Hey curlfriends👋🏾 just stopping by to give you the deets on Mielle’s new moisture rx collection (products are listed in order of use): Hair Type: 3c/4a gurl ➰ MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Shampoo
Let’s start with this bad boy. Now I’ve used mielle’s co-wash in the past so I expected nothing but greatness from this product. In terms of functionality the pump was a struggle at first, I definitely had to put some arm strength into this one. It did take awhile to lather up, but once enough shampoo was applied I was all suddzy🧼 My hair did feel more moisturized after a single wash, shoutout to the avocado and ginger infused in this shampoo🥑 MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Conditioner
When it came to moisture, this product wasn’t playing. Immediately after washing my hair with the anti-breakage shampoo I sectioned my hair and then combed this conditioner through each strand. When it comes to my curls, I am HEAVY with the conditioner. Once applied, I wrapped each section into two Bantu knots and then let it sit for about 15 minutes. Upon rinsing my hair, my hair felt very hydrated, I was quite pleased. (Don’t get me wrong, I definitely still needed more product in my hair to keep it from frizzing up🦚) It’s finally twisting time🧬 After I wash + deep condition, I then applied these 3 products to my two strand twists: MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner
MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Hair Butter
MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Styling Gel
These three products combined had my twists SOAKED with maximum hydration. My favorite out of the three was definitely the hair butter. The hair butter was the key to unlocking the next level of protective styles🗝 My hair was voluminous, defined, AND hydrated. What more could a curly girl ask for? I’ve used these products on 3 of my twist outs so far and they still haven’t failed me. I definitely recommend these products to anyone looking to add some moisture to their collection💧 Lastly, I went in with MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Scalp Treatment
A little background on my skin type, I have very dry skin & when neglected I can get dry scalp as well. Once I finished my twists, I went through each part and spritzed this product onto my scalp. The texture was a bit oily, but soothing nonetheless! I would also like to shine light on the founder ⭐️ Monique Rodriguez⭐️ for being another pioneer to bring curly hair products to the forefront of beauty. I can’t say it enough, but support👏🏾Black👏🏾owned👏🏾beauty👏🏾brands.

OKAY curly girls of cherie. Let me put you on to Mielle if you haven’t heard of them already. Disclaimer: I have not tried everything YET. But wanted to get this in front of you so we can compare notes. ➿➿I have 3a/b curlzzzzz ➿➿ If you are really looking for some deep moisture this Hawaiian Ginger line is for YOU. The shampoo is a bit difficult to pump out, and you need to use kind of a lot of it to get some good suds (if you’re into that) 🧼 but overall it’s pretty nice. I thought it would be more fragrant but it’s not! It’s kind of like a calming ginger tea 🫖 MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Shampoo The conditioner is definitely THICC. Had to take a few pumps then comb it through sections of my hair in the shower. Left it in and after a few mins I rinsed it out..it felt pretty smooth. MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Conditioner Okay here is where it gets a little tricky for me. I have very fine hair. And it needs moisture but if I go overboard it just doesn’t sit right when I dry it. So when using the leave in conditioner, I think I overdid it and left a lil too much in. I normally use the Ouidad - Advanced Climate Control Featherlight Styling Cream after I wash/condition and it is perfect when I diffuse afterwards bc it’s so light. But mistakes were made on my part bc it did not look cute when I diffused it dry. MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner I only used a bit of the MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Styling Gel after the leave in and before diffusing and it was OK but I think I had too much leave in for it to do anything cute for me. Overall, I think it is worth another shot! There is seriously a TON of product here for a really great affordable price. I would say it’s only a bit smaller than Pattern Beauty but I would take Mielle over Pattern any day for the fragrance alone (Sorry Auntie Tracee) — I really hate strong fragrance in my hair products!! I def want to try the overnight conditioner and wash in the AM then use my regular products to style to see if I can still maintain the hydration from the night before, without it weighing my curls down when they’re dry. We’ll see how it goes!!!

Easy & Quick🔥 Get Rihanna's gorgeous curls with black-owned hair products at home!
I am a big fan of Rihanna, not only for her chill songs but also for her gorgeous look! I mean, although all of her looks are quite amazing, I love her natural black hairstyle, which is bold and beautiful! What's more, it only takes a few steps to get this look!  Step 1: Gently washing  The most important thing for natural girls is keeping your hair healthy and hydrated. I like to use MIELLE - Babassu Conditioning Shampoo and their MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Conditioner. Mielle Organics is a black-owned beauty brand, and all of their products are organic and sulfate-free with nourishing ingredients to help fight breakages. Washing my hair with those shampoo and conditioner helps me to add more volumes to my natural hair! Step 2: Applying curl-defining cream It's better to apply a curl-defining cream when your hair is still wet because frizz will start to appear as soon as the hair begins to dry. Scrunch some cream through the lengths for a deep moisturization. I use MIELLE - Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream containing Brazilian organic oils to keep my curls defined and healthy. Step 3: Air Drying My advice for natural hair is avoiding bowing out your hair as this can dehydrate the ends and stimulate more frizzes! Therefore, I always leave my hair air-dried and put on a sheet mask during that time. Step 4: Refreshing  The last step is to refresh my hair with MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Curl Refreshing Spray, which has a fruity scent and helps me hold my curls for the whole day! However, before you jump into the tutorials, I'd like to kindly remind you that this is a long curly black hairstyle with layered bangs, so you need to trim your layers on both sides at least every 6 weeks. Hope this tutorial can help you! Love you guys xxx!

get the samples. gel is worth the hold!
it's another wash day which means new products to try. I've been fairly committed to Act+Acre - Mini Cleanse + Conditioner the last few washes. always remember to 1 shake the product and 2 shampoo twice. a little goes a long way. Emulsify!!!!! after shampooing twice (I used MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner and MIELLE - Honey & Ginger Styling Gel in my last wash which did not pass the water soluble test. this means it is probably causing build up on my hair) I conditioned and detangled with my Wet brush - Wetbrush Shower Flex next I tried my SAMPLES JESSICURL. - Rockin' Ringlets Styling Potion gives great slip. you do need to ratook the sample. after all it is a small amount but the sample packet was enough to fully cover my head. I made sure to to 4 big sections and make sure I got it in there. gives great slip. I then used my #behairful - the professional detangler[products]#[FiveStars] to comb through sections for great definition I used my sample of JESSICURL. - Spiralicious Styling Gel which has a flax seed gel consistency. I was able to get about 3 quarter size amounts out the sample that u used the praying hands method to massage in. I scrunched in the last quarter size amount throughout my hair wet plopped for about 10 to 15 minutes in a shower cap I intended on diffusing but work meetings pulled me away and by the time I picked my the blow dryer, most of my hair formed a cast. but I diffused a bit nonetheless and I've posted pictures of my day 3 hair. any suggestions or recommendations?

decent hold great shine but do I smell like soda
I am absolutely committed to the Act+Acre - Mini Cleanse + Conditioner movement. Cold process implies that there is no manipulation to the products in the conditioner or the shampoo and you are getting actual benefits from the products you are using. Cold process implies that there is no manipulation to the products in the conditioner or the shampoo and you are getting actual benefits from the products you are using. If you are trying this product for the 1st time 2 things 1 always remember to shake it and 2 you will need to shampoo twice. Now theMIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner Was given to me by my younger sister who was not a fan of the sent or of the product itself. Are used this still in the shower on soaking wet hair and rubbed through from ends to root. I used my Denman brush to comb the product through evenly. then sectioned my hair to apply half a pump of the MIELLE - Honey & Ginger Styling Gel once again massaging from ends to root then combing they with the denman brush and scrunching. onto the next section. I take fairly big sections because I'm trying to hurry up. once all sectioned and combed through i took one pump, mixed with water, turned upside down and scrunched my entire head. I focus on the back of my hair as my tail tends to straighten. and then wet plopped in a shower cap for about 20 minutes whilst I rinsed off, got out the shower, facial routine including a 15 minute sheet mask. then I took the shower cap off to air dry for about 10 more minutes. I diffused for a bit to get the wetness out of my hair then ate dinner, air dried until bedtime. then I put on a bonnet and the pictures are this mornings results. let's see what day 3 and 5 hair look like. I also haven't sealed with oil. does anyone think it smells like sprite though or is that me??

Curly Hair Tips 🌀
If you're reading this post you and I probably have something in common, curly hair! You've probably also heard "your hair is so beautiful" all your life and thought about how much you wished it were straight and easier to manage. Well 25 years of curly hair has taught me one thing, most people (yes even hair professionals) don't know much about curly hair and keeping it healthy! Here's a little about my hair journey: I didn't wear my hair down consitently until I was about 23, it was always in buns unless it was straightened I had bleached hair for about 5 years I did a big chop and cut all the blonde off 2 years ago When I chopped off the blonde I made the decision to only work towards healthy hair so how am I doing that? No hair color, I haven't dyed my hair since chopping the blonde and yes I have really wanted too. It's not worth my hairs integrity and I'm too spontaneous - I'd be a new color every month. Sulfate free is the way to go, but you don't have to quit using shampoo. Of course you shouldn't be washing your hair daily, but shampooing and cleansing the scalp is IMPORTANT! I wash maximum twice a week, one of those being a co-wash. All the products I have are sulfate free. Find products that work well together! Mix a small part of your leave-in with your gel, if it pills and separates it will do that on your hair! Don't use them together. Product lines are formulated to work together, start there if your having a hard time. Not all alcohol is bad, if it's on the ingredient list it should be a fatty alcohol. I still try to avoid it if I can! Wrap your curls up in silk or satin at night to reduce frizz and extend your style! No heat. Like ever. I've straightened my hair once in two years and missed my curls! If you do straighten it once in a blue moon, use heat protection and the lowest heat settings you can. Care for your scalp! Use an oil, scrub it in the shower, stimulate your scalp at night. A happy scalp means happy curls! Here's some of my favorite curly hair products: Camille Rose - Lavender Fresh Cleanse Camille Rose - Oud Rich Infusion Moisture Treatment Camille Rose - Rose Cleansing Milk Camille Rose - Lavender Crush Defining Gel Camille Rose - Honey Hydrate Leave-In Hair Conditioner Camille Rose - SOYlicious Curl Enhancing Conditioner MIELLE - Babassu & Mint Deep Conditioner MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Styling Gel MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Scalp Treatment THE Mane CHOICE - Ancient Egyptian 24 Karat Gold Twisting Gel THE Mane CHOICE - Heavenly Halo Herbal Hair Tonic & Soy Milk Deep Hydration Conditioner THE Mane CHOICE - Heavenly Halo Herbal Hair Tonic & Soy Milk Deep Hydration Pre-Poo THE Mane CHOICE - Prickly Pear Paradise Minty Scalp Purifying Spray

QUICK, TRENDY PONY WITH ALL DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS✨
QUICK, TRENDY PONY WITH ALL DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS✨
Hey guys! Here is a ponytail I have been seeing all over Pinterest and wanted to recreate. For this look I used all drugstore hair products so it will be easily achievable at home. My hair has been recently bleached so it is on the dry side. I have been into creating hairstyles that require little treat so my hair can heal itself. Products: Leave in conditioner spray: aussie - Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner I recently bleached my hair and this product has been a life-savior for adding moisture back into my damaged hair. The product creates soft locks without feeling heavy/ looking greasy. It contains jojoba oil that provides a shiny finish. If you have damaged or dry hair, I definitely recommend using this product! Hairspray: aussie - Headstrong Volume Hairspray with Bamboo & Kakadu Plum I have been using this hairspray forever! I do prefer the other spray-mist version but this one works just as well. This hairspray holds all day/night and does not have any strong fumes that most drugstore hairsprays have. For the look, I sprayed down flyaways and laid some baby hairs to clean up the look. To do: (Follow along with the video) - Spray hair with leave in conditioner mist - Put hair into a pony tail and secure elastic with a section of hair to wrap around - Hairspray down flyaways/ baby hairs - Work in 1-2 inch sections all the way down the ponytail with small elastics, pulling the sections to create a fuller ponytail Song 🎶: Not to Cray by Huma Huma #CheriePartner

Curly Hair - Wash-n-Go Routine
Curly Hair - Wash-n-Go Routine
For those that don't have curly hair you might not know what a Wash-n-Go is, well it's just what it sounds like! You wash your hair and go, which for curly hair is a lot easier said than done! My Wash-n-Go routine is pretty straightforward - I wash and detangle my hair in the shower, use a leave-in conditioner and then finish off with a gel. I let my hair air dry and try my hardest not to touch it! On days two, three and beyond I touch up as needed, use an oil to soften the gel and try to rock my curls for as long as I can! Here's a break down of what I used: Camille Rose - Lavender Fresh Cleanse - it's detangling and moisturizing, cleanses using apple cider vinegar which my hair loves, and smells amazing! Plus it's only $8! I will repurchase this forever and ever. Camille Rose - SOYlicious Curl Enhancing Conditioner - made with soybean oil, avocado butters, jojoba oil and honey this conditioner is very emollient and easily detangles. Camille Rose - Curlaide Moisture Butter - this isn't my favorite leave in, but it does the job. It has jojoba and macadamia nut oils, aloe juice, vitamin C and elm extract to encourage hair growth, soothe the scalp and moisturize curls. I prefer this on its own without a gel! Camille Rose - Lavender Crush Defining Gel - this extra hold gel is hands down my favorite. I use it for my Wash-n-Go, for slicked back looks, for everything! Even with the extra hold it won't make the hair crunchy and lasts for days and days. It's also made up of oils so it is nourishing the hair as well.

A tale of two strands 💁🏾‍♀️
A tale of two strands 💁🏾‍♀️
In normal circumstances, I would have headed over to my local African salon that isn’t that far from me. Alas, it is the year of corona and I’m not going to risk it for any biscuit. There was only one option: To let my thick, 4C hair breathe. I have a lot of hair and after months of being under wraps I knew I needed to: detangle, shampoo, condition and mask moisturize 💦 and then get to twisting. In that order. After I got through the first three bullets, I got out my detangling comb, MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner , MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Twisting Soufflé and Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil . I separated my hair into quadrants and worked my way from the back, sides, then to the front. After using the two Mielle products, my hair felt moisturized and it was easier to twist. (It had a better hold.) I used varying sizes so the twists will have more definition when I decide to untwist them. Update: I have had the twists in for almost a week now and something I would change is I should have made the twists tighter at the top. Since I didn’t start higher up, my hair is frizzier at the roots than I would like.

DIY 🥑favorite HAIR TREATMENT
DIY 🥑favorite HAIR TREATMENT
DIY 🥑favorite HAIR TREATMENT of all time 😱❤I shared this two years ago and I remember it went viral 🙊 Here is the updated video version -Mix in a container 3 avocados and 3 spoons of olive oil. ( depending on how much hair you have you might use less than this) Then proceed to apply it from the top to the bottom and let it sit for about 30 to 45 minutes Finally wash your hair with water and shampoo as you normally do. Apply once or twice a week for the best results ever ✨😍 If your hair is really greasy I would only apply it from the middle to the bottom of the hair. If you have dry hair: apply it on all your hair as I do on this video. Avocado 🥑 is an excellent ingredient for treating damage hair, the natural oils provide deep hydratation because is rich in fatty amino acids that coat your hair shaft and help it retain moisture. Olive oil: Almost fifty percent of hair treatments include olive oil because it is rich with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, olive oil retains the moisture in your hair and stimulates their growth it will protect your hair against dirt, pollution and strong sunrays. ✨👌🏻 ]
