SPF 50 sunscreens
Sunscreen is a Must. 🌞
Korean sunscreens have really changed the game for sunscreens world wide. The formulations really prove how advanced their skincare is compared to others. I’ve never not liked a Korean sunscreen because they don’t leave a white cast, they don’t hurt reefs, and they don’t break me out. If you’re thinking of making the switch I would totally say go for it! Here are two of my favorites! Krave - The Beet Shield - this doesnt say sunscreen on it because technically they can’t market it as a sunscreen here in the states because we haven’t approved of their ingredients for sun fighting but it is still a sun screen! This is so lightweight on the skin and gives a night healthy glow without being super oily. Plays well under makeup and I’ve never had any irritation from this formula. Bioré - Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ - you can buy this sunscreen on amazon and it is VERY similar to the Krave one but you get more and this one does contain fragrance if you’re sensitive to it. This one leaves you hydrated as well without irritation and plays well under makeup. These two are very similar so if one is easier to get than the other then I would go for the easily accessible. :)
Save My Face (And Lips) From The Sun
Have you skipped wearing SPF just because you’re too lazy? I was like that too until I learned the importance of wearing SPF through all my research on skincare. It doesn’t just guard us from having skin cancer, it also preempts premature aging. Bioré - Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ I like my SPF light, watery, and runny. The last thing I want to have on my face is a thick layer of product that makes me feel like I plastered a pudding on my face (especially when it’s ultra hot outside). This watery essence that has a high SPF count is perfect for sunny (and even gray) days outside. It shields the skin from the harmful effects of the sun while maintaining light moisture on the skin. I think it does a great job in shielding the harmful rays of the sun but I don’t like the fact that alcohol lands 2nd in the ingredient list after water. That means it has a super high concentration of alcohol in it, which isn’t good for sensitive skin like mine. It even smells like disinfecting alcohol, I’m not kidding. I don’t recommend it to others because of its high alcohol content. If they can only limit its amount, it could’ve been a great moisturizer with sunscreen. THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin E Lip Care Stick SPF 15 I didn’t know that I needed to put on SPF on my lips too. I thought I’m good to go just because I slather sunscreen on my face, neck, and even ears. But I always forget to apply on my lips. That is, until my sister told me about it. And she’s totally right ‘cause lips have skin too. So since then, I’ve been applying lip balm with sunscreen in it, like The Body Shop Vitamin E lip balm. It has SPF 15 so it protects the lips from the sun. It glides on easily. It doesn't come off as too thick nor too think so it’s a perfect base for when I’m applying lipstick. It’s colorless too so perfect as a pre-lipstick ritual. I definitely recommend this to everyone!

THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. 🧐
Hey girl hey! So you wanna know the tea, the truth, hand on bible word of God, about this tik tok famous product The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ? Well girl you have come to the right place. I’ll tell ya how I use it, how long I use it and the pros and cons imo. But before I dive in.... PLEASE HIT THAT FOLLOW BUTTON SIS and give ya girl a cheer! LYLAS4eva if you do. ❤️ also if you want more content, follow my IG and tik tok @bealizbeauty. K. Now that I shamelessly plugged my social media accounts, here’s the lowdown on this product. Honestly, this product has 100% changed my skin for the better BUT there are some big things to get to used to if you are up for it. No tea no shade to those who don’t want to put up with its con because the con of this “perfect” product is a pretty big con. 1. How I use it: I used this product after I cleanse my skin with DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil and I use this 2x a week on Sundays and Wednesdays. (If you want to see an in-depth skincare routine, lmk in the comments below.) Do not use this product more than 2x a week! The bottle says so! 2. How long I use it: ONLY 10 MINS! Literally follow the bottle instructions. They are there for a reason. Do not leave this on longer than that. I haven’t tried it but I don’t think it helps your skin for the better. 3. Pros: Literally dark spots who? I’ve tried everything under the sun to lighten up my dark spots and none of those products have helped lighten and get rid of my dark spots better than this product. Goodbye Acne scars! Honestly I am notorious for popping pimples and picking at my scabs. DO NOT DO THIS. I’m a creature of habit and honestly am trying to grow out of this. But this product helps with my acne scars! It shrinks the scars and scabs that there basically is nothing left for me to pick at. 4. Con: OOOOO THIS PRODUCT BURNS. I’m on my 2nd bottle and this still stings my face. The sting of this product is NO JOKE. If you have sensitive skin, I definitely do not recommend this product. My skin is made of Teflon so I’m used to the sting but it does get to me sometimes. After some high level research, Lactic acid is a great alternative. I am a huge proponent for The Ordinary as a brand so this The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA might be a pretty good alternative. So that’s the tea of this product. I’m on bottle #2 and it is one of my holy grail products. But I totally understand the aversion of this product. Let me know in the comments below what your experience has been if you have tried this product and if there are other products you have tried that has been a good alternative! LYLAS! Xoxo. UPDATE: THE LOVE ON THIS POST HAS BEEN AWESOME YALL! I really appreciate it. I’ve been trying to break into the beauty game for a while but had no success on YT or IG. All I ask is to check out my other posts and give them the same love! I’ll LYLAS4EVA! Thanks y’all! 💋
Current Night Skincare Routine 🌛
I have recently changed my skincare routine because I started using Curology. I switched to this from my DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel because I wanted to try out tretinoin. They mention that it’s best to keep your routine simple, so that’s what i am doing! Cleanser: I do the two step cleansing method, which is where you first go in with an oil to break down makeup, sunscreen, and oils - then you go in with a water based cleanser to finish the job. The oil cleanser I have been using is DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil - I love this oil cleanser. It is so lightweight and simple. Plus once you add water it emulsifies beautifully without leaving any residue. The water based cleanser I have been using is the new CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser this is a game changer!! It’s like the combined the hydrating formula with the foaming formula! Doesn’t strip the skin at all but foams a lot! Toner: Necessary? No, but I do like a good hydrating toner to just prep my skin for the next step and restore some of the moisture from cleansing, even tho that cerave doesn’t strip my skin. I have been loving this ETUDE HOUSE - SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner - I have only been using this for about 4 days so I can’t recommend it yet but I do really like it so far. Treat: Here comes the Curology - Curology formula - I have a post talking about my formula and stuff so check that out if interested but so far I’m enjoying it. Moisturizer: This stuff is my new HOLY GRAIL! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations is so good for dry irritated skin. It’s called a baume but it sinks into the skin amazingly, without being greasy and sticky. I haven’t experienced any dryness from tretinoin because of this product. So that’s it! That’s my whole skincare routine. I’ve really been enjoying a more simple routine and I think my skin is too. :)
Different weather, changing sleep cycle, and so much sugar are plenty of contributing factors that can cause my skin to completely freak out when travelling. For that reason, I keep a ready to go skincare bag in my drawer at all times. I always bring basic products that I know my skin already loved when I travel. I also avoid to bring heavy-duty products, like acid toner or mask, to avoid any unexpected reaction on my skin. So today, I thought I'd share some of my skincare essentials inside this cute 𝐓𝐒𝐀 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐠 . 𝘏𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘴 Proper cleansing and hydration will help my skin manage the stress and keep it looking calm throughout the trip. This means applying essence, like skii 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 that I put on a little spray bottle; and applying facial oil like the odacite 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦. To refresh dried chapped lips, I use 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐮𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲. 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯, 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦 Did you know that the skin is at a higher risk of a burn when we're in an airplane than we are on the ground? I bring the kiehls 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐔𝐕 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 because it doesn't break me out. 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴 Rather than having to carry on multiple cleansers, I carry biossance 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 + 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐬. They're gentle and alcohol-free, great to use on the airplane and in the hotel room. 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘴 The odacite 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫 will ensure that I thoroughly remove impurities and makeup. And deciem 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐭 will replenish my skin with the needed skin barrier elements to avoid dehydration or irritation from environmental factors and toxins.
I wake up late most of the time which makes me super lazy in the “morning” and I really prefer to do minimal routines and I thought it'd be perfect to use these products from loveisderma. I'm super excited to share what I think about their products because I have been using their sunscreen a lot and it's really surprising knowing how I always forget to wear SPF. Haha but today, I’ll be sharing my initial thoughts on these products I used. 💛 ➖➖➖ ☀️ Foaming Cleanser - I like how it's gentle but I'm not crazy about the scent. It's fragrance-free but it reminds me of the hospital hahahuhu. I'm not sure if that makes any sense. I like using this as a second cleanser or in the morning because it's gentle ✨ ➖ ☀️ Hydramax Serum - This one reminds me of The Ordinary Niacinamide’s texture and scent (Probably bec it has niacinamide in it too!) However, it's not peeling and it's super extra hydrating! I really really enjoy using this one. ➖ ☀️ UV Clear SPF 50 - First time to use this today, I like how it's similar to the other sunscreen from their line except it's not tinted. It blends nicely but I'm probably gonna use this more on my neck/chest than my face just because I really like the UV Shield one which is tinted and just right for my shade and tone ☺️💖
Dos and Don’ts for Dull Skin
Am I the only one bothered by dull skin and desperately looking for ways to add glow to my skin? After years of searching, I came up with several tricks that have become a necessity for me to keep that little shine I strived to gain. And I am more than happy that I could share with you guys and hope they could be of some help. Now let’s begin: · Do always cleanse thoroughly and don’t choose harsh products at this step You may also have the experience of seeing a scary face after you remove the makeup, not only from the comparison between with or without makeup but also from a face having borne the burden of makeup the whole day. You need to cleanse thoroughly but also choose some mild and soothing products to treat yourself after a long day. I would like to recommend Eve Lom’s cleanser. It came with a muslin cloth and has the steps clarified in the packaging. It may seem a little complicated, but I personally enjoy the process of messaging and feeling my skin being cleansed and even spa-ed. I also love the scent of this product but if you are sensitive to scents, I recommend you try it out before you buy. I especially love how the skin felt after the use: clean but never too dry, and never dull. · Do Incorporate vitamin C while moisturizing I am currently using the mandarin facial hydrating cream from Aesop. This brand embraces natural ingredients and make their products both good in texture and scent, which I love a lot! The ingredients here to highlight are tangerine peel oil and lemon peel oil, both rich in vitamin c, which could help remove dark spots and make the skin light and glowy again. And I never find the cream too oily but bring about a good balance. · Wear SPF daily to avoid further dullness from sun damage and don’t think you could skip this step when you are at home Let’s be honest: the sun is not a good friend to our skin. To protect the damage from the sun, we surely need SPF on a daily basis even at home, for UV light can easily penetrate the window. I am using an urban environment, an oil-free UV protector, from Shiseido. I love it in summer when the sun damage could be the highest. And it’s oil-free, so I could help protect my skin without feeling the burden of too much oil. These have become necessities in my daily skin routine. I would also take some days off during a weekend, not wearing any makeup, and let my skin have a rest. I am seeing improvements now. If you have more tips about treating dull skin, please let me know~~ >3

Easy morning skincare in a rush💨
Ever had days you feel so rush in the morning to keep up your skincare routine when you are almost later for school or work? I feel like every weekdays I am always in a rush especially in the morning when I race time time for bus or train. I love keeping a simple morning skincare routine just to buy myself a little bit more time. If you are like me.This is for you! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 This Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 is one of my favorite product from Drunk Elephant. First used a sample size from Sephora and then went for a full size. This Drunk Elephant uses Zinc Oxide 20% in this sunscreen. Unlike many other chemical SPF, this is a physical one. If you have acne prone skin, this is a really great product! If you have oily skin, you might not like it because of how hydrating it is. It Doesn’t take long for it to absorb into the skin. It mixes well with my foundation for a more sheer effect. It may leave a bit of a white cast on deeper skin tones. It doesn’t make me break out like a lot of other sunscreens. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum An anti-aging provitamin B5 gel that replenishes, brightens, and improves the appearance of skin texture. Absolutely love this gel. I use this after cleaning my face in the morning as a moisturizer. My skin is super hydrated and very plump. Honestly when you are in a rush, these is really no time to put on toner, serum or moisturizers layer by layer and wait them to be absorbed before another layer. It isn’t too sticky or oily, which is perfect for my skin type as a combination dry. I feel my skin stays hydrated throughout the day, my makeup applies beautifully on top without any issues. If I am not hurry, I would add 1-2 drops of marula oil to add extra nutrient in it. No need to mention how attractive the whole line of Drunk Elephant is. And it is easy to use. Even if you’re in a rush, you should always try to stick to your skincare routine each morning

daily skin care routine 🧚🏼♀️✨🍒
so this is my first post !! i’m so excited i found this beauty community !! a little about my skin,,, i have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin, with a bit of eczema so i’m always weary to try new products in fear of a reaction. i’ve had acne for 7 years now and have tried every product under the sun,, but nothing seemed to work for me. but this quarantine has given me so much time on my hands i’ve been able to do a bunch of research on ingredients and different products. but i’ll get right into the review & my opinion on these products :)) 1) CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin i really like this cleanser because it is super gentle on both the skin and acne, and i can actually feel it soothing my face when i wash with it. it doesn’t lather a whole lot and my face doesn’t feel stripped or dry after using it. i don’t use a full pump either, just half works for me. it has helped soothe some irritation and redness in my skin. 2)The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product or ingredient even isn’t something i had heard of until i really started getting into skin care but it is totallyyy underrated. i feel like not many people know how amazing this product is for so many skin concerns. i have a lot of hyperpigmentation and redness and this has helped calm my skin down a wholeee lot. i don’t look like a complete tomato without makeup now. my scars and pigmentation are starting to fade and my face just feels so much less irritated. definitely one of my holy grail products. 3)The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA okay so this isn’t one of my favorite products in the world, but it gets the job done. i’m actually just using this until my new moisturizer arrives in the mail. this product is a bit thick but does a good job of moisturizing. i just prefer a lighter consistency. it doesn’t make me oily at all, even after 12 hours of wear. i don’t hate it, but i’m not in love with it either. 4)CeraVe - Retinol Face Serum For Post-Acne Marks now i would like to say that the general population is completely misled about retinol. it is marketed as an anti-aging product, which it does, but was originally developed to treat acne ! this is the very first retinol i have ever used and i started about a week & a half ago. even with this little time it’s been used, it has helped my acne sooo much. all of my pimples have gotten smaller, my texture has smoothed out dramatically, and it’s even changed my skin from oily to combination. i am in love with this product so far and i can’t wait to see more results in the weeks to come. definitely my holy grail !! (I only use this at night) 5) PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block something every skin care fanatic needs and should use everyday is a good sunscreen. as an oily-skinned gal, i was less than thrilled when i found out as sunscreen usually just made me an oily mess. but this sunscreen is great !! absorbs quickly with no white cast. works great under makeup too.
