I started Accutane and it’s been a total game changer. Compared to how my skin used to be, this is an improvement! Aveeno and Aquaphor have been my go to with my (recently) dryer skin. Happy!

Slugging with Aquaphor Healing Ointment!
Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment Ok guys, I’ve heard about this a lot and my skin is so darn dry that no moisturizer lasts overnight. My skin ends up extremely dry and flaky and red the next morning and nothing is helping me heal or improve my skin. Everything I’ve tried kind of just helps short term and is good in the moment, bust still wears over time, so I’m going to try slugging! What is slugging? I wasn’t sure, so I googled what it really was and Byrdie said, “Slugging is a K-Beauty skincare trend which includes coating your face in petrolatum or Vaseline. This prevents transepidermal water loss and keeps moisture in your skin.“ This sounds like it would be worth a try, I am a side and tummy sleeper so I’m hoping that it doesn’t get all over my pillow. I’m only putting the Aquaphor on my chin area because that’s the only area where I feel I need it. I’ll keep updating as I keep doing it, but I’m really hoping this saves my skin! *morning of day 1: it worked! I just woke up and looked in the mirror and I didn’t see any flakiness!!!! I’m gonna keep trying it for a few days to see if I can really get that patch permanently fixed, I’m so excited! I’ve had that darn thing for years in the winter. *morning of day 3: WOW MY SKIN IS SMOOOOOOOTH AND SO NOT DRY! The only annoying thing is trying not to get it on my pillow since I’m a side/tummy sleeper but this is really working for me! And this is great because I meant to purchase hand cream, got this instead, and had no idea what to do with it until I heard about slugging.
Eczema flair ups
So after being home for what seems like forever, i’ve suddenly had a flair up of my eczema. It started off on my eyelids for a few months, then with quarantine, it started spreading in my left cheeks, my forehead was extremely dry and cracked, then all over my face. I used to not be sensitive with my acne skincare products, but the more my eczema got worst, the more sensitive my skin would get. Even a splash of water would irritate my skin. I stopped doing my regular skin care routine for a while, it was not doing me good with a compromised skin barrier (which is what eczema is). So this is what has been working for me, after trial and error, these two products together helped clear up my patches, and decrease my redness. Still a little flakey, but not as flakey as it was initially. I start off by cleansing my skin with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser it’s the only gentle cleanser i have. It still irritates my skin a little sadly, but i try to cleanse less, so usually PM only. And I would rinse my face with just water in the AM. Don’t feel the need that i should spend on another cleanser, since it’s hopefully just temporary until my skin barrier gets stronger. - then i would slather CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream all over my face on damped skin, avoiding my eye area. Its so thick and perfect for my extremely dry skin. Its so soothing and the ingredients are the best. It’s very hydrating, but just not thick enough for my eczema prone skin. Which is why i follow up with a thin layer of Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment prior to doing this, i would wake up with flakey dry skin in the morning, as if all the hydration has disappeared during my sleep. But this ointment helps lock in the cream and keeps my skin hydrated until the morning. Its great for everything tbh. I would also put this on my eyelids since i have redness there as well. (Side note: i’ve been using this for my cracked lips for years, it’s the absolute best for drugstore lip balm). But if you have those bad days where your lips gets extremely dry to the point that you don’t know what to do anymore and your regular lip balm that you’ve used for a lifetime does not work, i would recommend #La Roche-Posay - Cicaplast levres[products]#[FiveStars] you wake up the next day as if nothing has happened, you get completely healed lips. I swear by it!!! It’s very thick, with a mat finish, it’s nothing like other lip balms ive used before. It also contains great ingredients such as panthenol which is great for repairing. The less is better for eczema prone skin, and i hope these two holy grail products of mine works for you too. You really need patience, and so far i am loving the results. My patches has gone away and my redness is slowly calming down. I thought i would need a whole new routine but i will stick to this for now.

Are you getting a tattoo soon? Not sure how to take care of it? Well let me help! Here are my favorite products for tattoo aftercare and how I use them. All of my tattoos have healed beautifully using this method, but always listen to what your tattoo artist tells you! 1. After 2 hours, wash your hands and carefully remove the bandage that your tattoo artist placed. 2. Very gently wash your new tattoo with cold water and mild antibacterial soap. I use Dial Gold Antibacterial hand soap! 3. Carefully rinse soap suds away with cold water, then gently pat the tattoo dry with clean paper towel, or let it air dry. 4. Start with your lotioning regimen. I use Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant . Gently apply a very thin layer of ointment over the tattoo 3 times a day (can be 4 times a day during winter). 5. After 3-4 days, you have the option to switch to an unscented lotion. I use Aveeno - Moisturizing Lotion . 6. Continue your lotioning regimen until all flaking, peeling, and scabbing has naturally sloughed off. This process takes approximately 2-3 weeks. 7. Continue to lotion healed tattoo once a day for life to help prolong the quality of your tattoo! Make sure you don’t- - Apply an excess of ointment or lotion to your healing tattoo. - Pick or scratch your healing tattoo. Let the scabs slough off naturally; they will fall off on their own when they’re fully healed! - Use anything abrasive on healing tattoo, such as a washcloth or loofah. - Swim or submerge your healing tattoo in pools, baths, lakes, rivers, etc. (Do shower normally, but use caution under the direct water stream) - Expose your healing tattoo to direct sunlight. (Once healed, diligent sunscreen use will help prolong the life of your tattoo) I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions ☺️

Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion Product: It is used as a daily moisturizing lotion. Helps and moistures dry skin. It is thick enough to stay on the skin, but not too heavy on the skin. Opinion: I've been using this product for 2 months now. It is fragrance free smell, which I really like. I like this product because it helps my skin, especially during the cold season. I would recommend this product because it helped my skin feeling soft and smooth. This product is worth the money, it is not expensive.
Aveeno-Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Best lotion. Ever.
The Aveeno daily moisturizer is a basic every day body lotion. If you have dry skin, this lotion will keep you moisturized for up to 24 hours. It has a creamy texture and is unscented, which is the reason I’ve been using it for years! Probably since I was a teenager. I just can’t stand the strong scents of other specialty store lotions, and it actually dries and makes my skin feel so soft, while other lotions have me feeling greased up. It’s super affordable, under $10, and can be found in most drug stores, as well as big chain stores like Target and Walmart. It’s phthalate and paraben free, as well as aluminum free.Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Aveeno-Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I absolutely love this lotion!
Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion This oatmeal based lotion is claimed to moisturize skin for a full 24 hours & to help lock-in skin's moisture. It is clinically proven to improve skin's healthy look in 1 day. This lotion will leave skin smoother, softer and healthier. Targeted concerns include redness and dryness. It has a smooth consistency that’s thinner than cream but thicker than gel. It absorbs quickly!! I had major body hives/eczema and I was tired of using eucerin for how long it took to dry down and how it ruined my clothes for its stickiness. I looked into this product because I was attracted to the packaging! LOL $11.49 for 18 oz is totally affordable and it’s effective! I highly highly recommend this! It is scentless and not greasy at all! It is instantly absorbed into skin. It’s really amazing! I have full body eczema and this will relieve any itchiness and dryness. I always go back to this whenever I can’t get enough hydration for my skin when testing out other products! But I highly recommend doing a patch test. My niece also has eczema but she couldn’t use this product since she showed allergy to this. If you can use this product, you will absolutely love it! It lasts a really long time (lasted me a whole year!) 5 stars hands down and of course I most definitely recommend it! This current bottle is my 9th bottle. I’ve used this product for 9 years and I will continue to have a back up of it for years to come! This is one of my can’t live without products!
Aveeno-Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Moisturizer for sensitive skin
Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion is the perfect day moisturizer for the person who has sensitive, normal – dry skin. I have always heard great things about the brand Cerave, so when I was in the market for a new moisturizer (about 5 months ago) I decided to try this one because of their claims. Here is a little background on the product: “Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion has a unique, lightweight formula that provides 24-hour hydration and helps restore the protective skin barrier with three essential ceramides (1,3,6-II). The formula also contains hyaluronic acid to help retain skin’s natural moisture. Key points: • With ceramides 1, 3 and 6-II • Hyaluronic acid to help retain skin's moisture • Oil-free, Non-comedogenic • Fragrance-free • Gentle, non-irritating formula” This product works beautifully on sensitive skin. It has a lightweight/silky texture that easily absorbs into the skin. I love this moisturizer because it has no fragrance and does not make my skin feel overly hydrated. My husband also uses this moisturizer because he has very sensitive/acne prone skin and it works magic for him. I would definitely recommend this product to you if you are looking for a moisturizer because it is a reliable and affordable moisturizer. The cost of this product is $9-$12, depending on where you buy it from. It is 100% worth the price. You can find the Cerave Daliy Moisturizing Lotion at Walmart, Target, CVS, etc. Overall, this product has my stamp of approval and a 5/5 star rating from me.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin

I don’t have many products that focus on bodycare so I was excited when freskincare reached out, and I thought their Body Set would be perfect to add into my routine! Fré products are 100% vegan & cruelty free. They are also free from parabens, SLS, mineral oil, DEA, petroleum, PEG, and Propylene Glycol. The company plants an Argan tree in Morocco for every skincare set purchased! This helps to protect the environment and empowers the women in Morocco who harvest Argan oil. Their products contain their Argania Active Complex created from the kernel and leaf of the Argan tree! . Let’s get to the products: -Glow Body Nourishing Dry Oil: of the three products in the set this one is my favorite! The oil has a clean citrusy scent that I never knew I could like so much. It sinks in nicely and leaves my skin soo smooth, shiny, and healthy feeling. It’s rich in antioxidants and helps improve skin elasticity and suppleness. I love using this as my last step after the shower. -Purify Body Clarifying Cleanser: I love the gentle exfoliation in this cleanser and it has the same clean, fresh citrus scent as the oil. It lathers nicely and my skin feels clean and soft after using it. This cleanser helps to restore the natural pH balance of skin, and also aids in healing anti-inflammatory effects of UVA, UVB, and IRA rays. Since I’m outside more and trying to be more active I have loved having this cleanser in my routine! -Protect Body Defense Moisturizing Lotion: of the three products this one I haven’t been using due to the active ingredients. As I research more into SPF I’m trying to be very selective. This SPF unfortunately contains Homosalate, which I am trying to avoid. I did test it out however and it feels great on the skin! If you’re OK with that ingredient in your SPF than you will probably really enjoy this one!

I wish I could never run out of the Goddess Body Oil* that smells of sandalwood and jasmine. The Healing Propolis Balm* turns into oil with body heat and helps reduce irritation and redness. I have been using it as a lip balm. . Leahlani Bless Beauty Balm is another balm that just smells incredible. It's a floral scent that isn't too strong and leaves your skin soft and moisturized.
