Best Facewashes for Sensitive Skin!
These facewashes saved my sensitive skin and they’re all under $15! If you are in a place where nothing works for your skin, I highly suggest these. I give them all 5 stars because they effectively keep my skin moisturized and lessen my breakouts! PS the Olay face wash is tagged not sure why it says Gillette. MARIO BADESCU - Enzyme Cleansing Gel Venus Gillette - Olay Micro-Polishing Cleansing Infusion Facial Cleanser Ginger e.l.f. - Bounce Back Jelly Cleanser #Mary Kay - 3-in-1 facial cleanser for oily/combo skin[products]#[FiveStars]
According to gothamista this elf bounce back jelly cleanser is a dupe for glossier milky jelly cleanser. I personally have never tried the milky jelly cleanser, I’ve always just been curious about it but could never justify the price so when I heard there’s a dupe, I had to jump on the bandwagon and try it out 🤪 Even though I’m not a huge fan of cleaners that don’t lather, I still decided to give it a try because why not. I wasn’t blown away when I first used it (surprise, surprise). I like how it made my skin feel hydrated and plump but I don’t like how my face didn’t feel “clean” after each use. It’s supposed to remove make up but I really don’t think it has the ability to do that. The coconut scent was subtle but very artificial so was not a fan of that either. Overall, I didn’t have high expectations for this product so I’m not too upset that it didn’t work out for me. I’m glad I gave it a try though because now I know I’m not missing out on anything and I for sure will not be buying the milky jelly cleanser 😄 However, if you are a fan of jelly cleaners, then you might enjoy this product. It’s super gentle on the skin, quite hydrating and also very affordable 😉

Let’s talk moisturizers + creams!
I’m very picky when it comes to my moisturizer, I love a moisturizer that is dewy but not greasy and leaves me hydrated for hours. I have combo skin but more on the drier side so finding a good moisturizer can be difficult for me. Below are some of my favorites and ones that I’ve recently tried! 💧 Fourth Ray - Good Mood Gel Moisturizer A recent purchased that i’m satisfied with. A little goes a long way, if you use too much it’ll look greasy instead of dewy and it will be harder to blend in. Otherwise, it leaves the face nice and hydrated. belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb My HOLY GRAIL moisturizer. I received a mini and fell in love instantly, I’ve been repurchasing ever since. It feels so luxurious without being too expensive. It gives me the perfect amount of dew without leaving my t-zone oily, it is lightweight but it keeps my skin hydrated all day. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream Very affordable compared to these other moisturizers. It’s a cream that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and you don’t need too much. It doesn’t leave my skin looking as pretty as my other favorites, but it gets the job done. Therefore i’ll be using it as a night cream. Simple - Water Boost Skin Quench Sleep Cream Although it is a night cream, it serves as a beautiful lightweight moisturizer for the day time. If you’ve tried the version that is meant to be used as a daily moisturizer let me know if they’re alike! e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer I loooove this moisturizer. It’s lightweight and looks pretty on the skin , while keeping my skin hydrated. It also has one of my favorite ingredients: jojoba oil! The downside is that it’s a tube with a pump. very annoying. Co THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 This used to be my holy grail, I used it for two years straight. It’s extremely glowy, but it makes my t-zone oily, which was the reason why I made the switch to belif because that one is simply better. Also i got tired of the citrus smell. BUT! this one has spf 30 which was a big win for me when I did use it and for those who don’t want to layer a moisturizer on top of an spf. TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream I received a mini of this and I want to repurchase the full size so badly!! It’s expensive but I think it’s worth it. When I had the mini I would use it as my ‘fancy’ moisturizer for when I wanted to go out and look extra cute. It’s hydrating and looks extremely beautiful on the skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration If you have really dry or ace prone skin, this will be your bff. I used this when my skin would experience my issues and it would help! Although hydrating, it leaves an almost ‘matte’ finish. So I would use it at night instead because I like a glowy-daytime look.
You Won't Regret For Buying These🥰🥰
These 3 hydrating products are my all-time favorite, and the best part is that they are not expensive, so there is no excuse to not try them. Nivea crème NIVEA - NIVEA Crème I love this product because it is very affordable and easy to find, also I purchased the big container that has lasted me over 6 months! The packaging is very simple but practical and it comes in various sizes so you can have your big jar at home or the small one in your purse! It has no scent really but every time you put it in your face you got this fresh feeling. The consistency is very thick but I find it blends beautifully once you start rubbing it in your face. I like to use it at morning when I get out of the shower, after cleaning my face thoroughly, this is the final step of my skincare morning routine. Once applied your skin will feel revitalized and smooth with no oily sensation afterwards! It has become a part of my holy grail products. Ponds - Dry skin cream I have been using this product since I started a skincare routine in junior high, I would say I have stick to this product a good 10 years of my life to say the least. It is a very popular and affordable, very easy to find as well in every drugstore you will see a variety of different colors by this brand but I have found the one with the blue cap works for me, this is the one for dry skin. It comes in a variety of sizes as well; I like to get the baby jar to keep with me at all times. It is unscented and very creamy; I like to apply a few dots directly to my face when getting out of the shower and start rubbing it very gentle. This formula is kind of oily but after a few minutes within the application you will see it will blend perfectly with your skin. It will give you a smooth and dewy look afterwards and the consistency it’s so light that makes it a perfect base before applying your make up! I deeply recommend this product to anyone who is getting started with a skincare routine for its effectiveness and price! It is worth every cent and it has become an instant classic! Elf - daily moisturizer e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer I just a had a chance of getting my hands on this product and I’ve loved it since then. I know this brand it’s popular for their makeup but they have some interesting skincare options, like this one. The formula is very light not heavy at all and it absorbs very well into dry skin like mine. The packaging is beautiful and you cannot beat the price. Once applied, it will leave your skin feeling fresh and hydrated for the whole day! The scent is very light as I like it for a moisturizer and I have found that keeps my skin less oily at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend trying this product, can’t wait to purchase more skincare items from this brand!
《For the longest time I've struggled with my sensitive, combination skin. Moisturizer has always been a huge issue for me... I would end up with rashes and breakouts due to the brand or the skin type. Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture - $10 《This moisturizer is a miracle worker!! I cannot stress enough as to how much this one actually works for me! SOAP & GLORY - Face Soap And Clarity Facial Wash -$10 《This face wash is soooo nice! It leaves my face feeling soft and smooth. TThis face was is great for your skin and it gives your face the extra Viramin C that it needs. e.l.f. - Keep Your Balance Toner -$8 《This toner started out as an experiment and it's been with me ever since. This toner really does help keep a perfect balance of yoyour natural oils, dryness, wrinkles, etc. This toner is perfect for those with combination skin. GARNIER - Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller -$7 《I've been using this type of eye rolled since highschool and I still love it! The puffyness gradually goes away, it's just a bit more slimy than you think it's going to be Vaseline - Lip Therapy, Original Lip Balm -$2 《This lip balm is soooo good! I am a lover of Vaseline to begin with and it's still the best thing for your skin and lips. When I go to bed I will put on a layer of this over my lips... that way they heal and get hydrated while I'm sleeping. HairGenics - Hairgenics Lavish Lash Eyelash Growth Enhancer And Brow Serum -$6 《I bought this about 4 months ago at a ROSS store. My Go-To Lazy Day Routine!
Everybody suffers from extreme laziness now and then. On such days, you are way too tired to even get up and wash your face, let alone do an elaborate skincare routine. I am the same. Some days I am so exhausted from work and never-ending chores that all I want to do at night is go to bed. However, my skin suffered majorly due to this. Therefore, I decided to come up with a small 3 step – cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize – routine for such days using all the products that I already had at home. Now before I divulge into it, let me put up a fair disclaimer. I have combination to oily skin, with more emphasis on oily. I have no such skin conditions except for extra-large pores and occasional acne with my menstrual cycle. Alright so the first step in my routine is double cleansing and I cannot ignore it for the life of me. Do you know why? I travel for almost two hours daily and there is a lot of dirt and build upon my face by the end of the day. The Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel Face Wash BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm NATURE REPUBLIC - SOOTHING & MOISTURE ALOE VERA FOAM CLEANSER I use The Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm for the first step and follow up with the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel Face Wash (picture below). Both products are excellent for oily skin and they do a great job of making your skin squeaky clean. I cannot endorse this cleansing balm enough, legit a Holy Grail product for me. It melts my makeup like witchcraft and leaves my skin without even a trace of it. Safe to say, I am obsessed with it! Loreal exfoliate cleanser L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Cleanser Exfoliate & Refine The next step is exfoliation. No fancy product used here, just the good old Loreal exfoliate cleanser for a quick massage. When I am feeling extra lazy, I just skip the second part of double cleansing and go on with this product after the cleansing balm. Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer Lastly, I go on with my trusted Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel and call it a day. I know all of these steps are extremely simple and beginner level. But honestly, that was what I was aiming for with this simple routine. It keeps my skin healthy and saves me from the trouble of going through with my normal routine. Don’t get me wrong I love that one as well, but this one is also equally good! I highly recommend you all to set up a three-step routine for such days and try this one out!

Mamonde is my new jam!
I’ve tried a couple Mamonde products now - the Mamonde - Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser Mamonde - Rose Water Toner and the Mamonde - Micro Deep Cleansing Oil Tissue and I have loved all of them! I also have used a couple of the sheet masks. The rose smell in the foam cleanser and toner is AMAZING. It’s called Damask Rose and is apparently only picked during certain times of the year (okay fancy). Also I’m no skincare expert but an oil to foam cleanser sounds pretty unique. I love cleansing oils and love that this one acts like a 2 in 1 for the double cleanse process! First you rub in like a regular cleansing oil on dry skin, then add water and it foams up slightly and rinses off really cleanly. Idk if the toner is a game changer but I am in love with the scent - I think I would love it more if it was a mist but even the full size isn’t. (Pictured here are the minis) I am in love with the cleansing oil wipes as a travel product for when you aren’t in your own home and able to do a full skincare routine but still want and should do your double cleanse. So portable. RIP leaving the house though. Sad.

Lotion mask method
This idea is taken from the book The Japanese skincare revolution by Chizu Saeki, I honestly don’t remember where I saw that someone recommended this book, but I bought it to learn more about the advice she gave. It’s a popular method in Japan thanks to Chizu Saeki, she places a lot of emphasis on skin hydration, this method is one of the techniques to improve skin hydration levels. In Japan, lotions are similar to toners, but Japanese lotions tend to be thicker and more hydrating. You only need a lotion (toner), multi-layered cotton pads and water. After cleaning your skin: 1. Take a multi-layered cotton pad and soak it in water. 2. Press the cotton to remove excess water. 3. Soak the cotton pad with the lotion (toner). 4. Separate the cotton sheets and put them on your face as a mask. 5. You can apply cling pack or a shower cap to increase the penetration of the lotion. 6. Leave 3 minutes and remove. Then follow your normal beauty routine. You can use whatever toner you have on hand 🙌🏻. This routine leaves the skin hydrated and soft and makes the rest of the products work better. *** I'm going to post a video with the steps, since you can't combine photos and videos in the same review.
new moisturizing skincare 💖
I just recently added 2 new products to my skincare routine and I wanted to let everyone know how it’s going and hear anyone else’s experiences with these products :) I just picked up the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser a couple days ago to replace my Palmer’s oil cleanser to remove my makeup before going in with the Cerave hydrating cleanser. I really love how well it removes my makeup before going in with a cleanser, but it is slightly fragranced, so it definitely burns around the eyes. The other product I got (since I am always looking to try new moisturizers) is the GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer . THIS PRODUCT. Absolutely. amazing. My skin is extremely dry right now from Accutane, so by the end of the day it is peeling like crazy. It is such a nice consistency and I don’t have a problem using this AM and PM. It does not cause any irritation as it has no fragrance — which I prefer it not to, and it doesn’t sting at all! I’m finding with a lot of even the most gentle moisturizers will make my skin burn or sting just from how sensitive it is right now. I would love to hear any thoughts on these products and anything I should try! 🤍

I tried this Aveeno series
Last month my face was in a terrible condition. Probably because of the weather and long-time wearing mask at work. I turn from a combination to sensitive skin type. My girl recommended me to try the aveeno series. She is sensitive and she has been using their products for a while and loved it. I’ve tried their body lotion which I was okay with. Since the price is quite friendly and it is actually quite easy to get from drugstores especially during this pandemic, i decided to give it a try. I got these three in Walmart. Pretty pricy. I went with a cleanser, scrub (I know it is not recommended to use scrub when skin is sensitive, but my T area is pealing a lot. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub Lessons learned. Ended up my skin was getting worse ! So girls, do not try to use scrubs when your skin is in a terrible condition) Smells great but this product just didn't work out for my skin type. Acne started showing on my skin after using this product. All in all not really bad but not amazing. It’s a good cheaper drug store facial cleanser. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser This is a very gentle cleanser. Average drug store face wash. I like how gentle this product was on my skin and I love that it didn't dry out my face after using it. As the name says it has this silvery finish to it that makes the illusion of having a shiny skin. I prefer liquid form cleansers but since I bought it I am still using it, I can't say I love it. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 This moisturizer is good value for its price range however the texture did feel very thick on my skin. Not greasy goes on smooth and has very light scent. After using for a week, I noticed that this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. I would say it is a great product for winter times. Overall this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. The whole series of Aveeno is very gentle and would work for many sensitive skins, I personally do not enjoy that much. Maybe because I am a combination that goes sensitive. I would really prefer something lighter during my sensitive time.
