Evening Routine Necessities 🌙 & a La Mer Dupe!?
SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum — This is truly the fountain of youth! Compared to other products containing retinol, that I’ve tired, this is superior! (I do in part think the 6.5% retinoid is in part to blame.) I use this a couple times a week and it is the only thing that really reduces wrinkles/fine lines. I don’t use this product in conjunction with many others because it’s very strong—I’ll use a gentle cleanser with my Foreo Luna Play Plus, tone, apply eye cream, apply the retinoid, and then moisturize. $85 is a bit too pricey for me to purchase out front, so I waited for a sale and found it for $60 at Urban Outfitters during a 30% off beauty sale. NIVEA - NIVEA Crème — I purchased this online through Amazon for $11 after hearing on some blogs that it was a dupe for the elite LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream(which retails for $190 for 1oz). While Nivea is sold stateside, usually in a plastic tub in their signature royal blue, I specifically ordered this one from Amazon due to the fact it’s the German version, which has a different formula than the US version and is therefore more similar to La Mer’s The Moisturizing Cream. While I haven’t tried La Mer’s moisturizer, I am really impressed with the German version of the Nivea Creme so far! I apply this in the evening by taking a small amount of product and rubbing it between my hands until it’s no longer white/thick, I then press it into my skin and move my hands in an up and out matter to blend it in. This creme is definitely fragranced, so it might not be the best for sensitive skin. After a few nights of use, the dry/flakey skin on the top of my forehead and nose have totally disappeared and swapped for smooth glowing skin! While I don’t think this is a necessity for the summer months, it’s been great to counteract the effects of fall winds and dry weather. If you’re going to buy this as a La Mer dupe, buy the German version on Amazon or through another retailer! SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Gua Sha — This is my first Gua Sha and I love it so far! Prior to purchasing this, I was using a jade roller from Ulta that I wasn’t blown away by—the roller always squeaked and felt rickety. The Gua Sha is incredibly easy to hold, clean, and use compared to the roller I tried. This is typically the last step in my routine, after a moisturizer, and I find it helps my products sink into my skin. To use, I follow a short YouTube video to use the Gua Sha to remove fluid from and lift my face. For $12, you can’t go wrong! Lano - Everywhere Multi-Cream — Instead of a super thick hand cream, I’ve been using this on my cuticles and tops of my hands to help my hands with the consistent hand sanitizer, washing, and dry fall weather. My hands and cuticles feel much softer and look healthier! This cream is unscented and can be used everywhere, a little goes a long way!

💳🛍I recently went on a book ordering spree... (😝one of my favorite things, besides skincare splurges) 💻 Even though we can get seemingly endless information about skincare online, I was curious to seek out some books because I love the tactility & I really hate reading on a screen. Regarding ingredients, there is a plethora of opposing information online, & I’m sure these books will yield some of that too. It’s important to cross reference your searches, meaning checking multiple sources & comparing that information. It’s also important to consider what site is providing the information & whom might benefit from it. 📚Swipe to peek inside📖 PRETTY ICONIC A Personal Look at the Beauty Products That Changed the World By Sali Hughes 2016 💄$18-$21 (paperback version) I was most excited about this one, I’m a big fan of pop culture history & of course I love beauty products. CBD Face Cream 🌱
CANNUKA - Harmonizing Face Cream CBD 🌱 has clearly been all the rave for the past few years and now we have been seeing a growing popularity for it in skincare products. CBD is said to relieve issues like skin sensitivity, redness, and dryness. This CBD Face Cream from Cannuka grabbed my attention due to the clean and simple ingredient lists. It claims to be a “powerful and luxurious yet lightweight and delivers a burst of hydration 💦 to smooth and calm dry, irritated skin.” It contains things like: + Bees Wax 🐝 + Aloe Vera 🌵 + Vitamin E + Hemp Seed Oil 🌱 + CBD Isolate (100mg) & Manuka Honey (Active 16+) 🍯 All great ingredients that really help sensitive skin and those w/ dryness as well. Also, packaging is super cute! 🤩 I was super excited to try this out since I have been battling dry, sensitive, and dehydrated skin for the past couple years. 😣 I (luckily) found a bottle of it at my local Marshall’s and decided to grab it because it was $38-cheaper than the bottles at ULTA and other online retailers! However, I was a bit disappointed at the texture and smell of the product. It leaves a sticky residue behind; I imagine this would be better if you’re aiming to use it as a primer for makeup, a night cream, or if you layer a face oil over it, but that was one of the major things I didn’t like about it. Next was the smell! 🤢 It has a horrid citrus smell that way too overpowering and makes the product smell like its old or expired. Initially I though it was, until I read a review from another customer claiming the same thing! All in all, it is great if you have dry skin because it did moisturize my face well. It didn’t WOW me at all though, and I feel like I can find other products that work just as good or even better, without the bad smell, sticky residue, and high price tag. If you are keen on trying this, I would suggest getting it on sale or maybe a trial size if they offer it. I really wanted to love this, but I won’t be re-purchasing unfortunately. 🙁 xo Kia 💛
CANNUKA-Harmonizing Face Cream
Guess Which One Work Best???
LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream is difficult to spread and it easily pulls at the skin when applied directly onto the face. It needs to be rubbed and emulsified between your palms first. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration might appear more moisturizing, but it still needs to be emulsified between your palms before being applied onto the face. It leaves a matte finish and is not that greasy. When you wake up the next day, you'll find that it does a good job at softening, moisturizing, and repairing the skin. However, I don't recommend it for daytime use. The NIVEA Creme Japanese version has the thickest consistency of all three products and it's extremely greasy on the skin. It's not easily absorbed and, for me, I can't even use it as a moisturizer. For people with sensitive skin who want to repair the skin's barrier, consider La Mer or FAB.

Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisture I have combo/sensitive skin. This is my FAVORITE moisturizer and I’ve been using it as long as I can remember. It is seriously perfect and light weight but still hydrating enough even when my skin needs the extra love. It’s a thin consistency and just spreads on smoothly. I recommend this to everyone.

KISS DRY SKIN GOODBYE!
This is an intense hydration skin protectant formulated with soothing ingredients such as Colloidal Oatmeal, Allantoin, Ceramide 3 and the FAB Antioxidant Booster, which provides immediate relief and visible improvement for parched skin and it is clinically proven to increase hydration. Swipe & see that soft, rich and whipped texture of this cream, I love it! It just melts on the skin without any greasiness. I tried it first on my body wherein I have some dry patches and itchiness; guess what? I was surprised how it soothes my skin from first use. Since this claims to be safe to use on face, I tried it as a moisturizer and it works. It is very calming and hydrating on the skin. However, since I do have oily/combo skin it tends to be oily at the mid-day so I guess I will use this on days when my skin have any irritation or dryness. This is definitely a head-to-toe moisturizer that can be used by the whole family (safe even for babies) since it has no paraben, harsh chemical, colorants, and artificial fragrance. It has eucalyptus oil which gives a natural relaxing scent. I highly recommend this if you need instant relief and long-term hydration for dry, distressed skin, or even on eczema. This is my first FAB product and I am hooked.

La Mer $500 for Intense Hydration?
Miracle broth worth $500? (3.4oz) Got this at a discount. Below are my personal opinions. Pros: • intense hydration • hydration can stay on all day Cons: • heavy hydration might be too heavy for certain skin types • need to warm in hands for 15 secs, who’s got time for that? • include fragrance, super sensitive skin people might not prefer even tiny bit of fragrance This cream reminds me of $5 ponds. Maybe it’s way too over priced? What do y’all think? LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream

The Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30 Day Dream 💞 This moisturizer claims to provide 24-hour hydration & claims your skin will look it’s healthy best and feel touchable soft all day. There’s also SPF 30 in the moisturizer to prevent environmental skin damage. This moisturizer targets dry skin & this moisturizer is good for normal to dry skin & even sensitive skin. I really like this moisturizer because it’s really thick, but it hydrates my face! There’s also a smell in this moisturizer, but I don’t mind it because it’s a soft smell & it smells good. I also like how there’s SPF 30 in this moisturizer, which is great because it’s protecting my skin while in the sun. I decided to try this moisturizer out because I received it as a free gift with a purchase. I would recommend this product to others that are looking for a moisturizer with SPF in it. This product is really nice, so it is worth it! However, I have a sample size & the original size, which is 1.7 oz, retails for $50. The full size is a bit expensive, but sometimes there are sales for this moisturizer. I definitely recommend to get this moisturizer when it’s on sale if you want to try it!
