Don’t miss it! This brush set is a 10!
Brush set for beginners, it’s a 10! You must have!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 If I can only choose one make up brush set to keep using that Real Techniques Core Collection Makeup Brush Set is my NO.1 option. REAL TECHNIQUES - Core Collection
Detailer Brush: The small detailer brush can be used for applying eyeshadow to small areas, like highlighting the inner corner or brow bone, or applying a color just on one part of the lid, or also for concealer.
Square Foundation Brush: The only brush I don't use is the flat foundation brush simply because I don't like to apply my foundation with brushes like that and also it's kinda small to apply foundation, but may be nice to apply it in small or hard to get areas. You could also use it to apply face masks if you don't like to use your hands.
Buffing Brush: The buffing brush in this collection is amazing. It's my go to foundation brush, it's a flawlessly blends foundation.
Contour Brush: The contour brush is a little too small for all over foundation application but it can be used for contouring, bronzer, blush, highlighter, and powder (it's nice to set Undereye with). It is also perfect brush for hollowing those cheekbones or applying under eye setting powder. The brushes are made of synthetic so it won’t absorb the cosmetics. For precise application, each brush is handcrafted to obtain the perfect shape. And each brush has a name on it which makes it ideal for beginners. I swear before I bought this set, I was really dazzled by the variety of brushes, totally have no idea how to use them. By the way, they are lightweight and easy to use!! Fantastic quality as well! You can guarantee that it is made of high quality since it is created by renowned celebrity makeup artist, Samantha Chapman. PROFESSIONAL! Pros: ● Perfect for newbies ● Ultra-plush, cruelty-free, brushes ● Panoramic case Cons: ● The pointed foundation blush may be too small ● Some sets sold on Amazon may be fake ● The case can’t fit more brushes
MY TOP 5 EYESHADOW BRUSHES
These are my favourite (and essential) eye makeup brushes to create perfectly blended eyeshadow looks. Here they are in the same order as the first photo: Pencil Brush: Jessup 230 Lux Pencil Brush. This is a mixed synthetic and natural bristle makeup brush. I got this for quite cheap on eBay in a travel kit Jessup BEAUTY - Luxury T264 and I think it’s one of the only brushes I’ve kept from the kit. It’s very soft! My favourite way to use this brush is for putting on inner corner highlight. Inner corner highlighter helps open up the eyes—scroll through the photos for an example. Blending Brush: Hakuhodo J5523. This is a beautiful Japanese makeup brush is 100% soft goat hair, and I bought this for $19. I’ve had this brush for years and it’s worth its weight in gold. This brush is perfect for creating beautifully blended eyeshadow. With this, I use the lightest touch and it’s almost as if the eyeshadow blends itself! It's very similar to the MAC 217 MAC - 217S Synthetic Blending Brush (Hakuhodo actually makes the MAC brushes for them). Shading Brush: MAC 239. MAC - 239S Synthetic Eye Shader Brush This is a natural bristle brush that costs $26.50. It’s perfect for packing shades on the lid—it picks up colors easily from your palette so you can really pack the shade onto your lid (before blending out with a J5523!). It’s a flat, dense, and versatile brush—just like the J5523, I’ve had this for a very long time. Blending Brush: Real Techniques Fluffy Blender. I bought this about 7 years ago in an eye kit that RT doesn’t make anymore, but any large, fluffy synthetic brush should do the trick. I actually don’t use this brush to apply any eyeshadow. I use it to make sure my eyeshadow is well blended at the edges. This brush looks most similar from RTREAL TECHNIQUES - Perfect Crease Duo Detail Brush: Real Techniques Accent Brush. REAL TECHNIQUES - Detailer Brush This tiny brush is from the same kit as my other Real Techniques brush. This is the perfect little brush for blending eyeshadow on the lower lashline. It’s tiny enough so that you don’t look like a panda after blending out the eyeshadow, but blending eyeshadow under your eyes makes the entire look appear much more cohesive (and professional!)
Real Techniques Detailer Brush
I got this brush in their core set! At first I thought wth am I going to use this for. I currently use this brush strictly for inner eye corner highlight and highlighting my brow bone and it does the perfect job! It picks up the right amount of product and applies it perfectly to the above mentioned areas! It is a synthetic brush. I have not seen any shedding during wash or use. REAL TECHNIQUES - Detailer Brush 💕SKINTYPE: oily, acne-prone, texture at times 💕SKINTONE: medium warm 💕HAIRTYPE: 1a, dark brown colour, oily scalp
I will not drop this setting powder brush ever!
I got this stuff in my REAL TECHNIQUES Daily Essential set. I bought this set since it looks perfect for beginners. 400 is the biggest brush in this set. I love the elegant and gorgeous dark pink look. I remember the price for the whole set is around $22 on Amazon, and 400 itself cost $8.89 if bought single. I think the price of less than $9 for a brush in this size is really affordable as the single brush of big makeup brands will cost at least $50. Actually, RL official defines this brush as blush or bronzer brush. I used it for blush at the beginning, but I found it more suitable for setting powder. As you can see from the pics I attached, it has an oval shape. The bristles are super soft! When putting this brush onto the face, you almost do not feel it since it’s so soft. I love RL’s idea of making cruelty-free products. This brush is made of synthetic bristles which is less prone to breakage than natural hair brushes. Also, as it’s non-porous, it doesn’t trap or absorb product, which appeals to me. Also, it’s very lightweight. It’s densely packed and you do not need to worry about bristle-falling. As the second shown photo, you must find it very easy to catch powder. I found this when I mistook it with my setting powder brush, from when I started to take it as my setting powder brush. The big fluffy head works well at distributing and blending the setting powder around the face. I love pair it with my MAKE UP FOR EVER setting powder. They can always give me a mattified flawless finish, which will last for a whole day. I will rate this brush 5 stars. Oh, I almost forget to mention that it’s very easy to clean. You can clean it with common makeup remover. If you’re looking for a cheap but high-quality setting powder brush, you may try this stuff. You can never pay me to switch this baby.

Drugstore price, pro quality: real technique brushes are totally a steal!
This brush set was my first purchase when I became exposed to the beauty world: facing all the various fancy brush brands and sets, I got totally lost, having no idea which one would be the best for my green hand. Then one of my friends helped me out. She recommended the brand Real Technique to me, saying this is totally affordable and of great quality. It turns out true. Now I’ve been using this face brush set for over two years and I am still satisfied with its performance in applying highlighter, blush and facing powder on my cheek. So here comes a detailed review. What does it include？ This set is called the “flawless base set” and with it comes four brushes. I lost one so that’s why I only have three now lol. These brushes can be used in multiple ways: 204 Buffing: it is perfect to apply compact powder foundation 205 Square Foundation: I use it to apply foundation and draw contour lines. 206 Contour: If you like cream/liquid products you need this! I use it for foundation, blending out under eye concealer, cream blush and bronzer, as well as highlight. How much does it cost and where to buy? You can buy this set at Ulta or Target and it costs only $20. How does it feel? All of the four brushes have amazing-soft bristles and they are super soft although they are made of synthetic hair. Is it worth it? They are worth every penny! As I said, the price is totally reasonable when the quality is so amazing. Plus the fact that they last a long time, I would say it’s totally a steal! What else you need to know? They clean very well, which means that their softness could be maintain. I would especially recommend it to newbies since the price allows you to buy different sets and help you focus on specific skills or techniques one step at a time.

My Favorite Makeup Brushes & Tools
Good makeup brushes and tools are something you can never have too many of. You also don’t need to spend a lot. I got many of these brushes and tools on sale, from the drugstore or other affordable retailers, free gifts with purchase (GWP), or in subscription boxes over the course of time. Face: e.l.f. - e.l.f. Complexion Brush love this for diffusing bronzer or all over powder F·A·R·A·H brushes - Gold Face Brush Trio the F60 powder brush is great for loose or pressed powder. No issues with it. The other 2 brushes in this trio shed badly, unfortunately. Ulta blush brushes - both of these were free GWPs. Ulta often includes them so I suggest shopping on a day Ulta offers GWPs or large sets because the brushes aren’t available on their own. BOXYCHARM - FIVE BRUSH SET WITH BC LOGO POUCH The foundation brush is thick and dense, perfect for blending foundation. Some of the other brushes shed but not this one. 💰9! This is the setting powder brush I have used for the longest time
A perfect foundation look can’t live without setting powder. While applying setting powder can’t live without a good powder brush. This was the truth that I knew since I was a makeup newbie. When I first started to show my interest in makeup, my elder sister suggested me to do a setting powder step with a powder brush. She recommended me to buy this powder brush from Real TechniquesREAL TECHNIQUES - Base Powder Brush, 1 Brush. When I used this brush, it soon became my favorite powder brush. Several years later, I’m still using this brush and it is the setting powder brush I have used for the longest time. You must have heard about Real Techniques, a professional brand which produces quality makeup brushes, sponges and other applications. Brushes from Real Techniques are basically designed for makeup stater. So if you have not used brush tools for makeup before, and you want to have a try, you can pick brushes form this brand. This powder brush is the best drugstore powder brush that is affordable for makeup newbies. It retails for about $9. I enjoy every time setting my foundation with this powder brush. A little dusting goes a long way with this powder brush. It has a plush large head which makes you feel so fluffy and soft for each time you applying to your face. With those big head of fluffy bristles, I can easily finish setting down my whole face in a short period of time. The bristles are fine but strong, and are able to grab and place a good amount of powder without wasting. The metal banding across the middle is quite quality. The one I bought has a orange metal banding. While last year they launched a new packaging with pink metal banding, which is really fantastic. I will definitely buy a new pink one!

Makeup should be professional! You need a brush set!
At the beginning of makeup, you don't need to distinguish the use of each makeup brush. Several months ago, while trying on perfume in Sephore, I happened to see a 15% discount on make-up brushes for the whole set, which would be about $100 after the discount. I bought it and went home to and search how to use each brush. I'm going to tell you all about them. First, the biggest one is for brushing powder, that is, after applying the base makeup. Personally, I don't think it is necessary to buy. Because the general powder will be equipped with the corresponding powder puff. The second thing I'd like to introduce is that it comes in three different sizes: large, medium, small and three sizes. Eyeshadow brushes are a great buy because girls have a lot of monochromatic eyeshadow in addition to eye shadow trays. The 3rd is eyebrow pencil double - use brush, this is very necessary buy. A lot of eyebrow pencils out there will be very misaligned. The fourth is concealer brush, concealer brush also has two models, one is the detail brush, one is the ordinary concealer brush. The fifth is the shadow brush. The sixth is the blush brush. Personally, I think the blush brush has only one size, and the brush is too big, which is not very friendly to girls with small faces. The seventh is the highlighter brush. Highlighter brush is friendly to girls who use solid highlighter. However, my personal makeup feels heavy, so I usually use the highlighter on the makeup egg. That's all Sephora has in its basic set of foundation brushes. If you're a makeup artist or a serious makeup lover, check out Sephora’s website, which also has a brief description of the 10,12 brushes.
$9.9 | Best Powder Brush Ever
REAL TECHNIQUES - Base Powder Brush, 1 Brush I'm in love with this powder brush from Real Techniques! 💝💕💗 ⭐️ WHEN & WHY I BOUGHT IT? ⭐️ I first bought it about 5 years ago, because everyone around me recommended it. The price is super affordable, only $9.9. My friends told me like “if you need a good brush but don’t want to break your bank, buy it! “ ⭐️ HONEST REVIW⭐️ Bare in mind, so far it's the best powder brush that I have and I use it every day to set my face and neck with compact powder. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Somebody commented that the powder stays on the brush and doesn't transfer well on the face. I did not notice that. It glides over my skin smoothly, applying my powder evenly all over my face without it looking cakey. My face becomes a bit more matte after I use the brush. I don't like to put too much powder on my face and this one helps with that. Also, I washed it a lot, the durability is great. I did not have any bristles shedding. ⭐️ New VS Old⭐️ Bristles: The bristles of the new pink one is softer but flimsier. Some people may like it, but I don’t. It’s the way too soft for me. It's a challenge to apply the powder onto and into the nose crease because they have no "strength" to them. Powder flies EVERYWHERE, even when I apply the smallest amount to my brush. It’s a Disappointing Downgrade :( Handles: Beside the brush head, the new handles (straight, with plastic painted to match) are also a downgrade. The old tapered handles were much more ergonomic, and fit the hand well. The new handles are straight and almost comically large in diameter for no discernable reason (although I'd hazard a guess that it's cheaper to manufacture a more or less straight tube, rather than an hour glass shaped one.) The new handles aren't very comfortable, especially if you have small hands like me. I don't know if it's psychological, I miss the old design lol 😂 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ I bought tons of old orange colored one in case I need to change to a new one while they do not produce anymore :)
