Ultimate Eyelash Guide: Tapered & Hooded Edition
Yep, you heard that right. I have tapered and hooded eyelids which has always made it pretty difficult to follow YouTube makeup tutorials. Not too many people have this exact eye shape which is why I want to share my experience with you guys! Even if you don’t, I think this guide still applies to everyone out there and still does the job it needs to do! Okay, so here’s my method...CUT UP LASHES!!! That’s pretty much all there is to the hack. You know when you cut your regular lashes because the band is wayyyy too long? Save that!!! Please! You can use those ends to create your own tailored lashes. Basically, I use the longest cut up lashes and put them on the outer end of my eyelashes. I then take a shorter but still long lash and put it next to the other lash. Last but not least, I use Ardell individual lashes and put them under my lashes so it blends better. This is what works best for me in my opinion and this method also allows for a very natural and nice lifted effect. This hack is great for those with hooded eyes since typically you can’t see much of the crease anyways. By placing your lashes in the way I’ve mentioned, you achieve a lifted eye look plus I feel like it feels way more comfortable than a whole lash band that is at risk for the corners to fall off ;( btw I just use the very basic Duo lash glue in black you can get from Target and whatnot for about $6!!! #CheriePartner
The New Tiktok Hair Craze and How To Hop On!!!
So there’s always a new hairstyle trend going around and this time, it’s this bleached 2-strand hair! Typically for Tiktok, it’s 2 strands right in front of your face, but there has also been a trend for the bleached strands to go by the sides of your face (or ears). If you want to try something similar (permanently), I totally recommend using my method to try it before you do anything to your actual hair and end up damaging it beyond repair I got my extensions from InsertNameHere and they’re the white Hi-Lites. They retail for $18 apiece and you can use “tiffy10” for some $ off! I don’t earn any commission on it so this code is totally for yall to save some $$$ I think the video is pretty self-explanatory, but I will add that I recently saw a girl on Tiktok put the extensions in upside down. I’ll have to try that out since I think it turned out a lot more natural-looking. Plus, she styled it by curling her hair so the extensions blended more smoothly with her natural hair. I’m going to try it out but with their waver to see how it goes. Other than that, I love it a lot! Some say it looks unnatural because it’s so platinum which I think is true so InsertNameHere has a shade that’s more grey in color called “Smoke”. I think that would look better for someone with dark hair such as myself. This hairstyle is so cute though and I was really tempted to actually go dye my hair XD This is also perfect for Halloween looks btw! #CheriePartner
💁🏻♀️My Go-To “Extra” Makeup Look 💁🏻♀️
Alright so a lot of people may have an everyday makeup look, but do you have an everyday EXTRA makeup look??? Well, here’s mine… It’s the perfect mix between glamorous and natural which I loveeee. I also think it’s a pretty achievable look and there aren’t too many crazy techniques you need to use in order to get it either. So I’ll start with the eyes, it’s just the foxy smokey look that’s been trending all over social media. I use tons of neutral and brown colors to achieve a more natural and smokey effect. The important thing is to build up the dark browns and black eyeshadow. For the fox eye effect, I like to use a piece of tape to get it really sharp. The trick is to always start with the lighter colors and blend up to the black. Also, line your waterline and inner corner with a black pencil to make it look even smokier. Next up, we got the lips. It’s the staple red lipstick but with a dark twist. I personally don’t think bright red lipstick complements my skin tone so I love adding a bit of brown. I use NYX soft matte lip creams to achieve this and the main lippie colors are “Madrid” and “Berlin”. You can add a lip gloss if you prefer, honestly, any clear gloss works. I like using Too Faced Lip Injection Plumping Lip Gloss for that pounty look hehe Last but not least, the freckles!!! This is a small element that ties everything together. It’s what makes it look a lot more natural and effortless. Don’t forget to also use some blush to make your freckles look more realistic, but my method for drawing freckles is with brown eyeshadow powder on a brush. And that’s pretty much all to it! Looks kinda complicated but actually pretty simple and great for any occasions you want to look a bit more extra for!! #CheriePartner
Leave-In Conditioner EveryTime I Wash My Hair !!
So what exactly is leave-in conditioner? It’s usually a product that moisturizes your hair after you wash it for smoother and detangled hair. I’ve been using the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream for a longggg time now and it’s still my fav! It always makes my hair smell super good whenever I use it and it definitely does it’s job in terms of detangling and making my hair smooth. In fact, when I forgot to use the product last night, my hair was super tangled in the morning!! So I definitely take this leave-in conditioner for granted because I forget that my hair isn’t always smooth! I use this product at night when I finish washing my hair. I apply it when my hair is still damp, but according to the back label, you can also use it on dry hair. I think it works better with damp hair just so the moisture gets locked in. I think using it on dry hair would make it sticky as well. I only use a small amount (pea-sizeish) on the ends of my hair and comb it through with my hands. It’s about $2-4 and you can buy it at places such as Target, Walmart, Amazon, CVS, etc. They also come in two-packs so this product is such a deal! #CheriePartner
Trying Some K-Beauty?!
If yall heard the music in the background of the loop, my b idk how to mute the noise but also stan Miley Cyrus’s live performances 😌 Anyways, can we first appreciate this packaging??? Its so cuteeee I cant :3 The first product I have is the Neker lipstick in “01 Sponge Beige”. The color is not beige at all tho, the color is a lot closer to the color on the packaging. It’s an orangey-pink color and it smells SO GOOD! It was the main thing I noticed when I first used it and I literally cannot express it enough. It smells like super sweet peaches and it makes me want to eat it LOL (pls don’t do that!) The texture is kinda odd though tbh, it’s supposed to be a matte lipstick and on the lips, it feels drying but really smooth at the same time. I’m not sure if that’s the best way to describe it, but it’s nothing that I’ve ever tried before. I’m pretty satisfied with it though, I love using it in combination with other lipsticks! The next product is the Missha Line Friends Glow Tension No.23! It’s a cushion compact foundation with SPF (K-Beauty tends to have SPF in everything!) and there’s a mirror in the compact! Sadly, there isn’t a big range of foundation shades which I hope they expand in the future. The foundation itself kind of smells like sunscreen and is pretty high coverage (at least for me). I don’t typically use foundations, so this is what I use whenever I want more coverage. I know it’s good coverage because whenever I use it, my friends tell me my skin looks really smooth XD Honestly, the shade doesn’t match me perfectly either...it’s a tad too pink which is a problem I always have when wearing foundations. If you have a yellow undertone, I’d say pass on this foundation. I mainly bought because of the packaging ngl HAHA I will need to try more K-Beauty since these are the only products I have! If you guys have recommendations, please let me know especially for skincare! I’ve been trying to look for some skin products but I don’t know what’s worth the hype!! UPDATE: uhhh the lippie is pretty drying :( my lip was peeling after I used it so def not moisturizing !! I think there are better alternatives for matte lipsticks :/ #CheriePartner
✨😌 My Staple Makeup Brushes 😌✨
Okay, so if you’re a beginner at makeup and don’t know which brushes to buy or if you’re just looking for makeup brush recommendations... here is my guide for you! 1. Real Techniques blush brush I’m sure you’ve seen this brush around on social media at least once! I swear almost everyone has one because it’s amazing!! It’s big, fluffy, and affordable. I bought mine from Target for about $9 and it blends so well. I use it for my setting powder, blush, and bronzer and it rarely leaves any patchy spots. I would totally recommend this brush whether you’re just starting or have been doing makeup for years now! 2. Real Techniques setting brush This brush is a lot smaller and denser but is also just as amazing. I definitely take this brush for granted because whenever I forget to bring it with me, I always regret it… I use this for setting eyeshadow primer and for blending out my eyeshadow. I think that’s what saves me a lot since sometimes whenever I go too pigmented with eyeshadow colors, I love to use this to make the eyeshadow look more gradient. 3. Morphe blending brush? I’m not sure what this brush is called since I can’t find any identification or markings on it, but it came in a pack of 4 brushes. I didn’t realize I needed this brush until I had it haha I recently got it and it makes blending eyeshadows SO much easier!!! It’s not that dense and honestly not that soft either but it blends my eyeshadows so well, to the point where I don’t need the previous brush to help me blend 4. BH cosmetics Again, sorry I don’t have the exact name, but I love using this for highlighter! This is honestly kinda optional but its superrrr soft and I feel like it picks up highlighter so well! It always me to blend the highlighter into my skin and I feel like I’m glowing after using it 5. Real Techniques 203 I used to use this brush for all aspects of eyeshadow, but I’ve tweaked my routine a bit and through my own experience, this brush is best for darkening your eyeshadow. It’s denser than the other eyeshadow brush I mentioned which makes it perfect for creating depth in your looks! 6. BH cosmetics No # or name again my bad!! This brush is optional as well but it’s really convenient for putting highlighter on your brow bone and nose. Since it’s small and pointy, it’s really accurate and only goes where you want it to go. Using other brushes in those areas, I tend to find that my highlighter goes on with a bigger surface area. Not sure if that even made any sense lol but basically, when I use other brushes for highlighter, it goes on areas I don’t want it to go on! #CheriePartner
