PM Acne-Prone Routine
A few minor pimples so I needed to do a good salicylic mask to help tame it.

AndreaZedI would move the ferulic acid to your morning routine. It’s an antioxidant and they protect the skin from free radicals. I pair it with vitamin C.

How to use Ascorbic Acid POWDER + my AM routine
Vitamin C will forever be part of my morning routine, because the 'before and afters' don't lie!! I experimented with a number of AM routines and different vit C serums from The Ordinary before landing on their The Ordinary - 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder Ascorbic Acid is pure vitamin C in its most potent, and also the most unstable form. It is incredibly difficult to formulate serums with L-Ascorbic Acid, which is why TO offers it in a powder form to slow/prevent its oxidation. You are meant to mix it with a liquid only as you need it. Don't worry, it dissolves in water based serums almost instantly and does not feel gritty! My "before" photo is from a little over a month ago, and my "after" was taken today (Nov 20) after using the ascorbic acid powder daily for 1 month! Both taken in the same room, same lighting, zero makeup. In addition to improving texture and decreasing breakouts, the difference it made in my pigmentation and skin tone is incredible! This is my AM routine and directions on how to properly use a pure powdered form of Ascorbic Acid. After cleansing, I add 1/2 a scoop of The Ordinary - 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder into my palm (start with only 1/4 of the supplied scoop until your skin adjusts). Then I add 2 drops of The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5and 2 drops of The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5. You're aiming for about a 20% concentration of vit C. Mix with a finger until the powder is fully dissolved then apply evenly over face and neck, avoiding eye area. It is advised to use additional antioxidants with vitamin C in order to minimize oxidation and increase its effectiveness. Therefore I immediately follow up with 2 or 3 drops of The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% I then apply an oil to moisturize. I currently use about 3 drops ofThe Ordinary - 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil and sometimes mix with a couple drops of The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalaneif I need a moisture boost. (Feel free to use any moisturizer that you prefer, as long as it doesn't contain actives that conflict with Ascorbic acid.) The last step is always, always, always sunscreen! I use thinksport - Everyday Face Sunscreenspf 30 which I tint to match my own skin tone (see my previous diy post for this). Then proceed with makeup (or not). Some additional notes: Keep powder closed, away from sunlight, and DRY. Don't even open it in a humid bathroom after a shower! If it oxidizes, toss it immediately. It mixes most easily in water based serums, but can be added to other serum or moisturizer which it does not conflict with (consult TO's regimen guide). Mix only what you need per application, don't pre-mix a batch. And start out slowly since it does tingle/sting a bit. I hope this is helpful, but don't hesitate to ask me if you have additional questions. Thanks for reading!
The Ordinary’s Affordable Vitamin C 🍊
💡 I have to say that my journey with vitamin C has been a lot of trial and error. Trying to find an affordable product but that gives you results? A challenge! Let’s take a dive into these next three products, what I’ve learned, and see if they’re suitable for you 🤗 The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% We’ll start with one of the first VC’s I bought. High concentration and if you don’t have the tolerance, it will burn. Quite grainy but I honestly don’t mind too much because I put moisturizer on right after. I also use this at night - definitely not great under makeup. Overall, I like this product. It’s brightening and I felt like it did help with my PIH. The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% This is a VC derivative. This means it’s more stable - won’t oxidize quickly like the pure form L-Ascorbic Acid. I don’t hate this product, I just feel like it doesn’t do anything for me. Beginners? Sensitive Skin? Definitely start with derivatives, it’ll be gentler and won’t cause irritation like a pure form of VC. I used this one during the day. The Ordinary - 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder Finishing off the review with my favorite VC so far from TO! This is their pure L-Ascorbic Acid in powder form. I was so curious because I thought since it’s not liquid, it won’t oxidize as quickly as other pure form VC serums. And I was right! I honestly love this powder because I can mix it with whatever serum I want to boost its effect. Hyaluronic Acid, Alpha Arbutin, even just mixing the powder with your moisturizer! It’s that easy. CAUTION: this is very potent and has the potential to cause irritation. I go in with a hydrating toner first and use it at night (I use this maybe 1x a week). I recommend building up your tolerance first. Overall I’d say it’s worth it. It’s helped my PIH and I look bright and glowy the morning after! 🍊I still have a lot more VCs to go through to find my perfect day time one but for now, this is what I have. 💌 Drop some of your fave VCs down in the comment section - I’d love to try out your recommendations! 💓

BEST INGREDIENTS FOR ACNE
My favorite acne fighting/treating ingredients 🙌🏼 PC: Me (IG: @skinbymeegan)
😊Why I multi-mask 😊
First let me say, not all areas of your face need the same type of care, and attention. For me, my chin has broke out bad this week thanks to Aunt Flo. Anyway I needed a detox for my chin, while the rest of my face didn’t really need much, but I have dark spots I’m targeting with The Ordinary chemical peel. If I felt like my T-zone was oily or a little dry, I would have used 3 masks. The key is to listen to your skin! Normally I’d just use one mask, but my chin really needed something targeted for detox. Since I don’t have sensitive skin I left them on for 10 minutes before washing off. If you have sensitive skin use for 5 minutes, and always so a small patch test to make sure you won’t react. Also they make an acid neutralizer, that would be handy to have as a just Incase. Second, I use a calming face serum after. It really helps with any redness that might occurs from the masks (mind you redness is normal, just make sure that you use sunscreen because your skin will be more sensitive to sun) then i follow up with a vitamin C serum then I finish off with sunscreen. When I do a mask like this I really try to keep the after care simple, yet replenishing, and protecting. These are the products I used and why I choose them. First I wash, I double cleansed this time. I used youthificarion face wash, then the CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser I chose the youthification, simply because of the ingredients, all organic and it really helps my skin. Then I chose the cerave because it’s such a gentle cleanser for me and with the ingredients targeted for acne I’ll take all the help I can get. I used AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay on my chin and the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and I explained why above 😊 I finished with the youthification night serum for the calming properties of the ingredients. And the OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum and I use vitamin c because it helps even skin tone and brightens skin. Then I finished with the sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 I chose this sunscreen because it’s chemical, Not mineral. In short mineral sunscreen leaves the white cast on your face while the chemical sunscreen absorbs into your skin. And it pairs best with my products, I don’t get the pilling like I did with mineral sunscreen. (Pilling is when your products sort of roll into balls and off your skin.) If interested this is where I order my youthification products: https://youthificationskincare.com/

So far I am super happy with how my skin is looking! I started on January 6, and today is February 16. The end of my 90 days will be either at the end of March or at the beginning of April, so I’m about halfway there. The struggle for me right now is that my skin changes day to day. One day I will wake up with lots of cystic pimples, and one dat, like today, my skin will have none. I definitely still have dark marks, but I’m okay with that for now! As long as they aren’t active I am happy lol. I still seem to get acne flares on my period, which is discouraging considering Spironolactone is for hormonal acne. I’m just trying to trust the process🧐 I realized that I haven’t talked about my daily morning and night routine, so here it is! Morning: -cleanse with either PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser or CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser -moisturize with either PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream or FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate -apply spf with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 -my makeup routine At night: -remove makeup with DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil -cleanse with CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser -moisturize with FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate -apply a pea sized amount of .025% Tretinoin formula from Apostrophe - Topical Formula -and of course some Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant on my lips before bed!
another two bite the dust ✌🏻
Two more empties: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray I’ve already reviewed this toner on my previous post. I like the sprayer aspect but the formula is just meh. Nothing to write home about. I’ll keep the spray bottle to reuse again but probably won’t repurchase this toner in the near future. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil The smell was a little weird at first, think olive oil, but overall the consistency and the way it felt being massaged into my skin won me over. I loved this product but will not be repurchasing due to the backlash the brand is receiving due to racist comments made by the brand’s creator. As consumers, we are powerful. We have the power to perpetuate wealth for creators. We vote with our wallets. I will not continue to support or buy a brand that has questionable ethics. I have instead chosen to purchase THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm as it’s replacement! Have you tried these products? What do you think? Do ethics play in to which brands you purchase from? Let me know ☺️

Ok guys if you been following me my bumps are starting to dry up and now I have dark spots. My right side is completely healed and the left is my trouble side. After seeing my dermatologist for my follow up appointment she went up on the dose of the retinoid I use at night. If you are wondering my routine this is what I'm using. Also go look at my old pics to see where I started from. Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask I love this as it dries out my bumps LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I use this at night and love how it's super light CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion light way and keeps face moisturizer at night elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I use the tinted version now great for black girls only in the morning and I do two fingers when I apply it The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I just started using it super light weight. I started as a suggestion to help purging. Haven't told my dermatologist I'm using it but it has made the bumps on the right side calm down so so far so good. I'll update this to five stars after I have enough data to support if it really works.CeraVe - Healing Ointment I use when I experience dryness from the winter. A lot goes a long way .
Adult acne update round 2
I have just finished my 2 month round of antibiotics, and boy was it rough but the look at my skin! Scarring isn’t great, but that can’t be tackled till acne is officially gone. I haven’t gotten any new cystic acne bumps and I’m using the same products NEOSTRATA - Foaming Glycolic Wash Clindamycin wipes elta md SKINCARE - UV Elements Broad-Spectrum SPF 44 And when my skin is extremely dry CeraVe - Healing Ointment I have my next dermatologist appointment in a month and we’re then focusing on scarring, fingers crossed my skin stays clear!

CeraVe Facial Mosituriser: Sunscreen and Lotion!
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽♀️ I started using CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin four weeks ago. I needed a new day cream as I had completed a 3 month trial using Auquest 5 Second Wrinkle Cream. I posted my results in January so if you want to know more check out my previous post. ☺️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin was highly recommended here so, Cherie 🍒 made me buy it! Although it’s for normal to dry skin, it also works well for people with skin conditions, like psoriasis. I suffer from psoriasis. 🙃 I have combination skin which is more on the oily side but I really wanted to give CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin a try as it’s recommended by dermatologists. CeraVe was developed by dermatologists and uses a patented formulation to protect the skin barrier. The Company call the formulation, Multivesicular Emulsion Technology. It’s ensures CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin will be time released throughout the day for complete hydration. It also uses three different ceramides which help retain water 💧 and strengthen and repair the skin barrier. My thoughts 💭 🧚♀️ It’s fragrance free, no parabens and non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores), ✅ which is great since I have larger than average pores 🙃 🧚♀️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin has an SPF 15 with broad spectrum protection and can be classed as a secondary sunscreen in Australia. An SPF15 can block 93.3% of UVR compared to SPF30 which blocks 97%. So technically I feel I could use it as my sunscreen but, because I’m 45, I like to apply an SPF30. ☺️ 🧚♀️ It has a nice lightweight texture and easily absorbs into your skin. I didn’t purge when I added it to my day routine! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 🧚♀️ My skin loves this cream, it feels smoother and softer and it keeps my skin hydrated 💦 all day. 🧚♀️ It retails for $22 in Australia 🇦🇺 I love the price point! Although I’ve only been using it for a month, I’m giving CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 4 stars!!!! It’s ticked a lot of boxes for me but as it’s only my initial review I didn’t want to give it too much Kudos. I’m loving it and feel a little sad as I have a new GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Creamthat I’d like to trial after the CeraVe. But, I don’t really want to swap it out. 😂😂😂 I guess that’s the Dilemma of being a Creator. I don’t always keep using what’s working because I like to review new products. 🙃 Let me know if you tried the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin and if it worked for you. I’d love to hear from you. Have a wonderful day! Jade ☺️
Just wanted to share my journey struggling with acne. Growing up I had perfect clear skin, no acne whatsoever, was comfortable going in public with no makeup on and I had a perfect complexion until I graduated high school and I started breaking out. I used to call it, puberty but backwards lol. I tried everything and nothing worked on me. I even tried changing my diet and stopped eating dairy and meat all in one but still, nothing changed. I even drank more water and that didn’t do anything either. I started watching Dr. Dray on YouTube about a couple years ago and I feel like she’s changed my routine. She says less is more and I swear by that. Remember: what works for me may not work for you. My skin is no where near perfect, but I’m extremely happy with how far I’ve come 🤍 Morning Routine: - (I try to wash my face once a day. Usually wash with only water in the morning) Sometimes I use Panoxyl if I’m breaking out. COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (On damp skin) The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisture CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 Night Time Routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin When I first started my skincare journey, I mainly started out small using cleanser, moisturizer and SPF then slowly incorporated these serums into my routine. I started using products with no fragrance in them and I feel like that helped my skin out a lot. Also, I highly recommend watching Dr. Dray on YouTube!

Florence by Mills skincare- Is it worth it?
Florence by mills, let’s talk about it. I did not hate these products, but for all my girlies (and guys) who have acne, this won’t help. The face wash simply isn’t formulated for acne prone skin. All of the products made my skin feel refreshed and hydrated, but while I was using it, I just wasn’t seeing any sort of results. I sort of assumed that this would happen since most celebrity skincare is bogus, but I honestly think that this set is a great refresher. florence by mills - Clean Magic Face Wash One thing that bothers me about this product is that is doesn’t show you all of the ingredients. But the ingredients that they do show you, are just mediocre. Ferulic Acid- This ingredient is used to smooth out fine lines and reduce the appearance of spots, which is great, but I would recommend using this in a serum form which is more concentrated than in this face wash. I would also recommend using the serum with Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% Ellagic Acid- This is an antioxidant that is found in many fruits, vegetables, and nuts. It is said to help protect the skin and it’s barrier. It can also help brighten the skin and improve pigmentation. Again I would recommend using this in a face cream or oil rather than in a face wash. Mad Hippie - Antioxidant Facial Oil It also mentions a “Oil-Balancing Blend” in its ingredients, but while using it, it didn’t help combat my oily skin. florence by mills - Dreamy Dew Moisturizer I actually really liked this moisturizer, when you put it on you felt refreshed. It was a nice thick moisturizer which would be good for someone with dry-normal skin. I also loved that it didn’t make my skin feel greasy after using it. Let’s look at the ingredients. Willow bark extract- This is basically a more natural form of salicylic acid. It helps reduce inflammation and it is antibacterial. Lotus Flower Blend- This product helps improve elasticity and reduces wrinkles. It also has other effects if ingested... for example, if can make you feel high lol. I don’t suggest eating it! Vitamin B12- This is a great ingredient, it helps improve fatigued skin. I personally take this in pill form along with my other daily vitamins florence by mills - Lily Jasmine Zero Chill Face Mist I loved this spray, let’s see what’s in it... Thyme extract- Thyme extract is well known for its antibacterial properties, meaning this ingredient helps to fight acne and clear your skin. I don’t know about anyone else, but all this product did for me was give a nice cooling effect and did not help my acne. Bladderwrack seaweed- This ingredient is an effective antioxidant for the skin. It is best used as an extract pulled form the seaweed as used in this product. This spray smelt delicious and felt wonderful on my skin. Overall I would rate this skincare set 5/10! The ingredients are only mediocre, and won’t help or hurt your skin.
These are the ordinary products I use in my routine so far..... The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% I sometimes use this as extra antioxidant protection after my morning routine. I don’t notice that much of a difference with my skin but it can’t hurt and I like the texture and feel it leaves on my skin. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I use this every night after my night cream for extra moisture and to help with acne scarring. I’ve heard it helps so much with scarring. I’m also adding The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%to my routine soon to help with scarring and hyperpigmentation as well. I love the rosehip oil for extra moisture and my skin feels so smooth in the morning. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use this twice a week and I’ve been faithfully using it for 3 months and I’m just now seeing a difference. I almost gave up but everyone has sworn by this so I thought it couldn’t hurt to stick with it. It tingles and I used to leave it on for the full 10 min and now with the extra acne products I’m using my skin is a little more sensitive so I leave it on for 5-6 minutes. Definitely wake up with baby smooth skin the next morning. I’m hoping to see results with my old acne scars too.

Empties September- December 2020
These are some of my empties from the last few months. Here’s my quick review of them and whether I plan to repurchase: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer My go-to moisturizer during the summer and got me through til September. I did a longer review of this on my page if you would like to read. Would I repurchase: Yes; and I plan to when it warms up again! FIRST AID BEAUTY - 5 in 1 Eye Cream Also did a review of this. It was hard to say if it did much, and therefore I don’t have much to speak of. Would I repurchase: No; there’s other eye creams on the market I prefer with a similar price, if not cheaper. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo A cult favorite scalp scrub, and I see what the hype was as it definitely cleaned my scalp as a weekly refresher. I bought the 1oz size for $11 and was able to get about a month and a half worth of use from it (using it once a week). Would I repurchase: Probably not; the full size version is $42 and there are much more affordable scalp scrubs and clarifying products that give you similar results. boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer I bought this to replace my hydroboost moistuizer as the seasons changed. I also did a longer review of this in comparison with Neutrogena as they’re both gel moisturizers. Would I repurchase: No; I wasn’t a fan of the tackiness and it didn’t seem worth the price point. fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer Fresh is one of those brands that is definitely pricey, but it shows in the quality of their products. You’re paying for a more luxurious feeling, and this moisturizer worked really well with both my oily skin, and the cold weather. Would I repurchase: Yes, and I already did! I got the full size version in the holiday set they had with their rose toner (which I also love). Not Pictured: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner A solid, affordable toner. Check my page to read my full review of it. Would I repurchase: Yes; a great toner to have in my arsenal during the warmer months. Ayele&Co. - Sunflower sweets serum My go-to face oil (it’s called a serum but really it’s a face oil). I’ve been using this for years and it’s become a staple in my nighttime routine. This is compatible with oily, acne prone skin, and I truly think it’s helped my skin’s oil production level out. It helps seal in moisture overnight, and I think it’s given my skin a nice inner glow. Would I repurchase: Yes! Always! I cannot recommend this oil enough, especially if you have oily skin. Here’s to a new year and new beauty finds!
Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Toner
HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner I tried using the Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Spray as a toner, and it was great until it got even colder and my skin got drier. I decided to try the Toner version of it and it’s definitely more moisturizing! I really like it so far. It had Hyaluronic acid in it for extra moisture and is alcohol and oil free. It also has Glycerin and Organic Aloe Vera. The directions say to use a cotton round but I just put it on my hands (carefully) and kind of just slap it on my face. I think this may be my go to toner for the winter time.

Before and Afters still in progress....
I truly don’t like doing before and afters especially when it looks like there’s barely any progress but I promise you my skin FEELS so much better than it looks and I’ve seen some amazing progress! I’ve tagged the products I feel have helped the most recently. It takes patience but little progress is still PROGRESS 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

New Drug Store Faves from Versed Skincare
Enjoying some of my latest goodies from @versed . So far I'm loving the Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution and the Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel. Have you tried anything from Versed? What should I try next? *Gifted Products: VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum VERSED - VACATION EYES Brightening Eye Gel VERSED - Guards Up Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 VERSED - Silk Slip Conditioning Lip Oil
Favorite Lip Product!
The aesthetically pleasing packaging from Versed always catches my eye while I’m strolling at Target, and I’ve been on the hunt for some good lip products lately since my lips tend to get exceptionally dry in the fall and winter! I decided to see what the Versed lip oil and conditioner is all about, and I snagged it last month. I have been highly impressed with this product, and my lips have improved tremendously in regards to dryness. They have been much more hydrated and conditioned. This product is packed with oils that sink into the lips to hydrate them and is very long lasting. The texture is a combination between a balm and a gloss producing the perfect balance. Some of the ingredients include camellia oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, sunflower seed oil, and sesame oil. I love that it’s not sticky at all, and you can apply in layers as needed. I use the clear option, but there are also tinted colors available in shades Ruby, Fig, and Blossom. Just squeeze a little out of the tube, swipe on your lips, and you’re good to go! Re-apply as needed. It is vegan, non toxic, and cruelty free and made for all skin types. It retails for $10 at Target! I will continue to purchase this product! Skincare routine thoughts?
Hi everyone! I’m new to cherie and I’m absolutely loving what I’m seeing on here with all the advice, support and tips & tricks!! I have always been pretty interested in skincare but I guess not interested enough since I know a lot less than I thought I did 😂 I just recently started using the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser and I absolutely love it! It’s not over-drying or stripping at all and it makes my face feel super clean and truly feel like it’s gotten all the gunk off. I double cleanse so I have also recently been using the dermalogica - Skin Resurfacing Cleanser I have been using the BURT’S BEES - Rosewater Toner for YEARS, like since I was about 13 or 14, and I think it’ll always be a holy grail product of mine but I’ve been using it for so long and I feel like I need a change! Next is the pixi - Glow Tonic which I also love but have heard mixed reviews about recently and am now rethinking whether the The Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner is better and for a much cheaper price? Another product I’ve been using is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil and I bought it to use for my acne scars which I have seen some minor improvement in but I haven’t been using the product as often as I probably should so that’s probably why! Oils aren’t my favourite thing bc I just don’t like the way they feel on my face, especially at night bc it just gets all over my pillow lol I’ve also tried the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oat & Hemp Seed Dry Oil and it feels about the same Next is the AROMATICA - Calendula Juicy Cream which I literally just started using but it hasn’t made me break out or given me an allergic reaction, I like the smell and the way it feels on my skin! CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion is the absolute best cream I have tried and I have nothing bad to say about it! It makes my skin feel so soft and it’s never made me break out and it’s just an all around great product So here’s the thing, I have super dry skin on only my nose where it literally peels off in chunks (gross, i know, i’m sorry) and no matter how much I exfoliate and use products for dry skin, it doesn’t get better or go away and it’s something I’m really insecure about bc no moisturizer helps it either & I’ll just have flakes of skin on my nose throughout the day and people have pointed it out & it’s so awful :( another problem I have is the pores on my nose, forehead and chin & my skin is acne prone/combination/sensitive All recommendations and advice are welcome and appreciated!! 💘
AROMATICA- Calendula Juicy Cream
simple PM routine for sensitive, dry, & acne
PM skincare routine: 1. Cleansing oil applied to dry skin 2. Wash off oil and apply cream cleanser in shower 3. Apply toner with cotton round 4. Dispense two drops of niacinamide & zinc serum into hand and smooth into face 5. Apply moisturizing cream 6. Finish with hemi-squalane I use the Ordinary’s lactic acid 5% + HA between steps 3&4 2-3 times a week and sometimes I’ll do a moisturizing sheet mask between steps 4&5 about once a week 😊
The Ordinary-100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane
My current skincare routine consists of CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser, then up&up - Deep Cleaning Pore Treatment at night, then Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil, and finishing it off at CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin. I want to add The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%into my routine but I'm not sure where it fits in or how to apply the product. I am new to serums like that. Any recommendations? All and any input is wanted!! Thank you.
CeraVe-Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
☀️SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR SUMMER☀️
STEP 1: CLEANSER: I have been using the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin for a few months now and I would say it has helped my oil production and clogged pores. It cleanses my skin without overly stripping it, which I love! I will occasionally switch it up by using the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser but both are amazing cleansers! STEP 2: TONER: I have been using theCOSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner for 6 months+ and I am now on my 2nd bottle! It is very gentle and is not too drying! I will say that I have not seen to much of a change in my skin because I use this so this is completely optional! STEP 3: SERUM: I just recently started using the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and so far I LOVE IT!! It really has minimized my pores and just is a great product overall! I also sometimes use theThe Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA to help my scars, or I will use both! Both are amazing and I highly recommend! STEP 4: MOISTURIZER: I recently started using facetheory - Amil C Whip Moisturizer Unscented as it was recommended to me by my friend@skinfluencer(go check her out for AWESOME recommendations!!) It provides an amazing amount of moisture while being super lightweight! Some of my other favorite moisturizers are CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin or primera - Alpine Berry Water Cream ( I would give 5 stars but has light fragrance)! I also occasionally will put The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil on my face after moisturizing for some extra hydration and glow! STEP 5: SUNSCREEN: I have been using theETUDE - UV Double Cut Fresh Sun Gel SPF50+ for almost 1 year now and I love it! It does have fragrance but I just love how lightweight and refreshing it is! It also gives additional glow which I really enjoy! My other favorite is Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 it is very thin and feels like nothing and is completely fragrance free! Both give no white cast and are my all time favorites! STEP 6: EXTRAS: I really enjoy being super glowy during summertime and using the Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid and LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm are the perfect things to add a little glow to your summertime routine and would highly recommend both! I have combo skin with acne scars but this routine has been helping my skin out a lot! My routine does vary depending on rather it’s more dry, textured, etc. Everyone’s skin is different but I hope this helps and just remember you are beautiful and your skin does not define you ;)
