leaves a beautiful gloss to the skin, I use on high points
Haven’t done a makeup post in a while... so here is today’s simple, everyday kinda face... Delilah Cosmetics Time Frame Future Resist Foundation is a gorgeous natural skin-like finish, medium coverage, probably buildable but I prefer to keep mine quite sheer... Becca Cosmetics Under Eye Brightening Corrector is perfect under my eyes to correct any darkness and brighten obvs! I don’t layer any concealer over either I just like the finish as it is... Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer Stick in ‘Baked’ is a perfect alternative to the Chanel classic... cool, matte shade which can be super sheer or built up to give more colour 🌞 HM Face Gloss in the shade ‘Sunlight’ a great alternative to the Chanel Baume Essential I’m obsessed with... leaves a beautiful gloss to the skin, I use on high points in place of glittery highlighter. MAC Cosmetics Casual Colour in shade ‘Have a Lovely Day’ these have been discontinued and I’m so sad! They have a gorgeous glossy finish instead of the matte look you often get with a cream blush, hope they bring something similar out... Kiko High Pigment Eyeshadow in shade ‘90’ just in my sockets to give some definition. Chanel Le Volume Mascara just because it’s my favourite 🖤

One product in two ways! Eyeshadow & Contour series
If you're like me, the eye sockets aren't obvious, especially if they're always puffy in the morning, then you really need a product that will deepen your eye socket tone! I've also tried a number of contouring products to give my eyelids a base color to reduce swelling. But or it is color is too deep, or it is tonal too yellow, do not suit to use eye ministry to give a base, did not let eyelid detumescence not only, let eye ministry look very dirty instead, be like color did not daub open same. Since I discovered KIKO - Eyeshadow High Pigment Wet And Dry Eyeshadow in the shade of No. 46, I haven't used any other contouring or eyeshadow as a base for my eyelids. This monochromatic eye shadow is a light smoky purple with shades of violet and grey. It's a cool shade in general. Its color is normal, it will not be too heavy painting will look very dirty eyelid, its powder is very fine, it is not like this price product. I usually use a large eye make-up brush and apply the color evenly from the eyelid to the bridge of the nose. I can use the same color for the eye position and deepen it a little, so that you can use only one color to complete a very layered but very simple and advanced eye makeup. The best part of this color is that it is well done, neutralize very well, suit to be eye shadow already, can do the contouring of bridge of the nose again, collect two functions to be an organic whole. And the color is also very temperamental, will not besmear on the eye, looks like the heavy feeling like smoky makeup, but is a very hazy, light cold feeling. If you are keen on this effect of eye makeup and want to reduce the swelling of the eyes, then hurry to buy this cigarette shadow, the price is also very cheap, the only disadvantage may be that it is easy to break when you take it out, because its packaging is not too strong, the powder is not firm enough, be sure to handle it gently when you go out. In addition, it is a very perfect two-in-one product, recommended!

Easy Makeup Routine and Milk Makeup Review
In the past 2 years I’ve made my makeup much more minimal and natural (not to say I don’t go all out for special events though!). Here’s my go to products! PS: I buy most things in mini because they go bad before I’d even come close to finishing them in full size! Plus it’s more travel friendly. ⭐️Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek I have this in the color Werk. I LOVE IT, the color is great and it’s buildable. The reason for 4 stars is that I wish it was a little softer to blend and the smell is not great. TIP: Buy the mini versions! You’ll never get through a large one before it expires/goes bad. ⭐️Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer I believe this comes in one color but it’s great for warming up the face a little. I apply it on my cheek bones, forehead, and sometimes my jawline/sides of nose. I often use this on my eyelids too for a monochromatic look. 4 stars for same reason as the one above. —Both of these products are easy to use and are super travel friendly. You just need your finger tips to apply! 💩Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara I wanted to love this but after 2 failed tries, I just can’t. I bought the full size version when it first came out but after applying/drying, small black flecks would fall off my lashes onto my face/eyes. Recently I got the mini version for redemption but I still run into the same issues as well as it reactivating and becoming wet due to condensation from my face mask. This guy is just a no go. ⭐️URBAN DECAY - Perversion Mascara My new favorite mascara is this one! It makes my lashes look great and I haven’t had any issues with it! Totally recommend and it builds up nicely in 2-3 coats without making lashes clumpy. ⭐️KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - KVD VEGAN BEAUTY Tattoo Liner No other liner can compare. The brush on this makes the cleanest lines and it lasts all day. My only issue is how shiny it dries down to, I just wish it was more matte! 💩ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel It’s too thick and easily becomes clumpy. It looks heavy on the brow hairs and has a chalky finish. For some reason it’s incredibly difficult to take off with makeup remover, I feel like I’m scrubbing my brows off. Stick to Anastasia’s other brow products and pass on this one. I’m considering Glossier’s boy brow. My brows are blondish and not thick so open to recommendations too 😂 These few products make for a quick and easy natural look! I’m still on he hunt for a brow product and highlighter though! Would love to hear anyone else’s natural look favorites!
Testing Hyped Products: Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out
FENTY BEAUTY - Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer I finally gave in and decided to try this bronzer from Fenty Beauty (only after my ride or die Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer started to cause breakouts 😭) The first couple times I tried this, I found it to be stiff and not the easiest to blend out. I prefer to use a brush rather than a sponge to blend and my trick for easier application is to warm the product up either by lightly swirling your fingers over the pan or -this sounds weird but works- using your blow dryer for a few seconds to warm it up! Then I use a brush to work it in. It’s very natural and works great on minimal makeup days but it can also be built up!! Because my skin tone is light, I prefer the more neutral tone of the Fenty, bronzer over the warmer tone of the MILK bronzer, but I would say the MILK formulation is a bit easier to work with overall!

A COMBO I LIVE BY
I get my dark circles genetically so there is really no way to get rid of them. Some days they are agreeable but most days they aren’t. I also struggle with my really red eyelids, so when I found these products they became a stable. I’ve tried other concealers but nothing truly hides them as well as I would like. PRODUCTS IN PICTURES: SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Color Correctors I love this because it cancels out the dark circles. It is really messy so I took off a star. I got in shade melon. NARS - Soft Matte Complete Concealer I use this after the color corrector. It is full coverage and fully covers everywhere applied. I heard about this on TikTok and literally love it. I use shade light 2.6. BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector I also heard about this on TikTok and I only apply it on the inner part of my eye to give it a bright ring effect. It also hides any signs of my dark circles that show through. OTHER PRODUCTS USED: REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Perfect Canvas Clean Primer Use this before I apply my makeup and pat it in. Use 3 drops. MAYBELLINE - TattooStudio Brow Tint Pen in shade 360 medium brown. Gives hairlike effect. I use to fill in my arch. URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray Jumbo & Travel Duo setting spray. Keeps my makeup on all day.
My Current 10 min makeup routine
So truth be told I can do this in as little as 6 min, but if something goes sideways or I add something else it ends up being more like 10, but never over. What my goal is with this look is to look alive. I have a 3 month old, so there are night feedings and some days start at 5am. I also have a toddler, so I kind of need all the help I can get. I should also mention my skin is dry. This post will be my routine, not reviews, they have been done or will be. it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ So I start with this. Whether you’re a blush fan or not, the Color & Light: Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter Duos from Kosas are a MUST TRY! Silky soft, controllable, and buildable, these ultra-blendable powder blush and highlighter palettes contain finely milled, optically blended pigments with active botanicals like Jojoba Seed Oil, Moringa Seed Oil, Rosemary Extract to deliver silky, even color and a skin-cushioning sensation. Each duo has two levels of intensity for color that compliments every skin tone. High intensity duos have double the pigment for double the payoff but for my light skin the original intensity formulas work perfectly! Each palette pairs just the right amount of pigment with a coordinated highlighter to pick up on the undertone of the blush. While it’s a hard choice I think my favorite would be the Longitude Zero palette, an iconic pink rose duo for classic blush and a just-kissed flush. It gives me the best natural flush and subtle highlight! At $34.00 these are not your drugstore blush and highlighter palettes but I stand by everything Kosas makes and these are not only well worth it but they last a very long time! MILK Makeup Flex Highlighter
Milk Makeup sent me the shade Blitzed, which is a rose gold highlighter, and it is b-e-a-uuuutiful! Highlighters have been a hot trend in the makeup industry and I’ve accumulated quite a lot of them for my collection, so it takes something special for a highlighter to WOW me, and Milk Makeup DID THAT! If it was publicly acceptable to cover myself in this highlighter, I would. Milk Makeup prides itself by incorporating quality ingredients into their products, all while being cruelty free & vegan. This shade is so stunning - the rose gold is true to color; not overly pinky, not too warm, not too cool, not too gold. The texture of this highlighter is silky; it’s so silky smooth, you’ll be tempted to keep running your finger over it. The hyaluronic filled spheres allow this highlighter to be hydrating, so it doesn’t crumble, it doesn’t flake, it’s not drying and it will give that wet shine that we all love in a highlighter! The component and pan is generous in size, giving you the option to use a more precise highlighter pointed brush, a fan brush or even a bigger, fluffy brush so you can apply it on your body if you’re feeling extra! The Flex highlighters retail for $28 each, with four shades to choose from. You get over 6 grams of product in the pan, so I think this is a very reasonable price point!

☀️Sun kissed bronzer ☀️
This a beautiful bronzer. I’ve been using this for a little over a week. I have it in the shade “light”. I’ve read lots of reviews saying it’s really sparkly and has a good amount of fallout. But most of them have been good reviews. I like using a big fluffy brush because it doesn’t pick up a ton of product. It does have a bit of a shine but it’s not super sparkly like a highlighter. I like using a liquid blush instead of a powder since it’ll give me a textured look and I’m sure not that many want that, then applying the bronzer on top of it. I find it gives me a really cute look. It’s also great applying this on its own( I get my brush and apply this like blush). It does has an orangey tint to it fyi. The only annoying thing about this is the fallout. If you swirl your brush around there will be lots of product on your hands and any surface. Pro: great color, small amount of shine and looks beautiful on the cheeks. Con: has a bit of fallout, and it isn’t super affordable. $34 for 0.21 oz/ 6g Kosas - The Sun Show Bronzer

Milk Makeup highlighter in Lit
This was my first intro to cream highlighters, or highlighters in general outside a theatre purpose. You 100% get your moneys worth for this product because it will last until you die, there’s so much product. This is a champagne pearl color that you could use for any occasion. I like to rub my finger on the top and then tap it on the highlights of my face. It’s too big to apply straight from the tube. Really lovely!Milk MAKEUP - Milk MAKEUP Highlighter

Just right. + skincare infused! + made with Shea butter and Meadowfoam oil. + hydrating, never cakey or dry. + smooth like butter application! + applies very easily + gorgeous sea glass like packaging. - very delicate, a lot of “fall out” when tapping a brush in. - 3 shades (swatch promos caused controversy) - deepest shade isn’t deep enough. I’m a medium to tan skin tone and I picked out the shade medium. It is perfect and the bronzer that I have been searching for since I finished my previous favorite one.

Kosas made my new favorite concealer
As a celebrity makeup artist and clean beauty enthusiast for a decade, you’d think I would have a lot of great concealer options to tell you about. Not so much. But this new launch from Kosas is really freakin good. It has great coverage. Not too heavy, not too light. It blends easily It creates a seamless finish if you get your shade matched right It’s hydrating and doesn’t leave me cakey looking I can’t upload the video I made about it in this post, so I’ll do it in a stand alone post next so you can see how quick it is to blend, and how the coverage is. 💜

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
