Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Dark Star Palette ($55) I
Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Dark Star Palette ($55) I realized that I never posted swatches of the patmcgrathreal holiday palettes from her Opulence collection! Blasphemy! Each palette was inspired by one of Mother's precious Limited Edition collections. This one was inspired by the limited edition Dark Star 006 lab. I think that everyone can agree that Pat always comes correct in terms of quality and presentation and these mini palettes are a great way to try her eyeshadows without breaking the bank. The whole palette is beautiful but Interstellar is definitely the main attraction. It's a deep royal blue that shifts periwinkle and violet with tiny flecks of pink and blue sparkle. Perfection.

My first post!!!! This is my part 1 of Pat’s majestic collections! I was aware of the released products and i heard so many great things just by watching on YouTube. However, for a palette that cost...nearly AUD $200!!! I was like...passed!...years gone by, so many releases came out..i stayed away. BUT! BUT, Alicia of Kinkysweat youtube channel that i truly adored had me! Had me convinced!! And OMG! I do save money for my makeup splurge..but i didnt think im gonna go cray cray with Pat’s products. I said “Part 1” ...did i say i went cray cray????...yup yup yup.
After 70 days of waiting....
Bought it on the release date! This very palette has traveled within US, across the world and finally to my home after 70 days! The excitement was not here anymore with other new releases and long wait but i’m happy that i purchased it. - very buttery - very pigmented - very blendable - very shimmery - very unique 😉 PAT McGRATH LABS - Mothership Eyeshadow Palette
Nabla Cosmetics Coral Cutie Palette (€23,50/$26.73usd) Okay so the palettes... there's two little 6 pan palettes: one warm and one neutral. Nabla always comes correct with the packaging and presentation and these palettes are no exception. They're a nice heavy cardboard with a swirling watercolor design and a good mirror. And all of Nabla's products are cruelty free and vegan. Although they are smaller, I wouldn't call them 'mini' because the shadows are full sized and the palette contains 8g of product. For reference the ABH palettes have 11g of product and 14 shadows. The Coral Cutie Palette features a variety of different formulas with multidimensional finishes including Fluid Metal, Satin, Super Matte, Celestial and Metal Foil. Metal Foil is a formula with an incredible metallic and mirrored foil effect and a creamy touch. The 6 shades: ▪️I Got You (Metal foil)- flamingo with duochrome magenta and coral reflects ▪️Red Shape (Satin)- fire red with copper reflects ▪️Anyway (Super Matte)- espresso ▪️Mandarin (Celestial)- mandarin ▪️Feelings (Super Matte)- coral pink ▪️Coral Amber (Fluid metal)- coral amber with bronze reflects It's absolutely beautiful and I adore the mixture of colors and textures.

Nabla Cosmetics 'Poison Garden' Palette It's a little bigger than their previous two palettes, 15 pans instead of 12. There's 9 mattes and 6 shimmers. I think that Adoration and Subliminal might be their new 'Crystal' formula that they debuted in the Soul Blooming palette. Adoration on it's own is quite sheer, I had to build it up substantially to get it to show in these pics. But I think that it's designed to be a top coat. Subliminal is more opaque and has a very glittery, almost wet looking finish. I think that the other four shimmers are their Fluid Metal formula but I could be wrong. At first the color scheme seemed a little jarring to me but then I started visualizing the palette in quads. So for example Zodiac, Fabric, Zen and Craving or Zen, Craving, Rosita and Majorelle or Honey, Subliminal, Narrative and Opera etc. It makes more sense to me when I look at it that way

Milan Rowe 'Eyeconic Couture' Palette ($40) Have you guys seen this gorgeous palette from Milan Rowe ?? They're a relatively indie brand from Florida and this was their second release, following the launch of their liquid lipsticks. The palette is cruelty free, vegan and made in the US. I've been using it constantly for the last month which is really saying something because I've got a ton of makeup.

Pat McGrath EYEdols Single Shadows ($25) This is the more colorful half of patmcgrathreal single shadows! They're available on Mother's website as well as at Sephora. But Sephora only carries 12 of the 17 shades. Also on Pat's website, she has three trios that are $65. So those are a nice way to try a variety of shades while saving a few bucks. The shades Crimson Fire, Synthetica, Corrupt Copper and Rose Venus are brand new. The others are popular shades from her LE palettes. Gold Standard and Lapis Luxury are from the Mothership IV Decadence palette. Pale Fire and Purple Reign are from the MTHRSHP Subversive La Vie En Rose Palette and Enraptured is from the MTHRSHP Subliminal Dark Star Palette. Now if only she'd release the glittery shades from the Mothership palettes as singles, my life would be complete!
COLOURPOP-Misunderstood shadow palette
ColourPop Cosmetics 'California Love' Palette ($18) I haven't used it yet so I just have a few first impressions for you. First I love the packaging. I like that CP keeps it simple but functional when it comes to their palettes. The gold foil palm trees are super cute and in keeping with the theme. Fyi- all of the pans pop right out of CP palettes. Just in case you hadn't realized. The palette has 4 mattes (Gnarly, Sequoia, Laguna, The Bay), 3 satins (Gold Rush, HWY 1, Mission), 1 pressed glitter (El Capitan) and 4 metallics (Diego, Surfrider, Cahuenga, Cruisin'). The warm neutral theme is definitely nothing that we haven't seen before but I think that it's fitting for a California girl. Golden bronzey goddess type vibes. And there's some interesting colors and textures when you look closely. Diego, Surfrider, Sequoia and El Capitan are stand outs for me. It's meant to be a companion to the Sweet Talk palette and I can see how those two color stories would compliment each other perfectly.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
