altered PM routine for sensitive & dry skin
The temperatures dropped below 70 this weekend and my sensitive, dry skin started freaking out! So I revamped my routine to cater to my skin’s reaction to the cooler weather. My skin has been responding really well to the changes so far. More smoothness and less flakiness for sure! ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream

Nightly Skincare Routine
After trying a few skincare products by The Ordinary in September 2020 and really enjoying them, I decided to expand my collection a bit when they had their Black Friday sale. In the evening, after I cleanse, I apply The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 on my damp skin. It can be sticky if you use too much, a little goes a long way. Once that sets a bit, I massage in The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane I chose this particular retinoid because I tend to have sensitive skin, more so in the colder months. Once I’m finished with this bottle, I may try a more potent retinoid. I then apply a liberal amount of The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I really love this moisturizer. Some say it’s to heavy, but on my aging skin it’s perfect. Once that has soaked in a bit, I add a nice layer of The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane to lock in the moisture. It soaks in pretty quickly and I don’t stick to my pillow case at all. Then of course I slather on some e.l.f. - Ride or Die Lip Balm in mighty mint. I wake up with my lips nice and moist. Once the cold months hit, I generally suffer from peri-oral dermatitis. But this year, because of my deeply moisturizing skincare routine, I have not suffered from it. This products have been a game changer. Especially at their price point.
Achieving The “Airbrushed” Look 🤎
Start with making sure your face is prepped and clean and moisturized! I start with Simple - Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 make sure your face is damp when applying so it’ll retain the moisture! This is important Then I seal it in with The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane Make sure to wait 30 seconds to let these products seal in. Makeup: For foundation COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation Now before I blend it in I spray my setting spray and let it dry a little before.. this will make it looked airbrushed!!! It’s important trust me. Then I use my REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge For concealer I use the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer I use the #Maybelline - Fit Me Loose Powder[products]#[FiveStars] and this stuff is great especially if you’re taking pictures or using a ring light! I use a dark concealer for my contour e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer And the wet n wild - Color Icon Bronzer Square I love this stuff it blends so well!! Then I use MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush in luminoso it’s the best For highlighter I use wet n wild - MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in precious petals this applies so good I use the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara After I spray my NYX - Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray and use my beauty blender to make sure everything sets properly! For my lips I use NYX - Suede Matte Lip Liner in Brown And NYX - Butter Gloss in Praline Then layer a coat of NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream in Cairo Let me know any suggestions in the comments of your fave products! 🤎

This is a very good product. If you can look past how gross it may seem to put snail goop on your face, I promise, it is worth it. Made of 96% snail muccin, it's good for all skin types in my opinion. It's fragrance and essential oil free (which I am a big proponent of especially with leave on treatments). It is very hydrating and plumps the skin without it feeling heavy. My skin soaks it in father quickly. It is also at a good price point, making me say 5/5 stars.
Trying to find the culprit... HELP!
Ever since I’ve added these two new products, I’ve noticed a couple new breakouts in places i’ve never experienced!!! They are red painful pimples too. Two on my forehead (I never get them there) , one on the outside of my nostril (i never get them there either), and the weirdest singular pimple on my NECK! Both of these products I have used on my face and neck, however, I’m not sure what product or ingredient is causing the sudden breakout!! Or is it just purging??? Help!!!!!! Did anyone else experience this with these products??? COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel
My Korean Skincare Routine for Acne!!
SATURDAY SKIN - RISE + SHINE Purifying Cleanser AROMATICA - Rose Absolute First Serum MIZON - Snail Recovery Gel Cream BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner I was on accutane for 4 months in 2019, and I thought I found the cure for my acne. Unfortunately, I started breaking out again in February of 2020. My breakouts went back and forth, but either way they left me with more PIE (Post Inflammatory Erythema aka those RED/PINK marks leftover from acne) My skin was also insanely dry and painful!! Any face wash I used just burned and irritated my skin even more! I didn’t have a consistent skincare routine, so I turned to peachandlily.com to look for a Korean skincare routine that’s also cruelty free. I think I found my new go to routine! It’s pretty simple, but after only 2 weeks I am satisfied with the products so far. Of course they don’t create miracles, but I don’t have any current breakouts (which I’m surprised my skin didn’t purge), my skin is MUCH more hydrated, and I feel as though my PIE looks slightly lighter! I started with the Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser, then use the Banila Co Dear Hydration toner to help with my acne, follow it with the Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, and finish it off with the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel! The Saturday Skin cleanser surprisingly leaves my skin moisturized! The Banila Co toner has peppermint extract to help calm acne. The Aromatica serum has niacinamide which is supposed to help calm acne and fade both PIE and hyperpigmentation. The Snail Recovery Gel has snail mucin to help calm acne and also moisturize with anti-aging effects! Overall I’m very satisfied with this new routine, and I will update in a month to see how my skin is doing!
Current skincare products ✨
Just wanted to share a few products that have been working really well for me to keep my skin clear, glowing, and hydrating. By the way the reason it says my "dark spots" are so high is because it's counting my freckles :( The toner I am using is BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner It is so light and really hydrates my skin. I find that whenever I use it my skin is much softer and much more dewy. EDIT- this has denatured alcohol as the 4th ingredient so I stopped using it. As a night cream I use ANDALOU NATURALS - 1000 Roses, Heavenly Night Cream for Sensitive If you were to pick any night cream, this one is AMAZING. It is so hydrating but light, and it soaks in quickly. Pairs great with the toner. For cleanser I use the basis - Sensitive Skin Bar It is so good. Not only does it get everything off, it also moisturizers and doesn't strip the skin of necessary natural oils. It's the best cleanser I've ever used. As a face mask that I use every 2 weeks, I use FACETORY - All About Balance Box for Combination Skin Masks. They are so hydrating and clear my skin right up!!! The only reason I give them 4 stars is because peel off face masks are not good for the planet. Tip: save the extra serum inside the mask package to put on your skin ! In the daytime I use ANDALOU NATURALS - Facial Lotion, 1000 Roses, Daily Shade, SPF 18, Sensitive . It’s so hydrating and soaks in easily, but never clogs my pores ! I love the SPF it has, too. In my eye area, I always use OLE HENRIKSEN - Total Truth Eye Creme SPF 15 The skin absorbs the amount of this product needed, you only need a little bit. It's not greasy. I will say it takes about 15 minutes to fully absorb, but it's worth it because it helps brighten your under eye area and leaves your eye area and brow bone smooth and healthy. It's very gentle and unscented as well. As my SPF, I am a huge fan of SKINCEUTICALS - Physical UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 30 It protects my skin very, very well and wears great under makeup. The price point is higher, but this is such a high quality sunscreen that it's 100% worth it. For acne, I use Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatment Which works well on acne and is a pretty basic benzol peroxide treatment. For my lips, I use sun bum - Mineral Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 30 If I could rate this 6 stars, I would. It keeps my lips moisturized and protected for hours after I apply it. I take this EVERYWHERE. If you made it down here, thanks for reading ! ! ly <3

Completely erase your deep wrinkles with this
I have struggled with harsh lines since my 20’s. The furrow line in my forehead is so pronounced I didn’t believe there was a skincare solution. I’ve switched my nighttime and daytime routine around three times since I started Cherie because of the knowledge I’ve gained from Cherie members and board certified dermatologist Dr.Dray. Here is what I do; Morning Routine 💙I rinse my face with water - DO NOT CLEANSE (I have an article on my page as to why you should not cleanse in the morning please check it out) 💜 AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) this product makes your skin smooth and brighten and it actually preps the skin to allow better absorption of the next product 💛Vitamin C serum is applied, vitamin c helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines 💚hyaluronic acid it plumps my skin up 🧡neutrogena hydro boost with spf 50. This is a water gel lotion with hyaluronic acid 🤍I finish with Avene moisturizing protecting lotion, this lotion I swear by it. It doesn’t claim to reduce fine lines but as soon as I put it on all my forehead wrinkles smooth right out. ➡️sometimes I add Vaseline to the sensitive areas of my face if I’m staying home the under eye where crows feet are and the furrow in my forehead. Doing this protects the skin barrier because it locks in the moisture from your products and slows down their absorption rate which means you benefit more from them. Nighttime routine 💛oil based cleanser. Oil based cleansers break up makeup, sunscreen and sebum more efficiently than regular gel cleansers 💙gel based cleanser next, it completely cleans the face from any left over oil cleanser ♥️ toner maybe twice - three times a week but not everyday as it’s winter the air is dry, toner can be even more drying 💚Retinoid serum comes next, but the face should be dry. 🧡Niacinamide to reduce the appearance of pores and fine line. 💜Vitamin E at the end of the day helps your skin barrier restore itself from the pollutants and uva and uvb exposure 🤎moisturizer is second to last on my routine, 💖last but not least in fact one of the most important things is SLUGGING! petroleum jelly is smeared on my face focused on the underlines where crows feet show, the furrow on my forehead - I don’t do my neck. I explained up above why this benefits you. ❇️so after 1 month of doing this my wrinkles have erased and my pores look great❇️ Fourth Ray - Reveal 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Serum TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum Fourth Ray - Hyaluronic Hydra Duo Skincare Kit Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 Avene moisturizing cream DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil Fourth Ray - Remedy 10% Niacinamide Serum Vitamin E from TrueSkin Avene moisturizing cream Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original
Overall not bad and does what you want
DHC oil is a good first (aka oil based) cleanser that will definitely take on spf to your more heavier make up looks. I give it three stars because this is my first oil based cleanser once finding out more about skin care and am unsure how it stacks up compared to other brands. I recommend this more for dry skin since it does feel a bit more hydrating and I could imagine it being a bit heavy for oily skin. Sadly, it is not fragrance free. DHC oil does contain Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil. Since it is a wash off treatment, it should be ok for your skin, however if you already have sensitive skin and/or allergic to fragrance, I would refrain. It is my personal beleif that fragrance and essental oils don't have a place in good skin care so I'll empty this guy out and look for another brand ❤️

Hey y’all! Jumping on the trend, here is my day/night skincare routine MINUS treatments, because I simply could not fit them in!!! Morning: Cleanser Toner 3 serums 2 “eye” creams (I use Purito for my smile & forehead lines, inkey for my inner corner eye because it is super dry due to allergies) Water cream moisturizer Sunscreen Lip balm/salve Evening/Night: Cleansing balm Salicylic acid cleanser Toner 2 serums 2 “eye” creams Moisturizer Vaseline stick balm (dry eyes again) Lip balm/salve Treatments I use: THE inkey LIST - Succinic Acid Acne Treatment I use this as an acne spot treatment when I feel like I need it The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I use this once a week as my chemical exfoliant THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum I use this once a week, currently working it Into my routine (on my second week) & over my moisturizer How am I doing? Any recommendations? Let me know below! PS- I like a huge routine because it makes me feel bougie. I know many of these are not necessary, but I like to use them regardless 😄
Updated AM Routine
My first post was about my AM routine, and since it’s been 6 months, I thought it would be a good time to post an updated AM routine! For reference, I have dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. So here are the products I currently use- 1. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser I recently made the switch from CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser , and I am absolutely loving it! It’s still gentle, but it provides an amazing deep clean! My skin is so soft and clean after using it. It’s the perfect first step for my routine. I use one pump with my Innerneed silicone face scrubber. ($8.99 for 8oz at Target.) 2. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This hyaluronic acid solution contains 5 different molecular weight of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. It has a gel-like texture. I apply a small amount on damp skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and glowing. ($15.89 for 5.75oz on Amazon.) 3. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin : This is the moisturizer that I keep coming back to. I have yet to find one that I like better! It’s very thick and moisturizing. It absorbs best when I apply it while my skin is still damp from the hyaluronic acid lotion. It provides a matte finish and keeps my skin soft & hydrated throughout the day! ($9.99 for 8oz at Target.) 4. Krave - The Beet Shield : This is my favorite sunscreen! It’s unlike any sunscreen I’ve ever tried. It’s so light, not sticky, and hydrates my skin! I can reapply it throughout the day without feeling like I have a ton of product on my face. This is my one “splurge” product! ($20 for 1.69oz at Kravebeauty.com) Total routine costs: $54.87 Stay tuned for my PM routine!

My P.M Skincare routine
It took me about a year to formulate and create a skin care routine that catered to my own skin perfectly. I must say, I have come a long way from using witch hazel and apricot scrubs and figured out what my skin needs. It’s amazing progress. Hopefully this year I will incorporate a retinol into my routine.
Overhyped products; didn’t see a difference
I’ve used these products consistently over the period of a couple months (not necessarily in combination with each other). I haven’t noticed a difference and realize I don’t particularly love the feel of serums and oils. Here’s my review of each product individually and one ordinary product that I do feel like makes a difference. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I was super excited to try and love this product and was mainly wanting help with blackheads on my nose. I haven’t noticed a difference even when using the product twice a day for a couple months. The product is very oily and it’s easy to get all over the bottle. Not a toner that can be used without a cotton pad The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I don’t love the textures of these products and am disappointed not seeing a difference after using consistently and over half the bottle is gone. dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop This product is very oily. I want to include vitamin C in my skincare routine but just didn’t enjoy this particular one. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream I love all of elf’s products and bought this thinking I would love it. It leaves a white cast and I don’t like the feel when I put this moisturizer on, because of this I have been using it just at night I order to not waste the product. Elf has much better products than this one for sure! One product I do like: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I’ve started using this once a week and believe it is helping with my blackheads. It is drying and I have sensitive skin so if you’re like me I would suggest only once a week for 8 min and consider a hydrating mask afterwards.

Skincare products that RUINED my skin...part 1!
Here are 10 products that I used to use and what I think of them. Check out other post showing my BEFORE & AFTER photos! 📸 These are the products/ routine that I showed my dermatologist, but there are more products that I used along with these! Stay tuned for my NEW routine! 1️⃣Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray with aloe, herbs and rosewater. $7 for 4 oz ⭐️⭐️Review: Overall this product did not improve my overall skin. The ingredients are very cheap and are basically water and fragrance. 2️⃣ PractivMD deep cleansing face wash. $30 for 6 oz ⭐️⭐️Review: This face wash was super annoying with the tiny blue balls that they put in the scrub. This scrub stripped my skin of moisture, and I also used it too many times a day. 3️⃣Shea moisture Bamboo Charcoal Hydrating Gelee Moisturizer. $11 for 2 oz ⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: This moisturizer was a bouncy Jelly texture that was fun to put on my face. There was some good ingredients in the product. 4️⃣Thayer’s Witch Hazel Rose scented Toner. $11 for 12 oz ⭐️⭐️Review: Basically a waist of money, when you can find better ingredients than Witch Hazel. 5️⃣Sheer Cover Nourishing Moisturizer spf 15. $15 for 2 oz ⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: This product was super lightweight and had no white cast. The sun protection is too little though (spf 15). 6️⃣Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer with Salicylic Acid step 3. $6.39 for 4 oz ⭐️Review: This product would burn. Not sting, but burn, for a long time and be painful. 7️⃣Olay Clearly Clean Acne Treatment Scrub with essence of citrus-mint. *discontinued ⭐️Review: This product broke me out once I used it. Also very stripping and rough to my face. 8️⃣Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash. $6 for 6 oz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: This was the best cleanser that I had back then. Gentle but has fragrance. 9️⃣Differn Acne treatment gel. $16 for 0.5 oz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: This product worked well, but also dried my face out. Make sure to buy a thicker cream for face and do research before buying. 🔟Pop Vibrating Face Scrubber mini. $25 from Tjmax ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: Gave my face a nice gentle exfoliation and helped deeper clean my face with the vibrations. My skin care, what will be refilled?
So this is my current skin care routine, but just the basics. This doesn't include my spf, my extra wrinkle fighters, exfoliates, spot treatment...you get the picture. This is the always auto reflex routine. So what is coming back after it becomes an empty? SOAP & GLORY - Peaches And Clean Deep Cleansing Milk Right out of the gate, absolutely, 100%. This is one of the only times I can say I LOVE a cleanser. Cleans my skin without stripping, and leaves me sour before I put another product on THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner At some point in my life, I'm likely to repurchase this product. Where it's witch hazel, it's a handy product to have. that said I have another toner on my radar, so we might be taking a break Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum Probably not. Not a bad product at all, I have reviewed it before, but it's not my favorite Vitamin C serum (also have done a review), and my favorite is actually cheaper...so... CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream REALLY tough call. Absolutely love the product, but Cerave is owned by L'oreal, and I'm having a hard time supporting a company that employs Amber Heard. I did an entire, long post about it, but it has magically disappeared. If Amber Heard were not working for them, in a heartbeat I would repurchase LA ROCHE-POSAY - HYDRAPHASE INTENSE HYALURONIC ACID EYE CREAM Same exact issue Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve in a Tube Yes, yes, always yes. I have bought this stuff over and over, and will continue to do so. I have also done a review on this product as well
Empties!!! Best of 2020
ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream A perfect gentle cleanse for dry, sensitive skin and does not feel like the skin is stripped at all. ll.ACURE - Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser Ideal for dry, dehydrated skin types. Very creamy consistency with a light lather effect. skyn ICELAND - Glacial Face Wash A creamy, clay type consistency that is ideal for normal to oily skin and offers a deep, refreshing clean. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream Incredible cream. If you have reactive, dry, sensitive skin or are allergic to fragrance, give this a try. It feels like a light emollient texture and makes the perfect night cream if you are more oily. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream Another amazing emollient night cream rich with Peptides and ceramides to keep your skin barrier protected. Also fragrance free. PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum Instant relief for a dry, compromised barrier. It pairs beautifully under a moisturizer if you want extra nourishment. This serum also has ceramides and fatty acids but feels light enough to wear during the day. Once again, fragrance free. I loved all the products mentioned and will not hesitate to repurchase them. Let me know if you love them as much as I did!
A Cure For Reactive Skin
I have been on the hunt for the right cleanser to help with repairing my barrier ever since it was destroyed. A little while back, I decided to try a "clean" cleanser (see my first post) and it ended up just being full of essential oils and heavy fragrance which pretty much fried my face. I came across ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream totally by accident and was a bit hesitant to try another "green" skincare product. But! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this cleanser. It has just the right amount of creamy foam and even after doing a double cleanse , it did not burn or dry out my face. No inflammation. No redness. It's beautiful! I think I can finally say that my barrier is on its way to recovery. I would recommend this for normal/oily/sensitive skin. Dry skin that can handle foam cleansers would benefit from this too. I will definitely repurchase this and look forward to trying some more of their products.
Simplified, temporary skincare routine
Hey everyone💘 I took some advice on my last skincare post and I’ve simplified my routine!! I am still using the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser because it hasn’t affected my skin in a bad way at all and it’s the best cleanser I’ve tried for a while! Along with the pixi - Glow Tonic because I’ve cut back on exfoliating since my skin was getting extra sensitive but I still need some sort of exfoliation A new product that I’ve started using is DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil because it was recommended for me to try an oil cleanser to help my dryness which I think it has been helping quite a bit, I’ve only been using it for about a week but so far so good! Next is the NIP+FAB - Dragon's Blood Fix Plumping Serum which I’ve been using on & off for a while, I was using it on clients for a long time & everyone loved it too! It smells sooo good and feels great on my skin, I’ve never had a bad reaction to it either :) im using this temporarily until my The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 comes in from sephora which i have tried and love!! Another product I’ve been using on & off for a while is CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin bc it was recommended to me by my doctor to help soothe my eczema which it didn’t at all but it doesn’t feel bad on my skin, it’s just not moisturizing enough for me! But since it has ceramides and it’s made to maintain your skin barrier which i am in need of repairing, I’m using it temporarily until my new moisturizer comes in from sephora! Yet another on & off product NIP+FAB - Dragons Blood Fix Essence Mist I absolutely love this mist, it smells so good and it’s very hydrating and feels amazing on my skin! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream i’ve been using this less often then the rest of the products because i do like the benefits of this product, the smell of it & what it has done for my skin so far but it is SO greasy & has a very thick consistency and i really hate greasy products on my face so i tend to not wear this one as often for this reason but other than that it’s a great cream and i like it! Lmk your thoughts on my new, simplified skincare routine and if I should make any of my temporary products more than temporary! ☺️

A.M. Routine ✨
After seeing a dermatologist, I have started using clindamycin gel in the AM and tretinoin cream in the PM for my persistent acne. I also have dry, sensitive skin so I am taking things slow. For 2-4 weeks, I’ll be using the clindamycin gel every other day, and then every day as prescribed. My P.M. post details how I use the tretinoin cream. Here is my A.M. routine! CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser This is a gentle, creamy cleanser that’s perfect for dry, sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft & hydrated, not stripped. PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner This is a new addition to my routine, and I absolutely love it! It has a milky texture and leaves my skin feeling soft & less irritated. I apply it with a reusable fabric pad. PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum This is also a new addition to my routine. I like this product, but I don’t love it. I will be trying out the Krave Great Barrier Relief serum when I’m out of this. Clindamycin Gel- I apply a pea-size amount of the gel every other day. I apply dots of the gel on my cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead before gently rubbing it in. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin After letting everything dry, I apply this moisturizing cream. It’s very thick, but for the most part absorbs into the skin. There is some left on top to form a protective barrier. I re-apply throughout the day on extra dry & irritated areas. I will be trying out First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Relief Cream to see if I like it better. Rodan and Fields Soothe Sunscreen- This is a mineral, broad spectrum sunscreen with 30 SPF. I have been using it for over a year, and I really love it. It leaves my skin feeling soft & less red/irritated. I will be trying the Purito Centella Unscented sunscreen to see if I like it better than this one.

LIFE CHANGING DRY SENSITIVE Skincare routine
I have been on the hunt to find the perfect skincare routine for my dry-sensitive rosacea prone skin. It’s taken me a while to get here, but currently this has been my routine for the last 6 months and my skin is the BEST it’s ever looked. Routine: CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil I pretty much wear makeup daily, so I always do a double cleanse. This cleansing oil is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but still breaks down makeup very effectively. It has grape seed oil which is a great anti-oxidant and almond oil which has been used to treat dry skin and improves complexion Neutrogena - Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover If I’m wearing waterproof mascara, I usually go in after the oil with this makeup remover. It’s the best one I’ve tried that breaks down my eye makeup so I’m not tugging at my skin. Just hold it to your eye for a few seconds. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser I ran out of my normal cleanser (FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser ) so I decided to try this in the meantime. It has actually worked very well! It doesn’t strip my skin, I don’t feel any tightness and it does a great job of cleansing. I do feel like there is still moisture in my face after using it. It has glycerin and hyaluronic acid which are powerful humectants to draw moisture in. It does have frangrance which can be irritating, however it has not effected my sensitive skin. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner Toner is one of those things that you really don’t NEED in skincare. It’s not going to make or break your routine, but because I’m dry, I use it to add more moisture into my skin. This toner has hyaluronic acid to again, draw moisture into the skin, as well as rose water which soothes sensitive skin. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA Lactic acid is one of the only AHAs I can use as I have sensitive skin. All other chemical exfoliants are too harsh for me and cause redness and breakouts. However this lactic acid is incredible. I use 5 drops2-3 times a week, and wake up with clear, bright skin. It is truly a game changer! And the price can not be beat. BIODERMA - Atoderm Intensive Baume This is the best moisturizer I have found (and I have tried a lot). It is so moisturizing and so soothing. I wake up with such moisturized and dewy skin. I’ve found my makeup applies better-even if I’m not applying this in the mornings. It’s a thick cream that can be applied to your face or body. However, it is lightweight and absorbs quickly. This can help with any eczema flair ups I can get under my eyes (haven’t had since using this!). It’s fragrance free, has glycerin, and zinc for redness.

I'm pretty new to skin care routines. I am 41, have normal to oily combo skin, some hyperpigmentation and no active acne. I got a gift card for Amazon and I want to use it on mymyself and get something for my skin. I have TO Niamicide being delivered today and after that I'm at a loss. HELP!

PM ROUTINE - summer 2020
SKIN TYPE - ☀️: combination/oily ❄️: normal/dry LOCATION - New York City STEP 1 - FIRST CLEANSE Neutrogena - Ultra Light Cleansing Oil I start with this only if I have makeup or SPF to wash off. I’m usually pretty skeptical of drugstore skincare brands that were popular in my teens (including Neutrogena) but this product only needs to do one thing great - remove makeup and oil. It’s straightforward, gets the job done, emulsifies with no greasy residue, and what knocks it up to 5⭐️ is because the price is RIGHT. —————————— GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover My first step if I don’t have makeup or SPF to wash off. The thing is, I think I’d rate all micellar waters 5⭐️ because we ask so little of them anyways. I ALWAYS rinse this off to make a clear path for my next products. STEP 2 - SECOND CLEANSE KORRES - Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser I double cleanse for PM only. Perfect for combination skin - hydrating texture of a cream & thorough cleansing of a foam. There’s a light, clean, sweet almondy scent that doesn’t irritate my skin or nose, and totally disappears when you rinse it off. A little pricier than what I would normally spend on a cleanser, but a little amount goes a long way! STEP 3 - SERUM(S) Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum This is what I would recommend to anyone with super sensitive skin that’s looking to introduce niacinimide into their routine. Many popular formulas use 10% and higher, so at 5% this is a great gateway serum! 😄 My favorite thing is the texture - all Glossier serums are lightweight, non-sticky, and absorb super quickly. The reason it’s only 3⭐️ is the price, which I find is mostly for the branding, as you can find the same serums elsewhere at higher strengths for much less. I use this on my t-zone at the same time I apply hyaluronic acid serum on the rest of my face and neck, and it’s my perfect combo-skin serum... combo —————————— Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum I’m not sure if I love this serum or I just love hyaluronic acid. The texture of this (like all Glossier’s serums) is lightweight, non-sticky, and absorbs like a dream. The loss in ⭐️ is due to the ridiculous price for what the product is - a basic hyaluronic serum - which should be a staple product in anyone’s arsenal, and is available for much cheaper elsewhere with formulas that are just as effective. I use this in my serum step on everywhere but my t-zone, where I use niacinimide. STEP 4 - MOISTURIZER CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is a cult favorite for a reason. Ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinimide... the perfect cocktail before bed! A great sealer for your actives; not too heavy for combo skin. NEW STEP - Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector Added this today post-cleanse for some AHA. Nice tingle, but no burn. Updates to come!

Skincare routine thoughts?
Hi everyone! I’m new to cherie and I’m absolutely loving what I’m seeing on here with all the advice, support and tips & tricks!! I have always been pretty interested in skincare but I guess not interested enough since I know a lot less than I thought I did 😂 I just recently started using the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser and I absolutely love it! It’s not over-drying or stripping at all and it makes my face feel super clean and truly feel like it’s gotten all the gunk off. I double cleanse so I have also recently been using the dermalogica - Skin Resurfacing Cleanser I have been using the BURT’S BEES - Rosewater Toner for YEARS, like since I was about 13 or 14, and I think it’ll always be a holy grail product of mine but I’ve been using it for so long and I feel like I need a change! Next is the pixi - Glow Tonic which I also love but have heard mixed reviews about recently and am now rethinking whether the The Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner is better and for a much cheaper price? Another product I’ve been using is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil and I bought it to use for my acne scars which I have seen some minor improvement in but I haven’t been using the product as often as I probably should so that’s probably why! Oils aren’t my favourite thing bc I just don’t like the way they feel on my face, especially at night bc it just gets all over my pillow lol I’ve also tried the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oat & Hemp Seed Dry Oil and it feels about the same Next is the AROMATICA - Calendula Juicy Cream which I literally just started using but it hasn’t made me break out or given me an allergic reaction, I like the smell and the way it feels on my skin! CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion is the absolute best cream I have tried and I have nothing bad to say about it! It makes my skin feel so soft and it’s never made me break out and it’s just an all around great product So here’s the thing, I have super dry skin on only my nose where it literally peels off in chunks (gross, i know, i’m sorry) and no matter how much I exfoliate and use products for dry skin, it doesn’t get better or go away and it’s something I’m really insecure about bc no moisturizer helps it either & I’ll just have flakes of skin on my nose throughout the day and people have pointed it out & it’s so awful :( another problem I have is the pores on my nose, forehead and chin & my skin is acne prone/combination/sensitive All recommendations and advice are welcome and appreciated!! 💘
