I really will miss you all!
To all my cheries! It’s been so amazing seeing everyone of you grow and love this platform and beauty in a true and open way. My favorite thing about cherie was how free self expression was—anyone and everyone is beautiful just for existing. I’ll miss how supportive, excited, and passionate about beauty this space was. It’s so special and I’ll never forget it! I hope we can stay connected! Follow me on TikTok (annkrisha) or IG! (annkrisha_)! And keep using your voices! Keep fueling your passions! Xoxo 💋
My empties and their replacements 🥰
Loved this idea from @jennyand it just so happens I finished these 3 items! I loved all my empties (hence the empty) and I mostly wanted to try some new things so my swaps are: Indie lee coq10 toner for Tata Harper floral toner The indie lee toner is one of my faves. This is my 2nd bottle this year! It really hydrated well and just gives a beautiful glow. I however wanted to try out the Tata Harper floral essence as my toner instead because of how many super ingredients are in it. DHC deep cleansing oil for Tata Harper cleansing oil So I’ve been using the DHC cleansing oil for the last 3 years! It’s seriously such a staple. Simple, effective, nourishing, and affordable. I’m excited to try Tata Harpers cleansing oil because of how many super ingredients are in it (common theme in the brand). Let’s see how it goes ! Heraux serum for another round! This serum is insane! It’s really helped with my inflammation and a great anti-aging serum that isn’t retinoid. So here I go for round 2! *the Tata Harper items were so kindly given to me by the brand!*
INDIE LEE-CoQ-10 Toner
The system that replaced my retinoid!
Hey Cherie fam! So as some of you know I embarked on a new skin journey around adult acne. I was on a Derm prescribed regimen of cerave, epiduo, and spironolactane (see my posts from sept-October 2020 for more deetz) to help combat my acne. By October, my skin had improved a lot! Texture was down significantly, but I felt like the retinoid (epiduo) was making my skin super sensitive. I was prone to inflammatory acne (you know just red bumps, nothing to pop type) and I felt like the retinoid also destroyed my skin barrier because my eczema was really flaring up on my face. So I made the scary decision to drop my retinoid! I was scared to do so because it helped with my acne so much, and I really did not want it to come back. But I needed something less damaging to my skin, and better for my eczema. I did a bunch of research and knew to keep my acne at bay I needed: acids in my routine still to exfoliate nourishment like ceramides or niancinamide to help my skin barrier deep moisture but NOT pore clogging So, one thing I did was add Heraux - Heraux Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum in the AM to help repair my skin, but I still needed something for my acne! Enter CLEARSTEM an acne system developed by a dermatologist duo who both suffered from acne in their adult lives. This duo wanted to create a skincare line that treated acne and aging at the same time! The line is also cruelty free, vegan, has no hormone disrupting ingredients I was lucky to receive a PR package from them, so I dedicated the months of December and January to really give this system a shot! My routine was: AM: wash with CLEAR STEM - GENTLECLEAN – Vitamin Infused Calming Wash this wash had a nice citrus scent and is super gentle on the skin. I use it with my PMD clean for 60 seconds and it’s helped with inflammation ! tone with INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner more daytime antioxidants! serum Heraux - Heraux Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum to help repair damaged skin and do day time anti inflammaging moisture/SPF EVERYDAY HUMANS - Rosé S'il Vous Plait SPF30 Gentle Mineral Sunscreen I LOVE this sunscreen. It’s actually quite hydrating and I don’t really need to use a moisturizer before! PM: wash with CLEAR STEM - VITAMINscrub – Antioxidant-Infused Scrub Cleanser lightly exfoliates skin and smells so fresh serum CLEAR STEM - CLEARITY – AHA Mandelic Acid Serum + Vitamin C this baby does a lot of the work in keeping acne at bay. It has a nice consistency and I leave it on for 15 mins before I use the next serum. serum CLEAR STEM - Cellrenew Collagen Infusion Serum ( Anti-Acne + Anti-Aging Stem Cell Serum) this serum is so hydrating I love it! I feel like I’m putting nutrients right back into my skin YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

✨skin positivity✨ loving my skin no matter what!
It’s easy to love the versions of ourselves that are all done up and blurred of imperfections, like the photo on the left. When my makeup is done and the lighting is right, I feel good about myself but it’s so important to me that I take that feeling with me even when I’m the photo on the right-freshly washed and treated face; dark circles, acne scars, and all! I love the movement of embracing your flaws and being happy with your skin no matter what stage. It’s a journey after all and bumps in the road is inevitable. To me skin positivity means not being so harsh on myself when my skin isn’t perfect! I’m doing my due dillegence taking care of it, researching my products, etc. but good things take time and patience. Here’s to more self acceptance and skin positivity in the beauty industry 💖💖
How you sleep can cause wrinkles!
Did you know that sleeping on your side or stomach can cause wrinkles! Mushing your face into a pillow (especially for hours at a time, over years of your life) creates unnecessary pressure, creasing, and pulling. All dangerous to your delicate skin. I've been a side sleeper my whole life (because I tend to snore on my back) and have formed wrinkles around the eye and chest (shout out to my heavy chested sisters!). I am currently in the process of training myself to sleep on my back. not just on my back, however, but elevated as well. Elevation will help with snoring and also help fluids to drain and not settle in my face. Bye bye puffiness! I picked up a wedge pillow from Amazon that has been extremely helpful with this. I also place a couple pillows behind my knees to increase comfort and prevent me from sliding down the bed. I've been doing this for a week and my face has zero puffiness in the morning now. Also, no pillow creases when I wake 🥰 I'm in the process of researching and ordering silicone skin patches and masks for sleeping and increasing the efficacy of serums and moisturizers. . Dermatologists use silicone sheets and patches to improve the look of scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles. Another thing they are great for is preventing TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss), so placing them on your skin before sleep can ensure you wake to a fresh and dewy complexion. They can also be used over sheet masks and serums to prevent drying and increase product absorption. (I may make another post on these in the future.) I will be using these, while sleeping on my back, to see if I can improve the look of the damage I've done over the past 40+ years. Wish me luck, my beauties!
Free contour tutorial here👇🏻
I took a makeup course that focused on contour before. How to make face look thinner and tiny. So I want to teach you a few kinds of contouring methods. 1. For people with round face Apply shadow on both sides of forehead and cheeks, which can make the overall face outline look slimmer. Then highlight the middle of your forehead and under your eyes. It makes the center of your face look like full of collagen. 2. Queen Style For those of you who have watched the film of Maleficent, Angelina's makeup should be very impressive. Her high cheekbones make her look strict and a trace of pomposity. If we want to draw this kind of contour, 45 angles’ shadows on both sides of the cheeks are necessary. It can lift the overall face shape up. Applying highlighter upper and lower both sides of the shadows. Don't forget the bridge of your nose by highlighting. 3. For wide checkbones Applying the shadow below the temples. To visually change the first impression of cheekbone width, pull the face forward and back is the right way. So the nose is the key area. Nose shadows and bridge highlights must be applied. Personally, I prefer the third one, because it suits my face best. You can try each one, find out the most suitable for own type!
Am I confident with this cleanser?
As a person, I try not to support it cosmetics because I am not going to give money to a company that has shown that they don’t care about me or people who look like me. But I must have bumped my head because I got a three-piece set that included the it Cosmetics - Secret Sauce Anti-Aging Moisturizerand it Cosmetics - Miracle Water Micellar Cleanserand this post’s featured item, it Cosmetics - Confidence in a Cleanser . One product saved my skin after I left the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Maskfor ... an hour while working and one product was just fancy water. (I plan on doing a storytime about my Babyfacial mishap.) then there was the cleanser, which I literally started using about ... 3 weeks ago. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT This two-in-one serum cleanser was formulated with plastic surgeons for normal, oil, combination, dry and sensitive skin types. It comes in two sizes: 1.7 oz. for $12.50 and 5 oz. for $28. You are supposed to apply it onto all wet skin and work in for about 30 seconds. KEY INGREDIENTS • Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate™ • Anti-aging collagen 😒 • Hyaluronic acid • Colloidal oatmeal • A super ceramide complex MY EXPERIENCE I started using this cleanser because I had just finished my go-to cleanser, ORIGINS - Checks and Balances Frothy Face Washand I wanted to use up a few of my smaller ones before going for a larger one. Enter Confidence in a Cleanser. I didn’t like this cleanser. Maybe it is because it was formulated to be a universally used cleanser, but I feel like this is kind of a nothing cleanser. It doesn’t directly hurt my skin, but I don’t see any benefits either. Actually, I had a larger than normal hormonal breakout than in normally do while using this cleanser. (This cleanser while also trying to finish the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample. So that could also be the culprit.) My skin was clean, but it didn’t feel how I wanted it to feel. It can take a bit to work into a lather, which can be annoying. If you have used this product, then you know. Recommend? No.

I tried the “Curly Girl Method” and....
The Curly Girl Method isn’t new. My mom has been using this method for so long. I had never done it before because I have naturally curly hair and didn’t think it would make a difference...well.... I was wrong. My curls are dry and thick and nothing seems to make them bouncy and full except a good haircut with layers. But, you know, quarantine and all...so I haven’t had a haircut since February! This is my take on the curly girl method: 1. Start with wet hair! This is me about 10 minutes after I got out of the shower. 2. Use a curl defining cream or gel and scrunch it through your hair. Yep, from bottom to scalp. I used my current favorite Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream which smells great and is such a good amount for the price. 3. Grab an oversized t-shirt. The softer the better, but as long as it’s cotton. 4. Turn your head upside-down. Take the bottom two corners of the shirt and tie them around your forehead to your neck like a headband. 5. Grab your hair and “plop” or stuff your hair into the shirt while pulling up the rest of it. 6. Trap your hair in the shirt and wrap the sleeves up around your head like a headband again. 7. Tie the sleeves together in the front! 8. Leave it on for 20-60 minutes. My hair usually takes about 8-10 hours to fully air dry so I let mine sit for an hour. 9. Take your hair out of the shirt and let it air dry the rest of the way. If it gets too crunchy, re-wet it with water to further disperse the curl cream or gel. ...VOILA! My hair looks super voluminous and full. My curls are also really defined and beautiful, I also love how my strands aren’t clumped together so it looks lighter and thinner. I really love how it turned out. Have you used the curly girl method? What’s your favorite curl cream or gel to use with it? #CheriePartner

Brush, sponge and puff, my choice is...
In this comparison I'm gonna put three products to the test and it’s going to be the brush, the puff and the brand new sponge, and we are gonna single out what is the best way to apply foundation. Which tool should you apply to your foundation? There is so much going on right now, and all these brands are coming up with new things so I'm going to just grasp my daily uses: BOBBI BROWN - Full Coverage Face Brush (AUD75), REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Body Complexion Sponge (AUD 6) and a Giorgio Armani puff (AUD21). The foundation I will use is from ESTEE LAUDER’s Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup range of 12 shades in which I select the 1N2 Ecru suiting my skin tone best （AUD60）. This one is a 24-hour long wear foundation and is supposed to be hydrating. Melbourne is in late winter right now so it's definitely suitable for this test at the moment. The Bobbi brown brush （AUD75） As you can see, on its stick, this one is a full coverage face brush and is a dense one for the face with cream products. It’s very light, weighing only 24g on a kitchen scale, even though its gripping part looks like being made of wood. The head of it feels soft, velvety but still like a roly-poly toy, whose ”root” is very rooted in its stick when you are scrabbling on your face. In a normal makeup routine in winter, after a procedure of putting skin care products on my face, I start with the VITAMIN ENRICHED FACE BASE which contains shea butter, vitamin C & E (AUD 88), functioning as the extra moisturizing balm. Once applying the foundation, it helps reduce the appearance of any pores. The right part of the picture shows you how the brush worked. The Real Techniques sponge and the Giorgio Armani puff This sponge is super light, soft and elastic. It shapes like an egg so people call it a beauty egg lol. You can use the tip of the egg to stipple on all areas of your face even though the joint between nose and face. (it’s a tricky place, isn’t it?). However, sometimes the sponge is the baddest stealer for your foundation among these three applicators. By using these two(puff and sponge), in my mind, they are nearly the same for me. However, this time I use a liquid foundation, if the foundation is dry, a sponge which can be also watery before application will still make your coverage sheer and long-lasting. Who wins ? ! These tools are all portable and you can just nip anyone in your handbag, but with a very small purse if you wanna carry one applicator out, a sponge or a puff would be your better choice. They can be squeezed into any kind of shape even jam-packed to the pocket of your jeans lol. However, there are no delicate girls who do not bring a handbag, right? A 5.6’’L brush? No Problem! What’s more, comparing to a puff or a sponge, It is not only blendable but also seamlessly gives you an ultra HD face . Thousands of “hairs” of the brush head seem to respectively carry each foundation molecule into your pore, so as to build up a flawless coverage. Therefore, I love to use it if ever I’m going out with someone “serious” who I can’t fool with, or to show up at an important dinner table, or I’m doing a photo shoot because it’s really photo-friendly.
