How to Tackle Oily Skin Without Stressing About It
My skin is oily and prone to acne. This has been a problem for the last five years. My skin has caused me all sorts of anxiety, and problems with my self-esteem. Finally, after spending hundreds of dollars and loads of time trying to sort this problem out, I have found a solution. What’s great is that it won’t cost the earth. These products don’t look like they should go together, but they work so well as a team you must give it a try. They’re my secret weapon against troubled skin. Body Shop Seaweed Cleanser I started with this cleanser and I have used it now for 3 years. It is soap- and oil-free, so no dryness. The cleanser cleans and refreshes my skin without leaving it tight and dry and, this is the best bit, the mineral-rich seaweed which makes this product so good is from Roaring Water Bay in Ireland. You can actually see it working! Sometimes when I get up in the morning my skin looks puffy and a little flushed; especially after a late night or just because I’m stressed at work. So I love a product that acts immediately to calm things right down. Let me introduce Clarins Gel Cooling Cream Great for all skin types, but especially good for combination and oily skin due to its lightweight texture and the icy cooling effect, it reduces redness and increases hydration. The thing you probably didn’t realize, because I didn’t until my facialist told me, is that oily skin goes hand in hand with dehydration; particularly just under the top layer of your skin. So keeping it hydrated is also important. That fact is so weird, you would think that the one thing oily skin doesn’t need is hydration in the form of more oi,l but you would be wrong. So this is the next step. Dior Capture Youth Matte Maximizer Age-Delay Serum Recommended to me for combination to oily skin, this cream is made to stop excess oil production, close pores, and put right uneven texture. Specially made from lactic acid from sugar cane, pink clay, and zinc gluconate. This is important to know because with these magic ingredients you will be able to even out your skin tone and totally control all signs of shine. This brilliant serum makes a perfect base for your makeup. It’s taken me a long time to get over my early anxiety with my skin, but now the results mean my skin is the one thing I don’t have to worry about.

Best for Young Adults? Here Is My Thoughts...
Are you wondering what type of skincare product you should use as a young adult? I tried Dior's Capture Youth series a while ago. So today, I would like to share a little bit of my thoughts. It is recommended for 20 to 25-year-olds that are turning into young adults. After cleansing, use the toner. Then mix the serum in the facial cream before applying it. 🌱🌱🌱 1. Matte Maximizer - It helps adjust the skin's water-oil balance for people with combination skin. It's matte, leaves your skin shine-free with a velvety complexion and minimizes the appearance of your pores. It's also great for oily skin. 2. Lift Sculptor - It has a thin consistency and when applied, it's moisturizing and grease-free, improving skin elasticity. 3. Plump Filler - It has a gel-like texture that is absorbed quickly by the skin without leaving your face sticky. It creates a natural look and helps to hydrate and plump skin. 4. Glow Booster - It targets dull skin and is suitable as a pre-makeup skincare product. It feels light on the face and is very moisturizing. 5. Redness Soother - It's mainly for repairing and soothing skin. It has a refreshing texture and is very moisturizing. 6. Age-Delay Progressive Peeling Cream - It has a moist texture and thick consistency. You can apply it before going to bed but it's a little too oily for morning use. I have combination-dry skin. When I stay up late and when I have my period, I usually to mix the pink and green serums. If your skin is dry from too much air conditioning, you can use the white moisturizing serum. The yellow serum can be used after using a skin tightening beauty device. You can also use it if you have any photo sessions the next day.

Combination Skin in summer/winter must have!🤩🤩🤩
For mixed skin, skincare products need to change with the seasons. My skin tends to get oily in the summer, but it gets very dry in the winter, so my skincare products also vary according to my skin condition. I like this Set of Hydra Quench Moisturizing Cream from Clarins very much. There are two kinds of this product. One is of cream texture,CLARINS - Hydra-Essentiel Rich Cream which is more moisturizing and suitable for dry skin or mixed skin in winter. One is made of a gel texture, CLARINS - Hydra-Essentiel Cream Gelwhich is fresher, more suitable for oily skin or mixed skin in summer. What I like most is its fragrance, which is very reassuring. Clarins has always been a skincare brand whose main ingredient is safe, and even pregnant women can use it. For this, I am also very relieved of its products. After a long-term period of using, my skin condition is getting more and more stable. The price is not very expensive, I bought a set in the duty-free shop at the airport, the price of the set is less than 60 dollars. I usually use two bottles of alternately, which can be used for a long period, about half a year. This set of facial creams doesn't have anything else to offer, it's pure moisturizing. However, moisturizing is an important and easily overlooked part of your daily skincare routine. Simple moisturizers can't be ignored, so a bottle of soothing moisturizer is important for all seasons. Keeping your skin hydrated means maintaining a good balance of oil and water, protecting your skin's barrier, and your skin will be in better condition. It's important to choose the right moisturizer for you at the right time.
What I learned about CERAVE after 15 years 😱
It took me 15 years of buying moisturizers, serums and oils at every price point, and going through a whole rainbow 🌈 of skin reactions, to understand that when it comes to skin care less is WAY👏🏻MORE👏🏻. CERAVE is the best-kept secret of the skincare industry and here’s why! 🤫 CERAVE products actually work even if not all of them work for everybody in the same way. I can’t use their SPF day moisturizer and I couldn’t use this moisturizer on my face for the longest time either until I figured out my cleanser was causing all of the break outs. When you find the CERAVE product that works for you, it is nothing short of chef’s kiss 😘. I haven’t used anything but CERAVE on my face since it completely transformed my skin 2 years ago. Here are some of the moisturizers that were left sitting on my vanity, sad and alone when I found CERAVE. I still LOVE some of these brands but they’ve been replaced for good: (TOTAL = $1,078 😱🤯🤭😵😭) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator CLARINS - Hydra-Essentiel Cream Gel Kate Somerville - Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream COSRX - Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream (shocking, considering I sold my soul to buy this 💰- but true) Charlotte Tilbury - Magic Cream Moisturizer YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer OLE HENRIKSEN - Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream SATURDAY SKIN - Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane (close #2!) CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin comes in a literal family-size tub and it costs about $24.99 CAD. It’s less packaging, less marketing, less money than any of the products I’ve tried (with the exception of The Ordinary) and it delivers way more results, way more value and is formulated way better for use over time. That’s super key 🔑 because any moisturizer can be effective but not a whole lot of them are good for your use over time without sensitizing your skin in some way. There’s nothing sexier to me than skin that is actually hydrated and brighter and clearer. It feels better, it’s actually healthier as opposed to just looking healthier and all of your makeup looks way better on top. If you’re spending a ton of 💰 and you’re in a skin rut like I was - it might be time to simplify!
BODY SHOP - the good and the meh
THE BODY SHOP - Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash This is a pretty basic cleanser - nothing else to say about it. Is doesn’t cause any issues and doesn’t make it squeaky or anything... just basic and boring. THE BODY SHOP - Drop of Youth Bouncy Eye Mask You don’t need much of this. I use it as a night eye cream, it feels lovely... but it doesn’t really do anything. THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser this absorbs really well and keeps moisture in. I wouldn’t say it gives me a glow, but it is nice for a simple (not too pricey) gel. THE BODY SHOP - Drops Of Youth Youth Concentrate this product absorbs really nicely and the bottle lasts forever. The stickiness goes away within 30 seconds. Would recommend THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner it’s a toner, and a cheap one. Since using it I get a lot less little break outs. It doesn’t really do much mattifying, but for the price - very happy 🙂 would probably avoid if you have super sensitive skin
Oily skin and Large pores?
So I’m pretty new to this app and also skincare in general. Tbh, I struggle a lot with consistency. I use THE BODY SHOP - Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash daily and THE BODY SHOP - Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator 2-3 times a week. I think that they’re working very well! I used to have a lot of acne and acne marks as a teen and now I have much less spots and marks. But of course I still have some persistent ones. I also use AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay once a week. I’m most consistent with my cleanser but I have an issue of holding it off. I also use a combination of rose water, witch hazel and tea tree oil in a little mixture as toner but I probably do this 1-3 times a week because laziness 🤪 I don’t really go outside a lot so I don’t really use moisturizer and sunscreen but I always use them whenever I do go out. Obviously, you can see the flaws in my routine. My biggest skin concerns are my oily skin, especially in the T zone, large pores on my nose and cheeks, and dark marks from acne (I have the WORST habit of popping pimples). So what I want to ask is some suggestions on ways to help my target issues and also for a consistent routine, preferably one that isn’t as intensive(?). I’m looking for moisturizers, sunscreens, masks, Toners, serums, etc. But I’m also interested in k-beauty products so some suggestions of those would be great!!! (I have to apologize for not the best pictures, I was hesitant to post my face and my phone camera isn’t the best..plus! I can’t see anything without my glasses!)
🌟For combo skin🌟My Skincare Routine After Years of Exploration...
I have combination skin in summer and combination-dry skin in winter. My T-zone is not very oily and my cheeks are pretty normal. I get allergies easily during the change of seasons, so repairing my skin barrier is what I focus on for my skincare. 😫😫😫 Here is my skincare routine. Cleansing: I only wash my face with water every morning. Girls with dry-sensitive skin don't need to over-cleanse, just splash your face with some cold water.💦💦 Toner:#OLE HENRIKSEN - Balancing Force Oil Control Toner[products]#[FiveStars] This is a product with a great reputation, containing green tea, eucalyptus, algae, and Irish moss extracts with a blend of both beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). This refreshing toner smells like peppermint and it feels great in summer. It maintains the oil and water balance of skin and doesn't leave your skin feeling dry, so it's suitable for most skin types, even dry skin. Apply it on your T-zone and hairline after removing your makeup and cleansing, and you'll feel instantly refreshed. Lotion: I'm using the moisturizer version of ALBION milk lotion which is more suitable for dry skin. I use it with the skin conditioner essential to keep my skin hydrated and stable. I'll pour some of the skin conditioner onto a cotton pad and apply it on my face as a toner mask when I have acne and it really helps clear problem areas from just the next day. Serum: SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate is my true love and I've been repurchasing it over and over again. It keeps my skin healthy and delicate, and I rarely have acne breakouts anymore. The main ingredients in this Murad serum are peptides and three kinds of plant-derived extracts which are both moisturizing and anti-aging. The official website clearly states using it last in your skincare routine. Its texture is a little heavier than normal hydrating serums, so I recommend it for those with dry skin. Eye Cream：SHISEIDO - Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream& LANCÔME - Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum I recommend those with dry skin to try using the Lancôme Serum with the Benefiance eye cream. Lancôme Advanced Génifique Serum is a water-based serum that's extremely moisturizing. You can apply the serum onto your face with the "ball-tip" applicator then massage it with your fingertips until it's fully absorbed by the skin. Then I'll follow up with Shiseido Eye Cream in the evening during fall and winter. It's moisturizing but not oily and it's also effective in getting rid of laugh lines. Facial Cream: SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream, ORIGINS - High-Potency Night-a-Mins Resurfacing Cream With Fruit-Derived AHAs, and Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream These three facial creams that I chose have their own advantages. SK-II New Age Cream has a thick and heavy texture but it spreads easily and is super moisturizing. After it's absorbed, I feel that it leaves my skin with a protective layer, sealing in the moisture and nutrition. It also accelerates skin's metabolism when you use it during allergy flares. Origins Renewal Cream has a luscious texture and it spreads easily. Emulsify it on your palm before massaging it onto your skin until it's fully absorbed. However, this cream is only suitable for dry skin and for those who are not allergic to AHAs and mineral oil. On the other hand, Dr. Jart+ is great for sensitive skin. Ceramide and squalane are both useful in keeping our skin hydrated and in repairing our skin barrier, so I always use it when my skin flakes during allergy flares. Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream can quickly reduce skin redness and relieve itching. I find it better than First Aid Beauty and CeraVe, and compared to the high-priced La Mer, Dr. Jart is more afforable. That's all I have for today. Thanks a lot for reading it! If you have any suggestions or questions hmu 🥰

Staying at home morning routine
Staying at home morning routine We have been staying at home in the most of time, so I usually do a very simple morning routine when I wake up. Besides, I moved to a place where is pretty hot and always raining. So even I have dry skin, I don’t need to worry about dryness during the daytime. Two of three products I use are really affordable, and I just want to share my thoughts about this kind of routine so that you can create your own ones. The first step is washing my face. I usually don’t have too much oil on my face when I wake up, so what I need is a fresh cleanser that is gentle and will not dry my skin. The Aqua bomb jelly cleanser from Belif is quite good, which is a gel-to-foam cleanser and does a great job on cleaning my pores. Sometimes I only use it on my nose and forehead if my face is not oily. Then I will apply a toner twice. I would use a cotton pad to swipe my entire face and neck at the first time for secondary cleaning, and then I will apply some toner again for refreshing. I use the Toning lotion with chamomile from Clarins recently, and it is a gentle, alcohol-free toner with purifying chamomile and linden extracts. It claims to leave skink pH balanced and spa refreshed. I can’t know the pH of my skin, but I do feel the refresh part. However, it smells pretty intense and I recommend to try it before buying it. The last product I use is a famous serum from Estee Lauder, the Advanced night repair. I have been using it for several years and I can feel it make my skin healthier and stronger. Even it is a night serum, I think it can be used anytime. Because the weather is wet and hot, so I don’t need extra moisturizing during the daytime, so this serum is enough for me right now. That completes my morning routine, and the key point is stay fresh and simple, without too many ingredients. And you can always be creative of your own routine.
ESTĒE LAUDER-Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex
Fre is formulated with a natural blend of Argan oil and leaf extract. It’s made for skin that sweats and is perfect for women who workout (which I need to do more often 🙈). All of the products are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic so they won’t clog pores. This kit contains the following items: 🌸Protect Me Defense Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30. This is ophthalmologist tested so it won’t sting eyes, even with intense sweating. It absorbs quickly and is water resistant for 80 minutes. This was my favourite of the three products. I used this on my vacation and it absolutely does what it claims! It goes on smoothly and felt non-greasy on skin. My husband who normally dislikes sunscreen on his face due to it getting in his eyes when he sweats wore this and had no issues with stinging. This may have actually converted him to wearing facial sunscreen! 🤞 🌸Purify Me Hydrating Facial Cleanser. This cleanser restores the natural PH balance of skin while unclogging pores and removing toxins. It hydrates skin and also prevents breakouts. I loved the citrus scent of this cleanser and it did a nice job of cleansing and gently exfoliating my skin. 🌸Revive Me Deep Replenishing Serum. This is made to regenerate collagen and improve skin elasticity. It combats photo-aging and other environmental aging effects while reducing wrinkles. I enjoyed this serum as a daytime serum as it felt nice and light. Personally I look for something a bit more intense for my nighttime serum.
Use skincare product-wise! Use the different product in the morning and at night – for oily or combination skin
The AM skincare routine aims at protection, while the PM skincare routine aims at refreshing and restoration. Use different products for a different purpose! I have combination skin with T area oil while other areas normal. To avoid acne, blackheads, and coarse pores, I am supposed to focus on hydrating, so I adapt my skincare routine for the different time slots. Here goes my daily skin routine: #AM# ORIGINS - Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream From my experience, in the daytime, the skin may get oily after movement or because of the temperature. Unlike the PM cream, this one is a gel texture. It feels comfortable and balanced once you put it on the face, and you could absorb the cream easily after a little massage. The key ingredients include imperata cylindrica’s roots (desert plant extract) and glacial glycoprotein (derived from sea glacier), both provide immediate and lasting hydration. #PM# LANCÔME - Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum If your age is 25+, this award-winning (over 170) serum is a must! Although the selling point of the serum is anti-aging, you can not ignore the other effects. After a month, I feel that my skin gets smoother. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream I use Ultra Facial Cream cream at night which contains squalane, and the creamy texture helps the skin build a barrier and keep moisture. I tried the routine for over two years. The greasy problem improved a lot, and now I rarely suffered from it. It is vital to stick to the routine unless you are allergic. The skin condition got significantly better after three months. Furthermore, keep a healthy lifestyle also helps to improve skin condition.

Not even going to lie .. the vitamin e from the body shop has SAVED MY SKIN. For dry skin that still has acne, I recommend using these 3 products and you will get GLOWY SMOOTH SKIN within a few uses.
