Fantastic Sunscreen For Daily Use☀️
So I have been trying to get into a habit of using sunscreen everyday. Not just on my face, but on my body as well (especially because of the fact that I live in Florida). I didn’t want to buy a sunscreen lotion since I already had a moisturizing lotion for my body. So, after some research, I came across Sun Bum. Sun Bum has been a loved sunscreen/tanning brand for years, but I had never used any of their products before. I was reading up on their sunscreen sprays and they all had really great reviews. I then went upon myself and bought the Sun Bum SPF 50 Sunscreen Spray. All in all, it has been a really great product that I have added to my routine. It is lightweight, uses healthy ingredients, and it smells delicious!! It protects my whole body from UV rays and it doesn’t make my skin feel sticky throughout the day. If you’re not a fan of sunscreen lotion like myself, I would definitely recommend you giving this a shot!! It reminds me of the beach every time I apply it🏝

Hydrogel Eye Patches for the Win! ✨
As I got older, I noticed that I was beginning to develop under eye issues such as dark circles and puffiness. This is a common concern that most people deal with as a result from aging. I’ve tried out eye creams in the past, but none of them really worked on me :/ (as Skincare By Hyram says, most eye creams are just an expensive form of moisturizer🙈). Anyways, as I was doing online shopping for some skincare products, I needed to add a small item to my cart to get free shipping (LOL) and I came across these hydrogel eye patches from Petitfee. At the time, they were only 7 dollars so I decided to give them a shot. Now, I wish I had found out about these sooner! These eye patches contain rose water, collagen, and gold; these ingredients help target specific areas of the under eye and leave your skin moisturized instantly! I put them on in the mornings and leave them under my eyes for about 30 minutes. Once I remove them from my face, I can see a huge difference in regards to my appearance. My dark circles disappear and my puffiness is completely eliminated for the day. Plus, incorporating these eye patches in my routine help fight off wrinkles as I get older! This is a K-beauty brand/product so I am not surprised by the great results from these patches! They are a win for any skin type :)

A Toner That is Beneficial for All Skin Types 🍵
Toners are a bit of a hit or miss for me. I feel like a majority of toners are way too over-stripping and end up doing more bad than good to a person’s skin. After some research, I have made an exception for Isntree’s Green Tea Toner. This toner was made in Korea and I bought it from Stylevana. Recently, I have been getting into Korean skin care and it has been a positive experience! Beauty is very important in South Korea so I am not surprised that they use quality ingredients in all of their products. For example, a main ingredient in this specific toner is green tea extract, which is sooo hard to find in American skincare items; and if you do find it, they tend to be incredibly overpriced. Green tea is an antioxidant that can help with redness, dryness, and overall the appearance of your skin; it can be considered an anti-aging property as well! I absolutely love this toner because it balances my skin’s pH levels, doesn’t leave my skin feeling irritable, and provides my face with a glow☺️. This is the first K-beauty item that I have posted on my account and I will be posting many more in the future! If you have had a bad history with toners, I suggest you give this one a try (it’s only 13 dollars) ❤️

Amazing Yet Underrated: Azelaic Acid Suspension
Alright, let’s be honest; I feel like a majority of people that are into skincare know about the Ordinary. It is a brand that has been getting a lot of exposure lately because of its affordable prices with great quality products. Their serums (niacinamide, hyaluronic acid) are one of the most popular products from the line. Although I own and love these serums, there is a product that I came across and bought that has helped my skin tremendously over the past few months. This product is the Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%; it is defined as a “multifunctional brightening formula.” This suspension is so well rounded and can treat various skin concerns. Azelaic acid is an antioxidant that helps with dark spots, pores, and redness; and although I don’t suffer from acne, I heard that this ingredient helps a lot with the healing process of acne scarring. Lastly, it’s super lightweight and makes my skin feel very soft! Even though this product is great for all skin types, I would do a skin patch test if you have sensitive skin (considering the fact that it is a direct acid). If your skin does not react well to the suspension, it could lead to skin irritation so be careful. But aside from that, I think that the Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% can benefit anyone and it’s only about 8 dollars! I use it only at night, but it’s gentle enough to be applied twice a day daily. Just make sure to put on your sunscreen in the daytime :)

Affordable Curly Shampoo and Conditioner! 🥥➿
This post is for all of my fellow curly hair people :). Curly hair is beautiful and super fun to work with, but let’s be honest, it can be quite expensive to manage. Curly hair needs shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, curling cream/lotion, and even mousse to be able to maintain a hydrated and voluminous texture. These products add up and sometimes the outcome does not come out as expected. I have had a lot of trials and tribulations with my hair (I have 3a/3b curly hair), but I am so grateful that I have found HASK. The Hask Curl Care Shampoo and Curl Care Conditioner have treated my hair really well! They smell amazing, have no sulfates/parabens and they also do not affect colored/dyed hair. The best part is that they are only about 5 dollars each :0; I found them at Walmart for these prices. It is nice to be able to have an affordable, but effective curly hair routine! I want to thank @Rosemariefor this suggestion😊

Hydrating Body Lotion That Smells Yummy🍍🍈
So growing up, I have always had dry skin. It was a struggle for me to find a body lotion/cream that genuinely moisturized my skin without my body feeling so sticky. There are many great drugstore body lotions/creams, but most of them are unscented. I don’t like to put fragrance products on my face, but I tend to make an exception for my body to smell good haha. Anyways, one of my friends recommended I try HEMPZ because they have a wide variety of lotions, some even with CBD oil. I gave it a shot and I don’t regret it at all! I fell in love with the Sweet Pineapple and Honey Melon scent. It makes my skin super soft, hydrated, and it smells delicious :). Although it’s a bit pricey (I got mine on sale for $17), it comes in a decent-sized bottle and the scent and moisture lasts for hours. The hemp seed oil is an amazing ingredient and if you are a fan of CBD oil, I encourage you to try this brand out!

Just say no to these ingredients
Paraben- Parabens are preservatives found in everything from soap to lotion to makeup. Examples include: methylparaben, proplyparaben, isopropylparaben, and isobutylparaben. Parabens are known endocrine disruptors, meaning they mimic estrogen in the body and can lead to hormonal imbalances, and possibly even breast cancer. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate— SLS/SLES are foaming agents used in a slew of personal care products, including skin care and cosmetics, shampoo, and toothpaste. They are surfactants that can cause skin irritation or trigger allergies. Additionally, chemical compounds known as “nitrosamines” are common by-products of the sulphation process. 90% of nitrosamines are believed to be carcinogenic. Phthalates- A phthalate is a plasticizer that is added to plastic to keep it from becoming brittle. Phthalates are used in cosmetics primarily in fragrances, and can also be found in other personal care products, such as hair spray and nail polish. Examples include: DBP, DEHP, DEP and others. Like parabens, phthalates are endocrine disruptors and can cause hormonal and reproductive problems and birth defects. Diethanolamine- Diethanolamine is a foaming agent. It’s a known carcinogen and respiratory toxin, which is why the EU has restricted its use in personal care products. Despite this, it’s still used in bubble bath, body wash, and shampoo in the US. It’s often abbreviated as DEA on cosmetic labels. Triclosan- Triclosan is an antibacterial agent once used in antibacterial soaps. In 2016, it was banned from soap used in health-care settings, but it is still allowed in personal cosmetics. Not only does triclosan contribute to antibiotic resistant bacteria, but it’s also an endocrine disruptor and was shown to contribute to gut inflammation and promote tumor growth in mouse studies. It’s incredibly important that you check the ingredients in the products you are using. ❤️ Let me know if you’d like another list!!
Pits + Privates
I recently was gifted this body deodorant spray in a Nourish Beauty box. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure how I would like it or use it because I’m not the type that can get away with using only natural deodorant so I wasn’t sure how this would fit into my routine. Then it occurred to me. I’m a nighttime shower person. I like to wash the day off after work before getting in bed, but I also like to let my skin and my armpits breathe for a couple hours without clogging them with aluminum while I sleep but in the summer especially it tends to get hot at night and I wake up sweaty. I started spraying this on my armpits after my shower and before bed. It doesn’t prevent me from sweating but it keeps me smelling and feeling fresh from the time I shower to waking up in the morning! It has a nice light scent too that Isn’t overpowering at all. I also have used this a few times before going on a run. I’ll spritz just a little between my thighs to help with the sweaty situation down there- I wouldn’t recommend spraying this directly on the vulva- it says “pits and privates” so I think it’s safe to use on the thigh surrounding area and maybe over underwear just to keep things fresh but it could be irritating on the delicate vulva skin so be careful!
