Combine the two??

I received the... #dermedicine - weightless face moisturizer [products]# in an Ipsy box a while back. From the start, I was never a fan of this product, however I kept using it anyway. As part of my skincare routine, I used this several occasions before continuing on to preparing for my makeup and it always made a mess of things. It would leave a white film and then my primer just moved it around, needless to say it just made doing my makeup a not so fun experience. I recently purchased... CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+
and remembered why I used to love it! When I was either a preteen or teen, my stepmother bought me my first skincare set which was by Clinique and had the bar soap, the toner and this moisturizer. Over the years, I had actually moved on and tried different products and forgotten all about that first set. Well I suddenly remembered it and decided to purchase again. For what ever reason and not paying attention to what I had done, I put a small amount of each in my hands and started mixing the two together when I snapped back to reality and decided why not. I applied to combined products and then continued on to my primer and makeup. This was a game changer! Now I can finish off this terrible spf moisturizer and not feel rushed to replace it with something better.

The GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water is so much better over the original, it’s a lot less drying and sensitizing. great for dry & sensitive skin. I wish the bottles actually came in a bigger size because I feel like I go through these so quickly 😭 I like to shake my micellar water before squeezing onto a cotton pad, it actually gets a little more soapy and saves you more product that way. In all, I like this product and makes taking off makeup much easier without adding any sensitivity to my skin. Would buy again. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face did brighten and make my skin look more radiant, gently removed makeup, and helped get up some surface level plugs!! I wish this was thicker or more viscous so that it could further penetrate the skin and draw out more impurities. Though I do like this product and it does what the label says it does, I would prefer to buy a thicker oil cleanser. I really like a lot of Clinique’s Moisturizers, but I usually don’t want to pay full price, so i really like going for the minis that this brand has available. TheCLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is usually my go to under makeup, on cold days or on the go. it has really helped with barrier repair & is dry combo & sensitive skin friendly!!🧖🏾‍♀️ it slips on easy, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feeling. no parabens, sulfates, denatured alcohol or fragrance. 🌱Will definitely stock up on some more soon 🧴

Finally creating an actual skincare routine
I’m somewhat new to skincare. For the longest time I had the clearest skin but after college I started to get hormonal acne and some skin texture issues. Morning: Cleanser- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin. I just got it a few days ago and so far I like it! Prior to this I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser (which I still keep in my shower for after working out-this cleans my skin well but isn’t anything crazy special) Next: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I really like this!! It’s absorbs quick and isn’t drying, often these types of products make my skin a little itchy but not this one! (I still use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator but I do this every other day in the evening, it makes my skin very sensitive but it does work well) Spot Treatment: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I’ve been using this for 2 weeks and I love it!! I notice a difference in any new breakouts, it stops them right in their tracks. Feels great too and soaks in nicely. Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - trusty product that I will always use. I’m now adding in bareMinerals - Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serumto help with my skin appearance and fine lines (~2 weeks of use and so far I like it, it’s hydrating and soaks into the skin. There’s a light scent that I don’t mind either) Moisturizer: CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+- using for 2 weeks and I really it! It’s gel based so it’s absorbs right into the skin. I don’t like heavy moisturizers because they make me oily, so this one is great! Keeps my skin happy even in the colder weather! Nighttime: Same cleanser as morning Same clarifying lotion/exfoliate as mentioned in morning, and same spot treatment Moisturizer: NEW unreleased bareMinerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Face Cream. I got a full size product for free during a featured event, I believe this will retail for around $62 and be released in the new year. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and my skin seems to be liking it! It’s a thicker cream so I prefer it only at night. There is a somewhat strong perfume-like scent which I don’t normally mind, but if I use my PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator prior to the cream, it does make my skin a little tingly/itchy. I like that it’s a plant based “retinol” and is less harsh on the skin. Hoping this one works out! Other products: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane- Bought this prior to getting the bareMinerals Phyto-Retinol Cream. I haven’t tried it yet so no review. Not sure where to add this to my routine if/when I decide to use it. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum- I got this before my breakouts but haven’t used it since, might try to add

The Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Wat
The Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Water Gel moisturizer is my go to for normal-to-oily skin! It’s not heavy and absorbs quickly. If you have skin on the drier side it’s definitely not going to be enough though, and would go with the gel-cream version instead.

Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion
Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion
CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ This lotion claims to soften, smooth, improve, and leave skin glowing. It has a thin consistency that makes it emollient and easily spread on the skin. I really enjoy this moisturizer because it’s just a super basic moisturizer and I know won’t break me out. I can add this on top of retinol, BHAs, Vitamin C etc, and I know it won’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts. It also plays well with makeup, so I enjoy using it mainly in the morning. I’ve gone through so many of these because I really do enjoy them, and I would likely repurchase again once I’m completely out of moisturizer! I’d recommend this for all skin types unless you’re super oily, then I’d recommend something a bit thinner.

Best Cream for Combo&Oily Skin
Best Cream for Combo&Oily Skin
I have combo to oily skin type, so I am not a fan of heavy facial creams because of the greasy and uncomfortable feeling. But this one - Clinique Moisture Surge - really saves me from greasy feelings! It is lightweight, easy to absorb and hydrating enough. It is just PERFECT for me! Slide the pic and check the video. You can see how fast it is for this cream to be fully absorbed into my skin. Just a few seconds! It feels nothing but fresh after applying it. Can't love it more! 💕

Hydro Boost- Worth the Hype
Hydro Boost- Worth the Hype
Everyone has been raving about the Hydro Boost line and I thought it was all hype. I was even initially annoyed by the price of this as I thought it was too expensive for a drugstore/Neutrogena product. This runs between $15-$20 for a 1.7oz container. However, Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel is that girl!!! I love all things Hyaluronic Acid and this is no exception. This is water based but heavy at the same time, and application literally feels like you’re splashing your face with water - goes on smooth and your skin feels very moisturized immediately. When using, I use this as the last step in my routine, but only at night because it is a little too rich for day time use and I find that it gives my face too much of a slippery feel to apply makeup over it. I’m so much of a product junkie that I don’t necessarily use all of the same products every day because I’m constantly trying new things, so I bought this on a whim because of the good reviews, but this is a keeper and I will be purchasing again soon (because as you can see, I’m about out). I would recommend for dry skin as an everyday moisturizer or and would recommend for the oily/combo girls as a nighttime moisturizer, unless you are not wearing makeup then it’s great in the day as well.

Want Soft Skin? Try Clinique Moisture Surge
Want Soft Skin? Try Clinique Moisture Surge
Okay, this is my holy grail facial moisturizer that I love using. The consistency is so gel and water-like that it just sinks into the skin right away and does not leave a greasy feeling (which I hate). It’s very light and not super heavy which I personally prefer. My favorite thing is that it works for my sensitive skin, and does not feel harsh or irritating at all. It has a very light fresh scent, nothing overbearing. It leaves a very pleasant cooling feeling on the face and is the perfect item for my dry skin, especially in the Winter time. You can even use it as a face mask if you wanted to and take it off after five minutes. I tend to use it at night, or even before I put on my makeup and it helps in creating a smooth base for me to work with. Love this! CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

Lifesaver in Arizona ☀️
Lifesaver in Arizona ☀️
I’m studying in Arizona and when I arrived here two years ago, I didn’t realize how much my skin would be suffering from the continuous exposure to the sun. One year ago I noticed that to protect my skin efficiently I needed something more powerful than my 30 SPF and I went to the store to find a good daily moisturizer. That’s when I (fortunately) found out Neutrogena - Healthy Defense, Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 50 . It actually was not easy to find a moisturizer with 50 SPF - which I would say it’s mandatory to use here in Arizona, both during the winter and the summer - and I have to say I’m very happy that I found this one, since it constantly protects and moisturizer my skin. However, I would recommend using it more than once a day if the exposure to the sun is constant. ☀️
