Four Favourite Dermalogica Products that Work Well Together

Just recently I have found a new brand of skin products that I love. Dermalogica: it’s not a new brand, it's been around since 1986. The reason we haven’t heard of it up until now is that it was only sold in salons.   Dermalogica Daily Microfoliantdermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator
This is a gentle exfoliating powder, made from rice and has rice enzymes that literally eat the dead skin away. The product becomes active when mixed with a little water; it helps to balance uneven skin tone and creates a perfect base for my skin smoothing cream.   You only need a half teaspoon amount each morning, to see great results do this every morning for ten days and you’ll really notice the difference.   Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Creamdermalogica - Skin Smoothing Cream Moisturizer
The brand calls this the next generation moisturizer because of something they are calling Active Hyramesh Technology. But what it really does is to infuse the skin with Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidants to protect the skin from the stresses of real life. And it’s not just hyped it actually works.   The great thing about Dermalogica is they spent years working out what people really need; loads of money on science, and then they used it in salons. Only then they released the products on the open market, everything was made to work really quickly. I love it!   Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oildermalogica - Phyto Replenish Oil
This oil really is amazing, so light and not at all greasy. With so many uses it’s a booster to your normal cream or product. Made to tackle aging and the signs of aging caused by dehydration; full of antioxidants like sunflower and rice bran oil, with rosemary extract to give a lovely sheen.   To give you an example of how I use this product, I add a couple of drops to the daily microfoliant if my skin is extra dehydrated and a couple of drops to the skin smoothing cream, again if my skin needs a boost.   You can also use the oil at night, with your moisturizer and it won’t block your pores. I  love anything that has a dual-use which saves money but still does a great job.   Dermalogica Skinperfect Primerdermalogica - Skinperfect Primer SPF 30
This is a truly wonderful product and it has a broad spectrum SPF sunscreen to help ward off sun damage. This product is like a filter for your skin, blurs fine lines, and makes you look totally camera-ready.   This is a dual-purpose product. Use it as a primer or use it alone instead of a foundation - it’s that good.   So here’s my routine - I wake up, wash my face with a little warm water, put half a teaspoon of daily microfoliant in the palm of my hand, make it into a paste. I put it onto my skin and begin to work in a circular motion, remembering to work away towards my ears to encourage lymphatic drainage.   I work upwards on my neck, not dragging the skin down, and then rinse. Rinse a couple of times to make sure all exfoliant has been removed.   Then I pat my skin dry and put a blob of skin smoothing cream in the palm of my hand and work the cream upwards, remembering to massage into the neck and chest area, decolletage, again towards the ears. Let the cream sink in, no stickiness at all just lovely skin.   I finish with the skinperfect primer, used as makeup. The primer glides on naturally, such a lovely texture, and stays on all day. This routine is great for days when I want an all-natural look and to make that look work I have to have perfectly prepared skin.   I bought all four products on ulta.com - got a great deal by buying them together. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy!

A sad empty
A Sad Empty .. . . I have had this @dermalogicacanada daily Microfoliant powder wash for over a year now. I used this religiously every other day in my morning skincare. It lasted me almost a year even with regular use. One of my few posts on this page last year featured this product. . . Surprisingly I haven’t talked about this product much on my page, even tho its been such an staple. The reason being its been sitting in my shower since forever and I never take a shot honestly. I use this mostly in shower. . . Here is how my experience been with this product ❤️ . . Its a very gentle physical exfoliating powder.. And it is the only or few physical exfoliating powder that I will ever use. It can be used daily. I used this in mornings instead of my other cleansers. . It comes in a white powdery texture which foams a bit once you rub it into wet hands and the small granules in powder works gently on skin to remove any dead skin. . I used this even when my skin was going through active acne breakouts and it never irritated my skin whatsoever. . It leaves a nice glow after each wash. One more thing that I love about this powder is that it never strip my skin, even with my dry skin i never felt the dry and tight skin after washing my face. . . Having said that I believe it is an expensive product, $82CAD for 74g of product. But again the amount of time it last it makes it all worth it. . . Have you tried this product? How have your experience been?

Conjunction Confusion
conjunction noun the action or an instance of two or more events or things occurring at the same point in time or space Hello!!! Thank you so so much for viewing my post 😊 Anyway, as I mentioned in my welcome post (go read it) :) I have acne. It’s getting more severe everyday. However, I think I am ready for the journey as I have made an apparatus of products that claim to fight acne. As you may or may not know, acne treatments are not one sided. Some may not work well with others, some may dry your skin out and some might not work at all. What I’m looking for, is information as to how I should rebuild my skincare regimen in the healthiest way possible. Here are the products I have used Cleansers: CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin This cleanser really helped my skin heal after using some products that maybe weren’t very smart I just incorporated CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser I’ve only used this for two weeks but it hasn’t done very much for me. Maybe helped some blackheads. However, I’m not sure if I can use it with differin. So, to go easy on my skin I’m now using FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser this cleanser is watery and disrupted my acne once Treatments: DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I really want this product to be the star of my routine dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator this product is nice and gentle, makes my skin feel very soft. It does contain Salicylic Acid though which I heard compromises Differin. Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Both of these serums dried my skin out and caused irritation Moisturizers: CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin this didn’t do much for me, not hydrating , not clarifying CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ I use this product when I feel very dry. My skin drinks it up! SPF: SKINCEUTICALS - Physical UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 30 Thanks so much for reading!! What I’m looking for is suggestions on what I can maybe git rid of? What I should use strictly? How can I keep my skin barrier healthy? Also please read part 2 of this post on my page!! Thanks so much! 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Face Oils, This or that?!🍯✨
✨I personally love face oils! My skin is very dry & a good oil is always a great pick me up, especially in the winter! I wanted to test these oils out to decide which one I like better. Here are some facts & information I came across 🥰 my final opinion is at the end! ✨Key Ingredients; Farmacy Honey Grail; •Buckwheat Honey - 🌾🍯 full of antioxidants & this special honey soothes & hydrates. •sea buckthorn oil - 🌊 full of antioxidants, omega fatty acids, amino acids, & vitamins, this oil moisturizer & supports healthy skin. •five flower orchid oil blend - 🌸🌺🌷🌻 a blend of nutrient rich flower oils full of omega fatty acids to nurture & hydrate the skin. Dermalogica Phyto-Replenish oil; •Cameilla & Tamanu Oil - 🌸✨ help restore the skins moisture barrier. •orchid flower & chia seed oil - 💐 to smooth visible lines & lock in moisture. •Sunflower & rosemary - 🌻🌿 to promote glowy skin, & shield against free radicals damage. ✨what do they claim to do? •Farmacy Honey Grail; is a fast absorbing, noncomedogenic face oil that delivers intense hydration & helps to strengthen the skins moisture barrier while reducing wrinkles. It is for all skin types & tones. •Dermalogica Phyto-Replenish; a feather-light treatment oil that works in 3 phases, to strengthen, hydrate & shield for a healthy complexion. It is for normal to dry skin, all skin tones. ✨Texture/Consistency? •Farmacy Honey Grail; is a very thick, sticky consistency but it melts into your skin & you can’t feel it. •Dermalogica Phyto-Replenish; is very light & liquid consistency, feels like oil on your face. ✨My thoughts? This or that? I really enjoyed using both of these oils the past couple months! I honestly enjoyed the Farmacy Honey Grail more, it made my skin purr hydrated & glowy. I couldn’t feel it at all on my skin, and it didn’t make me breakout at all! I used it at night as the last step in my night time routine, after moisturizer. It smells like honey & candy! I love the scent & the small bottle I got is so cute, I really would love the large bottle!! I’m obsessed with this oil! I do like the Phyto-Replenish as well, just don’t love it! It felt like an oil on my face, but it did make my skin feel nice & moisturized. It smells nice like lavender, and it’s got a cool dropper bottle you hold upside down. It is more expensive though, so I would for sure purchase Honey grail over Phyto-Replenish. ✨Price Vs. Size? Farmacy Honey Grail oil; it is $48.00 for 1oz Dermalogica Phyto-Replenish oil; it is $76 for 1oz I prefer the Farmacy oil over the Dermalogica, especially since it’s $30 cheaper & it worked better for me! But whatever works for you is great! 😊 What will you try?! FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil OR dermalogica - Phyto Replenish Oil let me know!

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil
{What does it claim to do?} It is a lightweight treatment oil that replenishes your skins barrier and hydrated without clogging pores. {Texture/Consistency?} In my opinion it is a medium weight oil (meaning I don’t think it’s super light but it isn’t heavy) it is very runny and slick! {My thoughts?} I used this way more over the summer and I loved it! I purchased in the spring to help my skins barrier rebuild and I found my skin only could handle it every other night or it would be too heavy for it. It didn’t break me out but made my skin very oily. Or I used it to completely replace my moisturizer. It helped hydrate my skin & help with redness day to day. I probably wouldn’t repurchase because it’s $74 for 1 oz, though it lasted me almost a year using every other night! I feel like there are cheaper moisturizers or oils that work well or better for my personal skin! I know that Labeautyologist on Twitter & Instagram loves this oil & recommends it to people with dry skin or hormonal breakouts! So it’s a well known/recommended product and might work better for you! 💖 dermalogica - Phyto Replenish Oil

Use shea butter and herbal extracts to nourish and strengthen skin!
For those who really care about the ingredients, a long list of it can always be fear when picking the right product. But actually, many of these products with long ingredient list just contains some easy-to-pronounce and natural ingredients like extracts from herbs, sometimes oil from plants, or just simple and common ones like shea butter and vitamins. I have tried some for my combo skin which can be super dry especially when season changes and these two products work so good for me.   Ren Skincare lotion REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Flash Hydro-Boost Instant Plumping Emulsion As I said, season change is annoying and I have to pause the routine and stopping products in my hand. The only thing I worry about is how to keep moisture in the skin and not irritate it when it is sensitive. My friend gives me this cute tube of Ren Skincare lotion in medium-size and says this works perfectly for her and her face doesn’t go crazy at all.   I do some research and figure out what is inside this Ren lotion and it contains a lot of ingredients but most of them are oils from plants like rice bran, safflower, and cranberry seed because their formal names are so long. What catches my eyes is a large amount of shea butter in it and as I know, it is a great moisturizing ingredient and does not stress skin. This lotion has a very smooth texture and a light, non-artificial herbal scent which is relaxing.   The Dermalogica smoothing cream dermalogica - Skin Smoothing Cream Moisturizer The Dermalogica smoothing cream is what I found in the Meet Dermalogica Kit and this is so soft and comfy and not thick or oily at all, even after the Ren lotion. This cream contains a lot of extracts from flowers, seeds, and plants to provide a wide range of nutrients to fortify our skin. The reason why I combine these two products is because of the shea butter and herbal extracts. These ingredients can nourish skin and protect it in a natural way to the maximum.    Now I use these two products morning and night, with a daily sunscreen. They are running out and since they work for me, I definitely will shop for some larger size. These are worthy to try when you have the same concern as me.

Tatcha and Dermalogica: Worth It?
Yes, both of these two brands are well-known by beauty lovers, but I still have a very complicated feeling on their products, and it haunts me all the time, especially talking about the following two moisturizers I have used. Tatcha The Water Cream I tried this in store for the first time, and the milky white cream turned into water (probably where the name comes from) immediately on my hand and I have to say I was astonished by this magical moment and brought it home. This oil-free, vegan moisturizer is formulated with Japanese wild rose and Japanese leopard lily to control excess oil, tighten pores, and smooth skin texture. It feels dewy and lightweight and fast-absorbing, with light rosy scent. I thought this would be my holy grail, but I was totally wrong. I tried this for just one night and my face got really oily in just one hour. I thought that was its “moisturizing “effect. When I woke up the next morning, my face is still greasy especially on T-zone, which is super rare for me though I have oily skin. This didn’t get better with time. None of the moisturizers I have used did something useless like this. I am really disappointed since this water cream is not cheap at all! Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream I was shopping online and saw this so I bought a “meet Dermalogica” kit with this product in it. This cream is super moisturizing but not heavy on face at all. The strange thing is that this cream has a little oil in it but doesn’t make my face oilier and doesn’t make my acne worse. My face even got brighter which is surprising cause I did not expect that. I used it for half a month, and I can feel my skin getting smoother every time I apply it. I have to say this antioxidant-infused daily moisturizer is a pretty amazing product even for oily skin. The price of these has a significant difference of around 30 bucks and that could totally make a place for your next serum! I will never buy that water cream anymore for that effect and price and in fact, I really would like to try the normal size of Dermalogica skin smoothing cream next time if I still haven’t found my fav. Why bother when there is a better and much cheaper dupe, right?

CoQ-10 Toner
INDIE LEE-CoQ-10 Toner
107oneoseven, one of my favori
107oneoseven, one of my favorite KBeauty brands 107 is a mid-range line aimed at the 20-30s market that provides nourishing products, containing their signature vinegar, to support the skin's health. Currently, the line includes an Oil-in-Gel cleanser, the repackaged Rose Vinegar Water, and an Illuminating Moisturizer. These can be used in conjunction with their higher-end CoreFlex range as well. I love the minimal packaging -- no one does understated elegance like 107! I've loved the Rose Vinegar Water for several months before this recent repackaging -- I use it as a first essence and it provides the perfect hydrating watery first layer after cleansing. In fact, I didn't realize how hydrating it was until I switched to something else, and quickly came back to it. The Oil in Gel Cleanser is super interesting. It feels just like a cleansing oil, except it's in gel form so it's less runny and messy. It feels very mild and removes makeup well. It does leave a bit of a moisturizing film on my face -- dry skin types may love this. I used the Illuminating Moisturizer for the first time today. It's a light-feeling daily moisturizer with just a hint of dewiness; really not glittery or obvious at all, which is a plus for me! The sheet masks are from the affordable range "107 Botanics". I tried this at the event and it's a refreshing light watery essence that hydrates delightfully and smells SO GOOD. I'm excited to try them out properly and will update when I do!

A mini Tatcha love post. I've
A mini Tatcha love post. I've been reading vickytsai Pure Skin book and learning so much. This brand has such wonderful ingredients and I have yet to come across something they make that doesn't suit me (well. except the price). The Dewy Skin Mist - Smells light and airy. Refreshes my skin for a quick pick me up in the desert heat. Water Cream - Lovely light moisturizer I throw on in the morning or before bed. It contains rose and lily which help brighten and smooth the skin without irritation. Deep Cleanse - Gel-like texture with small fruit bits to help exfoliate, turns into a foam as you wash it off. Leaves my skin feeling soft and clear, but not stripped. Silk Canvas - Has actual silk powder in the formula to help skin look smooth and blurred. This is my HG primer, and one I reach for regularly. Violet-C Radiance Mask - has two types of Vit C to help brighten and balance skin. It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling soft and renewed after use. It's a wonderfully luxurious mask to use!

Tatcha, I’m in love! 💜
Tatcha, I’m in love! 💜
I’d like to share about Tatcha, a brand I love. After a decade of working for large corporations, Victoria Tsai yearned for simplicity and authenticity in her life. Suffering from acute dermatitis and developing a keen awareness of the importance of ingredients on the skin, she began traveling East in search of a more evolved, holistic approach to beauty. On a trip to Kyoto, she discovered a world of pure beauty, craftsmanship and heritage. An encounter with a modern-day geisha changed her life. Victoria learned classical Japanese beauty secrets passed down by generations that took a different approach to skincare - that less is more. This skin care philosophy and time-tested ingredients were captured in an ancient text widely considered to be the oldest beauty book written in Japan, and perhaps the first such work of its kind. Within its three delicate, thread-bound volumes are seven chapters devoted to beauty and elegance in both appearance and spirit. This special guide informs and inspires the Tatcha collection. Wouldn’t you love an opportunity to see that book!? 🙋‍♀️ Tatcha works with scientists in Japan and the U.S., to create each formula from scratch, advancing time-honored beauty practices for fast-paced, modern life. The foundation is Hadasei-3™, a trinity of anti-aging superfoods born from the Japanese diet, and the basis for the original geisha beauty rituals: green tea, rice and algae. Every ingredient is carefully selected and minimally manipulated to be gentle and safe with maximum effectiveness. Tatcha is also about giving back! Tatcha's philanthropic model funds girls' education in partnership with Room to Read with every skincare purchase, helping to nurture the beautiful minds of incredible girls in Asia and Africa. In 2017, Tatcha celebrated the funding of one million days of school, which goes far beyond textbooks and classrooms—each day includes life skills coaching, mentorship, and the tools needed to enable a brighter future. Purity Promise: We adhere to Japan’s official safety and purity standard, one of the highest in the world. Using natural ingredients from renowned provenances, we apply food science principles to transform time-tested beauty into clean formulas. Every formula starts in the fields and seas of Japan, where we harvest nutrient-dense green tea, rice bran, and algae, the superfoods credited with Japanese longevity. Always looking to what is naturally good for the body to unlock what is extraordinarily good for the skin, our scientists use a natural process of double fermentation to release their bioavailable actives. Everyone knows that dewy skin is IN right now. I’ve tried to many luminous sprays but they usually make me way too oily or they will literally ruin my makeup! The tatcha mist I fell in LOVE with after the first use. It didn’t make me super oily and my makeup still stayed put all day! It also smells AMAZING so that’s a plus 🤩 TATCHA - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

I found some down time to shoo
I found some down time to shoot a few of my favorite things lately. at the top of my list are these two by dermalogica - and i can’t rave enough. the pre-cleanse is a plant-based cleansing oil that flawlessly breaks down any waterproof makeup, sunscreen, EVERYTHING that you may have on your skin. this is the first cleansing oil i’ve really tried and i’m absolutely obsessed. this is gentle on the skin but removes absolutely everything, no matter how much makeup i might have on. i can’t rave enough! after i use the pre-cleanse, i move on to the special cleansing gel. super gentle and effective, this removes anything extra on my skin and leaves it so soft and nourished. im so impressed by dermalogica! thank you for sending these my way! also have been reaching for my drbarbarasturm calming + HA serums every single day. how cute is this mini?! and lastly, of course, youthtothepeople adaptogen cream - my saving grace as it gets colder!
