Create my own summer lip color 🍒+🍑
Today I want to share a really beautiful combination that I love to do recently. Since there are more sunny days this month, I prefer using shiny lip glosses. And the Water Stain collection of Yves Saint Laurent has been my favorite lip products recently because they are water-enriched, lightweight, fresh, and non-sticky at all. The price is $37, like the regular prices of YSL lip products, and recently Sephora has its VIP sales for 20% off, which is a perfect time to give it a try. Let’s start from the base color #610, named nude underwater, which is a brown nutmeg nude. I usually do two layers, because the color is quite sheer but still buildable. I want to have a peach nude color underneath, so the other color will blend naturally. Then I will use #613 on top. This is called Cascade Bordeaux, which is a deep burgundy shade if I do several layers, and a bright strawberry red if I only do one layer. That is the reason I love this collection because they are sheer and buildable, and you can choose how many colors you want depending on seasons, weathers or moods. In this combination, I will only put #613 on the center of my lower lip and blend it with #610 and repeat it again to have a juicy cherry lip color. Then I will use #610 again only on the edge of my lips and blend it inside to have a soft transition. Comparing with only using #610, I feel this combination can make my lips look more pump, and the color is perfect for summer. Since we have to stay at home, it’s time to do some creativity. I do have fun using my old lip colors to create some new ones, and I think it is a good way to save money too. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain
My 3 Favourite Lipsticks
Lipsticks come in a huge variety, whether it be shades or textures, and I always have trouble choosing a favourite. However, as of lately, I’ve been loving and reaching towards these three lipsticks the most: Yves Saint Laurent Vernis À Lèvres Water Stain, Yves Saint Laurent Vernis A Levres Vinyl Cream Stain, and Sephora Collection Color Lip Last Lipstick. YSL Water Stain #610: This has been my favourite lipstick to use as the weather turns colder, and the leaves turns redder. This shade resembles a toned down, milk tea colour that matches perfectly with the autumn mood, so I have been using it daily. I love the texture of this lipstick because it is moisturizing, which has been helping my lips cope with the drying weather. What’s more surprising is that it is not heavy and sticky on the lips at all, unlike most glossy type lipsticks. Like its name, its finish is glossy but not overly tacky, just like your lips have been coated by a thin layer of water. However, due to its lightweight texture, it is not very long lasting and the colour transfers easily onto other objects. YSL Vinyl Cream Stain #416: I also love to use this product recently because of its sophisticated, rotten tomato shade that really compliments my skin tone (neutral). I tend to use it for more special occasions where I want to go for a more dramatic look. Similar to the Water Stain, it also gives a glossy finish, which I adore lately because it makes the lips look plump and healthy. However, it does feel heavier on the lips, but it is the most long lasting out of the three lipsticks because it stains the lips. I love the application because it glides on easily, blending smoothly onto the lips. Both YSL lipsticks smell like sweet candy, which is definitely a plus for me. Sephora Collection Color Lip Last Lipstick: Last but not least, this lipstick also made it into my top 3 list because I was pleasantly surprised by its texture and colour payoff. It feels like butter and glides right onto the lips. Also, it has amazing colour payoff. Normally, I only need to dab a little onto the lips, and one swipe is enough to deepen the colour. I love to use this when I want matte lips for a daily look, because of its beautiful dried rose shade, not to mention it also smells like sweet candy, which lightens my mood whenever I use it!
My lipstick 101
Lipstick is something that you never get enough! I mean, each of them has different shades, texture, and you can use them to create countless looks matching with your makeup. How can we say no! ◇ YSL Vernis A Levres Water Satin #613 Love this one!! I have recommended this to many friends and I introduce it to them as “like a cup of strawberry milkshake”. Though it seems to have a dark shade that’s more burgundy than red, it still makes your lip looks soft and tender. The credit should give to its texture. This new formula designed by YSL is super sheer that it's almost unobservable if you only apply one layer. By saying so I don't mean that this lipstick is difficult to get pigmented, instead you can easily build up the color as much as you want depends on how many layers you wanna reapply (and it won't get cakey and sticky!) Really think this product change my mind for lipstick satin. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain ◇ PAT MCGRATH LABS BlitzTrance Lipstick #072 Flesh Fatale PAT receives popularity because of its glittering eyeshadows, and they have developed it further to lipstick! I often prefer dark and vivid color when purchasing lipstick, this one is the only light-shade lipstick I own, and it's perfect to wear when you have no makeup on. Yes, this is a lipstick that can lighten up your dull skin and make your lip shine with its gold glitters. However, one disadvantage of it is that the glitters are big and gritty, and it does stay after the color wears off. PAT McGRATH LABS - BlitzTrance Lipstick ◇ MAC Amplified Lipstick #108 Dubonnet The oxblood color! Such a flattering shade which is a deep, cool-toned red and I love to match it with my heavy makeup to harmonize the overall look. It is perfect if you wanna create a charming atmosphere. Although I got warm-tone complexion, this color still looks beautiful and will make your skin brighter. It also has long-lasting power that stays after eating and drinking. MAC - Amplified Lipstick ◇ LANCOME Lacquer Liquid Lipstick #274 This one is not that famous like the other 3, but it's still my pick above all in winter! Instead of using vivid and high-saturation colors, I would use 274 because I prefer my winter looks to be low-key and implicit. Apply 274 independently, you will get a beige almond color, especially suitable for warm undertones. I personally love to apply this liquid lipstick as a final coat on top of other colors. If some colour is too bright and highly saturated, combined with 274 will hold down the overall effect and you are able to DIY your own ideal effect! LANCÔME - L'absolu Lacquer Gloss
Dupe, Worth it? L.O.V versus ARMANI lipstick
This review is going to talk about two liquid lipstick products at different prices, which are Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick from ARMANI, and Fatal Muse Liquid Matte Lipstick from L.O.V. Let’s see if the drug store brand can be a dupe and beat high-end brand. ARMANI Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick NO.405 - € 36 This is the best seller of ARMANI, and I have no doubt about that because after I use it, I really love it. The texture is so smooth, so creamy, and it goes on like a gloss but dries matte, a velvety matte, which is so gorgeous. This lip colour is highly pigmented, so it’s full coverage and can deliver a rich-looking finish. Its iconic formula is giving lips ultimate comfort, so it doesn’t feel heavy or dry on my lips. And no sticky at all. The colour can be transferred while eating or drinking, but I think it’s acceptable. The other thing I would like to mention is that it’s easy to apply with the applicator and shape a beautiful lip contour. L.O.V Fatal Muse Liquid Matte Lipstick NO.700 - € 8.99 This is a brand that comes from Germany and it’s also a sub-brand of Catrice. You can buy it from its official website or drug store. I have seen people talked about this brand online and said it is a dupe of ARMANI liquid lipstick, so I got one to have a try, but to be honest, I don’t think this is a substitute for ARMANI. The colour is truly beautiful, and the pigmentation is intense. The velvety matte finish is also very nice. The texture goes smooth and well-blended, but it feels heavier on my lips than ARMANI does. It feels that the colour just sitting on my lips rather than coating them, so it’s easily transferred as well. And I don’ know why but the liquid just spilt over and makes the tube mouth always messy. The applicator is not good either. There is always too much liquid on it, and the shape of the applicator makes me always apply the colour out of my lip line. So I would say L.O.V is still a decent liquid lipstick product at its price (just € 8.99), but it cannot beat ARMANI liquid lipstick. Although ARMANI liquid lipstick has a 4 times higher price than L.O.V, it is worth it.

CURRENT FAVOURITE LIP-GLOSSES
Hey everyone! Today I am going to be sharing with you my favourite lip-glosses✨ Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Candy Queen You may know that I am not someone who can handle intense plumping lip glosses – for example I can struggle with the Too Faced Lip Injection. The Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker range does tingle the lips and plump ever so slightly, but it’s nothing crazy and it doesn’t hurt. I love this pale pink shade ‘Candy Queen’ to wear over lip sticks or alone on minimal makeup days. These are so affordable too so it’s an amazing option to try. I also have the shade ‘Plums Up’ which is a beautiful colour too. Too Faced Rich & Dazzling High Shine Sparkling Lip Gloss in ‘Raisin The Roof’ I am absolutely obsessed with this & it couldn’t not be mentioned in my favourite lip-glosses post. It is so beautiful as it has lots of glitters throughout it that actually show up really well on the lips. This is the most ‘glittery’ gloss I have tried and it is such a nice option if you do want that glitzy look. It isn’t sticky compared to other formulas. I love the shade ‘Raisin The Roof’ as it is a bit of a deeper berry tone which has more pigment than some other glosses. It looks nice on the top of lipstick but my favourite way to wear this is on its own. I love the applicator on this gloss – it is flat & picks up a lot of product so you don’t have to keep dipping into the tube. Myleene Klass Lip Glaze in Mirror Mirror I won a set of these lip glazes in a giveaway a bit ago and this is the only shade I ever wore, and I have since got rid of the other shades. I love this one as it a nude shade that is almost clear on the lips with a little bit of shimmer. It looks really wet and glossy on the lips though, so if that’s the look I am wanting I reach for this! I love this on top of pretty much any lipstick too. The only down side is that the doe foot applicator is quite small so you do have to keep dipping back into the tube as it doesn’t collect a lot of product each time. Bare Minerals Moxie Plumping Lipgloss in Rebel Now, I wouldn’t call this a ‘plumping’ gloss as I don’t notice a difference in my lips however I do love this gloss for other reasons! This gloss is stunning on its own or with a lip liner – it is thick (yet not sticky) & pigmented and stays on the lips better than other glosses, so it’s definitely one of my favourite lip-glosses. It has no shimmer or glitter at all (unlike all others on the list) which makes it look super smooth and glossy. I wouldn’t recommend this if you do want that plumped affect but other than that I adore it. Bare Minerals Moxie Plumping Lipgloss in Dreamer Another shade from Bare Minerals but I just had to mention both as they are both some of my favourite lip-glosses! This one is more of a golden peachy nude shade that every collection needs! Unlike ‘Rebel’ this one has shimmer throughout it and I love pairing this with a nude lip colour. Just like ‘Rebel’ it isn’t really plumping in my opinion. Again, it is thick, pigmented and not too sticky. I feel that this shade would work for so many people. That’s it for my 5 favourite lip-glosses! What do you think? Are you a gloss kind of person or do you prefer matte?
Long lasting challenge!
The tarte sea color splash lipstick in island life is a long wearing pigment, rich lipstick that’s offered in an array of creamy shades! Color Splash Lipstick offers intense pigment with buttery-smooth conditioners for moisture-rich, long-lasting, matte color that won’t bleed. It’s formulated with antioxidant-rich marine plant extracts to help make lips look firmer, fuller, and smoother. This lipstick is offered in 24 shades so you can switch up your lip color as often as you change your mood! I absolutely love using this lipstick, it is the perfect nude shade and gives you a very comfortable wear! It is so creamy and doesn’t dry out my lips! This product wears fantastic throughout the day! I had this lipstick on for over 12 hours and I eat with it on, I worked most of the day, and I worked out, and through all of that it only lost a little bit of tint! But that is amazing, I definitely expected it to lose some tint considering I eat with it on, which is amazing! My skin is very dry and this didn’t make my lips any more dry, and my skin tone is light medium! tarte - Sea Color Splash Lipstick

Some of my favorite lipsticks ☺️
I swatched almost all the colors I own. One of the hardest things for me has been finding lipstick shades I like. I’m very fair skinned with mostly neutral undertones. Maybe leaning a bit cooler at times. So here are the colors: #1 NYX - Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée. I love this gloss. It is so smooth and not sticky. It smells good and I feel like it hydrated and slightly plumps which is nice. #2 NYX - Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Tea & Cookies. This color is not as flattering on me but the lipstick is nice. Doesn’t last as long as some other lipsticks I’ve used but it’s pretty. #3 stila - Stay All Day Sheer Liquid Lipstick in Patina. It is one of my absolute faves! The color lasts forever and it’s soooo flattering. I’ve seen it on a bunch of different skin tones as well and I think it looks good on everyone. #4 FENTY BEAUTY - Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in Spanked. I like the way it feels. It’s non drying. The color is different than I expected but it still looks good. #5 Beauty Bakerie - Matte Lip Whip in Versailles. This was my biggest disappointment color wise. I was hoping for something more like the Patina shade and it is very brown on me unfortunately. As for the lipstick itself, it lasts by far the longest of the others. I want to try another few colors soon. (I’ve also tried Rosé Posé and it was also much darker than I expected.) #6 & #8 Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Crush(6) and Like(8). I also wear jam most days. It’s lovely. It’s very sheer but buildable. I like to use these to achieve a more natural look. #7 smashbox - Be Legendary Cream Lipstick in Fig. I love this dark wine-ish color. It is very hydrating and last awhile

A favourite from YSL!
I’m a sucker for a good lipstick/lip gloss hybrid. It’s super moisturizing and not super opaque. One of my favourites has to be YSL’s volupté tint-in-balm! The shade I have here is #1. These lipsticks smell like mangoes oh my gosh 😍🥭 (talk about yummy). They are super duper moisturizing, which is one of the reasons why I love them so much. The colour is a sheer tint of colour, but it is super buildable which is great - being able to control the intensity of the colour! Oh ya, and the texture 😍 glides onto your lips like butter 🥰 I highly recommend this product to all you girlies out there! You will not be disappointed by this product. In my opinion, I believe it is very much worth the price! Plus, who can resist this beautiful packaging 😍😍🤩 YVES SAINT LAURENT - Volupté Tint-in-Balm Lipstick
