So You’re New to Skincare and Need a Routine

I will recommend products, brands, and explain a few things so you can create your own skincare routine! Skincare Brands: Here are a few trusted brands I recommend. Remember something that works for one person might not work for you. - CeraVe- you can get CeraVe from your local pharmacy or just from amazon. they aren’t expensive but still have great ingredients that are good for sensitive skin - Drunk Elephant- a more expensive brand but worth it. they are vegan, cruelty-free, and great for sensitive skin - Youth to the People- once again a more expensive brand but amazing products. they are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and great for sensitive skin - Krave- medium priced and sell super great serums. vegan, cruelty-free, and for sensitive skin - The Ordinary- sell cheap products with great ingredients! this brand is mostly for serums and acids. also cruelty-free - Paula’s Choice- medium priced products. most are serums, acids, and toners. also cruelty-free SPF: Sunscreen is a must! No matter your skin type or what products you use. It protects your skin from UV rays and lessens your chance of skin cancer. Some moisturizers have sunscreen in it already while others don’t. If they don’t, then you need to buy separate face sunscreen. Sunscreens can be physical or chemical. Here are the pros and cons: Chemical: - Absorbed Into skin - Thin and ideal for everyday use - Skincare ingredients added easily on top - Wait 15 minutes to be effective - Reapply every 2 hours or so Physical: - Sits on top of skin - Works immediately - Apply once - Thicker and heavier - Not waterproof Basic Skincare Parts: All skincare routines must have a cleanser, moisturizer, and some sort of sunscreen no matter your skin type or concerns. Use a cleanser 1-2 times a day and a moisturizer after. Here are my recommendations for cleansers and moisturizers. Cleansers/Face Wash: -CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanserthis is best for normal, dry, and combo skin. it leaves the face feeling soft and hydrated. -CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinthis is best for normal, oily, and combo skin. it’s gentle, effective, and removes oil without damaging the skin barriers. - CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinthis is for people who have acne! SA stands for salicylic acid. the acid goes into your pores and dissolves any dead skin cells clogging it. - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanserthis can be used for all skin types and is particularly good for acne. even if you don’t have acne I still recommend this product. it gives a deep cleanse to make sure your pores are completely clean. - fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Washgreat for all skin types. it removes all makeup, including mascara, as well as impurities, leaving your skin clean. Moisturizers: -DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Creama gel-like texture that absorbs into skin quickly. leaves it soft, hydrated, protected, and gives it a slight glow. great for sensitive skin! -FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydrationamazing for super dry skin and eczema. absorbs quickly into skin and leaves it soft. -CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30generally lightweight but still moisturizes well! good for acne and skin texture because it has niacinamide in it. still everyone can use it. has sunscreen already in it for the day. -CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionsame product above except slightly thicker and without spf for night. - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishiamazing for sensitive, dry or combo skin. boosts skin’s hydration and won’t clog your pores. -Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream great hydrating moisturizer that is also a primer for makeup. for people with normal or dry skin. not for sensitive skin because it has fragrance in it. Acids/Serums: Acids and serums are for specific skin concerns such as acne, redness, blackheads, dullness, etc. Here are ones I recommend to everyone even if you are new to skincare! Use these after cleanser but before moisturizer. (Patch test before use.) Look on websites for instructions and make sure ingredients don’t conflict if you use multiple acids. - The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%for people with acne, large pores, blackheads, and skin texture. honestly everyone can use this in their routine! -Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum does the same thing as above - PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Boosterdoes the same thing as above - The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5hydrates the skin and makes it bouncy. gives it a glow. no matter your skin type or concerns you should use this! apply on damp skin - Krave - Great Barrier Reliefgreat for redness and irritation. will soothe the skin.

I Tried It All & An Acne Victory Emerged!
Hormonal acne is extremely difficult to completely eliminate unless you treat the cause- which, my hormone fluctuations aren’t going anywhere, so I’d gotten pretty good at controlling breakouts via salicylic acid and niacinamide while I used azelaic acid and alpha arbutin to fade any leftover spots. But nothing has helped minimize my hormonal breakouts quite like Tretinoin 0.05%, a prescription that was previously unattainable thanks to the $200 copay for the dermatologist visit and the $180 prescription cost. Apostrophe doesn’t require you to have insurance- they have a flat rate $20 “visit fee” during which you fill out a questionnaire (including your health history) and send a dermatologist photos of your skin. Then that $20 goes towards your first prescription fill in their pharmacy, which is only $60 the first time and $90 after, though each lotion bottle should last about 3+ months with recommended use. $30 a month for the gold standard topical anti-aging ingredient and clinically-proven acne treatment? Sign me tf up. After just a month using Apostrophe - Topical Formula , I saw a difference in the frequency of my blemishes, though with stress and mask wearing lately I’ve been breaking out again. So my doctor added Clindamycin into my mix... at no extra charge, just the flat $90 cost. For those with insurance, you can have your prescription filled at the pharmacy of your choice (with your insurance if it covers it), making it super convenient for those that don’t want to wait on shipping times, which was only a couple days for me. The entire process, from survey to first product application, took only a week. I didn’t experience much irritation when introducing Tretinoin, as I eliminated all exfoliants and a lot of the products I was using to reduce risk of sensitizing my skin- plus I didn’t (and still don’t, even around six months later) use it daily. My skin is now less oily, less prone to the small colorless bumps that plagued my forehead, and I don’t really get blackheads anymore. For the anti-aging aspect, I’m 27, so I have few signs of aging as far as my skin goes- I have noticed some slight improvement in a crease in my forehead I’ve had since I was 16, which is promising! I just can’t emphasize enough how, while this didn’t cure my acne or the cystic blemishes I get around my period, this lotion has been the best acne treatment I have tried so far. #CheriePartner

Ingredient Spotlight: Niacinamide 🌿
You've probably heard of this powerhouse ingredient due to its growth in popularity over the past few years. And it's not surprising why! This skin-perfecting ingredient deserves to be in the spotlight because of its versatility for almost any skin type or concern. So what is Niacinamide? ⭐ Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3, and is also known as nicotinamide. It's also found in foods, dietary supplements and medication. It's a water- soluble vitamin that naturally works with your skin without damaging it. Niacinamide can help build proteins in the skin and lock in moisture to prevent environmental damage. Benifits of Niacinamide ⭐ Niacinamide has a long list of benifits for your skin. It can be used by almost anyone to help treat just about any skincare condition. Of course, always do your research or consult a dermatologist before introducing new ingredients, especially if you have a serious condition or are under medication. Niacinamide... - Helps build skin immunity & strengthen lipid barrier - Minimizes blotchiness & redness - Anti-inflamatory - Minimizes the appearance of pores - Regulates oil production - Protects against sun damage - Skin brightener- treats against hyperpigmentation & dull skin - Fights against toxins & environmental stressors - Treats acne & textured/orange peel skin And let me tell you... niacinamide does ALL of these things for my skin. It strengthened my skin barrier, rebalanced, and resurfaced my skin from the start. And got rid of so many little bumps and clogged pores on my forehead. It helps balance my complexion, and calm down my acne. And works and regulates my oil production throughout the day...and also brightens my post acne dark spots. My fine lines on my forehead also started to fade away after consistently using niacinamide. How to use Niacinamide ⭐ What I love about niacinamide is that you can use it every day. Even twice a day if you please. In fact, your skin might already have built up a bit of tolerance for it, because it's an ingredient found in probably most of your skincare already. Just at a smaller quantity. You can also combine niacinamide with almost any other ingredient. In some instances it can even boost the effectiveness of that other ingredient! Niacinamide MAY cause purging with some people, but not all. It didn't with me. You can most commonly find high %'s of niacinamide in a serum form, often combined with Zinc for acne, or different skin brighteners. It's also in a multitude of creams/moisturizers, toners and masks. I'm telling you... you can find it anywhere

HOW TO GET YOUR MAN ON A SKIN CARE ROUTINE!💞
Me being the skin care junkie that I am, my boyfriend is forced to listen to me rant about products, sales, ingredients, & my good (and bad) skin days. Eventually, I dragged him into liking it to! (kind of). I've peaked his interest...and now he understands the concept & importance of skin health. Eventually he started a routine, & now enjoys it! He has resilient, combo skin with an occasional blemish, but overall his skin is pretty good! He just needs the basics, no crazy treatments or harsh products. Just a cleanser, SPF, and moisturizer. He's been using the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser , the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion and the CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 The cleanser isn't abrasive & stripping like his previous Neutrogena Deep Scrub! 😳 Also, the Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid in these reduced his pores, redness, & smoothed his skin. And now he's using SPF too!! 😆 These are fast absorbing, light-weight, quality products perfect for his skin! 💯 I promise, they're ways to get your man to start a skin care routine too, without forcing him to watch Hyram... Don't over-complicate it! 🗯 Simple is best. You don't want to overwhelm him, or make it seem long & time-consuming. Don't choose products with girly packaging! 💟 If he's into it, then go for it! But most of the time those girly, shiny products with cute names don't sound appealing to them. Especially just getting into it. He needs to realize it's about skin health!🏥 Let him know its just a way of taking care of yourself. And that makeup and skincare are different things! Because my boyfriend would mix them up all the time. I honestly don't think he knew the difference...which made him more hesitant. Do it together!👥 If you guys live together, start dedicating time in the bathroom before you go to bed to just unwind. Have him try your products, or do a skin care routine together! Make it enjoyable and a memorable experience, so it sets a positive impression. Consistently show him products and explain what they do! 🧴🧼 What peaked my boyfriends interest was me talking to him about products all the time, & what they fix! I would catch him complaining about his skin over a pimple or redness, and I would tell him about an ingredient or product that would help that issue. It intrigued him! Consider fragrance free, light-weight products that fit his skin type! ✅ The biggest complaint I hear from guys and skin care is that it feels greasy, heavy, or sticky. The purfumey smell is a big one too. So avoid those things. And make sure to talk to him about his skin type & properly match what products would be best for him! Make sure he STAYS on the routine. Remind him about it, & don't forget to compliment his skin! 💞 I still try to remind my boyfriend, but at this point he always remembers. Also, COMPLIMENT his skin!! If he's starting a routine, he wants to know you see results. He wants to look good in your eyes!

winter moisture boost!
I only started my skincare journey in January of this year, so I've been adjusting to the seasons as I go. I've noticed as we transition into colder weather that my skin feels moisturized to the touch, but my face feels simultaneously too oily and too dry/tight. Here's my spring/summer a.m. skincare routine for reference: COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser L'ORÉAL - Revitalift Derm Intensives Vitamin C Serum The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 I knew I didnt want to add another moisturizer under my already thick moisturizer SPF (my skin hates weighty moisture), so I bought the COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence . It adds a good dose of moisture, while being light-weight enough for my oily combination skin. Within a couple days, my skin stopped feeling parched! I would absolutely recommend for combo to oily skinned peeps!! Such a good winter supplement to my daily regime!

Transitioning Into My Winter Skin Care! ❄
So technically, I never even transitioned into my "Fall skincare" this year. Where I live, the fall months don't usually get that cold. For the most part, i've been using the same products I was using in the Summer. And that was a mistake! For the past few weeks it's been really dry outside, and eventually resulted in a disruption of my moisture barrier. My cheeks, and especially the area around my eyes felt super tight, and even got cracked and flakey. Lets Talk Cleansers! I LOVE the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . It will always be a holy grail for me, 365 days a year. This restores and hydrates my skin, and my go-to morning cleanse. I believe in cleansing twice a day, but the morning cleanse should be with a simple, gentle cleanser. Cleansing can be really harsh for the skin, and using a foaming or treatment cleanser twice a day can stir up trouble! Another good one is the PAULA'S CHOICE - Defense Hydrating Gel-to-Cream Cleanser . This one works better as a second cleanse, to help remove makeup. It foams up, and claims to remove makeup. In my opinion, it doesn't work that well without an oil cleanse or micellar water beforehand. This cleanser isn't AS hydrating but still really good and makes my skin soft. Unlike CeraVe, this one this one has a triple-superfood complex, and antioxidants! Lately, I've been oil cleansing, then going in with the Paulas Choice cleanser, & then the CeraVe one, as my night time routine. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Even if you have oily skin, moisturize! My go-to moisturizers are the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion as well as the VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream . Both of these products I LOVE. They are perfect for acne-prone skin, & at a decent price point. But now... I'm going to start incorporating a more hydrating, heavier moisturizer, like the CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream . I'm very picky about heavy moisturizers because my pores are easily clogged. CeraVe is always a reliable brand I can count on to have simple, non-irritating products that get the job done. (And DOESNT clog pores.) Another good one is the PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum . This one is technically a serum but works like a moistuizer. It's very light but super hydrating & moisturizing! It has robust levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9 for calm, stronger & healthier skin. It also has ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid & Shea Butter. Surprisingly, the Shea butter in this does not clog my pores. Hyaluronic Acid! I don't own a sole Hyaluronic Acid serum, but I use the The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA . This is really good at hydrating and plumping my skin. And it calms & depuffs any inflammation I may have. I like that it's paired with Alpha Arbutin so this serum also fades dark spots & brightens my skin. Plus, these two ingredients can be paried with almost any other active, so it's easy to include this serum in a any routine.

Popular Moisturizers for Dry Sensitive Skin
I have tried these all and here is my take. I have combo skin that gets dry in the winter and oily in the summer. So now that it’s winter I have tried some new products and gone back to some old tried and true favorites. Here is my opinion and I hope you find it useful! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream If you have eczema, dry skin, and or sensitive skin, this is a great option! When I was battling with eczema on my face this was a lifesaver! It’s not just for your face and makes a great hand cream. It works as a great barrier during the cold winter months. The only reason it doesn’t have five stars for me is that even though it soothes dry skin and eczema, it isn’t actually moisturizing enough for me in the winter. It doesn’t penetrate deep enough. It sits on top of my skin and helps it not loose moisture but doesn’t provide enough additional moisture for me. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi Great moisturizer and my go to for the winter. It is so moisturizing and a little goes a long way. No fragrance makes this a good choice for sensitive skin. Squalane is a great ingredient for hydration and you are seeing it in more and more products. Ashwagandha helps with visible signs of fatigue and Fermented Reishi helps detoxify, hydrate, and fight premature signs of aging. It has some solid ingredients. It does have caramel color which provides 0% benefit to the product but nothing can be perfect right? I noticed more plump skin with no irritation which is why this is one of the two moisturizers I use daily. TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream Before I got this I had been using the Silk Peony Eye Cream from Tatcha and it’s one of the few eye creams that doesn’t irritate my skin. So I was very excited to see what else Tatcha had to offer. The packaging is BEAUTIFUL but very unnecessary. It contains Japanese Purple Rice that boasts many benefits such as helping the skin recover from stress, pollution, and UV damage for healthier looking skin. For me it fell short. The added fragrance was of no benefit to my skin and something in the ingredient list clogged my pores sadly. I had to exchange it and it made me so sad it didn’t work for me. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream Deluxe Sample I got this first as a sample and I actually really like it! Ok...I love it! Drunk Elephant has some mixed reviews in the beauty world and comes at a hefty price tag but when my sensitive skin finds something that works for it I will spend the money for happy skin. The blend of African oils and the plant derived ceramides really help to give moisture and lock it in. Great for dry winter weather! I have two samples to use up then I am buying a full size! I hope you enjoyed my reviews! Xoxo

Please help!!😭
I started a skin routine like a week ago and things were going pretty well. Every morning I would cleanse, put a bakuchiol serum and moisturizer. At night I'd cleanse, apply rosehip oil and moisturizer. I immediately saw improvement. While I still had whiteheads, blackheads, and pustules, I didn't have any painful or itchy pimples. But then I decided to get CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin because, cult favorite☝️ and Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55because I need sunscreen Worse thing is I checked the ingredients in COSDNA😖 there were some ingredients that were supposed to be really irritating in both of them, but I put it on my face anyway *intense facepalm right about now* I got these horribly painful pimples under my nose, on my chin, on my forehead and on my cheeks😭😭 I also got these weird bumps on my chin?? idk what to do, they hurt so bad :(

My skin Kraves these! 🌊
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WORTH THE HYPE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The products are the only ones I've tried from Krave Beauty so far. I strongly look foward to trying them all eventually. Krave - Great Barrier Relief Is my saving grace! This is a forever staple in my collection of skincare now. I know this product will sooth and heal my skin whenever I need it most. Even if I don't have a damaged skin barrier, applying this in my night routine and putting an oil or night cream over it for bed causes my skin to wake up so hydrated and happy. ♡ Ingredients ♡ Tamanu Oil: breakout-clearing, texture-smoothing, manicure-giving (beta) active that helps revive skin Niacinamide: prevent breakouts and fades the look of dark spots while brightening skin Safflower and Rosehip oil: calms redness, soothes irritation, heals and nourishes dryness 🌎 I would say the smell is a bit interesting, the only way I could describe it is earthy, but I enjoy it. Also the texture is thicker than the usual serum so it spreads more like a moisturizer, but soaks into the skin quickly. Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream is an awesome morning moisturizer for me. This pairs so nice with sunscreen on top. Personally, I have pretty try skin so this cream is not enough alone unless I use a face oil before. (I love to layer light moisturizers like this others though so I love it) ♡ Ingredients ♡ Less than 10 ingredients: oat, water, 3 moisturizers, 2 skin emollients, 2 formula stabilizers. Oat, the main ingredient, is a longtime favorite for calming irritation and rebalancing stressed skin damaged by environmental aggressors. Amazing for all skin types and sensitivity prone too! 🌊 Incredibly light and creamy to apply. My fav base moisturizer for layering other moisturizers and sunscreens on top!! I'm looking forward to ordering all the other Krave Beauty products!! Thank you for reading! ♡✨🌸

Adding The Ordinary into my routine!
Skin type: combination??? I think? 😂 Above are three photos, before, during, and after of 1 month using 2 products from The Ordinary! Disclaimer: my routine still includes a few products off brand from The Ordinary, but here is my take on it! The first product I added was the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Pro: I was told that this serum would hydrate my skin and help smooth some of the textured skin I have from my large pores, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! I did go through a small purging phase, I think, but it was hard to tell because I am constantly dealing with acne where my mask sits. I have to weak a mask for the majority of my days, and I am sadly very prone to the maskne :(((( Using this serum, though, with my salicylic acid cleanser has definitely helped speed up the healing process for my acne! Cons: I will say, the consistency is a bit goopy in my opinion, and I’ve noticed that since I started to use this product, my forehead has never been more oily... I’ve never had this issue before in my life, so I’m not sure what’s going wrong there. But nothing a few blot sheets can’t fix! The second product I incorporated was the The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' Pro: If you can see in the first photo, I had a lot of pigmentation issues with red splotches all over my cheeks/cheekbone area. The Buffet has definitely helped to fade that issue, as well as brighten my skin. I feel like these two products go so well together to fade my blemishes and keep my complexion nice and even! Cons: Like the Hyaluronic Acid, the Buffet also leaves a bit of a sticky residue. It doesn’t bother me too much, but I have heard that this issue can cause piling if you wear makeup. Just something to keep in mind. — Sadly, I only recently started to change my whole skincare routine to nice serums, creams, etc. while we’ve been in the middle of the pandemic. So I still find that I will have HORRIBLE skin days due to the masks I have to constantly wear as a student still having classes in person, running errands, etc. Some days it feels like everything skin related that I’ve been working towards for months just completely cancel out when my face starts to break out, my skin dulls, or my pores just keep expanding. But it’s definitely been a journey and I just hope that it will eventually get better, even with the bad days! To touch on the pores, as you can probably see in those photos, mine are HUGE and they somehow always seem to clog only hours after I do my routine :( I have learned recently that a lot of it has to do with excess sebum, so to counteract that, I purchased the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’ve heard mixed opinions, but at this point, I’m willing to try anything to reduce my pores around my nose and cheeks. I will update that process in a month or so!

Winter Routine for DRY Skin
My cheeks have been SO dry lately. It’s been a struggle to keep my sensitive combo skin hydrated with the change in weather. I’ve thus made a couple swaps from my summer routine to keep my skin moisturized and not flakey. 🌬I swapped my trusty jojoba oil in the morning for a light application of Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream (I use about half the amount I use at night- just enough to get an even layer) 🌬I went back the old CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser from their new CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser . Although I like the new version better, I just need every scrap of hydration I can get right now. 🌬Lastly, I recently started applying a thin layer of Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment over my cheeks at night (post on this coming soon!) In short, my routine is now: 🌤 rinse, hydrating toner, moisturizer, spf 🌙 double cleanse, moisturizer*, ointment as needed *I swap my Ceramidin for MAELOVE - Night Renewer 2x / week

Help!!!!! Problems with Cerave SA Cleanser
Hii! I’ve been using the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinfor about a month now. I use it every other day at night before I go to bed. I’ve been realizing this cleanser gives me under the skin pimples, but has made my skin more even and has minimized my pores greatly. It has also got rid of most of the texture of small colorless bumps on my forehead and chin. I already had/have acne so I figured this was just the purging period, but I’ve been using this product for a month and want to stop waking up with a new pimple every time I use it ): The pimples that appear are usually in the same spots, and sometimes even an old pimple will resurface. Please help explain to me why this is happening and if I should discontinue use! *** The rest of my routine includes: CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin every morning and nights i dont use the sa cleaner CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionmorning and night ——————- I cannot use many fragrances or chemicals as it damages my skin more than anything, thats why my skincare routine is so short and limited.

glossier products
Hey everyone! 👋 I wanna talk to you all about glossier products. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser So the Glossier company is completely overrated because it’s a name brand. These products have things that are so bad for your face. The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser has fragrance and parabens. You should always focus on what is in a product than what the name of the product is. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer So this product isn’t awful for your face, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend this. This product holds so much fragrance and it’s just not good for your face. If you have this product, throw it in the garage or only use it when it’s an emergency. Glossier. - All Balms Set When we talk about this product, I just feel it’s overrated. It’s just like any other lip balm you see in stores. You can find a product just like this in so many stores for a cheaper price. Only buy this if you feel it works for you!☺️ In conclusion, I feel like these products are just over priced and not even good for your skin. Don’t use these products unless your desperate.😅

Glossier Product Review
Glossier. - Balm Dotcom This is a great lip salve. It moisturizes my lips when they are dry and is perfect for on the go. There is a lot of product in the tube. I got it in Cherry and Birthday. Cherry had the perfect red tint where it is visible but is clearly not lipstick or anything close. It is great for everyday. Birthday had a very nice shimmer to it. It is like a gloss but without the stickiness and is also nourishing. The packaging is, of course, so aesthetic just like with everything Glossier. The only issue is that it comes off generally easy and is slightly over priced. Obviously, you are also paying for the pretty packaging and the good ingredients. I might buy again because Cherry is the perfect tint for me when I go to school. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer I love this moisturizer. It is marketed as it is: a lightweight, glowy primer. It soaks into my skin fast and is super lightweight, but at the same time it keeps my skin hydrated all day. If you are looking for a rich moisturizer for super dry skin don’t buy this. My skin was left looking soft and had a nice glow to it. I used all of the product in about 6 months. Worth the price. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara I loved this mascara. It looked natural and made my lashes long. It was perfect for school. The packing says it will “expire” in 6 months at the bottom and it did exactly that, so I can’t really be angry. But still it is annoying because now it barely does anything and there is still product left inside. I would still recommend buying if you are into a natural look and I will definitely buy again. Just know its lifespan is 6 months. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color My favorite product in the world. I seriously can not stress how amazing this is. I got it in storm (shown in the second pic) which was perfect on my brown (I’m Indian for reference) skin. A little goes a long way!!!! U need so little and it shows up. I was so happy it actually showed up on my skin and it really complimented it. It is easy to apply and blends very nicely. It dries fast. If you are looking for a blush definitely buy this. It is worth the price and it has been almost a year and I haven’t run out. Glossier. - Boy Brow This is to get fluffy, bushy eyebrows and still look natural. But, you can still use it as a normal gel that fills in your eyebrows. I bought it in black so my eyebrows look fuller. As far as the gel part it holds it pretty nicely without it being stiff. It is not the strongest hold in the world though, but I am fine with that because I don’t want my eyebrows to be that stiff. If you want a clear eyebrow gel that is very strong I recommend ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel . If you use the boy brow wrong your eyebrows are going to look like catapillars. Use it right and it darkens and fills your eyes brows nicely.

How to soothe allergic reaction on face!
I made the mistake (again) of using a shimmer eyeshadow from a palette that gave me this reaction last time - trust me I was beet red in the shower, and here's what I do anytime I have an allergic reaction to anything I put on my face (it's usually something I don't use often or when it's my first time using something). Step 1: breathe! Don't go in panic mode because this will make you feel worse. Trust me. Step 2: apply a generous amount of the Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream and though it will sting - that's the allergic reaction, it will soothe the skin with the lavender, plus it feels cold which is nice. **If you don't own this, you can use aloe vera or any good face moisturizer you have. Step 3: spray the Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray or splash water tbh if that's what you have, to literally cool your skin down. This really helps since it calms redness and cools it down. Hope no one gets any allergic reactions but in case you do here's two steps you should take if it happens, since they relieve the swelling and pain in minutes!! My face is feeling better now - about 15 minutes after it happened and it doesn't burn anymore. These two products seriously work for cooling skin down and I wanted people to know. :)

One Week Using Differin
Experience: I started using Differin about a week ago to deal with my maskne and dark spots. Ever since I started wearing masks more frequently, my skin has essentially freaked out. It’s super sensitive and dry, especially around my mouth, but I get cystic-like acne along the area where my mask touches my face. I decided that I was going to try Differin as my last resort before going to the dermatologist (cause I’m still nervous about going to doctor’s offices, unless absolutely necessary because of covid). The instructions recommend daily use; however, I began my first week by using it every other day since I’ve had negative experiences/reactions with other active ingredients before. Since then, I’ve begun using it every night. I use this in the evening after cleansing and applying moisturizer and Aquaphor’s healing ointment. Pros: I definitely already see a visible improvement in my skin, especially with the hyperpigmentation that I’ve dealt with. I do use other products that help with brightening, but I’ve been using those products for quite a while and haven’t seen such a drastic improvement until now. Cons: I experienced a few small breakouts around my chin, but they went away pretty quickly. I have yet to experience any significant purging/dryness, but I also didn’t jump immediately to daily use. Other Products I Use + Frequency: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser(everyday to remove sunscreen, PM) The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA(every other day, alternate between this and the next product/AM) The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%(every other day, alternate between this and the previous product/AM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30(everyday, AM) Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant(everyday, use as a lip balm and to protect sensitive areas of my skin when applying Differin)

I did this for a week and saw a huge change
I legit just drank 4L or 1 gallon of water a day roughly, drank a cup of water before I had coffee and just drank more water because I went from drinking like maybe 1/2L-1L a day to 4 and it made a huge difference!!!! While drinking water I’ve been using in the morning Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser I’ll be trying a new morning cleanser soon because I don’t overly enjoy this one and feel it’s kind of stripping for my skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I absolutely love this serum and feel like it really helps my breakouts and oil production Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 I’ve only been using this a few weeks and I like how it works to keep me less oily and gives me my needed spf but having combo skin I get really dry by my nose and this didn’t help that so i might try another At night I’ve been using GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover i use this makeup remover with a cotton pad gets off my water prod mascara and everything in a couple swipes and gives my face a nice gentle cleanser before using SA cleanser (I’ll get some re useable ones so that it’s more sustainable) CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I love this I find you have to build yourself up to it if you have more sensitive skin because I most certainly did and I love it, it’s living up to its promises, this cleanser shrinks my pores and removed all the little bumps and rough patches from my face. Keep in mind this can cause irritation I know it did after coming out of a pool all day for me so just be careful with it The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this twice a day because I just love it it that much The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Absolutely love this serum and ran out but I’m debating on if I want to find a nighttime moisturizer with this ingredient instead? CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I’m not a fan of this at all on my face I’m just using it till I run out but I absolutely love it as a body lotion right after a shower I’m open to product suggestions or things to add to my routine to continue my skin care journey and make it successful!!

Yo soy...not feeling it!
So, about this cleanser. Not sure why there’s such a hype. My takeaway: 1. Film - there’s a weird film/feeling on my face. I can’t quite describe it accurately. Just, an overall sort of unclean feeling.🌫 2. Effectiveness - is it really though? This doesn’t cut through some of my makeup products, especially where eye makeup is concerned. Coon eyes for days 🦝 3. Soy - umm, what? Exactly what is it doing there?? 🥘 4. Scent - wow, the smell is pretty horrendous. I can’t deal with it to save my life! 👃😷🤢

My Favorite Skincare Products on Amazon 💸
After many years of trying tons of skincare products, from drugstore names to cult classics from luxury brands, I’ve learned that a lot of the time the most popular product (or the most expensive one) isn’t actually the one that works best with my skin. Here are some of my skincare favs that you can find on Amazon for really affordable prices! COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence vs. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I’ve tried both of these products so many times, repurchasing both and using each one over a few weeks, and I always end up coming back to the COSRX essence. Not only do you get way more bang for your buck — 3.38 fl oz for about $12 vs. 1 fl oz for about $7 for The Ordinary — but I feel like this essence absorbs more quickly than The Ordinary without leaving any tacky feeling on top. The pump bottle packaging of the COSRX essence is also a great bonus! elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 vs. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I first tried this Supergoop sunscreen because it was marketed to be a great primer for makeup. Although makeup does apply pretty well over this sunscreen, I didn’t like how I could feel the silicone sitting on top of my face. Sometimes it felt like my makeup didn’t “grip” onto this sunscreen as much as it should have, considering it’s meant to be a primer. I came across the EltaMD sunscreen while looking at brands loved by dermatologists, and I was immediately drawn by the fact it has niacinamide! The prices are pretty comparable — $34 for Supergoop and $36 for EltaMD — but I only use this sunscreen when I’m wearing a full face of makeup, so to me it’s worth the price. The EltaMD sunscreen applies very smoothly and doesn’t feel greasy or silicone-y, and I’m able to apply primer and foundation over it without feeling like the textures don’t mesh well. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser vs. fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I was looking for a gentle cleanser that didn’t have a super creamy formula when I first tried the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, which is the most popular face cleanser at Sephora. I’m glad I didn’t buy the full size at first because for $38, it really feels like this cleanser does the bare minimum! It’s gentle and not overly drying, but it definitely doesn’t remove makeup as easily as I had hoped. For $38 I expected a lot more. My current cleanser is the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Face Wash Cleanser, which is a foaming cleanser meant for oily skin but is still insanely gentle and never leaves my face feeling tight or stripped of moisture! It’s also only $15 for almost three times as much product as the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, which is always a win for me. What are your favorite skincare products on Amazon?

I need help!!
I don't know what these scabs are all from - but I guess it's from cystic acne right? I think I might've spread the infection to my nose by picking at the one on my chin (the red spot), which has been switching between healing and being infected for a few years. So I guess I have cystic acne then, right? What are some products that help? I appreciate anyone helping me !! ❤️❤️ A few things to add: I do have one hole on my chin right near that big red one, which sometimes is a blackhead and other times is just there infected I guess. The red spot on my left nostril oozes this yellowy stuff, same with my chin, and becomes a scab and the flakes if that cyst is disrupted/picked at/if the skin tears or moves (both of the cysts tend to hurt a lot and ooze a lot because they're on spots of my face that move a lot. I wouldn't have such a big problem if these were on my forehead or cheek) Some products I have for acne & redness: Clearasil - Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment Murad - Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%

Best Niacinamide(b3) Serums— Clear Skin for Days
I’m addicted to niacinamide (aka b3!) as a skincare ingredient. One of the most powerful topical antioxidants, it reduces oil and sebum production (less clogged pores!) and also helps reverse hyperpigmentation and scarring. It keeps my skin clear and soft like no other ingredient within skincare, and so I always have a serum of it on hand to make sure my skin stays texture and blemish free. An effective concentration is 5-10%, used once a day. Any more than that will cause irritation! This ingredient shouldn’t burn or sting. If you’re experiencing that and redness, you’re likely allergic to it from a niacin allergy. First up is my HG serum Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum which I’ve been using since it dropped around four years ago. It’s solved so many of my problems, and the 5% niacinamide content doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s not sticky, it smells and feels like water and sinks in very easily. I’ve never had irritation or any issues with this, and I use four drops every night. The fact they made the bottle twice as big for the same price is a huge plus, and means that I only have to repurchase once every three months. I prefer this formulation because it has very little fillers, all the ingredients included in the formulation are either healing or hydrating The second best I’ve found is REVOLUTION - Blemish and Pore Refining Serum - 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc which sells for around 7$ at Ulta. It’s really a bargain. It’s a higher concentration of b3, which I noticed started irritating me. When I cut down usage to once every two days using only two drops, the irritation went away. You could also dilute a little bit with toner, which is what I did as well. It’s a bit sticky, but not overwhelmingly as it sinks in quickly and the stickiness disappears. The formulation also has very little fillers and has similar healing ingredients to the glossier serum and doesn’t pill at all, which is why I prefer it over The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% formulation. Sadly I see a ton of people using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and while it’s cost effective, the formulation really is sub par and the included ingredients are mostly fillers, rather than beneficial healing topicals. Do you use nicinamide? For me, it’s truly been a game changer ingredient in getting and keeping my skin super clear!

Easy AM-PM Routine for you 🧴⭐️🔑
☀️ AM ☀️ 1️⃣ Cleanser : 🔑Start your hydrating skin-care routine off right with this any Face wash. It’s a non-foaming, gentle cleanser packed with ingredients like glycerin and orange oil. It’s a great option for anyone with dry and sensitive skin. 2️⃣Toner : 🔑 You should use your toner only and only after you have thoroughly cleansed your skin. Take 2-3 drops of a toner on a cotton pad and wipe it on your face. Make sure that the cotton pad does not absorb too much of the liquid and is able to transfer it to your skin. 3️⃣Antioxident Serum : 🔑 Using an antioxidant serum every morning can protect your skin from the environmental attack and slow down the process of aging. You should slather on a few drops of a good antioxidant serum right after cleaning your face and before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. 4️⃣ Eye Balm /Cream : 🔑 Use only a small amount. "When you yawn, it will push it up by the tears and when you rub your eyes it will press it in by your fingers. Make sure you leave a clear area around the eyes when applying cream and only apply to the bone area."THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream 5️⃣ Acne treatment: 🔑 it’s up to you that you want to use acne treatment at morning or no but if you have bad acne problem you can use acne cream or gel for your cure. 6️⃣ Moisturizer: 🔑There is no such thing as skin that is too hydrated, and your sunscreen should not be the stand-in for moisturizer. These two products serve vastly different purposes and are not interchangeable, no matter how moisturizing your sunscreen claims to be. 7️⃣ sunscreen: 🔑 Daily sun protection is as important as drinking water and paying your parking tickets on time, so there are zero excuses for not doing it. Use after moisture your face . 8️⃣ Makeup : 🔑 if your like makeup by profession you can do makeup after your skincare routine but I just prefer myself without makeup .HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette 🌙PM🌓 1️⃣: Makeup remover : Apply an oil-based makeup remover to dry skin and massage gently until the product melts into a liquid form.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover 2️⃣Cleanser : 🔑 No matter how dry your skin, gentle cleansing at night is essential. Makeup, sunscreen, bacteria, dead skin cells, dirt, and oil build up on your face during the day. They can work their way into your pores, causing inflammation. Wash gently without scrubbing to avoid irritating your skin. acne.org - Acne.org Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Refill 3️⃣:Toner 🔑 Place toner onto a cotton ball or the tips of your fingers and massage into your face, neck and décolletage in circular motion. Humphrey's - Humphrey's Witch Hazel Facial Toner 4️⃣ Serum / Treatment: 🔑 Sleeping serums offer everything you need to give your skin eight hours of rejuvenation. Massage into your face, neck and décolletage. ESTĒE LAUDER - The Night Is Yours Repair Serum + Eye Creme 5️⃣Acne treatment:🔑 use your favorite cream or gel for your acne treatment . #Rugby - Acne medication 5[products]#[FourStars] 6️⃣Moisture / Night cream : 🔑 Put a dot of product on your forehead, nose, chin and each cheek . Once the dots are on, simply massage your night cream into your skin in an upward and outwards motion. Once all of the product has been massaged into your skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration 7️⃣ Lip mask : 🔑 Most lip masks recommend exfoliating your lips first, especially if your lips are a bit shaggy with dry skin. You can use a lip scrub, or you can simply rub a wet washcloth over them to help remove dead skin. Dry your lips. Before applying the lip mask, your lips need to be dry.LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

Hello! This is my first post on Cherie. I’m a licensed esthetician and makeup artist who works at Sephora. I get to try so many products and I love to write reviews/educate people on different products, ingredients and build skincare routines for people! My favorite brands are Youth To The People, Drunk Elephant, Dr Jart+, Farmacy and CeraVe. So here’s my review of my skincare routine products and how they’ve helped me control my hormonal acne! (I am 23 years old with combination oily skin and I have dealt with acne for years). DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Differin Gel is a fantastic over the counter retinoid available at many drugstores. It is highly effective at unclogging pores and turning over skin cells. This product causes a purge which will result in more acne at first but after about 8-12 weeks the purge will end and your acne will be reduced greatly. Differin gel helps reduce fine lines, large pores, uneven texture, hyperpigmentation and acne. I use it every other night (I use Drunk Elephant TLC serum on the nights I don’t use Differin), on clean, dry skin. I buy the 3 month supply and use a pea sized amount for application. I’ve tried Tretinoin from a dermatologist before but it was extremely irritating and I couldn’t stick to it. Differin gel is the best for sensitive, acne prone skin! FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Farmacy has fantastic clean beauty products. My favorite is their Green Clean cleansing balm. It’s a soft green sorbet with a light lime scent. It melts in your hands and applies like an oil to emulsify makeup, sun screen and pollution, and washes off like a cleansing milk, leaving skin soft and never stripped. Papaya enzyme and moringa extract detoxify the skin and echinacea calms the skin down and acts as an antioxidant. Green clean is the perfect way to remove waterproof makeup and can be used as the first step in a double cleanse. I will continue repurchasing for life because other cleansing oils just don’t make my skin feel the way this does (I have the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and I like it but it isn’t detoxifying like Green Clean). Highly recommend! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser This cleanser has been a very pleasant surprise for me! I saw many rave reviews and decided to give it a go. The Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser has a light spinach/kale scent and foams up gently. It cleanses thoroughly without stripping the skin. I use a half a pump, not a full pump since this cleanser is a bit pricy. The entire Youth To The People line is high quality, highly effective and worth it. The brand is extremely ethical, LGTBQ+ and Black Lives Matter advocates, and completely vegan/cruelty free. They also use glass packaging and strive to be as sustainable/eco friendly as possible! (I don’t have a lot of space for these reviews but I will definitely post more in the near future!)

Tips for Retinoid-Induced Dryness! 💦
Tips for Retinoid-Induced Dryness! 💦
I recently began using prescribed Clindamycin gel and Tretinoin cream for my acne. I already had dry, sensitive skin so adding these products has amped up those issues. So how am I dealing with my dry, irritated skin? Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant This ointment is designed for dry, cracked, or irritated skin. It’s clinically proven to restore smooth, healthy skin. It contains petrolatum, which acts as a skin protectant. Other ingredients include: mineral oil, ceresin, lanolin alcohol, panthenol, glycerin, and bisabolol. I mainly use this ointment on my lips, but I occasionally use it under my eyes and inside my nose if they are extra dry. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration This cream aims to help hydrated, parched skin, as well as temporarily relieve minor irritation and itching due to eczema and other conditions. It is safe for sensitive skin, and does not contain parabens, harsh chemicals, or colorants. Its star ingredients include: colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, ceramides, and squalane. Unfortunately it does contain eucalyptus oil, but the small amount doesn’t irritate my skin. I use this cream as my AM moisturizer. It is deeply hydrating and absorbs into the skin easily. My skin feels so soft and smooth thanks to this cream. It soothes my skin after applying the clindamycin gel and reduces irritation. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ This sunscreen is perfect for dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and centella asiatica extract. With its 70% moisture base and 4 different types of essences, it works like a moisturizing cream. It provides SPF50+, PA++++ protection. I use this after the Ultra Repair Cream in the AM and then reapply 1-2 times throughout the day. It provides my skin with much-needed hydration and UV protection. It’s the perfect consistency and rubs onto my skin so easily, all without being sticky. It soothes and smoothes my skin! These are just some of the products that I use. My whole routine is aimed at hydrating my skin and reducing irritation. My AM routine includes: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser , PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner , PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum , Clindamycin gel, FAB Ultra Relief Cream, and Purito Centella Unscented Sunscreen. My PM routine includes the same products listed above minus the SPF and CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream for my moisturizer.

✨That Black Girl Glow - My Steps
✨That Black Girl Glow - My Steps
Getting clear healthy skin has been a work in progress. I’m 31 and I got serious about skincare once I turned 30! My routine is 👉🏾AM: Cleanser - Moisturizer - SPF 👉🏾PM: Cleanser - Toner - Serum - Eye cream (sometimes) - Moisturizer - Face Oil 👉🏾Weekly: sheet or mud mask or both! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample I strongly prefer clean beauty when it comes to my cleanser. I have sensitive skin dry/combo skin and this one really does the trick. It can be slightly drying depending on the weather or my water intake, but that’s what moisturizer and oils are for! pūrlisse - BB Tinted Moist Cream SPF30 I use a light layer of this as SPF on days where I wear makeup. It’s alllmost perfect, except it leaves a slight ashy white cast. Not sure if it’s the SPF or the formula. I follow up w/ Fenty foundation and it’s all good! pūrlisse - Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer Great moisturizer, not greasy and doesn’t cause breakouts. I always have to add oil for my desired hydration though. Promo code: OGOW10 for 30% off Be Transcendent - Balance Toner Black Owned Brand 🖤 Great toner that gets the job done and the residue from the day off 👏🏾 évolué - evolue Hydrating Serum I had mixed feelings about this product. Hated it at first but after a few nights I found it did help the product absorb FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil Obsessed! Smooth, absorbing, thick af and smells like honey 🥰 This will give you guaranteed GLOW ✨

PM ROUTINE - summer 2020
PM ROUTINE - summer 2020
SKIN TYPE - ☀️: combination/oily ❄️: normal/dry LOCATION - New York City STEP 1 - FIRST CLEANSE Neutrogena - Ultra Light Cleansing Oil I start with this only if I have makeup or SPF to wash off. I’m usually pretty skeptical of drugstore skincare brands that were popular in my teens (including Neutrogena) but this product only needs to do one thing great - remove makeup and oil. It’s straightforward, gets the job done, emulsifies with no greasy residue, and what knocks it up to 5⭐️ is because the price is RIGHT. —————————— GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover My first step if I don’t have makeup or SPF to wash off. The thing is, I think I’d rate all micellar waters 5⭐️ because we ask so little of them anyways. I ALWAYS rinse this off to make a clear path for my next products. STEP 2 - SECOND CLEANSE KORRES - Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser I double cleanse for PM only. Perfect for combination skin - hydrating texture of a cream & thorough cleansing of a foam. There’s a light, clean, sweet almondy scent that doesn’t irritate my skin or nose, and totally disappears when you rinse it off. A little pricier than what I would normally spend on a cleanser, but a little amount goes a long way! STEP 3 - SERUM(S) Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum This is what I would recommend to anyone with super sensitive skin that’s looking to introduce niacinimide into their routine. Many popular formulas use 10% and higher, so at 5% this is a great gateway serum! 😄 My favorite thing is the texture - all Glossier serums are lightweight, non-sticky, and absorb super quickly. The reason it’s only 3⭐️ is the price, which I find is mostly for the branding, as you can find the same serums elsewhere at higher strengths for much less. I use this on my t-zone at the same time I apply hyaluronic acid serum on the rest of my face and neck, and it’s my perfect combo-skin serum... combo —————————— Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum I’m not sure if I love this serum or I just love hyaluronic acid. The texture of this (like all Glossier’s serums) is lightweight, non-sticky, and absorbs like a dream. The loss in ⭐️ is due to the ridiculous price for what the product is - a basic hyaluronic serum - which should be a staple product in anyone’s arsenal, and is available for much cheaper elsewhere with formulas that are just as effective. I use this in my serum step on everywhere but my t-zone, where I use niacinimide. STEP 4 - MOISTURIZER CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is a cult favorite for a reason. Ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinimide... the perfect cocktail before bed! A great sealer for your actives; not too heavy for combo skin. NEW STEP - Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector Added this today post-cleanse for some AHA. Nice tingle, but no burn. Updates to come!

Pretty in Pink 💖
Pretty in Pink 💖
A roundup review of some pink products I’ve been using! ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream This SPF moisturizer boasts niacinamide and blue tansy to sooth and even skin out in addition to being a moisturizing mineral SPF. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of moisturizing SPFs in the first place but this one looked nice to me. It’s got a thin consistency coming out the tube but as you spread it on it’s pretty thick and heavy feeling. In about the middle of the ingredients list is coconut oil, a very occlusive and comedogenic oil, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is oily or acne prone, but it hasn’t broken me out at least. It’s not my favorite SPF I’ve ever used, but if my skin is super dry or sensitive I’ll use this over my others. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I love this cleanser! I use it twice a week for some nice exfoliation. I’ve always preferred physical exfoliation over chemical (I know I’m in the minority here) and this one is super gentle! The sugar granules are small and dissolve pretty quickly, and the cleanser itself is a non-foaming jelly, plus it smells like a delicious strawberry smoothie. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all after using it. I will definitely be purchasing the full size when I finish this! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry This is the serum that changed my opinion about serums! I used to avoid them because I hated the sticky feeling they would leave on my skin, but my skin had been lackluster and I wanted to add a vitamin C to my routine. This serum is amazing y’all! It’s only 15% vitamin C derived from cherries, so it’s gentle and natural, plus it has 4 different derivatives of hyaluronic acid. It just smooths over my skin like butter, I love it, I use it as needed for extra hydration or if I just wanna feel extra glowy, plus it smells so good and sweet! I’m glad I took this plunge, I highly recommend it! ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay I’ve only used this mask twice but so far it’s been really nice. I am a masker, always have been, and while clay masks aren’t really my go-to since I have dry skin, I’m glad I have just this one. It really tightens up my pores and my skin just feels sooo smooth after. It is a bit drying after washing it off but after serum and moisturizer it’s not an issue, and when I wake up my skin feels smooth and clear. Overall i think it does what it claims to do very well!
