GLYCOLIC ACID PRODUCTS
💦 Glycolic Acid is another favorite ingredient of mine. It is a chemical exfoliant, namely an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), meaning it works on the surface of the skin to exfoliate dead skin cells. This can help prevent acne and blackheads, eliminate texture, and increase skins brightness and clarity. Here are some glycolic acid products in my rotation and my thoughts on them: (From left to right) 💦 Moon Juice Acid Potion is a 25% blend of glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids that also contains soothing adaptogenic reishi mushroom and pore minimizing niacinamide. I typically prefer a blend of acids like this because it can penetrate the skin at different depths. My skin is very accustomed to acids though and I would not recommend this for beginners unless you are using on a once a week basis. This is a good option if you like a stronger chemical exfoliant and are looking for a clean brand however I think this was a bit intense for my skin and I actually broke out from it 😞 💦 Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Toner with Apple Cider Vinegar is a 20% blend of glycolic and salicylic acid that also contains collagen stimulating apple cider vinegar. Even though this is almost as strong as the Moon Juice this did not cause me to break out or give me any irritation and in fact I noticed a significant improvement in acne and skin clarity. This is still very strong however and if you’re new to acids I would recommend starting with once a week with this one also. Another great option if you want a clean, potent chemical exfoliant. 💦 Saturday Skin Pore Clarifying Toner is a 10% glycolic acid toner that also contains pore minimizing ingredients such as witch hazel and niacinamide and hydrating sodium PCA. This is by far the gentlest of the three and a great option for beginner especially if pore minimizing is your focus. Witch hazel is an astringent so it tightens the skin and minimizes the look of pores. Niacinamide also works to minimize the appearance of pores while soothing redness. Witch hazel can be a little drying so if your skin is already on the dry side this may not be for you but Sodium PCA works to hydrate and balance out the drying effects. All in all a great chemical exfoliant for beginners looking for a clean option.

How To Be A Sustainable Skincare Enthusiast
🌍 I find myself in the predicament of really caring and being concerned about our planet, but also falling victim to rampant consumerism. I don’t think I’ll ever be a minimalist, but there are definitely things that can be done to have a more sustainability focused skincare collection. 🌍 Avoid single use packaging: This includes exfoliating wipes, makeup wipes, sheet masks, individually packaged acne patches (ahem, Zitsticka), and probably a bunch of other stuff I’m not thinking of right now. Consider using containers with multiple uses instead. 🌍 Reusable toner pads instead of cotton rounds: Same idea as the single use packaging...reuse when you can...or just use your hands and don’t use any pads to apply toner. 🌍 Shop in person (I struggle with this one): Shopping online requires extra packaging which means extra waste, also more carbon emissions are required to ship items. But in store if you can. 🌍 Buy products with glass packaging instead of plastic: Because plastic is terrible. 🌍 Buy vegan products if you can: commodification of animals creates a ton of methane emissions which is every worse than carbon emissions for climate change. 🌍 Support sustainable practices: look into the brands you buy from and what they are doing to be sustainable. Avoid fast beauty (I’m looking at you colourpop) or buying beauty from fast fashion companies such as ASOS, Forever 21, and H&M.
Moon Juice Shroom Juice Exfoliating Acid
Sorry for my absence on here! But here’s a review overhaul today. So I always forget about how good this product is because it just fits so seamlessly into my routine. This is theMoon Juice - Acid Potion Resurfacing Exfoliator and I’ve had two bottles of this in the past year. It’s the closes thing you can get to BR Lotion P50 in a Sephora for way less money. I believe this retails for around $40. I don’t use it every night. I use it maybe every three days and only in the evening. I’ve gotten into a good routine of reading my skin for messages about what it wants. If it looks mildly irritated or overly oily, I use this. I think it really helps keep breakouts in check and it defines skin texture. I’ve listed the ingredients below from the Moon Juice website, as I think ingredients are always helpful when trying to estimate the efficacy of a skincare product. . . . “Water, Glycolic Acid a purified Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Phytic Acid plant-based antioxidant, Sodium Hydroxide acid neutralizing agent, Niacinamide Vitamin B3, Propanediol is an alternative for petroleum-based glycols and acts as a stabilizer, Glycereth-7 Trimethyl Ether pH stable solubilizer for Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid Beta Hydroxy Acid, Allantoin plant-based soother, Ganoderma Lucidum (Reishi Mushroom) Extract anti-inflammaging supermushroom, Tocotrienols antioxidant Vitamin E, Glycerin humectant, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate an ester of oleic acid that works as an emulsifier, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil emollient, Tocopherol antioxidant Vitamin E, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil essential oil for fragrance, Citric Acid extract derived from citrus fruits to modify the formula’s pH, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract natural preservation system, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract natural preservation system”
𝘿𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨: 🌸 • A toner that helps to smooth and refine your skins appearance with an effective dose of 10% glycolic acid and a blend of ingredients. • This toner helps to address the look of skin tone and texture with a special blend of 10 percent glycolic acid and the pore control complex - witch hazel, tea tree oil, and red clover. • The blend helps create the appearance of a smooth, poreless complexion. • Features: Fragrance-free, Witch Hazel • Form: Liquid • Sustainability: Cruelty-free . . 🌸💭🌸 This is a toner I've been wanting to try for a while. I have big pores and I'm always looking for something to help. The packaging is beautiful.i love the frosted bottle. It has weight to it. I've used this toner 3x a week to start of because I have sensitive skin. It has a tingle(a little more than I liked) when I first applied. I had to let me skin adjust. It gives your skin a refresher and brighter look. It helps smooth and even out your skin which is always a plus. I think this product will work wonders on acne prone skin because it's an chemical exfoliating toner. 🌸
Ballin’ on a Budget! *DUPE ALERT*
So I bought glycolic acid toners after hearing how it helps with chemical exfoliation along with brightening any dark spots you may have! If you didn’t know glycolic acid are chemical exfoliators that help with scarring, prevent aging, as well as help with texture. During these times, like being inside all the time, my skin has been dealing with a lot of textures and clogged pores and these products have been helping me with that. But I think I may have found a dupe for one another. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution after seeing and hearing wonderful reviews about it! I’m not someone who enjoys toners and never really used them but after picking this one up, I was like “OH DAYUM! Okay!” LIKE THIS TONER IS LITERALLY A MAGIC IN A BOTTLE! If you have texture, hyperpigmentation, unevenness, this is the product for you! SATURDAY SKIN - Pore Clarifying Toner so this is an extremely strong toner because it has 10% glycolic acid! This was a toner that I used once a week because I have dry, sensitive, eczema-tic skin. So this was extremely strong for me but I saw such good results! So in conclusion, I think the ordinary glycolic acid 7% toner is a dupe for the Saturday skin 10% glycolic acid. They both are chemical exfoliators and help with uneven skin, texture and discoloration!!
💕💦 Renew & Hydrate
I am more than half-way through these beauties and will be sad once empty! boscia - Resurfacing Treatment Tonergently resurfaces and exfoliates the skin with AHA's, BHA's, & Apple Cider Vinegar while also nourishing the skin with a formulation of Boscia's signature blend of Willow Herbs, and Jojoba Leaf. boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream is a rich, thick, and creamy product and it keeps my skin so hydrated and well-balanced. Both have been the perfect duo for my night time routines especially, during these colder, drier nights. Boscia is one of those OG brands that I've loved since the very beginning and I can fully trust their products to keep my skin healthy and happy. Every single product I've tried from them so far has been gentle and great to my skin and I have always been and will always remain a complete fan. Do you have any brands where they keep doing you good? *Products gifted without any obligation to post or review. All thoughts are mine and mine only.
Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Toner
I love this toner ! It has that tingling sensation from the shot of Apple Cider Vinegar ( helping with toning and treating wrinkles, dull skin, and dark spots. 20% Acid complex Apple cider vinegar Exfoliates Potent AHAs & BHAs Use: after cleansing, put onto cotton pad gently sweeping on dry skin. Gentle enough for every day use. AHAs to be applied with sunscreen
I wanted glow and I’ve used SKII Treatment Essence in my previous routine, but this Missha Time Revolution FTE Intensive Moist is one of the most recommended by many skincare enthusiasts. They say this is the best dupe of the SK-II, so for the past couple of months I’ve been using it in the mornings and evenings after cleansing. My favorite way to use this product is to decant it into a small spray bottle and spray it directly on my face then tap gently until absorbed. The texture is watery, absorbs fast into the skin and doesn’t leave a tacky or oily feeling. Some of you might be thinking, “It contains yeast?” I was also a little bit discouraged with fermented skincare, especially since I have acne. In fact, fermented yeast concentrate claimed to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and enlarged pores, controls sebum and discoloration, and boost skin radiance. The active yeast ferment ingredient in the Missha version is not Pitera like SK-II. Instead, it used Fissione, which is a beer brewing byproduct from the same Saccharomyces family. In comparison, the ingredients list for SK-II is pretty short, which are mostly antioxidant, solvents and preservatives. But besides the yeast, the Missha FTE has longer list and wonderful skincare actives like Licorice Root, Lactic Acid, and Niacinamide, which are known as anti-inflammatory, skin brightener, and skin barrier protector. Then, the result? I feel like the Missha FTE is quite effective on brightening and lightens any dark acne scars. I don’t know if the essence or the other Vitamin C serum I use was responsible for that. But it does provide extra hydration and prep my skin for the absorption of other products. My complexion is more even-toned and radiant. I also feel like it controls my skin’s oil production during the day. Honestly, I don’t see any cons besides it didn’t provide me with the same comfort as SK-II gave to my skin. It didn’t stimulate wound healing and reduce redness. Also it didn’t really soothe irritation after acid treatment or when my skin was breaking out. So, I kind of miss those safe feelings from SK-II which I think is important for my oily problematic skin.

Lotion P50 vs Knockout Tingling Treatment
⚡️ Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 is a chemical exfoliant toner with pretty much a cult following. It has long been considered the gold standard for chemical exfoliants until Tarte came along with a dupe, The Knockout Tingling Treatment for a portion of the price. ⚡️ Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 comes in three sizes: 1.7 Oz for $30, 5.1 Oz for $68, or 8.5 Oz for $103. This product contains a potent mix of lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, phytic acid, and salicylic acid. ⚡️ Tarte Knockout Tingling Treatmrmt comes in two sizes: 1.7 Oz for $18 or 5 Oz for $39. This product contains a 10% blend of lactic acid, citric acid, malice acid, phyitic acid, and salicylic acid (sounds familiar?) ⚡️ Additionally both products contain niacinamide, onion bulb extract, horseradish extract, and vinegar....they’re truly almost exactly the same product. ⚡️ But which one is better? I’m going to start off by saying I love both of these exfoliants. They both tingle a little bit when i apply them and they both help significantly with texture, acne, blackheads, and dullness. I will say I notice just slightly more improvement in the clarity of my skin with the Lotion P50, but do I think it’s enough of a difference to pay twice as much money? No. If I were to repurchase one of these it would be the Tarte. Although I like the Lotion P50 a teensy bit better, it’s just not enough to warrant the price difference for me.

Empty — Caudalie Vinopure Toner
CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Toner PRODUCT This product is a toner, to be used after cleansing and before serums or moisturizer, that targets skin impurities such as texture, acne, and dullness. It is a liquid consistency, best used with a cotton pad or equivalent to apply (see second picture). OPINION I absolutely love this toner! I am already on my second bottle and I can’t get enough. I’ve been using it for a little bit over a year, and it’s undoubtedly the best toner I’ve tried for texture. This has helped my texture tremendously, thanks to the addition of salicylic acid. If you haven’t used acids before, this might sting a bit upon application, but I have not found that to be the case for me. This toner is $28 for this size which lasted me about 9 months, so I think it is more than worth it! I recommend this highly and give it a rating of 5/5 stars!

Review : Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner. Skin Type : Combination Skin This is not a sponsored review, I bought the product from my own pocket. 😃 First, I would like to thank @shofon.official because this is where I buy my Korean skincare products. 🔘I have chosen to try this toner because I watched and read many positive reviews from this product and the brand itself. So let’s get to this. 🔘Packaging wise it comes with a spray type bottle which I think so convenient because you can just spray it directly to your face. And the bottle is made from a very nice plastic material which you can bring anywhere, so handy. 🔘I have been using this toner as a part of my morning routine. This is my daily acid exfoliator, the product has ingredients mainly the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) will exfoliate the outer surface of the skin and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) that penetrates the inner layer of the skin unclogging pores it has also antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties which prevent the skin from getting acne, and another benefit of this is it reduces the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads and blemishes. 🔘So far this product works well for me, I never had breakouts the moment i started using this. I noticed that when I apply it to areas that I have pimple it easily dries out. It doesn’t have any smell which is very good for me. It will not make your skin dry at all and it doesn’t have any sting sensation after applying this product. This is a very gentle toner 👍 🔘I also noticed that my skin looks much more brighter, some of the pigmentation is gone. But you need to have alot of patience before you see the results. Please be sure to use SPF when using in the morning! 💵Price point - it’s affordable. Final Verdict : ✔️I am definitely continue using this amazing product and will repurchase it ✔️I am very happy and satisfied with this amazing product and I want to recommend this to all who have the same skin type as mine ✔️Great for beginners because this is mild
COSRX-AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
🌿LeeGeeHaam Grow Hyal B5 Toner This product was the strangest one for me because it smells to me like a nutmeg and cardamon and it does contain nutmeg and cardamom oils. The main ingredient here is Provitamin B5 (Panthenol) which is a good moisturizer and it's accompanied by Niacinamide (B5) and Centella Asiatica Extract. The whole formula is not bad, the toner is quite thick - like other Korean toners I've tried but also very moisturizing. This formula didn't make my acne worse or didn't make my skin sensitive, even better - my skin is calmed now. Only the scent is a bit annoying at first but it's easy to get used to especially when you can't smell the scent when the product is on your face. Is this a product worth a try? Yes, I like this toner because it'll stay with you for a good couple of months and a small amount of it is enough to cover the entire face. 🌿LeeGeeHaam Vita Propolis Ampoule I made a post about this ampoule before in an old design version and does anything has changed from that time? No, this is and I feel like it forever will be my favourite ampoule. Why? It makes my acne less irritating - I got less acne when I use it even during the period when I usually get lots of acne. It's a small ampoule but it's made in 50% out of propolis, the rest are ingredients that can help with acne like Witch Hazel Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract or Licorice. You can even find adenosine here. Is it worth a try? Totally, you just have to try it! I swear, it can change your life. 🌿LeeGeeHaam Grow Matcha Clay Mask This is the product I wanted to try the most because I like a good clay mask and I like matcha/green tea. This mask is pure perfection. Why? It's not a mask that makes your skin super dry, it cleans your skin well and removes all the sebum well, leaving your skin moist and happy. The scent is very delicate I almost can't feel it and the formula itself has matcha tea quite high on the ingredient list. It can be really helpful for acne prone skin and if you deal with pores just like me. Overall feelings: Is this trio worth a try? Totally! Not only with Oily or Combo skin but in general I think that LeeGeeHaam makes really good products which are worth a try and I'm sure I won't end up my skincare journey with this brand on this trio. I feel encouraged to try more products from this brand.
