Skincare Sunday!

I have combo skin that’s recovering from breakouts. This is the second deluxe size sample I’ve used up, I’ve gathered my thoughts on it! . Key Ingredients: Greek Yoghurt (delivers instant soothing, cooling, sensation with a super dose of pre and probiotics to nourish skin), Microbiome Re-balancing Technology (balances your skin’s invisible microbiome to protect and relieve signs of stressed skin), and Lactic Acid (a natural AHA that gently dissolved dead skin cells for a natural glow). . Scent: Strong scent, but can’t place it. Maybe like a strong yogurt smell?? Not sure, doesn’t smell like fragrance though . Consistency/Texture: Thick mask . Price: $49 for 3.38 oz / 100 mL . Experience: The directions say to leave it on 10-15 minutes, so I go with 15 so I can relax longer lol. Whenever I go back to the sink to wash it off, I notice that most of the product is gone and has soaked into my skin. I’m glad the full size packaging of this is in a jar because these squeeze tubes were hard to get product out of. Whenever I take the mask off, my face feels nourished, hydrated, and calmed. It definitely provides a cooling sensation the whole time you wear the mask as well. . Repurchase/Recommend: If you are sensitive to fragrance, I wouldn’t recommend this because there is a very strong scent. It isn’t fragranced I don’t think, but there is a strong scent that lasts the whole time you wear the mask and a little after washing it off. I do really enjoy this mask, but I can’t justify spending that much right now on a wash off mask. It it goes on major sale, then I’d consider getting it. Especially since these deluxe size samples only lasted me 2-3 uses. I’m also not sure about the microbiome claims and how well they are supported by scientific evidence. I’ll have to look further into it, but so little is none about this area of research with skincare and the specific species, so I’m not sure if this is a gimmick or real! Did enjoy the mask though, just can’t imagine spending almost $50 for something that’s on your face for less than 15 minutes.

Scent: Cucumber Consistency/Texture: Gel Price: $9.99 for 3 X 1.7 oz mask each (Rose, Gold, and Cucumber) and mask applicator Experience: I love using this mask after I exfoliate (use about 2 times a week) because it’s so cooling and deep cleansing. It soothes my skin, but also does well to draw out impurities and oils. It also hydrates my skin without breaking it out. It’s easy to remove and doesn’t leave any residue behind. Repurchase/Recommend: Yes, it’s very budget-friendly and have enjoyed all the products included in this set! It’s soothing and great for an anytime mask. This one is a must buy for me because it actually detoxifies and hydrates the skin, without stripping. . SEPHORA COLLECTION - Mask Stick Key Ingredients: Watermelon (nourishes skin) Scent: Watermelon Consistency/Texture: Thin Clay Mask Price: $8 for 0.88 oz Experience: The stick form can be a little difficult to use in some areas, like around the nose and hairline. It also doesn’t seem hygienic because the bacteria can just harbor on there and you’re rubbing it directly on your face. It is very easy to apply, one of my main cons with clay masks is how difficult and thick they are to remove. This one is thin and easily wipes off with a washcloth. My skin is more nourished and isn’t stripped from this clay mask. I use this 1-2 times a week, depending how dry my skin is. Repurchase/Recommend: Yes, especially when they are on sale. It’s a must for me because it’s quick and easy to use and see results! I’m excited to try others from this line. . SEPHORA COLLECTION - Gel Mask Hydrating & Quenching Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid (hydrates), Sea Fennel Extract (unifies and and illuminates complexion and restores radiance), and Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, and Copper Gluconate Complex (protect against free radicals; leaves skin refreshed, more toned, and less tired-looking). Scent: Very Fragranced, like Hollister Consistency/Texture: Gel Mask Price: $10 for 1 oz OR $20 for 2 oz Experience: I do like it for whenever my skin is looking a little bleh, but it’s nothing special. It is very fragranced and the directions tell you to remove it with a cotton ball and not rinse it off. I don’t feel comfortable leaving something so fragrant on my face, plus it does feel heavy so I think it’d break me out. Maybe that’s why I haven’t seen much results, but it’s a fun mask to grab when it’s on sale. Not worth full price. I only use this once a week because it’s so fragranced and heavy, if I use it more I’ll break out. Repurchase/Recommend: It was a decent mask, but I’d only purchase it again if it’s on sale (the smaller size is currently $4 when you can catch it in stock). Fragrance is very high on the list and can easily be smelled, even after removal, so would not recommend this to those with sensitive skin.

GLAMGLOW - Berryglow  Probiotic Recovery Face Mask I received this mask in my BoxyCharm this month and was really excited because I loved the last Mask I tried (charcoal). I’m still not really sure how I feel about this one. I do love how it made my skin feel afterwards, but at the same time I wasn’t thrilled having it on my face. It burned slightly and made my eyes water which was uncomfortable to say the least. The texture is really nice and so is the smell. Application is smooth, not messy. My skin felt cool and smooth afterwards. With this mask you can tissue off and rub in the excess, or you can rinse off and pat dry. I opted to tissue off. Overall I chose to give the product 3/5 stars. It lost 2 stars for the slight burning sensation on my skin and making my eyes water. The 3 stars are for how nice my skin felt after, the texture and the packaging! Did this make anyone else’s skin/eyes uncomfortable? Tell me below! 👇

The first time I tried this product was when it came with a bunch of other glam glow samples. This one really stuck out to me because it seem to clear up any pimples that I had I would leave it on overnight. I want time put this all over my face because I bought the large size and I tried it out as a big face mask but my face was red and irritated for the rest of the night. This product is better for a spot treatment just on a little pimple that you want to go away. I have sensitive skin so it might not irritate your skin. Overall a good product and I love the brand and I would recommend this to anybody Who has problematic areas and wants to settle down the area. You might need to use the spot treatment a few times a week. I like to put it on a little pimple that I get not so much acne but just a little pimple.
