2 of The Ordinary products that are worth the hype
It was impossible for me to ignore the hype around The Ordinary products. I mean, when it comes to celebrities recommending luxury products on their social media, it doesn’t trigger anything in me as I tend to think it’s just advertising and nothing else. But when social media influencers from all over the world start recommending products that are like less than 10 euros, it is certainly worth a try! In my first order from The Ordinary, I’ve got Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA and Squalane Cleanser and I’m very pleased with them both! Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA The reason why I wanted to try this moisturizer in the first place is the no-nonsense title and label. I mean I just want a moisturizer, why name it overly complicated? Just call it by its name! This one is rich in amino acids, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and fatty acids and keeps the skin hydrated without leaving behind a greasy film. I noticed the results immediately. The skin felt better, properly hydrated, plumper. This is a product that didn’t promise the moon, only moisturizing and did a great job delivering just this. It costs about 5 euros (30 ml) and if you ask me, it is totally worth the hype. Squalane Cleanser I used to be fully committed to my micellar water cleansing routine, but since the Squalane cleanser was a part of the daily set I ordered, I wanted to try. The indication is to rub a small amount of product between the palms of your hands and then massage into the skin of the face and rinse with plenty of water. At first, the cleanser has like a moisturizer texture, but when you start rubbing, it gets warm and turns into an oily lotion. Application is easy and the cleanser does a good job in removing makeup. Since I can’t give up on my micellar water, I am using the Squalane cleanser only in the evenings, to get rid of makeup and the micellar water in the mornings. Squalane cleanser leaves my skin soft and clean, no drying or oily sensation. I’d definitely recommend it to friends!
Love this affordable baby
the ordinary serum foundation👩🏼🎨 today’s review is all about this affordable foundation - $6.70 for 30ml. it’s cheaper than even drug store foundations, but how does it perform, you ask? here’s the 🏃🏽♀️rundown. spoiler alert, 🥺I love it. this serum is a very light, almost watery consistency (SWIPE for video). it is light-medium coverage on it’s first layer, but is easily buildable to achieve a more full coverage glam look. it does not oxidize. it leaves a dewy finish and (paired with a setting powder and spray,) stays in its place. it applies flawlessly with a beauty blender and doesn’t cling to dry areas or finish streaky. it does not break me out (elf blemish control primer, also $6, helps with this and works beautifully under this foundation). I am admittedly not much of a makeup person, besides some brow gel on a daily basis, I only do makeup 1-2 times a month.. therefore, splurging on a $70 foundation from Sephora which will go bad before I’m even 1/2 done isn’t an option. 💩 this foundation is truly a perfect fit for me. it’s simple, easy to use and apply, and affordable. It comes with a pump, but I purchased the serum dropper for $0.90 because the pump made the foundation come out so fast because it’s so thin, and it splashed off the back of my hand and went everywhere ☔️ I have this in 2 pasty shades - 👼🏻Really Pasty for the winter months (shade called 1.0 NS) and I just picked up a 👼🏼Slightly Less Pasty shade for my fake-tanned summer skin (pictured, shade 1.1 N). My first bottle I was colour-matched in store at deciem , and this time I just winged it TL;DR ☕️ 10/10 love this affordable baby and will keep repurchasing.
