Product Mentioned
Good Science Beauty - 001-Pu Purifying Face Cream Product Claim: helps skin damage, reduce oiliness, replenishes skin (from goodsciencebeauty.com) Key Ingredients: willow bark, amino acids Texture: creamy and medium richness Price: $48 – 30 mL My Experience: This face cream's main function is to help blemish skin which is aggravated by city living, but I think it's not mandatory to have a city lifestyle to have blemishes and congested skin. This cream has Willow bark extract which helps with shedding all the dead skin, clearing pores and reducing inflammation. It also hydrates and makes your face look super smooth which is the best. I have been loving this face cream as part of my AM routine 😍 I personally don’t struggle with enlarged pores so I cannot account for that claim but as for clear skin definitely saw it over time. Would I recommend?! Honestly idk, I have tried many different moisturizing creams and I was able to try this since I won it in a giveaway, but I don’t think I would purchase this on my own. I don’t think this cream was for my skin type which is fine, but I don’t really have a final consensus.
Good Science Beauty is a brand that really interested me. Their 001 is meant for skin that is blemish prone. It is a lotion style cream and feels + smells light and incredible. I usually use it after my toner and with eye cream before bed - I wake up looking clear and refreshed. GSB uses science to understand the skin + how to clear it which I deeply appreciate. It’s affordable and well worth the cost, plus a little goes a long way. Good Science Beauty - 001-Pu Purifying Face Cream
1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️
Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 2
Hey y’all! This post is part 2 of my last post, which was me reviewing my followers skincare routines. That post would’ve been too long to do in one post, so here’s part 2! If you haven’t read part 1 I suggest you do, but this will still make sense if you haven’t. Someone messaged me concerned I was assuming pronouns, but I must assure you that I did ask. Our first routine comes from @matureskinwithErin. She starts off by cleansing with the#Murad - Resurgence Renewing Cleanser[products]#[TwoStars] which is $40 for 6.75 fl oz. This cleanser does have glycerin and a bunch of hydrating oils, but because of 2 ingredients I can’t in good faith support it. First is that it has fragrance, but the more important one is that it has lemon extract. Because lemon is a citrus fruit, it can be up to 5x more irritating in skincare. In general, you want to avoid all citrus extracts and oil. Next for a little bit of extra cleansing, she goes in with theBIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water which costs $14.90 for 16.7 fl oz. Because it’s a micellar water, there’s not a lot to say about it other than your getting a great deal. She then goes in with a Vitamin C serum, but I don’t know which one. I think is is unnecessary because of the next product that also has Vitamin C. Next she uses her LED light therapy mask (check out my resent post on these) with the#Paula’s Choice - RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum[products]#[FourStars] which costs $39 for 1 fl oz. This serum seems pretty good, even though it’s expensive. It has antioxidants including Vitamin E and C, Vitamin C also adds a brightening effect, and it has Ceramides, which help protect the skin from environmental damage such as pollution. Next she uses theDHC - Concentrated Eye Cream which is $35 for .7 fl oz. This eye cream seems to be really hydrating which is amazing for @matureskinwithErin’s dry skin! It has a lot of glycerin and squalane, both super hydrating ingredients, plus it has some cucumber extract, which is brightening and soothing. And finally she uses the#Paula’s Choice - CBD Oil + Retinol[products]#[FourStars] which is $54 for 1 fl oz. I do know that CBD oil and Retinol work great together to prevent severe aging, but as CBD oil is a new ingredient, there isn’t a ton of research. (For all about CBD check out my post on it) Not to mention this product also has Squalane! I think it’s a great product overall! BUT again we need some moisturizer and sunscreen! If y’all need recommendations, I can totally make a post and them! Our next routine comes from @EZ. She starts off by cleansing with the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which is $14 for 16 fl oz. This a a great cleanser for normal to dry skin, and it had both glycerin and hylauronic acid. Next she goes in with the#Tonymoly - Vital Vita 12 Poresole Ampoule[products]#[ThreeStars] which costs $20 for 1 fl oz. This serum has a super long ingredients list, which is generally not a good thing in serums. Let’s start with the positives: this serum has Nicinamide, glycerin, squalane, lactic acid, Vitamin C, salicylic acid, and glycolic acid. The issue is that in between these awesome ingredients are tons of essential oils and extracts that can potentially irritate the skin. I went through and counted. There are 7 essential oils, and 12 extracts. If this product doesn’t irritate your skin @EZ, keep using it, but I have to warn people with sensitive skin to stay away. Now @EZ also uses 2 other treatments, but she never uses all 3 on the same day, which is an amazing practice to avoid irritation. Yes, your skin can breakout from too many ingredients! Now her first alternate treatment is#The Ordinary - Nicinamide serum[products]#[FiveStars] which is $5.90 for 1 fl oz. As you know, this is one of my favorite serums, super simple and efficient. Her other alternative treatment is the ordinary The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% which is $5.80 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredient in this is of course Vitamin C, and it also has a lot of squalane. So in her post she mentions that she has to mix this with her moisturizer otherwise it stings her face. I know exactly why. Most products with Vitamin C are formulated with 10-15%. Anything over this can be too much for people with sensitive skin such as @EZ because Vitamin C is very strong. I suggest you stop using this immediately, even mixed with moisturizer, because it’s clear your skin isn’t a fan. She also has 2 moisturizers that she switches out for. Her normal moisturizer is theCeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin which costs $11.99 for 8 fl oz. This a a super simple hydrating moisturizer which is great for combination skin like @EZ has. Her other moisturizer is theI DEW CARE - Say You Dew Moisturizing Vitamin C Gel + Cream which costs $23 for 1.69 fl oz. This is an interesting 2 in 1 moisturizer that you mix together. However I hate it. Here are the positives: glycerin, and nicinamide. And the negatives: it has a ton of fragrance, and a ton of irritating extracts and oils. One of those being lemon extract, which is awful. And finally she ends with a sunscreen with spf 50 (she doesn’t say which one). She says her sunscreen is greasy, so leave recommendations for her in the comments. I recommend theSupergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 and theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Dermo-Kids Gentle Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60 . So here’s what I’d do @EZ: keep your cleanser, keep your 2 serums because they seem to work for you, ditch the Vitamin C cream, and ditch the I Dew Care moisturizer. Keep the other moisturizer though and hunt for a sunscreen you love. Alright y’all that’s all I have for today, but look out for pt. 3 coming sometime next week. Please cheer for this post, comment below your sunscreen recommendations for combination sensitive skin, and follow me for similar content! -Mae

Mad Hippie products contain no toxic chemicals, they use all natural ingredients that are safe and effective! GMO-Free and Cruelty-Free!!! . I’ve been using the Face Cream, Vitamin C Serum, and the Eye Cream for a few weeks now and I love how my face feels so refreshed, smoother and healthier! I have a normal skin and the Face Cream really keeps my skin moisturized through the day. I was really impressed by the eye cream, it is very effective and just a little goes a loooong way. Now my favorite is the Vitamin C Serum - it has a light and subtle scent, is very moisturizing without being sticky, lays well under makeup and it’s packed with good antioxidants protecting skin from sun damage and aging! 🐘🐘🐘

The amazing Caudalie Vinosourc
The amazing Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum 🥰 I’m so happy to finally have my hands on the full size of this baby - I’d paired a sample I had of it with the S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream when I was testing it out, and I’ve become absolutely obsessed with how amazingly the two pair together. 🍇 This S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum It is an oil-free, silky and lightweight moisturizing serum that was made to stimulate the skin’s internal hydration mechanisms and restore its water balance. It’s powered by 100% organic grape water, and it helps to instantly soothe skin and help against irritation. Hyaluronic acid is in here to provide a plumping hydrating effect and help reduce visible signs of aging. Vinolevure moisturizes and strengthens, while olive squalane heals and soothes. Grape seed polyphenols provide antioxidants protection against harmful free radicals like the sun, pollution and stress, and organic grape water moisturizes and soothes. I mean, this is one of my absolute favorite moisturizing serums. She and the S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream make such a dynamic duo! It’s only when I use this serum before the cream that the cream sinks in so much more quickly and smoothly. And what’s great is that she does pack a really strong hydrating punch, while remaining very lightweight and easy on the skin during these months. Sometimes I wear her out with nothing else! So so good 🙌🏻

The Inky List
The Inky List
Have you tried @theinkeylist If not, you’re missing out! . I decided to explore this brand when I took a look at their price point and ingredients. You can’t go wrong when not a single product is over $15!!! The founders believed that skincare should be accessible for everyone as well as easy to navigate and understand. All products are easy to understand and clearly state what they can do for you. I also like that they explain what products to avoid mixing together. . I started with Hyaluronic Acid - $8 - and found the formula to be okay. It’s not my favorite, @deciem formula is actually my favorite, but either one is a great option. I think I just prefer the dropper better over the squeeze bottle of The Inky List. I end up with too much coming out at times. But the hydration this gives me is A+. My face feels and looks instantly dewy. That healthy glow! ✨ If you don’t have HA in your life, you’re missing out! . Next up I ordered their Retinol - $10 - but only just started using it consistently. It’s a very easy formula to work with and I layer on the lotion after to make sure I have no issues with irritation. I’ve had a few small breakouts but nothing crazy. I plan to use something stronger after I finish this. . See yesterday’s post regarding the Sea Kelp - $10 . And I just picked up the eye cream Caffeine - $10 - . I got it initially for my husband. He has serious eye bags and I wanted to put this to the test but he isn’t cooperating with me. I gave it to my daughter to try as I am still working through my @farmacybeauty Cheer Up. She has dark circles and puffy eyes so I’m anxious to hear her thoughts. . What do you use from The Inky List? What should I try next? . Happy hump day! 🌼
