Products for Sensitive Skin

🍌 So I don’t have particularly sensitive skin but I definitely am prone to SENSITIZING my skin which I blame on my late stage chemical exfoliant and retinol addiction. I’ve had my share of contact dermatitis and these are some products I love when my skin is really reacting. 🍌 Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream - a lightweight soothing moisturizer. The texture of this is really interesting...it kind of jiggles in the jar and reminds me of banana pudding before it sets. This moisturizer contains magnesium and banana which are both great for calming irritation. It has a very light banana scent and is a great daily moisturizer if you have sensitive skin or are using heavy actives. 🍌 REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm - a heavy balm for really dry or sensitive skin. If you’re oily you’ll hate this stuff. It has the texture of literal Vaseline. But if your skin is really dry or irritated this will calm it down. I use this when my skin is in a state of emergency and it always helps. This balm contains a plethora of soothing and moisturizing botanical oils...it does also contain essential oils and fragrance if that’s something you’re sensitive to. 🍌 Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream - this is a GREAT moisturizer for stressed out skin. This one is a little heavier than the Glow Recipe but not too rich. The star ingredient in this is Guaiazulene which is derived from chamomile and gives the cream it’s beautiful blue color. This also contains Centella Asciatica a great soothing ingredient for calming redness.

CeraVe Facial Mosituriser: Sunscreen and Lotion!
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ I started using CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin four weeks ago. I needed a new day cream as I had completed a 3 month trial using Auquest 5 Second Wrinkle Cream. I posted my results in January so if you want to know more check out my previous post. ☺️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin was highly recommended here so, Cherie 🍒 made me buy it! Although it’s for normal to dry skin, it also works well for people with skin conditions, like psoriasis. I suffer from psoriasis. 🙃 I have combination skin which is more on the oily side but I really wanted to give CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin a try as it’s recommended by dermatologists. CeraVe was developed by dermatologists and uses a patented formulation to protect the skin barrier. The Company call the formulation, Multivesicular Emulsion Technology. It’s ensures CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin will be time released throughout the day for complete hydration. It also uses three different ceramides which help retain water 💧 and strengthen and repair the skin barrier. My thoughts 💭 🧚‍♀️ It’s fragrance free, no parabens and non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores), ✅ which is great since I have larger than average pores 🙃 🧚‍♀️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin has an SPF 15 with broad spectrum protection and can be classed as a secondary sunscreen in Australia. An SPF15 can block 93.3% of UVR compared to SPF30 which blocks 97%. So technically I feel I could use it as my sunscreen but, because I’m 45, I like to apply an SPF30. ☺️ 🧚‍♀️ It has a nice lightweight texture and easily absorbs into your skin. I didn’t purge when I added it to my day routine! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 🧚‍♀️ My skin loves this cream, it feels smoother and softer and it keeps my skin hydrated 💦 all day. 🧚‍♀️ It retails for $22 in Australia 🇦🇺 I love the price point! Although I’ve only been using it for a month, I’m giving CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 4 stars!!!! It’s ticked a lot of boxes for me but as it’s only my initial review I didn’t want to give it too much Kudos. I’m loving it and feel a little sad as I have a new GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Creamthat I’d like to trial after the CeraVe. But, I don’t really want to swap it out. 😂😂😂 I guess that’s the Dilemma of being a Creator. I don’t always keep using what’s working because I like to review new products. 🙃 Let me know if you tried the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin and if it worked for you. I’d love to hear from you. Have a wonderful day! Jade ☺️

Banana Soufflé
GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream This is one of my favorite moisturizers! It has great ingredients but is simple enough for everyday use without irritation. It gives the skin a healthy glow and smells amazing. Things I love about it: 🍌 hydrating and lightweight 🍌 gives a nice glowing look 🍌 key ingredients: banana, magnesium, and centella asiatica 🍌 very calming and soothing 🍌 good for all skin types and does not cause breakouts 🍌 natural fragrance from banana I highly recommend this moisturizer. The only con is that it can sometimes be a little tacky depending on other steps in your routine, but that quickly goes away. I have already finished this container (pictured) and have another mini one that I use now. Also the GLOW RECIPE - Banana Crewneck is super comfy and such a cute shade of yellow! If you get a chance to get one you should. Glow Recipe recently re-released it on their website after it being gone for a while. I recommend getting the size you normally get for sweatshirts. It does run a little large, but mostly in the length of the sweatshirt. But because of that it’s great with a pair of leggings! If you have tried this moisturizer or have any product recommendations please let me know in the comments!

Quick reviews on samples
To take a page from my friend @Mallorywho does #samplesaturday - sharing mine a day late 🤗 To purchase list (TPL)- YES or NO? alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer While I only got two 2 of this in 1 day, am & pm, I was able to determine it’s not for me. The scent was off-putting, a very natural scent which I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t linger. It’s also got some oils in it that can be irritating. At $60 this is a very pricey moisturizer. It claims the benefits of Bakuchiol (retinol alternative), Squalane and Vitamin C BUT you don’t see these ingredients until over half way through the ingredient list! TPL - NO REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm $49 I really liked this. I like to really moisturize up at night so I would add my nightly moisturizer and top off with a thin layer of this balm. I had no issues with a sticky mess and my hair (or pet hair) all over my face as I have had with a previous balm. One ⭐️ taken for fragrance. TPL - YES DIOR - Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect A gorgeous primer/serum but incredibly overpriced at $120! Not as fragrant as some I’ve used before being it has the added fragrance but there are more reasonably priced options available, Tatcha’s primer even being half the price! TPL - NO TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream $60 This eye cream is THICK! It’s more like a balm that is meant to melt into your skin. For me it was hard to spread around my eye area. I would try to warm up between my fingers first but just didn’t find it easy to work with. I’m not a fan of using fragrance around my eyes either. While I love Tatcha I have other eye creams I’d rather use. I also did not like product in this type of container, very small and not sanitary given the texture. TPL - NO SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment $120. I believe I’ve talked about this one before. It is such a small sample but a tiny (pea-size) amount is only needed. So I was able to determine this was non-irritating to my skin. It’s got a pretty decent ingredient list except for the fragrance. I prefer using Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow with AHA & BHA at half the price. TPL - NO Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum $72. While I initially thought this was working for me I’ve realized it may have brightened some areas of skin but did not help fade or reduce my spots. A pretty simple serum to use with no issues in my routine. TPL - NO LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer $33 A HIGHLY popular toner that has a pretty simple ingredient list. I love a good hydrating toner and this hits the spot! It’s easy to transfer from my hands to my face and my skin drinks it up. I was able to add as many layers as I’d like without any side effects. Only downside is Laneige is not cruelty free. TPL - NO ❤️🍒

REN Skincare for Maskacne
I told you guys I would buy the full size of these babies because I loved them so much! After I wear a mask all day long and my skin feels all gunked up I use the ren radiance toner and this dark spot overnight cream. It just gets rid of any oncoming acne it is a god send! And the recovery balm I actually use before I have to put a mask on for 8 hours because it traps in the moisture better then anything I’ve tried before. And it does leave my face baby soft so that’s a plus! 5/5 love love love these two

P.m. skincare routine. Suggestions ?
Here is my pm skincare routine. Started to care about my skin couple months ago only. Never had major issues but fine lines are starting to appear and let’s face it, I was bored during quarantine. I wanted to give double cleanse a try but had trouble finding a drugstore cleansing balm. I came across cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser and was pleasantly surprised. Works okay on make up and is gentle with nice ingredients. I wish the gliding would be a bit more smooth though. I can sometimes feel some pulling and tugging. 🌾 I follow with sioris - Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser as I like milky cleansers. This one is fine especially in colder weather but I sometimes feel like its a bit heavy and not deep cleansing enough. I prefer LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser but have run out. 🥛 I then follow with a first essence and a toner. People always say they are not essential in your routine but they’re actually my fave step. Adding soothing and hydrating ingredients without any heavy/greasy texture (I damaged my skin barrier after over exfoliating). I'm from - Mugwort Essence & COSRX - Propolis Synergy Toner are the ones I’m using right now. My skin agrees with both and it calms down any redness or tight feeling after cleansing. 🐝 I wanted to try snail mucin and was missing a small amount for free shipping (I know you feel me) so opted for MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream . Haven’t seen any results on the fine lines around my eyes yet as its only been a couple weeks but the texture is amazing and light and silky. 🐌 Once a week I will use THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum . Will step up to two times a week very soon. Just started my retinol journey and almost made the mistake to go with a 1% OTC retinol. Boy am I glad I did some research. This one is 0,05% retinol. Would really like your recommendations for a next step retinol for my next purchase :). I end the routine with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion . Really love this. It has niacinamide which is nice because I don’t use it in serum form. I have it in my am toner as well and its just enough for me. Would maybe wanna switch up for a heavier moisturizer for winter if you have any suggestions. Cerave is always sold out in drugstores so wanted to try something else when I run out. Please feel free to recommend products you like. I will mention I use I'm from - Honey Mask and dear, klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream on nights my skin feel really bothered (like the night after I used the retinol) I adore the mask but will not be repurchasing the klairs cream. Its a bit overpriced and overrated in my opinion. I will gladly pay less for a similar white “less instagramable” cream. Any suggestion for this one as well? 🍯💙

My Favorite Korean Skincare Products
🇰🇷 Korean Skincare has been gaining traction in the U.S. over the last several years and rightfully so. Korean skincare is typically affordable, effective, focused on hydration and sun protection, and several years ahead of the U.S. in trending ingredients. My combo dry skin LOVES the focus on hydration and I personally really enjoy a longer multi step k beauty routine. I typically et my k beauty products on YesStyle, Wishtrend, Amazon, or Sephora if it’s something like Laneige or Glow a Recipe. Here’s some of my favorite K Beauty products I currently have on rotation: (From top left to bottom right) 🇰🇷 Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream: A very rich, barrier replenishing moisturizer for when my skin is dry or irritated. 🇰🇷 Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum: An antioxidant rich gel texture hyaluronic serum. I use this daily. 🇰🇷 Mauve Fantastic Ever Cool Kids Never Sleep Cream: A water cream with some loud 80s packaging that I am LIVING FOR. This is a good dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm: A barrier replenishing cleansing balm rich in sea buckthorn oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream: A cream gel consistency moisturizer with blue tansy. Great for calming any inflammation. 🇰🇷 Krave Oat So Simple Water Cream: A very lightweight water cream with soothing oats. 🇰🇷 Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun: Get 👏🏻 Hip 👏🏻 To 👏🏻 This 👏🏻 Sunscreen 👏🏻 it’s like $8 and completely invisible and weightless. This is like my fourth bottle. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel: An antioxidant rich mildly exfoliating gel cleanser. I feel very so so about this. It’s fine but I wouldn’t buy again. 🇰🇷 Laneige Cream Skin Toner: A milky hydrating toner with meadow foam seed oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner: An incredibly hydrating and plumping watery gel consistency toner. 🇰🇷 Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel: A richly foaming powder enzyme cleanser gentle enough for every day use.

YTTP Adaptogen Moisture cream
YTTP Adaptogen Moisture cream
So the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi was sent as a surprise gift to me and I have been using it for 3 weeks. Which really goes to show just how little you need to cover your whole face well. I think this is meant for any skin type really but would probably say dry skin types would benefit the most from it. The adaptogens and mushroom ingredients definitely help calm my skin a bit and reduce irritation. No breakouts from using this at all, in fact I think I’ve seen less breakouts since I started it. The texture is a bit thick but not too heavy for daytime use. It applies well and absorbs so quickly so I don’t look to shiny after applying which is always a plus. There doesn’t seem to be a fragrance to it which is one of my favorite things. After I apply it, it just feels like my skin is amazing and not like I have a moisturizer on. Overall I’ve been a huge fan. Definitely going to be purchasing the full size soon because it’s so nice. I would definitely reccomend this to anyone looking for a decently moisturizing moisturizer. Safe for acne (at least for me), and sensitive skin!

farmacy Honey Savior is a true
farmacy Honey Savior is a true all around product. It’s a salve that absolutely helps repair and soothe dry and irritated skin. I use it on my lips, the skin around my nose because it’s super prone to dryness and irritation, any dry spots I have on my face (usually from abusing acids), on my cuticles so I don’t pick at them, my elbows (they’re always dry af) and lastly, as a highlighter on my cheekbones and nose (so so good). It’s literally like Vaseline but 10x better with the extra added nutrients and honey. You’re also probably wondering if I’ve ever experienced any break outs from it and the answer is no. It’s super gentle on the skin and a must-have 👌🏼

Lightweight Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin
Lightweight Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin
Hellooooooo guys! Today I’m sharing my first impression using this honey potion moisturizer from farmacy! This is marketed as a great nourishing moisturizer for sensitive skin, thanks to all the ingredients like it’s honey blend with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and cupuaçu butter beads that melt into the skin and give long-lasting moisture! First off the bat in my first impression was the scent- it did smell vaguely of honey, but in a way that reminded me of chemicals. So, not the best for me (for which it loses a star). Besides that, it was an okay moisturizer. I didn’t wear makeup that day so I don’t know how well it holds up underneath, but my skin did feel moisturized and soothes while wearing it. The beads are a weird texture for me, and the scent just wasn’t doing it for me either. And at $45 I just don’t think it’s worth the money for a product that to me, felt very chemically. For this reason, I’m giving it 2/5 stars because my skin didn’t have a bad reaction. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this to anyone because I have other lightweight moisturizers for sensitive skin like mine that I enjoy much more.

YTTP Adaptogen deep moisture cream!
YTTP Adaptogen deep moisture cream!
Meet Youth To The People’s adaptogen deep moisture cream, my go-to daily moisturizer to keep my sensitive/dry skin soothed and hydrated. I’m not really a huge fan of moisturizers, they’re a NEED not a WANT in my skincare collection. I’m not the person to get excited about moisturizer launches or try anything fancy.. but THIS one really stands out. YTTP is an outstanding company with all around GREAT products in their line. Every product of theirs has fantastic ingredients with zero harmful fillers, alcohols, or fragrance. Adaptogen deep moisture cream is meant for ALL skin types, especially dry/sensitive like me, due to the thicker/creamier formula and soothing adaptogens. This cream claims to be deeply hydrating and calming, to help soothe redness and dehydration. This cream has ZERO scent to it, has a thick whipped texture, and soaks into the skin without leaving any weird residue nor dewiness. I absolutely love the finish of this cream, leaves your skin velvety. I have been using adaptogen deep for a complete year now! I’ve just started my third jar of it, and can’t recommend it enough! It truly is a versatile cream for anyone needing moisture in their skin. My only tiny tiny gripe, and i’ve basically been spoiled with DE’s air tight pump packaging, is that this is in a jar and you have to dip into it. Most of the time I don’t have an extra second to grab a spatula to scrape out of the jar, so its a little unsanitary (obv my own fault). This product comes in a decent size jar, 2 oz/60ml at 58USD, which I find pretty standard in the beauty industry. One of the cheaper moisturizers I’ve used and I feel it does go a long way, so well worth it. I highly recommend this cream.YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi

Farmacy Honey Drop moisturizer
Farmacy Honey Drop moisturizer
{What does it claim?} It’s A lightweight yet intensely hydrating gel-cream moisturizer formulated with antioxidant-rich honey, hyaluronic acid & golden cupuaçu butter beads. {Texture/consistency?} It is a very lightweight gel moisturizer with small creamy beads in it. {My thoughts?} I bought this a couple weeks ago and I am in love! For the past two years I’ve used my same PTR gel moisturizer for my sensitive dry skin and it has always worked wonders, I ran out and wanted to try something new. I’ve seen so many great reviews about this and I wanted to give it a bit of a chance before I reviewed it, and I’ve decided I love it! It smells like honey and the texture is so smooth and jelly like. It feels very lightweight and my skin can breathe but is VERY hydrating. I was a bit scared since I’m the title it says “lightweight” but I’m my opinion the texture is lightweight but not the product itself. I feel like it better moisturized my skin than the PTR or any moisturizer (besides drunk elephant whipped moisturizer) but while being not heavy on my skin! Plus it didn’t break out my sensitive skin!! My skin feels so nice when I wake up (I only use at PM) it says to use AM under makeup, I haven’t ventured that far yet! But for right now I’m hooked. It retails for $45 on Sephora for 1.7 oz, and it seems to last. It comes in a nice glass jar with a wooden cap and a silver spatula “, making it clean & easy to scoop product out! I give it a 5/5 💖 go out and try it!!! FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer

Key ingredients- tatcha indigo cream!
Key ingredients- tatcha indigo cream!
The key ingredients of the tatcha indigo cream! The first ingredient is colloidal oatmeal which is an amazing skin protectant! The second ingredient is avena sativa kernel extract, this is great for anti inflammatory, moisturizing and soothing! The final key ingredient is sophora japonica flower extract, which helps anti-inflammation, and brightens skin! The tatcha indigo cream soothing skin protectant is a fragrance free moisturizer that delivers therapeutic natural ingredients to provide relief and long lasting hydration for sensitive skin! This can be solutions for dryness, uneven texture and redness. The texture of this is a very thick cream. My skin is very dry and this helped it get through the winter months without being so dry!
