WHICH ONE IS BEST?! 😰
First things first - FOLLOW ME! 🤗💛✨ EFFACLAR MICRO-PEELING PURIFYING GEL (on the left): Effaclar Micro-Peeling Purifying Gel Cleanser is the ultimate cleanser for acne-prone skin to not only deeply exfoliate and help to reduce excess sebum but to also target pimples and visibly reduce breakout recurrence. The scientifically proven formula with LHA and Salicylic Acid micro-exfoliates and purifies the skin helping to eliminate dead skin cells, deeply unclogs pores and reduces excess sebum visibly reducing the appearance of blackheads and pimples. EFFACLAR FOAMING GEL CLEANSER: A cult favourite! A foaming cleanser specially formulated for sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin. This gentle and effective acne face wash eliminates impurities, excess sebum and lifts dirt away. The Effaclar Foaming Gel cleanser respects the skin’s PH balance so there is no disruption to the skin’s natural balance. The two main active ingredients are thermal spring water and Zinc PCA. Zinc PCA anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antifungal properties which helps to fight the bacteria that cause acne. Zinc PCA also reduces sebum production which reduces the cause of breakouts, pimples and blackheads without impairing the skin barrier. THE MAIN DIFFERENCES: The purifying gel is more exfoliating with its salicylic acid and likely to be more effective in acne treatment and prevention. The foaming gel cleanser is a lot more gentle and suitable for oily/sensitive skin. I use both these products and use them on alternating days and find it works really well for me! Comment your thoughts on these cleansers! 🙌🏽 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Micro-Peeling Purifying Gel Wash

my skin has been going THROUGH it recently and i wanted to persist with the cerave cleanser CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin but i just wasn’t seeing the results i wanted, my acne just kept persisting. After chatting with some colleagues i decided to try the la roche posay anti acne starter kit to see if this works any better for me. what do you guys think of these products? i also thought i would give The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalanea go as sqaulane is meant to be amazing for your skin barrier and overall skin health! i’m excited to see how i go with these new goodies!! i’ll report back in a couple of weeks ✨LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming GelLA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+)

Is it okay to use this cleanser every day?
Is it okay to use this cleanser every day?
I’m starting out a new skincare regiment after destroying my face with Adapalene gel for 6 months. My question is is it okay to use a benzoyl peroxide (4%) face wash every day? I’ve heard you’re not supposed to use a 10% every day because it can dry out your skin but I have fairly oily skin and need it dried just enough so I don’t look like an oil monster aha. I’ve been using Cerave’s CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinfor right now but it’s just not getting rid of my acne. I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter and healthier while I’m using it, but I still have pretty bad acne. Salicylic Acid doesn’t work on my face in terms of getting rid of acne, unfortunately or I would be using that cleanser instead! Thanks! (This is my first post so any advice is very welcomed! I’ll try to update once I get the hang of this! 😊)

BIG SKIN CARE NO-NOs (that I used to do)
BIG SKIN CARE NO-NOs (that I used to do)
At the time, I had deep cystic acne that I would do anything to get rid of. Here are some things I thought were helping, but in reality made it worse: - LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin *this product tends to be overly drying which can cause over-production of oil and clog pores. - using hand soap as face wash *I thought this made it better because the Effaclar wash actually made my skin worse, this just did less damage. - Lemon Juice *I heard this would get rid of scarring and used it A LOT. To my dismay, not only does it create bacteria because it isn’t formulated in a lab, but it’s extremely irritating to the skin and can unbalance the skins natural pH levels. - I didn’t moisturize *Hydration is important for the skin because without it your skin will try to over compensate for the dryness. This creates excess oil, clogs pores, and creates breakouts. - Coconut Oil * This also clogs pores! -Straight Strawberries on Face *This has so much bacteria on it, skin care products are formulated in labs specifically so you don’t have this issue. -Didn’t wear sunscreen *I thought I didn’t burn and that the sun would make my scarring go away. Spoiler, it makes it so much worse! WEAR SUNSCREEN!

My Anti-Redness Elixir
My Anti-Redness Elixir
I am unfortunately someone prone to blotchy red, whitehead infested cheeks, and with sensitive skin to boot, it’s really hard to find a product that strikes a balance between effective AND gentle enough to not hurt my skin in other ways. But with this Acne Proofing Gel Cleanser by Neutrogena, I totally found it. With the intention to clear breakouts and help defend against new ones while making skin more acne resistant, they had a big job to fill. I’ve been using it for about 5 months now, and I have nothing bad to say. I’ll wake up with red, angry cheeks in the morning, and lather this crisp, COOL (especially decadent on hot summer mornings) gel cleanser on my face, which as you start to caress into your pores just foams ever so gently, much to my adoration. Rinse with cold water and bam, you’re done. I love seeing my skin look so rejuvenated and the redness gone as I wipe my face clean. Nothing beats feeling good about yourself and starting your day right. Even at its $9.49 price tag, I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s such an easy step in my routine, with so many benefits. I’ll never get over how cool it feels on your face and how frothy it gets by the time you’re done, all the while calming my face if its angry red tendencies. If you want a supportive and understanding friend in your routine, add this one.

Saved my skin-so can you! Simplify your routine✨
Saved my skin-so can you! Simplify your routine✨
Over a year ago, I went through the craziest breakout and I didn’t know what caused it (stress). Im the type of person who gets one pimple during that time of the month and to painful acne was super surprising. So I took it upon myself to do a lot of research as I didn’t have a dermatologist then. What I found most effective was simplifying my routine and sticking to the bare essentials to let my skin BREATHE. Slathering on expensive products and a million different products wasn’t doing anything for my skin (or my wallet). I got the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin for my AM/PM cleanser, found a simple toner, and a reliable moisturizer. At night, I would apply Curology - Curology formula and this was a GAME CHANGER. My formula is: Clindamycin 1% Azelaic acid 8% Tretinoin 0.018% I went through a bad purge phase (patience is key) but after, my skin had never been better. This is my skin now, one year later. Let me tell you, this is my skin on a BAD day. No filter! Let me know if you want a review on Curology and my thoughts and tips :) P.S. excuse the grainy “before” photo - this was the only one I could find 😁
