Finding a cleanser suitable to your skin type/needs can be a challenge. I have been through my fair share of cleansers trying to find one that I can’t live without. Let me share my findings with you! ⭐️Here are the best cleansers I have tried:⭐️ FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser
✨all skin types (especially sensitive/dry)✨ This is my current cleanser and I absolutely love it. If you are struggling with sensitive skin or using a strong retinol like I am, this is perfect. It effectively cleanses without stripping the skin, but I will say it isn’t great for makeup removal. GHOST DEMOCRACY - Transparent Gentle Exfoliating Daily Cleanser
✨oily, combination, and normal skin types✨ This is a good exfoliating cleanser but I wouldn’t use it every day. I noticed it tends to sensitize my skin if I use it too often, so now I use it every other day or so. This is an amazing cleanser once you find the frequency of use that works for you. If you have acne concerns this would be a great way to introduce gentle exfoliation. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
✨oily and combination skin types✨ I found that this cleanser didn’t work very well for me because I needed something a bit less drying. If you have oily skin I can see this working very well for you though. The texture is really nice and my face felt clean. Sweet CHEF - Oat Milk Latte Cleanser
✨all skin types (especially combination)✨ This cleanser is gentle and is especially good for those who wear makeup. I’ve never used a cleanser that removes makeup as well as this one. If you have tried any of these cleansers or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!

Rebecca2200I was told yesterday at Sephora that I have some dry patches on my skin! I get oily as well so I’m on the hunt for a new cleanser it seems. I might have to try the first aid one!

Product Review: Skincare and Makeup
I received these item free in exchange for my honest review on them. Iv been using these products for about a month now. So here we go! 1. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch Acne Pimple Master Patch $6. Firs of all holy value! These patches are actual magic. They are virtually invisible when on and I love how there are multiple sizes. It honestly cleared up deep pimples overnight. I’m going to stock up! 2. @LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) Effaclar Duo Acne Treatment. I do not have very strong breakouts, while I wish I had this product in high school when my acne was really really bad this product was good but too strong/intense for where my skin is currently at. I used it on a few problem areas but it seems more like a long term treatment not a quick fix for someone like me. 3. MAYBELLINE - Mascara Lash Sensational Lash Sensational I loved the applicator but the formula itself was just not doing it for me. It clumped together on the brush and that transferred over to my lashes. I think the applicator is awesome but not the biggest fan of the formula. 4. MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Master Chrome Highlighter. I absolutely love this product! It provides a very natural glow that is PERFECT for literally everyday. It blends beautiful and I just really love it. 5. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin GOLD STAR! This cleanser is seriously the BOM! It’s affordable, gentle, and gets everything from lipstick to lash glue off your face. I’m buying the biggest bottle they have right now!

Starting tretinoin and spironolactone
After 6 months of researching products and learning more about my skin and what works, I have finally found out the root cause of my acne. I feel like I’ve always had a good, consistent skincare routine. I’ve even made good lifestyle choices such as changing my pillow case every week, cutting out diary, limiting junk food, and drinking lots of water. However, I did not see any improvements with my skin. I mainly break out on my cheeks, chin, and jawline, especially when I’m on or about to start my period. I recently consulted a doctor for free thanks to my university’s student health services. She told me that this is hormonal for sure. I had been producing an excess of androgen hormones which lead to more oil production and eventually more acne. She prescribed me with spironolactone and tretinoin. I started taking these medications a few days ago. I think I’m in the purge period right now. I’m so glad I finally have closure on what has been causing my acne. I’ve never had serious acne problems in the past so this has been really frustrating. Current skincare routine: Morning: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide Night: íUNIK - Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil I also use the THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser every other night. If I need to subside a pimple, I would use Rael - Acne Healing Patch or the COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch I’ve been taking spironolactone every morning and applying my .025% tretinoin every other night. I’m giving my skin time to adjust to the tretinoin so I will start applying it nightly next week. For those who have taken spironolactone or tretinoin: how long did it take for you to see less breakouts? And can I still use my salicylic acid cleanser while on tretinoin?

Milky Smooth!
I like this facial cleanser a lot! It make my skin so soft and smooth. It has a gel to foam like texture and has a light fragrance. It’s recommended that it can be used as a make up remover. I’m not sure about that yet because I have a make-up removal routine that I like. Let me know if you want me to share it. It’s just a few simple steps and it makes my face so squeaky clean. I like that this product has vitamin B in it as well as oat and coffee extract which are great ingredients that help plump you face. It’s also recommended that you don’t dry your face with a towel but rub the water into your face as it dries. I thought that was pretty cool advice. I don’t use towels for washing my face or my body. I’ll tell you all more about that in another post.

Oat Milk Latte for your Skin?!
For those who don’t know, Sweet Chef is the sister brand of Glow Recipe. While Glow Recipe is a fruit inspired higher-end brand, Sweet Chef is “green juice/veggie/vitamin” inspired and is more affordable. Their line of skincare is cruelty free, vegan, focused on natural ingredients, and stays away from harsh ingredients such as sulfates and stripping alcohols. Sweet CHEF - Oat Milk Latte Cleanser This cleanser is probably one of my favorite cleansers I’ve ever tried. It removes makeup super well, it doesn’t strip the skin, and it didn’t make me break out. The only complaint I have about this cleanser is the packaging. Over time the product tends to leak out of the cap even when sealed. If you store it upside down, though, that issue stops. For a $13 cleanser I am extremely impressed. Key Ingredients: 💙 Oat milk- helps to nourish dehydrated skin 💙 Coffee seed- antioxidants and fatty acids 💙 Hyaluronic acid- helps skin retain moisture 💙 Vitamin B12- supports the skin barrier I believe this cleanser is suitable for all skin types and I strongly recommend it to those who wear makeup. If you have tried Sweet Chef or have any product recommendations please let me know in the comments!

My current favourite foam cleansers ✨🌱 Happy #watershotwednesday x #whitewednesday! Today I’m sharing my favourite foam cleanser that work great for my dry, winter skin. Although these cleanser foam up, they don’t strip my skin at all. They’re also so gentle, fragrance-free and pH balanced making them great for sensitive/irritated skin as well. Be plain Greenful Ph Balanced Cleansing Foam (PR) ✨ This cleanser is packed with soothing hydrating and antioxidant ingredients such as 32.17% mung bean extract, centella asiatica extract, green tea leaf extract, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, turmeric root extract and so many more! It has a slightly grainy texture at first but as soon as it foams up, it goes away and doesn’t irritate. I find that my skin feels super soft and refreshed after using this! First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser ✨ This is probably my favourite out of the 3, it has creamy texture that lathers well but is still so gentle on the skin. This contains green tea leaf water, licorice root extract, glycerin, sodium pca, allantoin and aloe leaf juice to soothe and hydrate the skin. I notice that this effectively cleanses oil and dirt from the skin but still leaves it feeling hydrated and soft. make p:rem Safe me. Relief Moisture Cleansing Foam (PR) ✨ Another great cleanser that removes oil and dirt, this has a creamy, foam texture similar to the first aid beauty. This contains glycerin, panthenol, raspberry fruit extract and sodium hyaluronate to help soothe dryness and skin irritation. After using this, my skin feels clean but still feels super smooth and supple. Whats your favourite type of cleanser?

Dry, redness prone, sensitive skin
Hi everyone :) Since I can remember I’ve dealt with dry and sensitive skin. My skin is always red to some level. I’ve been to dermatologists in the past and they always said it was something I would grow out of. I’m 27 and while my skin has improved over time, I still have a lot of redness. I was never told that I have rosacea, but I’m pretty that’s what I’m dealing with! Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for products that might help? While my current routine works well for my skin, I’m curious to see if there’s anything else I could incorporate to help with my redness. Thanks in advance!

💙GHOST DEMOCRACY💙
Did you know the founder of Ghost Democracy worked in big beauty corporations for 12+ years before starting this brand? PRODUCTS: 💙Hyaluronic Acid Serum: contains 2.1% Pure Hyaluronic Acid, 4.0% Niacinamide, 1.5% Linden Flower Extract, 1.3% White Tea Leaf Extract. This serum is meant to hydrate, firm, smooth skin, and help with the appearance of fine lines. 💙Transparent Gentle Exfoliating Daily Cleanser: contains 4.1% Glycolic Acid, 1.8% Mandelic Acid, 1.6% Willow Bark Extract, 1.3% Niacinamide. This is meant to be a daily cleanser that gently exfoliates and cleanses skin without stripping it from its natural moisture. 💙Clean Lightweight Daily Face Moisturizer: contains 12.0% Probiotics, 1.0% Niacinamide, 1.0% Oat Seed Extract, 0.5% Panthenol. An oil-free, lightweight daily moisturizer that is meant to be non-greasy and fast absorbing. MY THOUGHTS: I was gifted these products over a month ago and I’ve been trying them out ever since. •The moisturizer is definitely my favorite product from the three. It’s extremely lightweight and fast absorbing and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin at all. •The hyaluronic acid is lightweight and has really helped hydrate my skin but the price is just a little too high for me to purchase it myself. •Lastly, the daily cleanser is also extremely lightweight and gentle. With that being said, sometimes I feel like this cleanser isn’t enough by itself. I would purchase this for myself because of how gentle it is but I’ve tried better cleansers. SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰These products are vegan and cruelty-free 💙Thank you for my products Ghost Democracy

$10 for a Perfect Foaming Cleanser
$10 for a Perfect Foaming Cleanser
I’ve just recently started getting into drugstore skincare, after exhausting the subpar formulations of 75% of Sephora products. $35 for a fragrance-filled face wash? No thanks. It may be on my face for a short time, but I hold my cleansers to the same standards as the rest of my routine, with the stipulation of preferring a cheaper product since there’s little long-term benefit other than preventing clogged pores. I normally use the PAULA'S CHOICE - RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser but wanted to try a drugstore version to recommend to those that needed in-store options. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin is a fantastic foaming cleanser that manages to thoroughly remove sweat and grime without stripping my skin. My skin feels soft and balanced after use, thanks to the included glycerin, niacinamide, three ceramides, and (actual) hyaluronic acid. I’m obsessed with how beautifully this cleanser lathers up from a gel, even moreso since it doesn’t make my skin feel dry- absolutely fantastic and a steal at $10. I recommend this as a second cleanser, as the water-based formula doesn’t completely remove my mascara or the entirety of oil-based sunscreens. I also would primarily recommend it to those with oily, combination, or normal skin- I find that dry skin benefits more from cream cleansers! Which, I’ll be reviewing the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser soon 💕

Comment what YOU love when you double cleanse✨
Hey there! Looking to find either an awesome cleansing oil or cleansing balm to add to my skincare routine. I love my CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin but have been working to find something beforehand to really break up and push off all of the make up from the day, that’s gentle on the skin and eyes too. Any suggestions you got, would love to hear from you! Any balms or oils that you love using as part 1 of 2 for your double cleansing routine? Super open to feedback and suggestions! Let me know what you love or what you think could be great for someone with dry/ combo skin to use. Thank you! ✨✨✨✨

Don’t Ignore This Part of Your Routine! 💦
Don’t Ignore This Part of Your Routine! 💦
I feel like out of all of the skincare items, people pay the least attention to their cleanser. I think this is a mistake. Your cleanser sets the stage for your whole routine. If your cleanser is too stripping, it can damage your skin’s barrier and make you feel like you have to make it up with lots of moisturizing items that won’t help. If your cleanser isn’t strong enough, you may deal with product buildup and breakouts. I have found CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser to be a perfect balance of cleansing and hydrating. It works so well for my dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin! What is it? - CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser is a gentle face wash. This cleanser was developed with dermatologists to cleanse and refresh the skin without over-stripping it or leaving it feeling tight and dry. - Suitable for normal to dry skin. - Available in sizes 3-16oz, with prices ranging from $4.99-$14.99. What’s in it? - Ceramides: Essential for healthy skin, ceramides help restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. - Hyaluronic acid: This ingredient attracts hydration to the skin’s surface and helps the skin retain moisture. - MVE Technology: This patented delivery system continually releases moisturizing ingredients for 24-hour hydration. - Non-comedogenic, non-irritating and fragrance-free My review- - I absolutely love this cleanser! It’s adorable and effective. It’s cleanses my skin, without leaving it feeling tight and dry. My skin feels soft and moisturized after using it, but not heavy or sticky. It feels clean! - I apply one pump of the product to my soft silicone face brush and gently massage it into damp skin for approx. 30 sec. Then I wash the cleanser off with lukewarm water, pat dry, and proceed with my skincare routine! - This product does not foam up, but remains a thin, creamy texture. This may bother some people but it doesn’t bother me since it’s so good for my skin! At first it may not feel like it’s cleaning your skin, but once you wash it off you’ll be able to tell that it did! I personally love the way it feels but I did want to include a warning for people who are used to a foaming cleanser.

CeraVe-Hydrating Facial Cleanser
The CeraVe hydrating facial cl
The CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser is a very gentle face wash that is great for dry, sensitive skin. The cleanser is very creamy. It almost feels like I’m putting a very watered down moisturizer on my face to cleanse it. I truly believe that it has worked wonders on my sensitive and dry skin. I have notice that my acne has gone away and my skin feels much more hydrated due to the ceramides in the cleanser that helps lock in the moisture. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who had sensitive skin. My sister has very oily skin and she did not like this cleanser, but everyone’s skin is different. I think this product is worth the $11.99 price tag. I love it! CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin

Need an amazing cleanser? Look no further!
Need an amazing cleanser? Look no further!
Who else has a significant other who isn’t as into skincare as you are but you still want them to take care of their skin? I do! My boyfriend, who has sensitive acne-prone skin, refuses to do an elaborate routine with more than 5 steps, so I created a simple routine for him. We went through a lot of trial-and-error with cleansers. It was either too drying, too harsh, or made his skin worse. So I switched to this simple, gentle, non-fragranced cleanser and now it’s the only cleanser I buy for him. (It has also helped clear up his skin immensely! All he uses is this and an Aveeno moisturizer.) He is not the only one who uses this cleanser. I find myself using this periodically because of how amazing it is! It foams up nicely, is not stripping nor is it irritating, and does exactly what we would want from a cleanser. It is affordable and can easily be purchased online/in-person. If you need a gentle cleanser, I definitely recommend CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin !
