💄I came to tell it like it is
This was made for dry curls ➰
Hey curlfriends👋🏾 just stopping by to give you the deets on Mielle’s new moisture rx collection (products are listed in order of use): Hair Type: 3c/4a gurl ➰ MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Shampoo Let’s start with this bad boy. Now I’ve used mielle’s co-wash in the past so I expected nothing but greatness from this product. In terms of functionality the pump was a struggle at first, I definitely had to put some arm strength into this one. It did take awhile to lather up, but once enough shampoo was applied I was all suddzy🧼 My hair did feel more moisturized after a single wash, shoutout to the avocado and ginger infused in this shampoo🥑 MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing & Anti-Breakage Conditioner When it came to moisture, this product wasn’t playing. Immediately after washing my hair with the anti-breakage shampoo I sectioned my hair and then combed this conditioner through each strand. When it comes to my curls, I am HEAVY with the conditioner. Once applied, I wrapped each section into two Bantu knots and then let it sit for about 15 minutes. Upon rinsing my hair, my hair felt very hydrated, I was quite pleased. (Don’t get me wrong, I definitely still needed more product in my hair to keep it from frizzing up🦚) It’s finally twisting time🧬 After I wash + deep condition, I then applied these 3 products to my two strand twists: MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Hair Butter MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Styling Gel These three products combined had my twists SOAKED with maximum hydration. My favorite out of the three was definitely the hair butter. The hair butter was the key to unlocking the next level of protective styles🗝 My hair was voluminous, defined, AND hydrated. What more could a curly girl ask for? I’ve used these products on 3 of my twist outs so far and they still haven’t failed me. I definitely recommend these products to anyone looking to add some moisture to their collection💧 Lastly, I went in with MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Scalp Treatment A little background on my skin type, I have very dry skin & when neglected I can get dry scalp as well. Once I finished my twists, I went through each part and spritzed this product onto my scalp. The texture was a bit oily, but soothing nonetheless! I would also like to shine light on the founder ⭐️ Monique Rodriguez⭐️ for being another pioneer to bring curly hair products to the forefront of beauty. I can’t say it enough, but support👏🏾Black👏🏾owned👏🏾beauty👏🏾brands.

DIY Halloween Mani 🕸💉
This is one of my favorite times of year, next to Christmas of course. I wanted to test my skills and do something a little more complex and this was the end result! I hope this can inspire someone else to attempt a lil spooky at-home set 👻 Majority of the products in this video were purchased from amazon. Check out my earlier nail posts for the deets! However, these are the polishes used in the video: KIARA SKY - Sock-Off Gel Polish Colorbase In ♠️back to black, 🌸exposed, and ☄️sunburst. Kiara sky gel nail polishes glide onto the nail so effortlessly and never chip! I can really tell the difference between these polishes and the $8 ones I’ve purchased from amazon. My goal is to have all of the colors one day... maybe they’ll sponsor me 🙂 lol #iwish Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed my lil spooky diy set!

Fenty Skin❌ It’s a no from me, dawg
I had such high hopes because I am a L O V E R of Fenty Beauty and Rihanna of course. However, I have so much to say about these products but will break it down why I wouldn’t recommend these products to anyone: 1. FENTY SKIN - Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser If I had to choose a favorite, this would be it. Every single one of her products has fragrance, but this was the least floral of them all. I have very sensitive and dry skin so I am always weary of trying new products on my face and unfortunately these didn’t make the cut. This cleanser claims to be a makeup remover and cleanser in one, but C H I L E the way my mascara and foundation were hanging on for dear life... I even tried double cleansing with the cleanser but eventually had to use another form of makeup remover to successfully remove the residue. My favorite part of the product is that its loaded with Barbados cherry (acerola) and I definitely felt it afterwards. This cleanser did not leave me feeling stripped or dry, which most cleansers have my skin feeling T H I R S T Y💧 However, I didn’t feel like I received the best “cleanse” from this so I give this one 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. FENTY SKIN - Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum It’s the astringent named witch hazel for me. Now I will say I was very excited about this product, especially because of the name. Fat water... FAT WATER!? Like it couldn’t have been more spot on. However, this bad boy does have witch hazel. As witch hazel is found to have some positive and negative properties it’s just not for my dry skin. Witch hazel does help with excess oil, but it’s like what if you don’t have that 🥺👉🏾👈🏾? A pro to this product is that it contains my girl N I A C I N A M I D E. Big ups to Fenty skin for putting niacinamide at the forefront because who doesn’t love an ingredient that reduces dark spots and evens skin?... I’ll wait. Overall, after using this product the corners of my mouth began to slightly crack and there was a stinging sensation upon application. If no one ever told you this, I will. If the product stings, stop using it. This is why I had to give fat water a whopping 2 stars ⭐️⭐️ 3. FENTY SKIN - Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen You know that cherry blossom lotion from Victoria’s Secret? Now imagine that all over your face... now I’m not saying the ingredients are the same because they aren’t, but BOY did this one smell T E W good. My biggest criticism with this moisturizer is that the smell was overpowering. I’m disappointed there was fragrance in these products at all honestly. The moisturizer felt a tad greasy on my skin and I did wake up with a little guy on my cheek. After a few breakouts I stopped using the moisturizer and all of the products together. Unfortunately I have to give this moisturizer 1 star ⭐️ I ended up having to give all of these goods I purchased to a friend who wanted them😔

Tangles no more! Ankh’s Detangler saved my wig
Yes, this is HUMAN HAIR! I’m wearing a Raw Indian Curly wig unit from berrysleekstylez.com & the hair has been lovely thus far. I’ve had the unit in for about two weeks and the hair has started to tangle over time... it’s just SO much hair. However, I recently stumbled upon Ankh - Iris Leave-in Detangler which has rightfully earned its 5 stars. This leave in detangler has served as a 2-in-1 for me. Not only did it detangle the hair on the unit but it relieved an extremely itchy scalp underneath. All I did was spritz a few pumps on the unit and then “gently” combed through it. As for my scalp, my head was itching so badly underneath my wig I barely could sleep. I peeped that the leave in was also a calming relief for irritated and dry scalps and it did just that. I was asleep within minutes after giving my scalp a good spritz of this. Aloe Vera, lavender, AND almond oil?! Sign me up.

How I Cleanse: Sensitive Skin Edition
Get👏🏾Into👏🏾It👏🏾 so this here is my cleansing routine and let’s just say my skin has been looking flawless hunty! I have combination skin (MOSTLY DRY) and very eczema prone. I’ve been following the 60 second rule coined by LA’s very own LABeautyologist. She is a very well respected esthetician known to give some of the best beauty/skincare tips. In my routine I wash with a cleansing balm for 30 seconds THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm and then wash with my CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser for another 30 seconds. This routine is very gentle on my skin and doesn’t leave my skin feelin THIRSTY💦 This is my morning and night ritual and I definitely would recommend for normal - dry skin types.

DIY Aloe Vera Ice Cubes 🧊
It turns out aloe vera ice cubes are the key to tighter, de-puffed skin! What ice does, is it constricts the vascular system, so you're really able to pump those lymph nodes out and really tighten the skin. I use these ice cubes at least every other day. The gel left behind you can leave on your skincare for 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Or you can also leave it overnight.
WHICH ONE IS REALLY DOES WORK⁉️
well i have tried both cleansers and in my opinion 🤷 CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin this one is not for me i have combinations and sensitive skin when i used this cleanser it over dried my face right after wash! Aveeno - Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser this one is my new Fav its so calming to the skin never leaves face dehydrated!! its like moisturizer infused cleaser i should say, So if you have combination and sentive skin i Highly recommend Aveeno cleaner!!💕 Let's stay Hydrated 😚🥰

The Best At Home Facial
I was introduced to the Hanacure All-In-One Facial from my friend, Hila Karmand. She’s an amazing make-up artist and suggested I try it to deal with my hyperpigmentation and large pore issues. Not only did this facial deal with those issues, but it helped tighten and even out my skin’s texture. I love the way it makes my combination skin feels after I use it. I try to use this facial at least once every two weeks. The price of this facial may seem a lot for some ($29 for the starter single use and $110 for a facial set of 4), but I highly recommend it for those who want a youthful glow.

Different Toners For Different Skin Issues
I’ve had my fair share of skin issues in the past. I have combination skin that tends to fluctuate between oily and dry. I also get pimples occasionally, as well as blackheads and whiteheads. Here are three toners I’ve used that tackle different skin issues. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution This is actually my go-to toner these days. It contains 7% glycolic acid which is already effective in brightening up the skin and lightening dark spots but is still gentle enough to avoid skin irritations. I typically use this during my PM routine since Glycolic Acid is an AHA that can cause extra sun sensitivity. Take note, it’s not recommended to use your palms to apply this, so it’s better to use a cotton pad or cotton ball instead. Nonetheless, I’m really loving the effect of Glycolic Acid on my skin. COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner Centella Water Toner is what I use whenever I get breakouts. I’ve already featured it in a few other reviews before because that’s just how much I love it. I still use this in the morning even if I don’t have pimples, but when I do, I skip the glycolic acid and use this instead. I even soak a cotton ball in it and press it against particularly big pimples just to make sure that it seeps in. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner This is what I used before I switched to the Glycolic Acid toner. I also used it for my PM routine. At $13, it’s certainly affordable enough. Its consistency is very watery, the same as the other toners in this list. Since it’s an AHA/BHA toner, it’s supposed to have the same effects as the glycolic acid toner. But while it did complement my other AHA products well, the effects weren’t as noticeable, even after I finished the whole bottle. Final verdict? Obviously, I really enjoy using the glycolic acid toner and the Centella water toner. In fact, the GA one is on my HG list right now. I’m still on the lookout for good toners for pimples, but I think I’ll finish the Centella water toner bottle first before buying another one. As for the AHA/BHA toner, it’s not a bad product at all, but I just don’t see a reason to repurchase it.

Hydrating Toner For Acne ✨
My skin has fallen in love with this toner. If toners aren’t you thing hey, this is a total judge free zone. My skin loves a toner. A good toner will: cleanse any excess dirt & oils have at least 2 hydrating ingredients will show results immediately to 48hrs I have also been getting into K-Beauty. I love the ingredients and the focus of their products. So when I ran into this brand Peach Slices. I was excited. peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner (They are currently on sale at Ulta buy one get one 40%) I love the ingredients in this toner! Snail Mucin: a staple ingredient in K-Beauty. It helps to promote collagen as skin renewal. Snail mucin is comprised of collagen, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, and antibacterial properties. Hyaluronic Acid: my favorite humectant. This is key for a lot of skincare products. It helps to bring moisture (water) back into your skin and keep it plump and supple. Cica: “ Centella Asiatica “ is a plant that has many properties. My favorite is antioxidant. This is also amazing for irritated or compromised skin. I think this is my favorite ingredient and what helps my acne. Experience: I love how this toner made my skin feel! It’s a toner and essence together in my opinion. I’ve used this for 3 days and my skin has just loved it. I try to keep a K-beauty toner during my day time routine because they tackle so many things! So, using this during the day, my skin was hydrated, soft. My acne and texture issues seem to clear up quicker to. I used a quarter size on a cotton round and gently patted it into my skin after cleansing. It’s $13 at Ulta, but I wish i had gotten more product. I will repurchase this toner though. It’s perfect for the fall/winter months and my acne did clear up faster!

With patience, Differin worked for me!
I’ve always been skeptical of the products that cause purging, but while in quarantine I decided to give Differin a shot! My skin was congested, breakouts are always popping up, and they were painful. I’ve always been the kind of person to take care of my skin, but I couldn’t manage to get rid of my team for breakouts and the terrible texture on my cheeks and jawline. So, I gave Differin a try. - At first, my skin definitely was dry and irritated because of the product, but I made sure to moisturize well. I tried not to put any make up on and just let my skin do its thing. It’s also important to not pick at your face, which I am SO guilty of doing. - I know everyone’s skin is different, but it only took about a month for it to clear up! I just had another flare up but I’m not sure if it’s stressed related bc #unemployedgrad but this really helped me! Just stay consistent and you’ll see results quickly! 😇
