Average A Passioni

I really really wanted to like this because it seems like everyone loves it but I found it very meh. It’s yellow tinted (see second picture) so you really have to rub it in for the color to disappear. It also has a chemical scent to it that in combo with the color is a little off putting. Obviously I can’t speak to the results yet because I haven’t been using it for 4-6 months but I haven’t had any redness or flakiness which is promising because I have sensitive skin! Overall, would not repurchase. I don’t think it’s worth the price ($74). It is considered clean at Sephora, which is an important distinction! Especially for retinol products. Products to Mix for Aging Skin
🐘 Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream -A 1% retinol (which is pretty dang strong for an over the counter) to speed up cell turnover and minimize signs of aging that also contains plumping peptides so form the skin and antioxidant rich ingredients such as winter cherry juice, kale leaf extract, and marula see oil to brighten and nourish 🐘 Drunk Elephant B Hydra -A hydrating gel serum containing humectants such as hyaluronic acid and pro vitamin B5 to draw in moisture and plump the skin as well as ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier. 🐘 I love these two together because retinol while an amazing ingredient can definitely be a little bit drying for some. B Hydra helps work as a buffer when mixed A Passioni and minimizes dryness and irritation while delivering hydration. I also am not a huge fan of the texture of A Passioni so mixing it with B Hydra really makes the texture more palatable for me. And the best thing about Drunk Elephant is that because they don’t use silicones any of their products can be mixed and applied in one step.

A-Passioni by Drunk Elephant❤️
❤️This is A-Passioni Retinol Cream by Drunk Elephant. It is meant to increase skin cell turnover which helps with fine lines and breakouts. 🐘I have sensitive combo skin with hormonal breakouts and WOW. Although this is a strong retinol and did give me some peeling at first, this is such a game changer. 💕I find this helped me get rid of a lot of acne scars as well as decreased my breakout healing time. It also prevents breakouts from happening for me. ☀️The key to this is to incorporate small amounts very slowly and build your way up to regular use. This can cause peeling and skin purging for a few weeks but it is worth it! I’m seeing parts of my face clear that I haven’t seen that way in probably a year or two. 🐘I use with a lot of hydrating products afterwards including a moisturizer and facial oil. I find this also pairs nicely with occasional exfoliation. 💕This has a ton of ingredients in it (I mean a TON) so that’s why I’m giving it 4 rather than 5 stars because there’s no way they are all necessary. I would repurchase though! DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream

The Drunk Elephant Protini Moi
The Drunk Elephant Protini Moisturizer is a favorite of mine. I like to use this as a morning moisturizer. I find it to be very hydrating but light enough to use during the day, I still prefer something thicker at night. A little goes a long way so the product lasts a very long time, I also love to bring this onto my neck and I can go about my day without my neck feeling sticky or looking greasy. My skin is plump and brighter while consistantly using this product! I think dry or oily skin, this would work for anyone! I also love that this is unscented so it works really well for my sensitive skin. 5/5 ⭐️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer

‘Product Of The Year’ - drunk
‘Product Of The Year’ - drunk elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. . This was the first DrunkElephant product I purchased on the day of the UK launch and has fast become my favourite of their entire line (and a top 3 product in my entire stash!). Protini is a gel-cream that aims to soothe + strengthen skin, support barrier function, promote collagen synthesis and improve elasticity. The Growth Factors and Peptides piqued my interest as despite being relatively young, persistent acne has definitely affected collagen in certain areas (cheeks and chin), where I have some textural issues and ice pick scarring. Obviously, topical products won’t improve the atrophic scarring, but it doesn’t hurt to try improve their appearance, even with temporary plumping. . INCI: Really impressive formula that includes Growth Factors (benefits range from wound healing, to stimulating fibroblast cell growth and collagen and elastin synthesis), Signal Peptides (reduces inflammation in the skin, improves elasticity/skin tone/fine lines, promotes collagen synthesis, etc), and an impressive blend of amino acids (improve hydration, skin resilience, smoothness and reduce inflammation). If that wasn’t good enough, the formula is rich in humectants such as Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA and PCA and also contains Linoleic (Omega 6) and Linolenic (Omega 3) Fatty Acids in their free form (not commonly found in lots of products) - both excellent at supporting barrier function. Overall, a super-soothing formula that covers all angles and rather revolutionary in mainstream skincare - especially for the price. . How I Use It: Once a day, 3/4ths of a pump (a full pump if I’m using medik8 Crystal Retinal) as the last step in my routine. Works well under makeup due to the velvety finish and the exclusion of silicones, but I do prefer something lighter in the AM like alliesofskin Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream. I mostly use Protini at night!

Anti-aging MAGIC.
Anti-aging MAGIC.
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream 💙🐘 what is it? Protini’s proprietary formula delivers younger, revived-looking skin, almost from the first application. Lines, wrinkles and signs of sun-damage appear reduced; depleted skin feels strengthened and moisturized. key ingredients: • 9 signal peptide complex: (growth factors) 9 signal peptides (made up of amino acids that form proteins in the skin) are cell-communicating and serve to bind moisture to skin, plump, firm and restore bounce to skin’s appearance, helping to boost skin’s self-renewal. • pygmy waterlily stem cell extract: excellent source of antioxidants and nutrients to replenish the skin; extremely moisturizing, soothing and calming; effective in supporting healthy, youthful looking skin • soybean folic acid ferment extract: is a b vitamin that plays a central role in maintaining youthful, elastic skin; skin becomes actively thirsty for folic acid, especially after exposure to sun 🐘💙 This is what l call AMAZING. This little guy is a travel size and it came in a set with other of their products it’s probably the best cream I’ve tried. I’ve been using this for almost a month? I heard all the hype about drunk elephant and saw that not everyone loves their products, but hands down this cream? Is magic. The texture is very creamy yet lightweight, gel-like. Makes my skin feel very smooth, nourishing & pumply. I always like to apply it at night right before bed. I personally don’t have noticeable fine lines but my face gets very dehydrated because of my acne and after I apply this my skin Immediately gets PLUMPY and juicy. Also it doesn’t caused me any breaks outs neither irritate my skin. Which I love! I’m always very picky when it comes to creams because most of them tend to irritante my face + acne. Also I went ahead and check some reviews of this cream and so many ladies in their 40’s - 60’s they swear by this cream. I totally would recommend to anyone, even with acne like I do. It will totally change your skin care game. JUICY SKIN GAME.DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer

Fav moisturizer for sensitive skin
Fav moisturizer for sensitive skin
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer It’s a protein moisturizer that is made of signal peptides, growth factors, supportive amino acids and pygmy waterlily for visible and immediate improvement of the skin’s tone, texture and firmness. It claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and signs of sun-damage while leaving skin moisturized and strengthened. Drunk Elephant is “clean compatible” and free of the “suspicious 6” which include includes silicones, essential oils, chemical screens, SLS, drying alcohols, and fragrance/dye making it good for ALL skin types including sensitive skin. Protini is very lightweight and has a gel-like texture that sinks into your skin upon application. I have used protini about the same time i have used CFirma which is around 10 months. I love this moisturizer because it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin. I felt no stinging when i apply it on my skin unlike the moisturizers i have used before. It’s light enough to wear day and night and it does not clog my pores. No breakouts from using it as well which is really important to me. It has no scent in my opinion. My skin definitely looks hydrated, bouncy and firmer after using this for some time. I also love the airtight container that pumps put a dime sized amount of product that is enough to use alone or mix as a smoothie with other DE products and make a smoothie. I have recommended and will continue to recommend this product for anyone that is looking for a lightweight yet effective moisturizer. It can be expensive being $68 for 50ml but it is worth it if you ask me. If you are like someone like me that has tried a bunch if drugstore brands, i do not mind paying a little bit more for something i know will not irritate or break me out and for that, this is a 5/5 for me.

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream Review
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream Review
Drunk Elephant’s 🐘 Protini is a protein moisturizer that is supposed to improve skin’s tone, texture, and firmness through its proprietary blend of polypeptides. It is a white, thin, lightweight gel that readily absorbs into the skin. . I had received a sample of this product previously, which was my first introduction to peptides in skincare. Unfortunately, after trying this product a second time, I’m still not crazy about it. I found it is not hydrating enough (even in the am) for my dry skin, so I always mix in a pump of oil prior to applying. Aside from that, I’ve also experienced some stinging/irritation in the more sensitive parts of my face. Additionally, while this product does contain copper peptides (which have enough evidence to support skin repair/firmness), the other peptides had studies done “in vitro” (NOT on real skin  as opposed to “in vivo” (on real skin). . One of my other main issues with this product is the price. For $68 I expect to get “revived, younger-looking skin, almost from the first application”? (quote from Drunk Elephant). However, all I got was irritated, non-hydrated skin. I don’t think the polypeptides have had any anti-aging effects on my skin either, especially compared to my regular tretinoin use. . Personally, I don’t think it is worth the price, especially when you can get the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream as a dupe, or even get  The Ordinary “Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1% at a much cheaper price. I really wanted to love this product, especially since the LaLa Retro worked wonders for me. . If you have dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin, or are looking to get immediate skin firming/anti-aging effects I would not recommend this product for you. However, if you have oily skin, and don’t mind spending the $$$ for a nice, lightweight moisturizer and want to try out peptides, I would get a sample first before committing. I give this product 2/5 stars.⭐️⭐️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer

Let’s talk moisturizers for sensitive skin
Let’s talk moisturizers for sensitive skin
Drunk Elephants Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer is marketed as as a protein moisturizer that combines an unprecedented array and concentration of actives for improvement in the appearance of skin’s tone, texture, and firmness. The texture is almost like a gel cream hybrid, feeling very hydrating but not too heavy and it is white in color. Since this is a product from Drunk Elephant, you won’t find what they call the "Suspicious 6" in their products (essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical screens, fragrance/dyes, and SLS,) making this moisturizer, in their opinion, appropriate for all skin types, including sensitive skin. I started using this moisturizer last summer while traveling. I had received a sample and used it through and then missed it terribly once it was empty. I recently repurchased the full size a few months ago, since it was such a nice addition to my skincare routine. I really LOVE this moisturizer. To me, this does SO much for a moisturizer. It truly makes my skin feel so replenished and bouncy, and most surprisingly, it makes my skin feel strengthened. The high levels of amino acids, signal peptides, and safe, synthetic growth factors really take it a step above your average moisturizer. I also love how it has NO fragrance or strong scent, which is great if you have sensitive/irritable skin. I would definitely recommend this product to others. It is expensive ($68) but I truly haven't been able to find a moisturizer that compares to this one. It also lays beautifully under makeup, making it quick and easy to use in the morning. Overall, I would rate this 5/5 stars. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer
