Review of my serums from subscription boxes
SPF Rx - Dual C + E + F Great daily serum, makes my skin glow! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum Almost sunscreen-like texture and smell. Not super appealing but feels protecting! BYROE - Bell Pepper Serum Very hydating, but doesn’t seem like anything special. A bit hard to get it out of the applicator - and a little bit does not go a long way. 111SKIN - Cryo Atp Sports Booster Nice feeling, not sure how necessary of a product it is, especially since I rarely work out 😂 EARTH HARBOR - Luna Lei Phyto-Resurfacing Night Serum Feels a little tingly, which makes me think it’s doing something 😄 nice smell too. #The Dirty Lamb - Ultra Night Serum[products]#[FourStars] I add to my moisturizer for extra hydration, just 1 or 2 drops. A bit oily, didn’t enjoy on its own - made me break out. The applicator is also very drippy. #Delia Organics - Dew Drops Serum[products]#[ThreeStars] Again, kind of oily, especially for a day serum. I still use sometimes, though, mixed in with my day cream for a more refreshed look.
Salad skin care? Yesss please 🥗
I'm so glad its Friday again, hopefully the coming week should be better than what we left behind. presenting this weeks Friday favorites. So I know about the Love of fresh salad but how about fresh salad in your skin care? I Want all the nutrients of consuming salad on to your skin when applied topically. Bʏʀᴏᴇ is of food besed luxury skincare brand from New York, that only formulates skincare line with clean, food based ingredients. There's a variety of gorgeous things in the brand and fortunate enough to Feature today a few of the gems, Bᴇʟʟ Pᴇᴘᴘᴇʀ Sᴇʀᴜᴍ An intensely hydrating serum that hydrates and retains moisture for healthy looking and growing complexion the soothing formula boast the skincare ritual that follows. Loaded with vitamin C from bell peppers this serum is quick absorbing and leaves the skin feeling bright and smooth. Bɪᴛᴛᴇʀ Gʀᴇᴇɴ Essence Tᴏɴᴇʀ A hydrating toner with green purifying ingredients that help smooth out the texture of the skin, targets wrinkles, fine lines, and dull and uneven skin tones. All I felt using this was Glow glow and glow. This is now a staple in my routine 💚
Old VS New: PM Essence
🏞 I love love love essences and toners and I actually use three different ones in the morning and three different ones at night, so six in a day. I know, I know...I never claimed to be a minimalist. But I am a huge proponent of the seven skin method where you pat various layers of toner/essence into the skin. I think it makes the skin so soft and glowy and plump. 🏞 But anyways...I tend to reserve my richer toners/essences for nighttime and for about six months I was using the Blithe 5 Energy Roots Vital Treatment however I just ran out so I’m replacing it with my CosRx Propolis Synergy Toner. Here’s my comparison: THE OLD 🏞 Blithe 5 Energy Roots Vital Treatment is a thicker consistency hydrating toner containing (as the name suggests) several roots including ginseng, lotus, and burdock. This essence is packed with antioxidants and made my skin incredibly soft and bright. I would definitely repurchase but I’m working on finishing up what I have now. THE NEW 🏞 CosRx Propolis Synergy Toner is a much more lightweight toner than the Vital Treatment. This product contains an impressive 72.6% Black Bee Propolis and 10% Honey. This product is not quite as hydrating as the Vital Treatment but it leaves my skin glowy and clear. The antimicrobial effects of the honey have really been helping with my fun bout of quarantine acne without drying my skin out.

I recently incorporated BANISH - Vitamin C Cream into my routine and so far it feels amazing! My face is softer but not greasy and my acne scars are starting to fade (will post a before and after when I can see a significant difference). I also like it because it’s in moisturizer (and stabilized) form so I have been able to use it with other treatments as well. I use it in the morning after washing my face with BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash , toning with PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator , and using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I would highly suggest doing a patch test if you’re gonna be combining these treatments with Vitamin C. I also add in elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 because vitamin c and sunscreen combine beautifully, and also cause sunscreen duh😂 Let me know if you have any questions/comments/feedback :)
My Skincare Routine for acne/acne scars !!!
I’ve been struggling with acne since I was 11 (I’m 21 now) and I feel like I have finally found a way to keep it under control, so I thought I would share: Morning: - BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash - this is a great gentle face wash that I’ve been using for almost 2 years. I’m allergic to a lot of ingredients on normal face washes so this was a great find - PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator - I only started using this one 4 months ago (after the first picture was taken) and I didn’t really notice the chance until I put both pictures side by side (every other morning) - The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - this product has also helped dramatically with skin texture and acne elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 - this sunscreen is amazing, it almost feels like a moisturizer since it has niacinamide and hyluaronic acid Night: - Same cleanser - The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution - this is a more stronger exfoliator that I think has helped a lot with acne scars (every other night) - Vanicream Daily Moisturizer- I couldn’t tag this product because it is relatively new but this is the first moisturizer I haven’t gotten an allergic reaction to so I love it. It also feels amazing on the skin and has played an important role in my overall skin texture That’s pretty much it! Let me know if you have any questions/comments/feedback :)

Updated PM Routine
Hey guys! I recently posted my updated AM routine, so now it’s time for my updated PM routine! It’s mostly the same products, minus SPF and adding in actives. For reference, I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin! 1. *Not pictured* If I wore makeup that day (very rare) or used multiple layers of sunscreen, I use the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil to double cleanse my skin. Double cleansing provides a deeper clean on days that I need it! ($28 for 6.7oz at Dermstore) 2. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser : I recently made the switch from CeraVe hydrating cleanser, and I am absolutely loving it! It’s still gentle, but it provides an amazing deep clean! It foams up really well. My skin is so soft and clean after using it. It’s the perfect first step for my routine. I use one pump with my Innerneed silicone face scrubber. ($8.99 for 8oz at Target.) 3. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This hyaluronic acid solution contains 5 different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. It has a gel-like texture. I apply a small amount on damp skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and glowing. ($15.89 for 8oz on Amazon.) 4. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream : This is the moisturizer that I keep coming back to. I have yet to find one that I like better! It’s very thick and moisturizing. It absorbs best when I apply it while my skin is still damp from the hyaluronic acid lotion. It provides a matte finish and keeps my skin soft & hydrated throughout the day! ($9.99 for 8oz at Target.) 5. Tretinoin 0.1% or PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster : I alternate these products every other night. The Tretinoin is my holy grail product! It was prescribed by my dermatologist for my acne. If you are interested to learn more about Tretinoin, check out my posts “My Tretinoin Journey” and “Derm Prescribed Acne Treatments”. ($10 with insurance) Azelaic acid was also prescribed by my dermatologist to help fade my post-inflammatory erythema (PIE), which is basically post-acne red marks. I already had this product at home, so I’m finishing it up before switching to prescription strength. ($36 for 1oz from Paula’s Choice) Both of these products have helped me so much. My skin is getting clearer and clearer each day!
Updated AM Routine
My first post was about my AM routine, and since it’s been 6 months, I thought it would be a good time to post an updated AM routine! For reference, I have dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. So here are the products I currently use- 1. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser I recently made the switch from CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser , and I am absolutely loving it! It’s still gentle, but it provides an amazing deep clean! My skin is so soft and clean after using it. It’s the perfect first step for my routine. I use one pump with my Innerneed silicone face scrubber. ($8.99 for 8oz at Target.) 2. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This hyaluronic acid solution contains 5 different molecular weight of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. It has a gel-like texture. I apply a small amount on damp skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and glowing. ($15.89 for 5.75oz on Amazon.) 3. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin : This is the moisturizer that I keep coming back to. I have yet to find one that I like better! It’s very thick and moisturizing. It absorbs best when I apply it while my skin is still damp from the hyaluronic acid lotion. It provides a matte finish and keeps my skin soft & hydrated throughout the day! ($9.99 for 8oz at Target.) 4. Krave - The Beet Shield : This is my favorite sunscreen! It’s unlike any sunscreen I’ve ever tried. It’s so light, not sticky, and hydrates my skin! I can reapply it throughout the day without feeling like I have a ton of product on my face. This is my one “splurge” product! ($20 for 1.69oz at Kravebeauty.com) Total routine costs: $54.87 Stay tuned for my PM routine!

Awesome Face Oil for Combination Skin!
What’s the first thing we think of when it comes to hydration? Water, Squalene, Essence...and a whole bunch of other things. But what about oil? I recently ran out of my DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum and I figured it was time to get my third bottle. The ingredients in the bottle help with removing dead skin cells, dryness, and help cell turn over. Little did I ask myself WHY my skin had dry patches and why the dry skin kept coming back. Like everyone else, I thought dry is dry, I’ll always have this and it’s normal. Then, I got breakouts from makeup and had to deal with additional problems. Little did I understand, I was only solving the symptoms and not the root of the problem. BUT THEN I DISCOVERED OILS! After using SUNDAY RILEY - Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil not only was I able to go without a moisturizer for two days(which is a lot for me), I was able to see my skin really improve over a weeks time! I didn’t have any dry patches and oddly enough, my redness on my cheeks weren’t as prominent! I don’t usually mind the redness because it gives me a natural “blush”. However, having less red cheeks means less time to spend on doing makeup, so it’s an added plus! I was wondering why this stuff worked so well. This blend has a mixture of oleic acid and linoleic acids, perfect for hydrating the parts of my skin that were dry and my acne-prone areas. Dry skin needs Oleic Acids and Oily skin needs Linoleic Acid. I opted for something that has both, because Acne/Combination skin needs a little bit of each oil. For the past two weeks, I have only used this oil or another face oil with TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream and have seen AWESOME improvement in my acne scarring and NO DRY PATCHES! I can even go without moisturizer for two days! If this oil is a bit spendy, I would also reccommend trying pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil ! More on this oil in a later post!
TWO WEEK DIFFERENCE!
I’m thrilled to share my Before & After of just TWO WEEKS of progress after switching to an almost all Sunday Riley routine (and face masking 5-6 times a week!). I took these in the same room with the same lighting, no products or makeup on my face. I thought maybe one was in the morning and one at night, but just checked the time stamps and they were within 5 minutes of each other! AM: 1)SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser 2)SUNDAY RILEY - Pink Drink Firming Resurfacing Essence 3)SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil 4)SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum 5)SUNDAY RILEY - Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream 6) SPF (SR supposed to be dropping one next spring, but I will share another post about my current favorite SPFs soon!) PM: 1)SUNDAY RILEY - Blue Moon Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm (usually leave on for 20-30mins) 2)SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser 3)SUNDAY RILEY - Pink Drink Firming Resurfacing Essence 4)SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum 5)SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil 6)SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment 7)GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask 8)SUNDAY RILEY - Saturn Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask(if needed) 9)PETER THOMAS ROTH - Un-Wrinkle Night 10)SUNDAY RILEY - Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil (if needed for extra hydration)

Some of my faves to stay hydrated in the cold
*I have oilskin that isn’t particularly sensitive* Derma-E Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum A super hydrating serum that works great for sensitive skin and can be used day and night. It helps reduce redness and is chock full of Omegas. I use in the morning and night after applying the next product which is... Hanskin Skin Essence Safe for sensitive skin. a K-Beauty essence which is a product I’ve experienced with this year to replace or enhance the use of a toner. I’m oily and so this doesn’t work well as a toner but it’s great to apply after cleansing + toning to add moisture into your skin. It’s super light and you literally only need to drop the bottle in your palm one time and dab directly on your face. After applying this I follow up with a serum as mentioned, then an oil and moisturizer. Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cleansing oil This is also safe for sensitive skin and the first cleansing oil I’ve tried. I’ve had this for almost a year. After first I was mainly using it before applying a face mask but as the weather gets colder, I’ll be using this once a day before applying a standard cleanser (double cleansing as the kids say) Fresh Sugar Lip Polish I got this from Sephora when I was eyeing Fenty Beauty’s lip scrub but the sales girl redirected me (sorry Rih Rih!). Lip exfoliation is something I should’ve gotten into sooner. Especially with the amount of 🌬🌲 I do. I love this scrub though, it’s made with sugar and super moisturizing. You really don’t have to apply a lip mask after scrubbing on your lips and rinsing it off but I do which brings me to... Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Baybeeee when I tell you my lips have never felt butterier?!? This right here is something your lips will thank you for. Best used before bed or as a prep before applying lipstick (which I learned from the queen, Tracee Ellis Ross) Lastly, and certainly not least Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream This is one of the most slept on skin care gems. This ultra moisturizing cream is made of olive oil, beeswax, honey propolis and Royal jelly 🍯 🐝 and guess what? I bought it for less than $10 at Walmart! The ingredient properties include antioxidants so it’s great for acne prone skin. I use this as my post-face mask moisturizer or in between serum and moisturizer application in the morning to give my skin an extra layer of hydration to protect against the elements outside. There is a version of this cream made by Taui that is less thick that I prefer (this will make you look greasy at first, Taui does not) when I’m getting ready to go out but where am I going right now? No where! DERMA•E - Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence boscia - MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil fresh - Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask EGYPTIAN MAGIC - Healing cream
BAG FULL OF GOODIES
wanted to share my quick thoughts on some new products i have recently tried/incorporated into my routine! ⭐️ @theouai rose hair & body oil: we love a multi-functional product!!! this smells so fresh and is perfect for the ends of my hair for an extra boost of hydration. also makes me skin so soft! ⭐️ @boscia cleansing oil*: such a clean scent! i use about 2-3 pumps of this at night & easily removes all my makeup & spf. it’s hydrating and doesn’t leave any type of film behind! ⭐️ @soleilsolace shimmering rose infused body oil*: this is a dream! it gives the perfect amount of hydration & shimmer!!! it blends effortlessly & leaves me so glowy. ⁉️ @cocokind tumeric tonic: i really enjoy tumeric in products, but still am unsure about this one. i have used this in my AM & PM routine, but didn’t really see any noticeable difference on breakouts. it is also a rollerball, which I am not a huge fan of. i am going to continue to test it out! ⭐️ @byroe_official better green essence toner*: really enjoy the idea of an essence + toner! i never really used an essence in my routine because I didn’t think it was necessary, but this is so hydrating! i use it my PM routine after cleansing and I find that it really preps my skin for my serums & moisturizer! ⁉️ @habitskin spf 41 mister*: absolutely LOVE the idea of a spf mister... it’s genius tbh. it sprays on pretty evenly and light, however it does makes me look a bit oily. I think it’s perfect for pool days & days where I am wearing minimal makeup, but not sure that I would use daily. ⭐️ @cocokind texture smoothing cream: light weight moisturizers are my go-to for combo skin & this is perfect! i mostly use this in my PM routine as a last step & it really does a nice job of locking everything in. ⭐️ @farmacybeauty daily greens moisturizer*: this is another great lightweight gel moisturizer! while i enjoy using it in my AM routine, I think I still like honey drop more. I like using this on no makeup days. it keeps me looking matte and fresh!

Anyone else as OBSESSED with Herbivore products?
HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin HERBIVORE - Phoenix Rosehip Anti-Aging Face Oil for Dry Skin HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum HERBIVORE - Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist HERBIVORE - Orchid Facial Oil HERBIVORE - PINK CLOUD Rosewater Moisture Creme HERBIVORE - Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment This brand holds a special place in my heart because it was the first brand I used when I started my skincare journey. This was also the first brand who’s products showed me significant results in a short amount of time. I absolutely adore ALL of their oils and have recently been obsessed with their Moon Fruit Night Treatment. All of their oils are lightweight and serve different purposes but they all hydrate skin so well! I’m on my 3rd-4th bottle of each oil and have no plans on stopping! One of their newest products (not pictured here) is a cleanser that is now my fav cleanser! It’s called the HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser and it works so well at cleaning my skin and controlling blemishes. This brand is on the pricier side but they are so worth it! 🐰🌱 All of their products are vegan and cruelty-free and have no additives!
Blackheads and Bumpy texture who?? 😍✨
This post is for anyone who wants to get rid of blackheads and textural irregularities!! Quickly dropping these two Ingredients today for anyone who has Blackheads and Rough, bumpy texture - Azelaic acid and Salicylic acid (Beta Hydroxy Acid AKA BHA) 😍 Since the start of my skincare journey I had these two issues along with hyperpigmentation, a lot of dead skin and clogged pores! I look at these two as my 'Skin Reviving Ingredients' ☺️✨ They truly get rid of any skin texture you have and will give you that glass skin! Also anybody who has blackheads or excessive oily skin that cause clogged pores, sebaceous filaments you should use this powerful combination of Ingredients. Both Azelaic acid and Salicylic acid do different things but they on one ground take care of skin texture, clogged pores and oily skin. I find the combination of these two quite gentle and not so irritating. But when incorporating these two together you always should take a patch test. I use @naturium Azelaic topical acid 10% NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% and @naturium BHA liquid exfoliant 2% NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% I really like these two, they both have a great formula. BHA is that slippery liquid, a water toner which doesn't make your skin oily. Azelaic acid is a clear slightly thick consistency which is thin and gets absorbed in skin quickly. ✨HOW I USE THESE: I use both of these products in the morning. -After my shower, I prep my skin with @paulaschoice Pore reducing toner PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner - Then apply @naturium BHA liquid exfoliation NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% - Then I layer @naturium Azelaic acid NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% - Apply moisturizer (Currently I'm using @herbivore Pink Cloud moisturizer) HERBIVORE - PINK CLOUD Rosewater Moisture Creme - Lastly Sunscreen. I use @tula Daily SPF 30 TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 This routine has given me a really soft, smooth skin. It helps in keeping my blackheads at bay as well as these both (Azelaic acid + BHA) helps with my Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation / Dark spots! If you have any questions, ask me in the comments below 😊❤️✨ Happy Skincare!!

Empties - will I repurchase?
I complied them all together, my empties over the last few months, and will split into two posts. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads I love these for the convenience. They are daily treatments pads with lactic and glycolic acids to safely exfoliate the skin, helping it appear brighter and approve texture. I was able to use these daily if I wished but being I use a retinol I didn’t use them on the night I would use my retinol. For me, they didn’t pack enough punch. I’ve been using a lot one my face over the last few years and while I still have to be careful, I find there are products that just don’t do it for me. These would be great for beginners or those with sensitive skin. 60 pads for $34 - again I liked the convenience but I feel you get more bang for your buck with a liquid exfoliate cause I sure get more then 60 uses out of mine. ⭐️No-repurchase CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Solution Set I’ve reviewed this before so I am not going to go into details. Please check my page if you’re looking for more info on it. I really do love the serum but I find I like the results I get from using a vitamin c and exfoliating. I need more than just a brightening solution as I have some scaring. The serum in this set is so very good for its brightening abilities. I went through three sets before giving it up. I do notice my face is not as glowy but I’m not sure if that’s from me being a bit more lazy with my skincare routine or from missing this. We’ll see. ⭐️Possible- repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi Not my favorite but is a good moisturizer. I’ve also reviewed this before. I prefer their Superfood Whip Moisturizer over this as I just like the texture and it’s a great daytime moisturizer for me. More in-depth review on my page ⭐️No-repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial I’ve reviewed this twice now so please see my page. Thais will be a forever purchase as of now! Definitely a fave of mine. I use once a week. ⭐️ repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask same as the last. I’ve purchased three so far. My favorite night time moisturizer. More in-depth reviews on my page ⭐️repurchase Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum this formula has changed as it had an ingredient that was bad. I have went through 3 original minis and loved the results but won’t repurchase due to the formula change. I saw almost instant results in spots being lifted. I have now switched to their Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment and it works just as good. I’m continuing to work on stubborn acne spots and when I am consistent with this and exfoliating, my scars and spots are almost invisible! ⭐️repurchase Invisiscar ❤️🍒
Sephora Picks! Include SPF & an a ACNE fighter
Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 $34 This is by far the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. It’s invisible, weightless, DOES NOT PILL, scentless and leaves my skin feeling absolutely ready for makeup or looking fresh for the day if I go without. It blends out those small imperfections for a flawless look. I just love how velvety (silicone) it feels. Murad - Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment $23 I first got this with a subscription box and I am glad I did. I don’t get a lot of breakouts but when I do, they sure are pesky. Usually around the time of the month or if I binged on sugar. And so every once and awhile I get this nasty rager that pops up and says, I”m here for the party and I ain’t going anywhere, biotches!!” 🍾 🎉 Seriously it’s takes them weeks to go away! Cause I have broke my habit of picking! 🥇 sure they “may possibly” go away quicker but then I’ll have months of servitude spent trying to get rid of the scar! 👩⚕️ Murad - Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment has helped tremendously with those small whiteheads even some of the bigger breakouts. It seriously cuts the time in half. My daughter who gets more day to day breakouts won’t live without it. And she’s been on prescription topical to keep her skin clear. I also like to add Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment $35 I’ve only just started using it but I plan to use it over any acne scar I have and will report back. AND.... I also have enjoyed using Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum which can only now be purchased online on their site and various others— it’s no longer available at Sephora or Ulta. $25/$76 Hope you all were able to enjoy the sale. I got some great gifts this season? Would you like to see? Let me know and I’ll share them with you through the week. Much love @cheriefamily 🍒😘

Hey y’all! After double cleansing each night and toning with rose water I alternate between the: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum and insta natural - Retinol Serum THEN apply my moisturizer: HONEST - Hydrogel Cream Great combination! Honest and insta natural are more budget friendly skincare. The Biossance is pricier. I like to find a good balance in my budget for skincare!
Lactic Acid for beginners
What is lactic acid? Lactic acid is a type of Aloha Hydroxy acids (AHAs) and are found in many foods but commonly found in dairy. In skincare lactic acids are true multi-tasker: stimulate the exfoliation of the skin by breaking down the bonds between skin cells, promote cellular renewal and increase turnover rates in the epidermis, increase ceramides in the skin protective barrier — increase after retention, prevent congestion and reduces pigmentation. Holy Guacamole! Can it pick up my dry cleaning? When it comes to looking for the best lactic acids for you, you should be looking at the percentage of acids in the product and and the pH level of the formula— for home care products should be about 10% or less with pH around 3.0-4.0. Since it is an all a round gentle and effective AHA, it is sage for all skin types; specifically for more matured, acne prone and sensitive skin. ✅ DO: use at night on cleansed skin before oils, and moisturizer. Allow a few minutes for the product to sink into the skin before continuing with your regimen. 🛑 DON’T: Mix AHAs and Retinol According to popsugar.com - you do not want to mix lactic acids, salicylic acids, and glycolic acids with retinol based product one right after the other especially if you have more reactive or sensitive skin. There are a couple of set backs: - if overused or used improperly can cause skin irritation— skin peeling and redness - sensitivity to the sun, so use your SPF! The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA This is an amazing and affordable Lactic acid for skincare newbies and enthusiasts alike. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and I am in love!! I can see a significant reduction in my pigmentation— sun spots and acne scars. Yay!! This lactic acid and HA blend has PH 3.60 - 3.80. Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰 Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Other lactic acids favs: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment TATA HARPER - Resurfacing Serum Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful.
A few products I’ve been testing (new)
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil Best all over oil! Such a rich, nourishing product. I have a separate review of this where I go more in-depth YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner This toner is so gentle yet efficient! Bright, toned skin! I’ve been using one by OleHenriksen that I would say is comparable but I much prefer the YTTP. It just leaves my skin so soft and glowing. It is recommended you only use this 2-3 times a week as it’s strong! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask Best overnight moisturizing mask ever! An absolute favorite! Again, I have a separate review of this! I think this one is a must for everyone!!! TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener Luxe! Love this essence. I’ve noticed brighter, plumper skin since using. My face is looking so healthy since adding this to my routine. Definitely a keeper! TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser My favorite physical exfoliant. Gentle enough to use every day. I am in love with this! I typically am not a fan of physical exfoliates as my face can be sensitive but this is nothing like what I’ve tried before. A dime size covers my entire face and the exfoliating products in it I can feel but are super gentle. No sand or grit feel at all. And I love that I can use this safely as a daily cleanser FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya Still currently testing this one out/on the fence. Sometimes it works really well for me and other times, not so much. I am not a fan of the tacky feeling it leaves so I don’t think this will be a repurchase for me. I much prefer Honey Drop or even Better Daze Ahead #CherieCreator
FARMACY-Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya
A little late but sharing my top 10 (*11*) everyday go to products that I will repurchase going forward! . . herbivore botanicals has really won me over this past year. Their facial oils are some of the best I’ve put on my face, can’t go without the lapis in any routine! I’m also surprised at how much I love the jasmine green tea toner. drunk elephant is another brand that won over my heart this past year. I’ve learned that my skin only likes c-firma compared to any other vitamin C serum I’ve tried to introduce. TLC framboos has literally evened my skin out so much I only wish I had started using it sooner. Also surprised at how much I’ve fallen for the b-hydra. I didn’t think it was going to be a love, but when I didn’t have it to mix with the others I really missed it! (Especially now with the a-passioni, I love having it to mix). farmacy honeymoon glow I’ve been alternating in on nights when I don’t use TLC framboos when I need a little something extra. It’s stronger than TLC but also moisturizing at the same time, and the glow when you wake up is real! indie lee COQ-10 toner was forgotten for a minute, and when I brought it back into my routine my skin LOVED it. It’s moisturizing and balancing and is a nice refreshing toner I enjoy in the mornings. good science beauty the 001 purifying cream is a must. I use it in the morning after my c-firma/b-hydra mix and usually mix my oils in with it. My skin has been staying clear since I’ve added it! krave last but definitely not least... the matcha hemp cleanser quickly became one of my favorite cleansers. It’s gentle and hydrating, but my skin feels so clean after using it! . .

Morning skincare routine
I’ve been trying this Mini Indie Lee cleanser for the past 3 days and I’m obsessed ! It smells so good and it’s super gentle for my super sensitive skin. The rest of the products have been my fav for my before makeup or no makeup days! I use the cleanser first, for 60 seconds, and then spritz with the Murad Probiotic Mist! (I use it as my toner.) I’ve been using it for about 2 months and been loving it for my dry skin. Next it’s the Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum, I’ve gone through 3 bottles of this stuff 😳 I always use it in the morning after I cleanse or before I apply my makeup! It makes me so glory and dewy and makes my skin so bright! I have acne scars & some dark spots so this helps brighten them up and I feel like it moisturizes my skin a bit! And last I have been using the Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50 moisturizer , I like it a lot! I’ve been through 3 of these small tubes lol! But I just don’t know if I like how thick it is, I’m usually a gel formula kind of girl but I’ve been trying to get into a thicker cream for my dry skin! But it defiantly is great at protecting my skin from the sun and makes a great makeup base.

💛 hadalabotokyo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion. This is everything promised and more! A bit confusing at first, luckily a lot of people here helped me out! Wet your face, I like to spray with my Herbivore rose Spray take a small amount and rub all over. Then pat the product in all over your face. It feels weird at first but it’s kinda fun to slap yourself! The next morning my skin is so bouncy and hydrated that I skip most of my morning routine. 🧡 herbivorebotanicals Phoenix Oil. This might unseat Juno as my favorite oil. Which is saying something cause I’ve tried A LOT of oils and nothing was better than Juno. Until now. Deeply nourishing and great for repairing irritated skin. And it’s so light! Juno is a very heavy oil, so I can’t always use it. Phoenix can be used anytime with almost anything! 💚 farmacy Green Clean. Hands down my favorite purchase from the sale. Gentle cleansing balm that effectively removes makeup. Skin is so soft after. I’ve even used this as a regular cleanser on non makeup days. It’s a fun shade of green with a Spicy citrus smell(kinda smells like my Indian grandmother’s house.) 🖤 jordansamuelskin Hydrating facial serum. My go to morning serum when I’m not using my DE C-Firma. It’s an aloe gel base, and contains Hyaluronic acid and a vitamin c derivative. So basically my three favorite things. 😂 I really want to try other things from his line now.

What did I bring...?
I haven’t traveled in over a year! And having to choose what to bring with out of all my skincare choices was hard! I knew I wanted to lay-off the actives/chemicals as I’d be out in the sun on the beach all week but I also wanted to still be able to treat my skin if any issues popped up. Then it was, do I bring a bunch of stuff to photograph? Nope! In the end I just ended up picking my favorites as well as those that were small and easy to pack. The most easy to choose were from Youth to the People. They have a great line that could take me from cleansing to moisturizing and not needing any other brand at all. But that wouldn’t be much fun! 😂 Some of the standouts are: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm to remove sunscreen YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - With Pride Minis Kit in here is the Superfood Cleanser. Also the exfoliating mask and Superberry mask if I feel I need them. Plus I got the black cosmetic bag to put all my skincare in! Perricone MD - Hypoallergenic CBD Sensitive Therapy Rebalancing Elixir I’ve been using this ever since I got it about two weeks ago now and LOVE it! My skin feels and looks so much healthier. I’m impressed! Medik8 - Full Lash & Brow Advanced Lash & Brow Serum I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live without this! I’m almost through my first one and I’ve had to trim my brows TWICE now! They are far from perfect but I’m hoping with continued use I’ll need less time filling them in. I’ve started to also notice a difference in my lashes. When I curl them they touch the top of my eyelid! (I’ve been using this for @ 6 weeks) FACETORY - FaceTory Oats Calming Glow Weightless Facial Oil I brought this one along not only for myself, just Incase (although I have 5 bottles of facial sunscreen!) but for my family who isn’t as persistent as me at reapplying. This will be great for dry, sunburn skin. Help calm and restore it. One of my favorites! I’ll be hoping to share more this week on some of the sunscreens and body products I brought with. I got hit with my monthly cycle and unfortunately my periods are very heavy and very painful. So these first two days so far have been a bust 🥴 although today and overcast out anyway. Much ❤️ my @cheriefamily 🍒 #CherieCreator

Where my homies at? 🙋♀️
Where my homies at? 🙋♀️ . Pictured are a few of my favorite products I am using right now. I tried to give a good variety from cleansers, toners, serums (actives), eye cream, moisturizers and oils. I forgot my essences which I have been using a lot of hydrating ones. . ———- Has your state/county started to lift restrictions? (WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED) We now have salons (hair and nail), gyms and pools open. And professional sports can play without spectators. This week, restaurants and some fast food places are beginning to open with a limit on customers as they must abide by social distancing regulations. My husband said one of the malls was opening this weekend as well. . Personally I can’t form an opinion on this. I haven’t listened to the news in a month. I’m hoping those in charge of making these decisions have carefully weighed the pros/cons and know what the hell they are doing. I fear still for our hospitals but again, I am not sure if our government feels we are more prepared. I try to stay away from the news as it causes a lot of anxiety for me. I seriously hope one day soon we will see the toilet paper isle fully stocked and feel like we quite possibly all were apart of a big prank! - seriously, we have not seen tp in months!!! And when my husband finally spotted paper towels - you know, the ones where you need the entire roll to clean up a mess - they wanted $10 for 2 cheap rolls! Ugh! . Blessings to you all! Stay safe and be well! 💚 #CherieCreator
