup, your face makeup needs to be on point so make sure you have the skills but also the best tools as well❤️👏🏽 #cheriepartner

Similar to the La Mer powder brush! But Only $60😱
SEPHORA COLLECTION - PRO Featherweight Powder Brush #91 I got this powder brush when Sephora was on sale. (touch it several times when I pass by Sephora, it’s so fluffy! Like a bunny tail) It’s good, but it reminds me that you don’t need such an expensive brush to apply loose powder, it may make no difference. I mean, if you are using a high end loose powder, it should work good with any brush, and if you are using a drugstore loose powder, You can buy any cost-effective brush. I have oily skin which means that I must use a large powder for my daily makeup. And I love how huge and fluffy this brush is! It’s so incredibly soft, legitimately feels like clouds brushing on my skin. (although its material is Synthetic Fibre) And it’s easy to take the powder. It's definitely worth buying. It’s excellent for taking powder or loose powder. If you're in the market for a powder brush look no further. This brush is fluffy on skin so well made and super soft to the touch. It's very large which makes it unique to my collection and perfect for quick powder application. I wouldn't recommend this for blush or bronzer as it's too large for targeted placement - the # 90 brush is a smaller version of this and would be much more practical for bronzer or blush. I purchased this brush over 2 months ago and after many uses and washes it's still in perfect condition. It's very similar to the La Mer powder brush but for a fraction of the price. Usage * Load the brush with powder then apply to your T-zone in wide circular motions. * Sweep outwards from the center of the face down to the neck. In addition, the brush comes with a sweeping cover (a container) to prevent it from being covered by dust. I must say the bush has a really long handle and it doesn’t fit in my brush holder. However, I love the long handle which is making it easy to hold and use. And very fluffy and soft on my skin, it doesn't hurt your face at all! You only need hold just the right amount of products. I love the long handle which is making it easy to hold and use. Even if you don’t buy it, pls just go to Sephora to touch it! Tender and soft as feather. And the long handle is convenient for use. Hope Sephora isn't discontinuing it because it's an amazing brush. I would recommend it to all.
