Review: the ordinary peeling solution
Everyone has been raving about this product, so I decided to give it a go. I used this product once a week for about 3 months. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Benefits: AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution from The Ordinary offers deeper exfoliation to help fight signs of pore congestion and improve skin radiance. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture and reduces the look of fine lines. My experience: This product worked very well with my skin type (combo/ acne prone). I always used it according to the directions and most of the time felt a bit of a tingle, which is normal. After every use, my skin felt very smooth and looked nice and dewy. This product also helped fade my dark spots and made my acne subside. I found that after a month, I did notice a difference in my pores (appeared a bit smaller). My review: I do like this product! Looking at reviews of the peeling solution, it seems a good amount of people who have sensitive skin found this product to be irritating. My skin can be sensitive, but I’ve never had a problem! The peeling solution was my first experience using a chemical exfoliant and I’m glad I tried it! However, now that I have used PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I do reach for this one over the peeling solution because I do think it’s a better product. Both of these products are great liquid exfoliants!

Review: the beet shield
People have been raving about this product, so I decided to give it a try!! What is the best shield? Well, on the krave beauty website it says the beet shield is a lightweight, soothing day fluid that protects skin from environmental aggressors. Whether it’s sun damage or harmful irritants, The Beet Shield keep pollutants to keep you from getting beet-red. You’re supposed to use this as the last step in your AM skincare routine. My review: This product is great! Before this I was using the CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 which would ball up on my face in small white chunks. My makeup underneath looked awful and it was because of this SPF. Having the beet shield underneath was a game changer for me. This product not only leaves your skin looking dewy and fresh, but my makeup underneath was so smooth. This product does not look like a normal sunscreen. It comes out in a pale color and goes on almost invisible. It’s a very unique formula! I really love this product and I recommend giving it a go! Krave - The Beet Shield

The best shampoo/conditioner I’ve ever used
Before using these products, I used the ogx - Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo and the ogx - Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Conditioner and I really thought these were great products and I used them for a few years. It wasn’t until I started using the MATRIX - Total Results High Amplify Shampoo and the MATRIX - Total Results Mega Sleek Conditioner that I realized the ogx shampoo/conditioner were actually not very good. i thought my hair was moisturized after using ogx but after the matrix products my hair feels AMAZING!! i highly recommend trying these products. my hair has never felt/looked so smooth and healthy. LOVE LOVE LOVE !!

Products that helped my acne
I’ve struggled with acne since 7th grade (I’m 20 now). I have used a lot of products and there are a handful I want to share that have really helped me get closer to my clear skin goal. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this is by far the best product I’ve ever used. My skin looks smoother and my acne has subsided tremendously. I can’t get enough of this. (I use it twice a week, working up to three). I really do believe this product is essential for clearer skin! CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin this moisturizer has been my go to for about 5 years. It always keeps my skin hydrated and really helped when I was on acne prescriptions because my skin would always get really dry. Curology - Curology formula I have a whole post dedicated to this, but it really did help me a lot. I like having dermatologist prescriptions over other treatments. So, this was a great option for me and worked wonders! CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I used to use the harshest face washed out there and strip my skin completely. This cleanser really helped me repair my moisture barrier and was gentle. My skin started looking really good after about 12 uses of this. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this stuff is a miracle in a bottle!! My face is way less sensitive and my oils are under control. The redness from my acne subsides with the help of this product and I find it to help my acne heal and become smaller faster. Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment this treatment really helped me when I had minimal breakouts. This dried out my pimples over night and helped them go away faster. This was a really nice treatment and I plan on using it again when my face is clearer and I no longer feel the need to continue curology!!
Let’s talk eyelash lifts
What is an eyelash perm? An eyelash lift is basically a perm for your eyelashes. Eyelash lifts perm each individual lash and are usually followed by a tint. This keeps your lashes curled for a while and enhances your lashes to make them look full and long. My experience: I have gotten 4 lash lifts in the past couple of years. I already have pretty long lashes, so getting them permed always makes them look super nice! The whole process can take anywhere from 20-45 minutes. Here’s what happens: a silicon rod is placed on your eyelid and each lash is attached to the rod. It depends what kind you get and where you go, but for me there was a serum applied to my lashes, then the perming solution, then another solution applied, and finally the tint/ungluing of the lashes from the rod. The whole process is very relaxing and comfortable. I always have the slightest bit of discomfort during the perm only because my eyes are a bit sensitive and the solution is strong. However, it’s totally bearable and really not bad at all. Your can’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours after. The best part is you can wear mascara after those 24 hours! Do I recommend? Yes! I have always been super happy with my lashes after a lash lift. There have been a lot of lash lift kits floating around the internet, but it’s best to go to a professional because your eyelashes can become pretty damaged if not done properly. Keep in mind if your eyes lashes are extremely short, the lift may not work. However, you won’t know until you try! I for sure recommend getting one!!
Review: the ordinary niacinimide
I first heard of this product from Hyram on YouTube. He swears by this product and always recommends it. I decided to give it a try a while back and I’m now on my third bottle! I am no expert.. just here to give you an honest review :) Benefits of niacinamide: It regulates oil, decreases sensitivity in the skin, helps the skin barrier, helps fade dark spots, and more. This is a great ingredient! My experience: I use niacinamide every morning as the first step of my skincare routine. I have combination/acne prone skin and I find niacinamide to take away some of the redness from my face and really helps fade my dark spots. My skin gets a tad oily throughout the day and niacinamide really does a great job at controlling it. Overall, my skin really has benefited from using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% My skin has never been super sensitive, but it can definitely handle a lot more than what it used to be able to (thanks to this product). Niacinamide is an essential part in my skincare routine. **DISCLAIMER** I have seen some reviews saying this product didn’t work for them or made their skin worse. It’s important to remember everyone’s skin is different and you won’t know for sure that something doesn’t work for you until you try it! Personally, my skin was at its worst and reading some reviews of niacinamide, I was worried it was breaking me out. To test this, I stopped using niacinamide for a whole week and I came to the conclusion that my skin was purging from a different product and the niacinamide was actually making my skin look better. Would I recommend? 100% yes! Niacinamide is truly an incredible ingredient that helps with a lot of skin concerns. I will continue to repurchase this product!! I would for sure give it a try if you have not already! Have your tried this product? I’d love to hear your thoughts down below! :)
