People have been raving about this product, so I decided to give it a try!! What is the best shield? Well, on the krave beauty website it says the beet shield is a lightweight, soothing day fluid that protects skin from environmental aggressors. Whether it’s sun damage or harmful irritants, The Beet Shield keep pollutants to keep you from getting beet-red. You’re supposed to use this as the last step in your AM skincare routine. My review: This product is great! Before this I was using the CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30
which would ball up on my face in small white chunks. My makeup underneath looked awful and it was because of this SPF. Having the beet shield underneath was a game changer for me. This product not only leaves your skin looking dewy and fresh, but my makeup underneath was so smooth. This product does not look like a normal sunscreen. It comes out in a pale color and goes on almost invisible. It’s a very unique formula! I really love this product and I recommend giving it a go! Krave - The Beet Shield

Help!
I have been trying to figure out the best way to take control of my skincare routine. My main concern is the texture of my skin, redness, blackheads on my nose, & large pores on my cheeks. I believe I have combination skin. It can’t often get oily or dry. I’d like any advice having to do with Cerave or The Ordinary. I currently am cleansing my face each morning & night with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I like this cleanser, but am wondering if I should try out some other Cerave facial cleansers for my skin. In the morning I use CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 In the evening I moisturize with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Occasionally, I use the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but I don’t think I have used it consistently enough & often enough to tell a difference. I’ve read that this is good for blackheads on your nose & to use it two nights a week. I have also used The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque but haven’t used it enough to notice a difference. I’d like to look into trying a few more products to help rejuvenate my skin & give my skin care routine a “facelift” 😉 Any advice or opinions would be wonderful. Thank you! Products I’d like to try include: CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum I would like to introduce a retinol into my routine. CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I often get dry under eyes, eye lids, & puffiness. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I read this was good for textured skin & blackheads. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Thank you in advance! ✨

Help!
Heyyy so a few months ago my skin exploded in breakouts. I had relatively clear skin before I started taking birth control (I’m like 79% sure that’s what caused my breakouts not 100% tho) Anyways I am still getting the occasional few pimples but I am mostly left with a bunch of scars and some texture. I still do get some pimples and zits as well. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I should do to help my skin. Thank you so much! My current routine is Am CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I have been using apple cider vinegar as toner #Pearl essence - Vitamin c[products]# CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Pm The same cleanser as am CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I also just started The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionwhich I will do once a week!

Do you really need sunscreen ?
Do you really need sunscreen ?
Of course your need sunscreen (even WOC). I wish I had started wearing sunscreen earlier, but it’s always better later than never. With sunscreen the dermatologist recommended SPF is 30 (mostly outdoor protection). I prefer more because I like the extra added protection from UVB rays. ULTRAVIOLET B RAYS (uvb) is associated with sun burns, while ULTRAVIOLET A (uva) is associate with aging. UVA is way worse than UVB as it penetrates your skin deeper (hence the aging & wrinkle warning). There are also two types of sunscreens physical & chemical. Physical (mineral) has ingredients such as titanium dioxide & zinc oxide. They block the UV rays from penetration. Chemical has ingredients such as avobenzone & octisalate. They absorbs the UV rays before they can damage your skin. (Physical (mineral) is linked to less skin irritation than chemical) -Yes, you should wear sunscreen inside (at least SPF15) -You should reapply sunscreen every 2 hours -Broad spectrum means both UVA & UVB protection (the best in my opinion) -Apply over entire body before getting dressed (rays can penetrate your clothes) -SPF 30 = 30 minutes longer to burn than without sunscreen Products (L👉🏽R) Aveeno - Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 I like this product due to the mineral content. But it leave a slight white cast on me (as pictured). Being a WOC It was HARD for me to find a product that didn’t leave a white cast. (Target $7.69 Walmart $9.97) Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Sunscreen Spray SPF 45 this is my go to sunscreen. It’s light, doesn’t leave a cast, easy to apply, & great for on the go. (Walmart $9.97) Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100 this also doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. I apply this if I’m going to be in direct sun (beach, swimming, etc). I love that it’s light and doesn’t have a heavy smell to it. (Walmart $8.87)

Best drugstore sunscreen ☀️
Best drugstore sunscreen ☀️
It makes me really happy to see people recognize sunscreen as an important part of a skincare routine. To the point where we have a hard time keeping certain ones on the shelves. One of those just happens to be one of my favorites, the CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 . This mineral sunscreen (5.5% Titanium Dioxide, 10% Zinc Oxide) can be found at most drugstore retailers and costs $15.99 for 1.7 oz of product (keep an eye on your local Ulta, CeraVe goes on sale all the time). It contains ceramides (great for dry skin!) and niacinamide (helps even out pigmentation and reduce redness). It has an SPF of 30 and has what they call, and I don’t exactly agree with, a universal tint so no typical white caste. So for the most part I LOVE this sunscreen. Despite it being a hydrating sunscreen it still sits very well on my oily skin. It rubs in like a cream moisturizer and doesn’t feel like your typical, gross feeling sunscreen. It does give your skin a little bit of a glow which I think looks stunning underneath make up. I usually stick with matte foundations so it just gives it a little bit of a boost so I don’t look too matte. The only reason I give it four stars is the tint. They say it’s a universal tint but it’s too dark for me. It’s like a shade too dark on me so I don’t reach for it often unless I completely take everything down my neck. I wish CeraVe would branch out and create both lighter and darker versions of this sunscreen to accommodate all skin tones. I say it works best on medium tan skin. My best friend self tans and it looks gorgeous on her as a foundation. There will be days she just applies this and it looks like a sheer foundation on her. It’s odd but when you apply it it almost blurs your skin a little bit and evens everything out. There are days when I do use it that I’ll use it in place of my primer as it creates an even toned base for foundation. It’s very hydrating and leaves your skin feeling really soft and not heavy. If you have dry to normal skin I think you’ll really enjoy this! Those with oily skin, you might like this. I did personally but I fee like with oily skin things can be hit or miss person to person. #CheriePartner

I’m gonna do a quick rundown o
I’m gonna do a quick rundown of the sunscreen products I’ve reviewed so far! PRODUCT: Innisfree Daily UV protection Cream Mild, SPF 35 PA++ ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Titanium Dioxide, Octocrylene, Tinosorb S PRICE: $13.00 CAD THOUGHTS: Works well for me, but does make me a bit oily. Non-irritating and doesn’t cause major breakouts. PRODUCT: Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte, SPF 30 ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Zinc Oxide PRICE: $44.00 CAD THOUGHTS: I like this one a lot but will not repurchase for 2 reasons; I don’t support the companies antics on social media or their unfair pricing scheme, and second, it doesn’t cause me any immediate/major breakouts but after prolonged use I do find it contributes to breakouts. I do love the way it looks though - I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. PRODUCT: MAD HIPPIE FACIAL SPF 30+ UVA/UVB BROAD SPECTRUM (gifted for review) ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Zinc Oxide PRICE: $32.99 CAD THOUGHTS: This is nice to apply and has a nice finish, but unfortunately I’m about 90% sure it’s caused me 2 HUMONGOUS pimples. Shea butter is the second ingredient, which might be great if you’re not acne prone, but I think it’s a no-go for acne prone people like me. PRODUCT: PURITO CENTELLA GREEN LEVEL SAFE SUN SPF 50+ PA++++ ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone PRICE: $17.00 CAD THOUGHTS: Love this one!! I just need to make sure to give it a few minutes to settle before applying makeup because otherwise it won’t sit properly. This has become a HG for me.

So I tested out both sunscreens and I prefer the AM over the HYDRATING one. The AM still leaves me pale, and sometimes if it’s too much rubbing it peels n falls off, but with this product I mix it with my regular moisturizer then put oil on top to help with the paleness. Now with the HYDRATING one this was like chalk on my face, never blending even with my moisturizer, always peeled, and I’m pretty sure it didn’t hydrate. I patch tested both on my face with the same time period and the AM worked better. Just my opinion!

Battle of the chemical sunscreens! ☀️
Battle of the chemical sunscreens! ☀️
I’ve been trying different chemical sunscreens over the past year or so, and here are my thoughts! Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ I bought this after seeing that it was a cult favorite on r/AsianBeauty. The texture is reminiscent of the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel-Cream, except maybe a touch lighter. It’s a jelly-like gel-cream and has that same occlusive feeling. It has a light sunscreen-y scent, but not as strong as drugstore sunscreens. This didn’t irritate my skin, but I didn’t like the occlusive feeling. It made me feel oily, especially during the winter when I wore this over heavier moisturizers. However, my boyfriend has dry skin and loves this product. I would recommend it for people with dry skin as I would definitely consider this a moisturizing sunscreen! Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ Supergoop is also a cult favorite for sunscreens and was recommended to me by my Curology provider. I really enjoyed this sunscreen! The texture is like a watery cream. It has a light scent (I’m not sure how to describe it? Vaguely floral?), but no synthetic fragrance. It’s water and sweat resistant—I’ve worn this sunscreen while hiking and skiing, and had no problems with reapplication. The only downside for me was that it is quite dewy and the shine doesn’t really die down. Might be better suited for dry skin rather than oily or combo skin. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ I love this sunscreen! The texture is similar to Supergoop and is also a watery cream. It is scentless. The ingredients list is amazing and has soothing ingredients like glycerin, niacinamide, and madecassiside that you would normally find in a moisturizer. The finish is dewy, but unlike the Supergoop one, the dewiness does fade throughout the day. If I use a lot of hydrating layers before applying moisturizer and sunscreen, or reapply it throughout the day, this product can be a bit too dewy/occlusive for me, but overall I love this product and would repurchase! Krave - The Beet Shield This is my holy grail sunscreen! The texture is like a lotion-based serum—it’s watery and very light. This product is scentless and has antioxidants like beet root extract and resveratrol to help fight free radicals from sun damage. What I love about this product is that it doesn’t feel like you’re using a sunscreen, it feels more like an antioxidant serum. The finish is dewy, but it dies down pretty quickly and leaves you with a more natural-looking dewiness. Even after reapplying multiple layers throughout the day, I haven’t experienced any pilling. Liah Yoo, the founder of Krave Beauty, has said this sunscreen is not sweat resistant since they wanted to make a lighter formula that people would be encouraged to use everyday, but I don’t mind as this is so pleasant to apply for general daily use. Highly recommend this product!

🌞 MUST HAVE SUNSCREEN 🌞
🌞 MUST HAVE SUNSCREEN 🌞
I must say prior to a month ago I was super guilty of never using sunscreen. Fast forward, I can’t stress enough how essential using sunscreen everyday is. The sun is so powerful and damages your skin barrier either immediately or overtime. ⁣ ⁣ ✨Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Mist SPF 55✨⁣ ⁣ This sunscreen is my absolute fave! It’s very lightweight and sheer and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. I love that it’s a spray so I don’t have to use my hands and it’s perfect to reapply throughout the day. AND it doesn’t leave a white cast on my face, which was a huge concern, of course. It’s $18 which is a super inexpensive sunscreen compared to others and protects your face from harmful UVA and UVB rays. 10/10 highly recommend! ⁣🌞💛
