My go-to products for vacation-Orange makeup
I know during this time we all have to stay at home and no traveling, but I think we can also give ourselves some great makeup looks and take us back to the wonderful time we had. So today I want to share my go-to makeup that I always do when I go for a vacation. Because I hate winter and cold weathers, so I usually go to the warm places like island nations and beaches. The orange makeup will look beautiful under the sunshine and also a good choice for photoshoots. The first thing I want to mention is the foundation that I can’t live without, the All Hours Longwear Natural Matte Foundation from YSL in shade B20, $54 for 0.84oz/25ml. Even though I have dry skin, this long-wear foundation will not set in my smiling lines or pores, and it is definitely a full-coverage foundation that will cover up to 80%-90% of my pores, acne marks and dark circles. Besides, a little bit of this goes a long way, and a small pump is enough for me, so don’t waste! About the shades, I feel like this collection can be a little lighter than the other foundations of YSL, and B20 is a little bit lighter than my skin tone, so I recommend trying it in the store before purchasing. YVES SAINT LAURENT - All Hours Longwear Natural Matte Foundation The next step is bronzer and blush, and they are both from Colourpop. I always put them in a pan so I can carry them during traveling. I use the Private Party bronzer and the So Retrograde blush. The bronzer will make my skin look warmer without being too orange or deep. And this shimmery blush is a burnt orange with gold pearl inside, so I can save the highlighter. The only thing I have to mention is that the blush is very pigment, so I only dip once and tap my brush before putting it on my face. COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush For eye palette, I mentioned before that I always take the Whatever palette from Colourpop with me when I go for vacations, and I use the colors I marked in the picture to create a very easy but glam eye look. Finally, to match the topic, I will use a matte lipstick named Marrakesh from Mac Cosmetics, which is an orange-brown shade and has been very popular since it launched. And I feel like it will not dry my lips even it is a matte formula, which is nice because I will stay outside for a long time and don’t want to see my lips peeling. MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick

BB Cream or Foundation? What’s the Difference?
I created this “highlight” to showcase main points about bb cream and foundation for you guys to see if you’re trying to decide or are in the market for either or as a beginner! The second photo is a swatch of the Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream in shade 23 (I really like this one ❤️). Now here are a couple extra pointers: “Asian” or “Eastern” formulation of BB cream and Foundation can be very different from “American” or “Western” formulations. Essentially it does come down to preference. However, there are a couple important things you see more of when comparing them. 1. “Asian” or “Eastern” BB Creams BB Creams at one point we’re going super strong and nowadays, it seems like they don’t get as much recognition as they did before in the Western market. BB creams from these regions focus a lot on creating a radiant/second skin finish with many skincare ingredients in the formula. Companies really focus on that “glow from within” concept. There isn’t much pigment in the formulation that would cause an INSTANT full coverage(although these types of formulations do exist out there). Instead, many bb creams(at least the OG ones I’ve tried) oxidize slightly to better fit your skintone. If you have difficulty finding that second skin finish/match for your skintone in your foundations, try exploring BB Creams. For those who have deep skin tones, it may be difficult to find a shade for you since the market focuses on mostly pale, light, and medium light tones. History of BB creams: The reason why a lot of BB Creams focus on skincare and a light/medium to buildable full coverage is because it was initially developed in Germany. The person who initially created BB Creams wanted something to protect the skin/provide coverage after laser treatments. 2. “Western” Foundation: For those of you who consider yourself to live in a “Western-like” area, you may have encountered foundation somewhere. Western formulations focus a lot on pigment/coverage & not much on skincare(based on my experience of exploring Western BB creams/foundations) The good part is that we are starting to really notice more diversity in shades that BB creams in Asia don’t necessarily cover, so it’s great for a multitude of complexions. Foundation focuses on evening out skin tones to create a smooth base to possibly layer on other products. Right now, it seems like there is a shift happening. Many companies are now starting to release/perfect formulations that provide a more your-skin-but-better coverage. BB creams can be a “put-on-and-go” type of product that could heal your skin depending on the issue you have. There can be a lot more prep work involved to get foundation looking like skin, whereas I could leave the house with BB cream on and if it did “melt” off my skin from improper prepping, it wasn’t noticeable at all. Again, there’s a lot more to it but this is a generic representation and I hope it provided some clarity for you guys on your search for “the one”! 😆😃
Hello everyone! My name is Laura and I’m a beauty manager at Nordstrom! I had no background in cosmetics before I moved down into my role (Nov 2019) so I don’t have nearly as amount of information as my coworkers do on products but as I dip my toes in trying new products- I wanted to share my honest opinion of them all. I have SUPER sensitive skin... to the point where it can be really frustrating in finding products that suit my skin. I’m lucky that I don’t break out from using new products, but it typically burns the top layer of my skin and makes me extremely uncomfortable and leaves me in a lot of pain. If you are curious about new products, new launches and hopefully extra info- follow along! If you also struggle with sensitive dry skin, holla at your girl because I’m always looking for new products! ❤️❤️

Make-Up Self-Care (featuring a berry nice gloss)
UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation T1N. I think it might be time to replace this foundation soon. It will be buying a new bottle of the same product though. I love the product and the coverage and it is easy to apply with my fingers. #Viseart - Petit Fours[products]#[FourStars] in Lilas. So easy to apply and so wonderfully creamy. It photographs well and layered easily. It could be more pigmented but I was more than happy with this introduction to the brand. Glad I asked for it for Christmas. COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush On The Horizon. Very Pigmented and a little difficult to blend. It had a scent that took a good hour to dissipate. I will use it but I will not buy any more Colourpop blushes. HOURGLASS - Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara (GWP) clumpy and hard to apply and just kind of a pain. Not a fan. Also seemed to be perfumed though the scent disappeared quickly. BOBBI BROWN - Crushed Liquid Lipstick in Bitter Sweet. This formula is comfortable. The application dispensers just the right amount of product and gives good control when applying. The shine is just right and the color is really dimensional and gorgeous. I bought this for my birthday and it is a struggle not to buy all of them.
How I got my look
I love colourpop. I’m their number one fan (haha) So for my eyes I used the COLOURPOP - Going Coconuts pallet. I used the orange brown for base then went in with the chocolate brow and on the lid used the shiny beige. Eyeliner COLOURPOP - BFF Liquid Liner I love this eyeliner. I have a tremor so I need the tip to be firm not flexible so I can guide it easier. Their liner is great for that. Lashes COLOURPOP - Falsies Faux Mink Lashes Mami easy to apply. Again I have a tremor so the band is the perfect size for me. If the band is too small I just can’t put the lash on. Bronzer COLOURPOP - Coconut Collection Pressed Powder Bronzer I used the darker more chocolate bronzer in the collection not the orange brown. Blush COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush very pigmented a little goes a long way LipCOLOURPOP - Villains X Colourpop Crème Lux Lipstick I love the vividness of the colour! Foundation MAYBELLINE - Dream Radiant Liquid Foundation it’s medium to full coverage just needs to be built up. Highlighter SOL BODY - SOL Shimmer Highlighting Powder And that is my look

BoxyCharm: December Base Box ✨💖
Hey Cherie Fam! 🍒 I finally received my December base box from Boxycharm today. Yes, it’s the 29th. I am cutting them some slack though because I know that it was the holidays and they were probably pretty backed up. For those who don’t know, Boxycharm is a beauty subscription service and you get 5 full sized products for $25/month. You have the option to upgrade to premium which you receive 6-7 items. The premium box is $35/month. I canceled my base box months ago and only subscribed to premium. However, my premium boxes lately have been pretty disappointing. I found the items in the base box more appealing the last few months so I decided to cancel and re-subscribe to base. They were having a deal that if you resubscribe, you get a complimentary Breakfast in Bed palette by Beauty Bakerie or the Ciate London Editor palette. I went with Beauty Bakerie because I love the brand. I was pretty impressed with my box this month. This is the first time that I’m excited about ALL the products I received. I’m happy that I got all makeup items because I’m very picky with skin care. In this box, I received 6 full sized items including the complimentary Beauty Bakerie palette. • Breakfast in Bed Palette by Beauty Bakery - $38.00 • Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette - $27.00 •Glamnetic Baby Girl Lashes and Black Magnetic Liner - $63.00 • Tarte Maneater Mascara - $23.00 • MAC Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in shade Chili - $19.00 • Get lit Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow by Eloise Beauty in the shade Pure Gold - $26.00 •TOTAL VALUE: $196.00 I am most excited about the magnetic lashes because I have never tried them before and I love falsies! I am also excited about the Huda palette. Are you subscribed to any monthly beauty subscription boxes? If so which service is your favorite? Xoxo, Francesca 💋
My Top 5 for 2020 ✌🏻
✨ PRODUCT — YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask — I’ve talked about this product a bunch of times and done a full review so it’s obvious I love it but it has a dreamy texture and is so hydrating. I use it as my nighttime moisturiser and wake up to beautiful glowing skin. ✨ TREND — Multi masking — Learning to tackle different skin concerns with different products in the same masking session has been game changing for my skin, no more irritation to the more sensitive areas of my skin and clear, glowy skin 👏🏻 ✨ LOOK — @cheriecreators Christmas makeup collab — Although this is the most recent look I’ve posted it’s also my fav because I wouldn’t usually choose green but love the way it looks with the gold and I love a good red lip, for this look I was using one of my favs MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo. ✨ CHERIE CREATOR — I love so many creators but especially love seeing all the different makeup looks@Jillianb1 creates, she’s much braver than me with her colour choices and rocks looks I’d never try. She’s also a super sweet and supportive person too. ✨ SOMETHING I LEARNED — So much about skincare that I didn’t know before including how to read ingredients lists and which ingredients are beneficial for my skin.
My go to natural look
I wanted to put a little make up on because today was feeling pretty gloomy. I used my LANCÔME - Skin Feels Good Hydrating Skin Tint for a dewy glow. Then a little of COLOURPOP - Colourpop Blush Stix to give me a little more color. Finish with mascara and some Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick and I’m feeling a little more put together.

SWIPE to see the swatches for the Glow kit and the liquid lipsticks from my favorite brand anastasia beverly hills. ABH Dream Glow Kit- From the swatches, shades are too similar to each other. I don’t think there are much differences. The shades are a little too bright. I think it would be better as eyeshadows, or put a very light layer on top of a more subtle highlighter. I like to layer my highlighers. . ABH Blush Trio- Haven’t used this yet but it looks very pretty! . ABH liquid lipsticks- This is the reason why I like ABH. Their liquid lipsticks are pretty good. They are long lasting and go on smoothly. Now, there are some colors that aren’t as good as others. Overall, they are pretty nice liquid lipsticks with a lot of shades to choose from. Shades: 💛Heathers (Brownish Oxblood)- Love this for the holiday. It is dark but classy :) - 💛Sad Girl- I don’t think they have this color on ABH website anymore. They might now. But Amazon has it. This is a very dark wine, purpleish with a touch of glitters shade. It is very pretty if you are into dark shades. - 💛Dolce (muted coral)- This is the only coral shade that looks good on me. I think this is the third tube that I got. It is very pretty when I want to go neutral.

The Perfect Nude Pink!
I’m a sucker for a nude pink and I had been meaning to try the bareMinerals - Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick so I ordered one in the color Swag (which is a pretty cringy name tbh). Despite the name, the shade is a really pretty muted pink and inspired me to do my makeup for the first time in forever. The application was pretty smooth and it dried down to a very comfortable matte. I can see this being a very wearable everyday lipstick, and the shade is super flattering, especially if you’re close to my complexion. So, if you’re looking for a new liquid lipstick, I highly recommend!
bareMinerals-Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick
Two of my favorite Too Faced products.
These lipsticks rekindled my love for bold lips. I’m not a big fan of matte liquid lipsticks anymore, but these get a pass. The colors are gorgeous and bright (Swipe for swatches!) and look great with my complexion. The packaging is just as cute and the lipstick itself smells like gingerbread! These are more comfortable to wear than a lot of liquid lipsticks I’ve tried and I’ve never had them flake or ball up like some are prone to doing. They provide an opaque layer of color with one swipe. While they do dry down, I have one tiny gripe— They’re not the most transfer proof. If you press a napkin to your lips, you’ll definitely take a bit of the color with you, and you’ll probably need to touch up after eating or drinking. As much as I love these lipsticks, I’ll dock them one star each because it’s not entirely transfer proof and I don’t think ANY lipstick is worth $21. That being said, they’re a 4 out of 5 for me, but I’m still very happy to have them in my collection. Best Liquid Lipsticks EVER 🥵
If you’re looking for the perfect matte liquid lipstick that’ll stay on all day and not leave your lips a dry flakey mess then look no further!! These too faced melted matte lipsticks are to die for. I’m posting a review for this Christmas red shade but I have over 6 other shades and they’re all just as good! These liquid lipsticks stay on all day once applied they dry to a very matte finish but they don’t dry out your lips and sink into the lines like I’ve noticed most other ones do. They’re all very pigmented and a little goes a very long way. I own so many of these and have over 15 liquid lipsticks in my collection but I always go for these when I have events and let me tell you I can eat a whole meal with these and they don’t budge. They also have such a variety in colors and tend to also come out with seasonal colors which are all beautiful and to die for. This shade right here is also my go to red it’s a very deep Christmas red as I like to call it. I’d definitely recommend these to everybody and think the $21 are sooo worth it.

Hot colours in Mac ( matte and sheer pk)💓
Although MAC is keeping produce limited edition, the basic products of lipsticks are all black packaging. So for this post, I will show two classic hot lipsticks of MAC for real color under the natural light . Ruby woo VS dare you MAC - Lustre Lipstick Left side is ruby woo. And the right side is dare you. Same price, $18.5. I’ll be honest. I don’t know why so many online photos of ruby woo is so pretty and perfect. I can’t paint it anyway. They are so so so dry! Unless I use the primer for lips firstly, it has 70% hope to get a strawberry sweet color. Otherwise, I can’t even wipe it on my lips. but…in the other words, dry has an advantage, which features a long-lasting and buildable finish. The other one is “dare you”. You don’t need to worry about the texture. The texture is hydrating and even feels a layer of water on your lips. No matter what light you are in, you can feel the shining on your lips. This color is dark red cherry. Under the sunshine, it shines like red diamond. Wearing all black with a baseball cap can match the lipsticks very well. It features long-lasting, hydrating formula! And helps your lips show wider and fuller. Dancing queen on the night!
