Eyeshadows with a different texture—creamy or liquid?
Speaking of eyeshadows, powder is the most popular formula because these eyeshadows are usually easy to blend, and packed in a palette, really easy to carry. But in recent years, there are many different kinds of formulas released. I am a glitter person, so I really love the Super Shock shadows and Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadows. Today I picked two with pink and purple undertone and blue glitters inside to show the differences between them. Let’s start with the cheaper one. The super shock shadow is a special formula from Colourpop, and there are several textures, such as matte, glitter and metallic. They are creamy powder with a unique bouncy-like texture. This color is called Party of Five, which is the 5th-anniversary limited shadow, but it is so popular that the brand kept it. It’s a warm burgundy shade with blue glitters inside. The pigmentation is great, and I think the best tool for this formula is your finger because it’s so creamy, and brushes can’t grab the color. And the undertone of this shadow is not too light, so I usually use it all over my eyelids and deepen my outer corners with a darker matte shade, and the blue glitters really pop out. The only weakness is that the longer you wear it, there are less glitters. Since it’s only $6 and can’t be used up in several years, I am still a big fan of this collection. For the liquid eyeshadows, I think Stila is one of the first several brands to release this kind of product. The first products basically only have big glitters inside, and then they launched several duo-chrome colors, and Sea Siren is one of them. This is a bright lavender shade with bright blue pearl glitters. It is lightweight and dries quickly with no fallout. The applicator is also soft and easy to use, and I always use my finger to blend the edges after applying on my lids. For me, this color is too light to wear along, so I always use it on the center of my eyes and as a highlighter on the tip of my nose. Comparing these two, the Colourpop one is more affordable and can be used alone, and the Stila one is shinier and lasting longer. I can’t give up either of them, and I think you can make decisions based on your budget.

ten minute makeup! ⏰
hello everyone! today i am showing you this ten minute makeup look! its not too natural, but its natural enough to be able to wear anywhere☺️ lts also very easy to do! dont forget to follow and cheer for more😇 i personally have very oily and acne prone skin, and also very pale skin, so that can make it pretty hard to find a good foundation. my main concern is coverage and resistance to oil. my main goal with all of my makeup looks though is to highlight my eyes, as they are my favorite part of my face😄 so, i started with an oil-control primer, COVERGIRL - TruBlend Face Primer . they make different types of this primer, and i bought the mattifying one. one way to save time in your makeup rountine is to get a fast drying primer like this one! after that, i use a pretty decent amount of my all time favorite foundation, Juvia's PLACE - I am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation in the shade alexandria. this foundation is amazing! it has a semi matte, velvet finish, and is very high coverage. it lasts all day and comes in 40 different shades! next, i go in with my e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer in the shade light peach. i put this under my eyes, and on my lid. i dont usually have to conceal any zits, as my foundation does that for me! i set all of this with my e.l.f. - Perfect Finish HD Powder , which helps control oil throughout the day. i then move onto the eyes. for this look i used a single shade from the COLOURPOP - COLOURPOP X Mulan Eyeshadow Palette called “imperial” above my crease and under the eye. i topped off my lid with a COLOURPOP - Colourpop Super Shock Shadow called “frog” to add dimension to my eyes. after that, i finished off with mascara. because my eyelashes are one of my favorite features, i never, NEVER, forget mascara. it makes my eyes pop! for this i use my favorite mascara, L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara and i apply a few coats. i finished with a new favorite, COLOURPOP - Crème Lux Lipstick Hua Mulan . this lipstick is AMAZING! it has a lot of pigment, and its not too orange or too brown. its also not too dark but not too light. you know what i mean?😂 not only is the color very nice, but its extremely creamy. it feels moisturizing, not drying, even though its semi-matte. it also lasts for a long time too! 👄 and thats it!! this took me about ten minutes, and basically i just focused on making myself presentable😂lemme know your quick makeup rountine in the comments! #CheriePartner
My Makeup Journey - 1st satisfying full glam
I've been on a makeup journey for the past few months and I've been peaking in the last 2 weeks. I've become obsessed watching JuicyJas videos and buying lots of makeup! Some makeup was given to me from friends' ipsy bags, bought as Sephora with help from an associate (very beginning of journey) and a bulk was bought from Ulta, Walmart and Target based on reviews by JuicyJas and my own curiosity. This is my first really good, satisfying full glam look. I've had huge trouble with acne from one particular break out induced by stress about a month ago which really kickstarted my makeup experimentation. I used to wear barely anything but this breakout was super distracting and embarrassing as I am a scab picker and cannot leave things alone. My face has big red spots from picked scabs and dark scars. I have been doing this all my life and know they will go away and fade eventually. The skin finally almost healed. This whole look took about two hours which included my skin care routine, letting moisturizers and primers set, and washing sponges and cleaning brushes. As you can see I used a huge amount of products. They worked well to cover my acne and it was my first time doing a pink eyeshadow look. I loved it!! I only use a small amount of NARS foundation because it's pretty heavy which I don't like much but I do love adding a small amount over my troubled areas over my Maybelline foundation. I also used e.l.f. eyeliner tape to do the wing for the first time. It worked so well! I have been doing winged eyeliner for years and I'm still not very good at it so I was so happy to find out this product existed. I can do winged eyeliner but it takes much longer to get it just right without the tape. I'm excited for when I better at doing makeup and have less acne to cover up so I don't have to spend so much time getting ready but still get the same results. I am a very expressive person and would love to do full glam everyday! I love coordinating my eyes and lips with my outfits. I went to the movies with this look and wore a pastel pink beanie and pastel pink sneakers to match it. My next project is figuring out how to do my eyebrows!

my everyday makeup ❀ ✧
i’m here to share my everyday makeup! i’ve stuck to this routine for a while and really love it. super simple but still makes me look put together for day to day activities and zoom calls lol. Too Faced - Natural Face Palette i got this for christmas a couple years ago and put it away. it’s never been used, but when i was going through my makeup i stumbled upon it and tried it for a couple days. i fell in love. my taste in makeup has been changing and i love more pinky blushes and don’t really need a super bright highlighter. i mix pink wink and pink sand on my cheeks and then after my eyeliner i use starlight for my inner corner highlight and my nose highlight. so beautiful and they pair so well. if u have a red undertone to your skin it makes you look so cute!!! highly recommend! also sometimes if i feel like it i put the bronzer shades on my eyelids for a bit of color e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel in a recent ulta order i decided to pick this up because i’ve been trying to find my perfect tinted eyebrow gel, and i think i’ve found it! i love the way it holds my brows and the color is perfect. i believe it has fibers in it and it makes my brows look so fluffy! wet n wild - MegaLast Breakup-Proof Black Liquid Eyeliner this is the best drugstore eyeliner i’ve ever tried. almost every eyeliner i try smudges bc i yawn a lot throughout the day. it always ends up under my eyes creating the raccoon eye effect. but not this one. it stays put, the color is super rich, and it’s easy to apply once you get the hang of it as it is a brush tip. NYX - Vinyl Liquid Liner this eyeliner is really hard for me to apply eyeliner bc i’m not used to the brush yet. but i use it to put little dots under my eyes. i think it’s a simple way to add some ✨spice✨ to a simple makeup look 😊 wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara i love this mascara and especially the price. it stays put and keeps my lashes curled. the formula is pretty light which i really like bc it doesn’t weigh down my lashes. i forgot to add this product, but the last thing i do is put a little bit of stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in grace. i apply a little tiny bit on my finger and then gently pat it onto my eye. so beauty and again, a simple way to take a simple look to the next level. it’s not too shimmery and subtle if you put a little bit. i love it💗
The best glitter you need for music festival makeup✨✨
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to put as much glitter as possible on my face. I thought that was the most beautiful makeup I could draw. Until now, glitter is also an important element in our makeup routine. Let me preface this by saying that chunky glitter is best used in moderation, whether you're applying it to your face, body, or hair. Festival-wise, you can't go wrong with a touch of embellishment on the lids or a shimmering slick back. So here are some shimmer products I think you won't miss for your festival makeup design! stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Maximum-impact metallic eyes are having a moment—and are inherently festival-ready. Stila's dazzling range of metallic and jewel tone Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadows make application a cinch and can hang out in your cross-body bag all day long. You need to know it’s going to stay put. Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow is so intense it leaves a chrome-like finish on lids (or your forehead, cheeks, or even boobs if you’re getting really crazy) in the first swipe. And it won’t budge or fade, even if you manage to stay until the last act of the night. Apply one coat on the lids as desired, then use your finger in a tapping motion to blend out the edges Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, I bought this eyeshadow on sephora, which cost me $24. FENTY BEAUTY - Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil This is one of my best highlight palettes. Fenty beauty, an obsession with makeup started early on for Rihanna after discovering her mum’s lipstick for the first time. In detailed, The formula is kind of creamy but more putty and when you put it on they feel like a powder. It’s very sheer but it gives an intense glow. The best way to apply it is with your finger, it meshes beautifully with the skin. As for the lasting power, it could last on my face at least 6 hours without fading. Also, the cost of this palette on Sephora is $36.
Spotlight Color of Stila Liquid Eyeshadow
If you are addicted to beauty, you will never miss out the Stila Liquid Eye Shadows. It has been popular for a while. That’s why I got a group of them lol. This eye shadow glitter will definitely improve your eye look. It’s absolutely one of the most essential element of creating a fantastic look for night life. I got differently colors that could fit in various eye look. But, before I tried them all at the same time, I never noticed that the texture of the same series products would works so differently. See the 2nd picture, some of shades works so well, the color and the sparkles mixed evenly, like ‘Kitten Karma’, which is my favorite. I like Monarch very well too. It’s easy to apply and the color is so good. I’m not very into ‘Dimond Dusk’ and Plum on. Dimond Dusk sounds very cool and sparkle, but the glitter looks so dull, and the formula is kind dry that could not be applied evenly. Plum on looks like a lipstick? The color is too dark. And I don’t see any glitters or sparkles into this one. How to use it: Rather than apply it directly on my eye lids, I will blend it over my fingers then tab it evenly on my my eye lid. Need to notice, directly use the brushes will leave too much glitters on the eye lids, which is hard to clean up. Or, I will scrape some glitters leave on the top of the tube, then tap into eye lid.

So how gorgeous are these three highlighters from beautyescape?! The eyeshadows are beautiful but the highlighters have me shooketh to my very core! Okay so zeeee deets... the highlighters are $12 each and the eyeshadows are $6.50. In Bloom has a neutral pink base with the prettiest blue to lavender shift. It starts out sheer so that you get just a hint of bluish lavender iridescence or you can build it to full opacity. Blossom has a translucent base with a strong baby pink shift. Because it doesn't have a white base, it won't wash out deeper complexions. Last but not least and my personal favorite, Spring Showers! Spring Showers has a warm pearl toned base with a silvery flash in the sunlight. This is a 'blind innocent bystanders, see me from space' type highlighter so naturally I love it! Also the three colors compliment each other perfectly. I've been experimenting with mixing them together in different combinations all the time. And of course you could use them all over the lid or as inner corner highlights as well.

Sweeter than candy 🍭 (w/swatches)
If you like pink shadows you’ll love this set! I love Colourpop’s super shock shadows, I think the formula is one of the best in today’s oversaturated beauty market. These still stand out to me. The cushiony texture is so fascinating in my opinion. I think they’re perfect if you’re a makeup newbie (like me!) since they’re so easy to apply, they have many many options to choose from, last all day for me and don’t crease on my super hooded eyes. This set from the My Bitty x Colourpop collaboration is my most recent favorite quad, the colors are super pretty and they wear just like any other super shock shadow I own. You just need to be careful to close the lid tightly to avoid the product drying out but other than that, these are golden!! COLOURPOP - Bittipop foursome
5 stars? I think not.
Tarte is a great brand- but this palette did NOT pass the test. *NOTE*: This came in a collection package, so it is not sold. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Swatches (from top to bottom): tree topper, never naughty, copper, vanilla crème, blush: winter break, highlight/eyeshadow: rosy glow My thoughts: This palette has NO pigment. The only pigmented thing is the blush, which is a very nice, dark rose shade. The mattes have no pigment and when you layer it on you look like you slept in eyeshadow. The glitters/highlight have more pigment, which is nice but still not enough. The only reasons this has 3 stars is that it has a nice smell, the blush is nice, and the glitters/highlight have ok pigment.
How to get super glittery eyes in 1 easy step?
As the glittery, shimmery, shiny, metallic eyeshadows are very trendy at the moment, a lot of beauty bloggers and YouTubers are raving about these stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow They’re liquid glitter eyeshadows, in a bottle with a flat foam applicator. The formula is water-based, very lightweight on the eyelids, which dry fast and last a long time with delicate shimmers. I got 3 shades: Embellish, Dollish, and Stylish. They are all buildable and suitable for an everyday look. 🌠Stylish: This is a translucent eyeshadow with golden glitters and shimmers. 🌠Embellish: This is my favourite one out of the three shades. It's pink-purple with silver shimmers. 🌠Dollish: You just know by the name that it's a delicate pink. It's a richer version of those rose eyeshadows with more golden shimmers. Basically, I use them in this way: Step1: apply my powder eyeshadows and do my usual makeup, Step2: then apply a thin layer of Stila liquid eyeshadow directly with the applicator on the eyelid, Step3: before the product becomes dry, use fingertip and tap to blend the edges and set the product. Step4: leave my eyelid closed for about 1 minute to allow the product to dry and avoid the transfer of glitter on the upper eyelid.
