AliceInWonderlandWhen you are choosing a sunscreen try to avoid alcohol dehydrated as an ingredient. Thatās probably why you skin stings. Actually the same sunscreen from neutrogena you are using now but with spf 35 doesnāt contain this ingredient

Itās it really worth it?????
This product was really cool, I mean it comes in a cool container and there was a lot of hype about it , so I gave it a shot. I think it works but not as well as other products that I have tested out.
For eyes - it didnāt work for me as much as the GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask which really worked well for me. But the bubble wrap could work for you
For lips - it did plump like it said but it isnāt my favorite lip product that they do sell is Glossier. - Balm Dotcom it smells super good and it really helps
Tell my your experience with the Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream

DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum although this serum isnāt fungal acne safe, my skin seems to enjoy it. it has a gel texture and actually regulates my oily forehead

DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Deluxe Sample again... not fungal acne safe but STILL didnāt cause me to have any breakouts!! the protini feels similar in terms of thickness and the over all feeling on the skin but it feels more ā wearable ā
first aid beauty
āāāāāāāāā
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i was super excited to tey this out because the ingredients are fungal acne safe and the claims were ideal for my skin type but sadly i was disappointed š it didnāt control my oil but rather left mw with this shine on my forehead! and it didnāt moisture my dry cheeks. epic fail
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream this is a very basic fungal acne safe moisturizer i recommend to literally every one. i do like it and all but i find my skin still breaking out while i use this product. i would give it a 3 1/2 stars but i cant.

Apostrophe Update!
So far I am super happy with how my skin is looking! I started on January 6, and today is February 16. The end of my 90 days will be either at the end of March or at the beginning of April, so Iām about halfway there.
The struggle for me right now is that my skin changes day to day. One day I will wake up with lots of cystic pimples, and one dat, like today, my skin will have none. I definitely still have dark marks, but Iām okay with that for now! As long as they arenāt active I am happy lol. I still seem to get acne flares on my period, which is discouraging considering Spironolactone is for hormonal acne. Iām just trying to trust the processš§
I realized that I havenāt talked about my daily morning and night routine, so here it is!
Morning:
-cleanse with either PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser or CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser
-moisturize with either PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream or FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate
-apply spf with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40
-my makeup routine
At night:
-remove makeup with DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
-cleanse with CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser
-moisturize with FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate
-apply a pea sized amount of .025% Tretinoin
formula from Apostrophe - Topical Formula
-and of course some Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant on my lips before bed!

Two more empties:
HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray
Iāve already reviewed this toner on my previous post. I like the sprayer aspect but the formula is just meh. Nothing to write home about. Iāll keep the spray bottle to reuse again but probably wonāt repurchase this toner in the near future.
DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
The smell was a little weird at first, think olive oil, but overall the consistency and the way it felt being massaged into my skin won me over. I loved this product but will not be repurchasing due to the backlash the brand is receiving due to racist comments made by the brandās creator. As consumers, we are powerful. We have the power to perpetuate wealth for creators. We vote with our wallets. I will not continue to support or buy a brand that has questionable ethics. I have instead chosen to purchase THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm as itās replacement!
Have you tried these products?
What do you think?
Do ethics play in to which brands you purchase from?

January empties !!!
Letās start with those that I most likely would NOT repurchase:
ļæ¼ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream the aspect I liked least was the smell. I just couldnāt get over it! For that reason alone, I would not repurchase.
ļæ¼HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray nothing particularly exciting about this toner. I have some other toners Iāve had my eye on so Iām going to move onto something new next!
Next letās talk about what I would repurchase:
ļæ¼CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum very gentle retinol serum, great brand, what more can I say?
ļæ¼COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence this had me glowing at first! But I feel that the improvements I initially saw faded after awhile and I havenāt noticed the same results since. I do like using this as another layer of moisture in the cooler months.
Finally, letās talk about what Iāve already repurchased:
ļæ¼The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this serum is fantastic! I get some larger hormonal breakouts along my jaw line and I feel like since Iāve started using this product, it does a great job keeping those pesky pimples as minimal as possible. Iām not sure how it compares to other brandsā Niacinamide products but I sure do The Ordinaryās version!

My Current AM Routine
I feel like my routine is always changing due to purchasing new products to try and review, however here is my current AM routine.
HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash (fragrence free)
I've only just recently started using this, but I will say I like this one. I find it similar to LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser Holifrog is a little more hydrating since it feels like a lotion than a cleanser. The La Roche cleanser is a good dupe if you need something a little cheaper and at the convince stores. If you have dry skin I highly recommend Holifrog, but if you have normal to oily skin and are just experiencing some sensitivity (like your skin barrier) then I would go with La Roche.
COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence (fragrence free)
I really enjoy this product because I feel like I am getting a good size value for the price. It also doesn't feel any different than any other HA essence or serum that I've tried (one being a very expensive one).
Krave - Great Barrier Relief (fragrence free)
This guy is definitely my holy Grail and I have reviewed it before. I use it daily due to my dry skin, but if you have normal to oily skin I definitely recommend having this on hand especially if you like to try new products and if it possibly irritates you or if you over do actives.
PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum (fragrence free)
I've also done a review already on this one. It is very potent and has a stable form of vit C, however unless you are trying to severely even out skin tone or remove dark spots, I would not spend the money. It is definitely pricey (almost $100). If you really need the potency of this product, then go ahead. Otherwise if you are just looking to fix minor issues/use it to go along with your spf, I'd go with a cheaper (still stable) product likeTHE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml(I have not personally tried this inkey list product, but have heard good things about it's ingredients as well as being a reasonable price)
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (fragrence free)
I am really enjoying this new product. It is a step up fromCeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream which I also love for the simplicity and price value, but this one has even more soothing ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal. I like to use this in the morning because it doesn't make my face overly shiny before I head out the door and it also goes well under make up (with a primer of course)
#Deoproce - Hyaluronic Cooling Sun Gel spf 50[products]#[FourStars] (NOT fragrence free)
I just recently bought this sunscreen and it is my first Korean spf. I love how easily it goes on and it gives me enough glow without looking greasy. My complaint would be that it's not fragrence free, but I'm happy it got me started. Next I'll likely try Krave - The Beet ShieldorTHANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream

Dry, redness prone, sensitive skin
Hi everyone :)
Since I can remember Iāve dealt with dry and sensitive skin. My skin is always red to some level.
Iāve been to dermatologists in the past and they always said it was something I would grow out of. Iām 27 and while my skin has improved over time, I still have a lot of redness. I was never told that I have rosacea, but Iām pretty thatās what Iām dealing with!
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for products that might help? While my current routine works well for my skin, Iām curious to see if thereās anything else I could incorporate to help with my redness.
Thanks in advance!

Tretinoin updates! 1 month and 2 weeks in!
I was feeling a bit down about my skin today so I looked at the photos from a month ago to see where my progress stands. Iāll say Iām pleased :). I used my āSkin Progressā photo album which has 51 photos in total. The album has shots of all three regions of my face and Iāve been taking these photos ever since April 18, two days after my birthday. When I feel like my skin is crappy I always look through the horrific period of time where I was using the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum *shudder* and I usually always feel a bit better about where Iām at š
As for now Iām really really debating incorporating a gentle chemical exfoliant like the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HAor going back to using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%to help boost my skins recovery. I have been able to use tretinoin every night without any crazy dryness or discomfort (knock on wood) so I think Iām ready. I just donāt know whether I should incorporate something to help the tret or just let my skin do her thing.
I finally have a stable skincare routine again (halllleeelluujjjaahhh) which is:
Am:
GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water
Cleocin t 1%
THE inkey LIST - Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer
Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100
Pm:
GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water
ALMAY - ALMAY Makeup Remover + Foaming Lotion Cleanser
Tretinoin .025%
CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
Iāll be back with more picture updates in two weeks for my two month benchmark!

The uphill battle with my skin
āIt gets worse before it gets better.ā Thats become an everyday phrase for those of us who do skincare and incorporate exfoliating acids or something of the sort. For me, I started using tretinoin .025% last month on the ninth and a month later I can tell you: Itās gotten worse and Iām praying it gets better.
If youāve been following my skincare journey then you will know that around august of this year my skin began to act completely crazy. My cheeks began to break out really bad and my forehead texture got worse.
Iām going to blame my current acne situation on purging because hopefully my skin isnāt having a bad reaction.
I downgraded my skincare regimen by a LOT, I mean I went from a 8 step night routine to a 4 step night routine so that my skin can breathe and do her thing.
The emotional aspect of being on this medicine has certainly drained me. There have been quite a few days where I have cried because my confidence is really in the gutters right about now. I donāt even feel right wearing extravagant eye makeup because my skin looks so crazy. But even with all the emotional ups and downs I know I have to be persistent and keep pushing through so that I will hopefully see improvement in another two months.
My skincare regimen has changed a lot but Iāve finally found a stable routine with some products that Iāve committed to which are:
CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water
THE inkey LIST - Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer
Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100
3m acne absorbing patches
Tretinoin .025%
Cleocin t 1%

Simple AM Routine for Dry Sensitive Skin āļø šµ
This is my boyfriendās simple AM skincare routine (created by me! š). Before we met 3 years ago, he never moisturized or used sunscreen, and washed his face with body wash. š± As you can imagine, his skin used to be hella dry and dehydrated, and his skin barrier was damaged.
He has very dry, sensitive skin, isnāt acne-prone, and likes simple and quick routines so that he doesnāt have to spend too much time getting ready.
āļøAM Routine
1. Water rinse face - both he and I skip morning cleansing as to not overly strip the skin of its natural oils.
2. ETUDE - Soon Jung, 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
This cream has been a lifesaver for his skin! It has ingredients like Madecassoside to repair the skin barrier. On my combo skin, this cream sits a little too occlusive and shiny, but his skin drinks it up without it being too heavy. Many other simple moisturizers such as the Cerave Moisturizing Cream sting his skin, but this moisturizer does not.
3. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+
This sunscreen is a bit too moisturizing for me, but works well with his dry skin. It has a shiny finish on me, but absorbs more dewy on his skin and doesnāt feel heavy or sticky.
His PM routine is also posted on my page!

Youth to the People Empties š
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
I was looking for a gentle cleanser and bought this sample-sized bottle after hearing Hyram rave about this product. I also have a friend with oily skin who loves this cleanser.
Texture - the texture is the same consistency as a shampoo or liquid soap, and becomes a foamy lather when you rub it onto your face.
Scent - I actually quite enjoyed the scent of this product. It does not contain synthetic fragrance, but it smells like a green smoothie.
Application - YTTP packages their products in glass bottles and jars, which I appreciate from a sustainability standpoint. But it does make this product a little risky to use if you wash your face in the shower. I accidentally dropped my bottle in the shower onceāit didnāt shatter, but it chipped a piece of enamel off of my bathtub š Other than that, the product was easy to pour out of the bottle.
Results - I wasnāt a huge fan of this product. It didnāt cause any breakouts or irritation, but every time after I used it, my face would feel tight and dry, and I felt like I would have to immediately moisturize. I think it was too harsh for my sensitive skin, but people with oily or more resilient skin might like this. Would not repurchase for myself, I ended up finishing this product off as a body wash š¤·š»āāļø
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi
I received this mini jar as a sample in one of my Sephora orders.
Texture - the texture is a slightly whipped cream. It reminds me of Cool Whip in the tub, but slightly thicker in consistency.
Scent - like the cleanser, this also does not have synthetic fragrance, but Iām not sure how to describe the scent? It kind of smelled like flour mixed with baby powder to me, but it wasnāt too overpowering or obvious.
Application - this comes in a glass jar.
Results - I felt very neutral about this product. I saw that some people experienced irritation due to sensitivity to the mushrooms in this product, but I didnāt experience any. It moisturized my face fine, but felt no different than an average drugstore moisturizing cream. Given this and the fact that the price for the full-sized jar is rather high, I would not repurchase. If you end up trying this product out, I suggest patch testing to be sure that you donāt have a sensitivity to the mushrooms.
Hope this helps! I know Hyram and a lot of other people love this brand, and I appreciate their commitment to sustainability. However, I felt pretty meh about both of these products and am not super interested in anything else from them at this point in time.

Becoming a little obsessed with āKraveā š
Disclaimer!
I have combination- more oily, acne prone and sensitive skin, what may work for me may not work for you!
If you want a soothing, no-frills moisturiser, I think I found you the perfect match
After trying out the Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser I was at a point where my moisturiser was running out and thought I might as well try the Krave moisturiser too if I liked the cleanser so much. My previous moisturiser was too occlusive and thick for my skin type and made it difficult for me to layer other serums and steps in my routine.
The Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream is so light weight and has the texture between a light cream and a watery cream which is perfect for my combination- oily skin heading into spring. It sinks into the skin very quickly as well which is good if you have a lot of steps to your routine or dont like waiting in between. This is defiantly worth a try at least

Perfect travel kit from Youth to the People
Girl you KNOW I love a good skincare set. Especially one that lets me try new products (with a budget price) OR allows me to have convenient travel sizes when I travel.
This kit (the Youth Mini Duo YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Cleanser + Cream Youth Duo Mini ) from Youth to the People has been available on YTTPās website for over 2 years! It contains mini sizes of their cleanser & their lightweight moisture cream. I had previously tried their cleanser, which I LOVE (see below) but I hadnāt tried their moisture cream so I was excited to purchase this set!
For $20 (this doesnāt have an advertised āvalue ofā) I think this is a great deal! Plus their packaging is able to be recycled and up cycled!
Here are my thoughts on each individual product:
Cleanser: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser 5/5
Likes: this cleanser is so hydrating omg. It has a very slight lather from its thick gel consistency and washes away for a squeaky clean finish (similar to bar soap) but it doesnāt feel drying at all. It is a great basic cleanser that doesnāt upset sensitive skin!
Dislikes: WOW this smells very heavily of kale! Very earthy. I dislike that it doesnāt have a pump but it is a small inconvenience.
Moisture cream: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream 5/5
Likes: this cream...omg. It is such a UNIQUE experience. The cream itself is very light and airy, absorbing into the skin so fast! It did leave a somewhat matte appearance to my skin but no dry feeling. In fact, my skin felt EERILY soft. I was like? What? This is MY SKIN? Not a babyās butt? Plus I always get wary of products with natural ingredients because they often set off my sensitive skin. Well, not this baby!
Dislikes: again, the scent is VERY herbaceous + earthy. It doesnāt linger for long but wow. It does not smell pleasant.
Have you tried anything from Youth to the People?

OILY ACNE-PRONE SKINCARE ROUTINE
HOLI FROG - Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration
(Sobel Skin RX Retinol has no tag, 4/5 stars)
My go-to simple skincare routine!
My skin type is oily and acne-prone, but I am careful not to overstrip my skin because this would cause more oil production. I use this as an AM routine! Iāve been using these products consistently for 2 months now.
HoliFrog: The Superior Omega wash is one of my faves! I love how gentle this formula is. Itās perfect for my oily skin because it doesnāt leave my skin feeling dry yet it cleanses thoroughly. I love all of Holifrogās cleansers tbh!
Sobel Skin RX: I love using retinol! This formula is great because it doesnāt sting or burn my skin. Retinol really keeps my acne and oils at bay and this is a great formula! If you have sensitive skin you might want to dilute this by putting it after the moisturizer! I worked my way up to using this on bare skin before my moisturizer.
First aid beauty: This is a holy grail. Iāve been using this product for over a year now. I love how itās not too thick and blends easily. It sinks into the skin nicely so itās perfect for oily skin! It doesnāt leave an oily or greasy look to the skin at all. My favorite way to use this is before makeup because itās the perfect base for oily skin
I discovered this routine from reviews on Instagram and Cherie! Itās especially important for me to test out new retinols so that product may switch out every once in a while but this is just what Iāve been using at the moment āØ
