I got this idea from...ESTHETICIAN SCHOOL
✨ I learned about peels in esthetician school about the same time I started noticing some hyperpigmentation on my nose. Since I’m going to be licensed to do these on other people in a couple months I figured why not do one on myself. ✨ TCA is great for scarring, pigmentation, and stimulating collagen production. It basically addresses all of my skincare concerns. ✨ To apply the peel, you prep the face with an acidic cleanser and rubbing alcohol. You then damp a gauze pad apply to the face, wait five minutes, then apply another layer and so on. Don’t apply any more than five layers and stop when you see “frosting” or whitening of the skin then neutralize by rinsing with water. Also WEAR GLOVES. I didn’t wear gloves and my right hand has been shedding skin like nobody’s business. ✨ The actually peel application isn’t uncomfortable at all (but I’m definitely not sensitive skinned so everyone will be different) the worst part for me was the next two days where my face just felt like a tight, shiny burn. On days 3-5 the skin peeled away and I have to say my face is GLOWING and the hyperpigmentation on my nose already looks better. ✨Platinum Skin also provides comprehensive step by step instructions, videos, and a manual. If you are considering doing an at home peel I strongly recommend looking into them.
SAY LESS 🤤🤤🤤 THE BEST PEEL PADS!!
First things first - FOLLOW ME 💛💛💛 It means the world!! NIP+FAB - Glycolic Fix Extreme Night Pads The best peel pass ever! And one of the cheapest!! I’m currently using this as my twice-weekly chemical exfoliant. It’s the perfect strength to be effective but not irritate the skin. Key ingredients (BRACE YOURSELF!) 5% Glycolic acid - gently exfoliates the skin and helps fade discolouration on the face. Salicylic acid - penetrates into and unclogs pores helping to combat blackheads. Lactic acid - removes dead cells and toxins from the skin for a smoother and more even toned surface. Hyaluronic acid - improves skin hydration and keeps skin feeling soft and plump. Niacinamide - Helps improve skin texture, regulate sebum production, fade dark spots and minimise pores. Mandelic acid - A gentle exfoliating acid to help dissolve dead skin cells. Panthenol - Panthenol is used in skincare products as a humectant because of its ability to attract and hold moisture. Pretty damn amazing if you ask me!!

The BEST skincare product ever! AHA peel!
Hi all! I’m so late to join this trend but I have found a holy grail! For the past two months I have been using The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which I have fallen in love with and I’d love to share! What is the AHA peel? This product is a 10 minute exfoliating facial that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) which exfoliates the top layer of skin to brighten the skin and give you a more youthful, glowy look. It’s a very deep exfoliation method which also gets the gunks from your acne and pores cleaned out. This product is red and also looks like you put blood on your face! Did I see results? As this product is quite overhyped I was unsure whether it truly was a great product and not just a tik tok trend. 100% this is a legitimate mask! I saw dark spots that I have had for many months and just take so long to go away, I truly saw after 2 uses of the mask I saw very significant brightening which I was so suprised about. My pores were less apparent and there was less congestion all over my face. It definitely is my holy grail and will stay there. I have never seen results so quickly from a single product. Side effects? As this is a very potent and intense product you may notice some irritation if you have very sensitive skin which you should stop straight away if it is painful - you will experience some tingling but it never should be painful. Also NEVER leave it on for more than 10 minutes otherwise you will damage your skin. Always wear a sunscreen as the skin on your face will be more prone and sensitive to the sun! How often and when should I use it? I recommend using it once a week maximum due to being such a strong product, I feel as though using it more than once a week will damage your skin significantly due to the formula. Using it every Sunday night is what I do, I prefer doing it at night rather than in the daylight due to the products sensitivity to the sun! Even if you do it at 4pm, please ensure you put sunscreen on to avoid severe irritation. How to apply it? I would say applying it about 10 minutes after you’ve washed your face - free from dirt, oil and makeup. This will allow the product to penetrate deeply into your skin which means better results for you! Just a thin amount will be fine there is no need to do a thick layer with this product as it’s not a clay mask. Please comment if you have tried it/or going to try it! I would love to answer questions if you are hesitant about purchasing. Thanks for reading! :)
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
I’ve been using Herbivores products for over a week now and my skin is not in great condition, I’m back to getting hormonal breakouts, which I didn’t get while using just Drunk Elephant products. I realise it’s a short time that I’ve been using Herbivore so it’s to early to be posting any reviews on there products, because I haven’t given them a fair try. I will continue using Herbivore to ensure I’m giving the products a fair try but I’m not impressed atm, pictured is the prism exfoliating glow potion, I’ve been using this am and pm as my exfoliator, it’s mild so I’m also using it with the moon fruit each night (an exfoliating overnight cream from the Herbivore line) for those of you that are concerned about over exfoliating I messaged herbivore about doing this and there reply was ‘some people can use prism and moon fruit together, but it really depends on your skin’ which to me is a clue that as far as exfoliator’s go this on its own doesn’t have much of a kick, unless your skin is a virgin to acid exfoliating. Something else that’s worth noting is the packaging, beautiful isn’t it? Spacenk describes it as ‘ultra instagrammable’ these instagrammable glass jars expose the contents to light which will degrade the antioxidants contained within, this won’t be to much of a problem if you keep the products in a cabinet / draw and out of direct sunlight.

My experience with the VI Peel! DAY 1 🧖♀️
Today I went to a med spa and had a VI Peel done for my 1st time, and I wanted to document my experience for anyone considering doing a VI Peel for pigmentation, acne, and acne scars! Today I am just going to explain my experience having the peel applied and answer any questions one may have! These are some answers from the nurse that helped me! What is a VI Peel? A VI Peel is a medical grade chemical peel consisting of TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, ascorbic acid, and minerals! What does a VI Peel treat? It treats a multitude of concerns including acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkles! How much did you pay? I paid $250 for mine at a med spa in Orange County, CA. They’re doing a July special, but it usually costs $300 per peel. Did it hurt? It definitely didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would! It was just a little uncomfortable and made my face feel hot. If anything, the smell is the worst part! How long does it take to show results? It usually takes about a week to show results. Within 3-6 days, my skin will start to peel! How many peels do you need to show results? For me, the nurse said it should only require 2-3 peels for desired results! It could require even 6 peels depending on your skin concerns such as deep pitted scarring. A professional can more accurately determine how many peels you’ll need based on your skin and concerns. What is the aftercare like? The 1st picture of this post shows what was given to me by the nurse! I was given a gentle cleanser to use for the week, SPF 50, an anti itch cream/moisturizer, and 3 towelettes to use for the first couple of days. I’m not supposed to use any harsh products for a week. After a week, I can start to slowly incorporate more products back in if they don’t irritate my skin. In a week, I’ll make another post that shows better pictures from before and after my peel to see the improvement after 1 peel. Note, I am not a professional or claiming to be one. These answers are based on both research and answers from the aesthetic nurse who performed the peel on me. I hope this is helpful for anyone considering getting a chemical peel done!
I love this PETER THOMAS ROTH - AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel it’s great all over your skin overnight or as just a spot treatment even during the day. It doesn’t sting and doesn’t dry out your skin, it’s perfect for everyday use. You actually see results with this too as it’s half salicylic acid and half glycolic acid. I love it, the bottle is HUGE and will last you for a long time. Worth the price for sure!
