These tips + these products have helped my skin: - Double cleanse EVERY night - Gentle non-foaming cleanser morning & night - Cleanse for at least 60 seconds, if not longer - Moisturize with CeraVe PM every morning & night (contains niacinamide) - CeraVe daily moisturizer on dry spots - Retinoid (Differin) nightly, applying every other night for a month then stepping up to nightly. - alternate weekly between azelaic acid & salicylic acid in the morning - AHA once a week at night if I take a break from differin - BP spot treatment on active pimples. I did not change my diet or dairy intake. However I have noticed myself eating a side of fruit & veggies with lunch or dinner. I have been sleeping more (thanks covid) & I wash pillowcases and towels weekly. I use a separate towel for my face, plus I have stopped putting conditioner right on my hair line.

my journey ????
(these are old photos except for the last one - my skin is slightly better just a lot of scarring unfortunately. ps: i hope u dont mind the captions! lol!!! 😅🙄🙈) okay hi so as u can see the first 2 pictures my skin was going thru something but not like reaaaaaallllly going thru it, like i think she coulda figured it out on her own if i had just let her (tbh my skin looked better then than it does now :/ but it’s alright) we live & learn [some personal but necessary?? life background/possible factors: school was stressing me out; i was breaking out a little and decided to try a brand new nyx concealer! (i had never used concealer before) and sleep on a brand new “silk” pillow case 🤦♀️; college food issssss just different & gross lol; my grandfather had recently passed away; and then i decided it would be a *great idea* to switch my birth control during all of this 🤦♀️ ...] Ok but i was wondering like... how did it get SO bad like so red and freaking out like that OOOOF ??? bc it seems like i started w these chillin’ closed comodones ???? (first 2) then i went to the dermatologist 🤦♀️ and she put me on tretinoin ???? and then it got worse (4,5,6) and then it spread to the OTHER SIDE LOL and then i was basically like i. am. over. this. after she tried to put me on more stuff like hormonal acne pills and another cream and i was just so defeated and hopeless and then i think i kinda stopped caring lol and thennnnn I went to another dermatologist... near my school she put me on aklief (idk if anyone’s tried that) but my skin is so sensitive :( and it was so irritating like my skin peeled for like weeeeeks 🤮 and it was just miserable and then it kinda calmed down but i was worried it wasnt all natural ... so i gave up on that ish too (she also recommended nNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream UMMMM this stuff burnssssssss - it is also BLUE?!?!!! so obviously there is some type of dye in there. but like ooof ouch just thinking ab it i can still feel it burning my skin- but it thought since a dermatologist recommended it then it was fine) and now she’s very sloooooooowly getting better/back to her old self I was just wondering if anyone else also kinda experienced a downhill slope w derms or in generalllll orrrrr has any possible explanations for spreading like that/other comments or advice! — last pic is recent! ❤️ (see my previous post for products I’ve been using 🥰) ****disclaimer: i have nothing against dermatologists! 💗 nor do i mean to come off as anit-dermatologist or as all-knowing or superior. — i just had poor experiences/and negligent results with the two i saw. I personallllllly regret going because i think i would have been better off in the long run if I hadnt gone, and had let my skin figure it out. (and side note: i also never really felt listened to or like my questions were answered - hence all the q marks in this post)

CUROLOGY TO THE RESCUE !!!
So my bff had really bad acne. Hormonal/oily combo + cystic. The worst.... 😭😭 I noticed in February her skin was looking really clear and I asked her what she was using/doing differently. She told me she uses the Curology 3 step system. I was not too thrilled when I heard 3 step system because I had tried other brands like that and it hasn’t worked out for my acne. But I gave it a shot. I signed up for there $5 “trial box” and took really in depth pictures of my acne for the dermatologists down at Curology to concoct me my very own serum to pair with their cleanser + moisturizer. After about 3 days I noticed my skin was clearer. So I was hooked and sad after the trial was over. For about $50 every 2 months they send you your 3 FULL SIZE PRODUCTS! That’s a pretty good deal knowing I’m getting customized skincare to my door ;) also I am from San Diego and this is a San Diego based company !!!! CUROLOGY IS DEF MAKING MY HOMETOWN PROUD 🙏🏻🤩💚 I would try this out if your loosing hope and have tried EVERYTHING. I incorporate the cleanser + moisturizer + acne serum with my toners, serums & face essences and they pair all beautifully! I will be uploading a video for my DAYTIME ROUTINE showing you my steps with Curology soon!! ❤️💕❤️💕
Nightly skincare routine!
This is my nightly skin care routine. Very similar to my morning routine except two products are switched. For finished review go to my first post. I’m just going to review the added products here **** Step 1: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser Step 2: Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment Step 3: Eye Cream ***I’m still trying to find a good eye cream that works against loose skin and wrinkles. Anyone have any suggestions, put them in the comments below! Step 4: POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream So instead of the CeraVe am moisturizer with SPF, for the night time I use Ponds and I absolutely love it. The jar has lasted me for years! Just a little dab here and there and it leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and smooth. I used to have really dry skin on my forehead and eyebrows and ever since I started using Ponds, it has cleared right up! No flakes anymore! Cannot recommend enough. It’s so cheap and it smells so fresh and clean! Step 5: Clearasil - Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream At first I wasn’t a fan of this because I would put it on at night and then by morning my pimples would be huge. But then I would do it again and the next day they were gone! It doesn’t sting like some spot treatments and I like the cream texture for the night time. As you can tell it’s almost gone because I love it so much but much like the Pond’s, it has lasted me a long time! Let me know your thoughts and experiences in the comments! Thanks 😊💕

How I Get Rid of Pimple Marks in 3 Weeks!
I started having acne breakouts back in October 2019 and I had no idea what was causing it. Pimples and dark spots were always there for about 6 to 7 months, I had no idea what products to use so basically I just lived with it, hoping they will all magically disappear one day. Before I get into sharing with you guys how I got rid some the dark spots and actual acne as seen on the images on this post, let me give a back story—I grew up with 0 skin problems. Yes, you read that right, I didn’t go through that awkward teenage phase. Thus, I grew up having no knowledge about skincare. It all started back in 2017 when I visited Seoul Korea during winter time—I did not have any skincare routine, and I would literally just wash my face with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and that’s about it. I literally had no idea which moisturizer is good for my skin, even more so what serums are for, or even what face mask would suit my skin type. After 2 months of getting back from Korea, my skin suddenly started to feel dry, and that’s also when I started getting acne from time to time. I realized from there on that my skin type is normal to dry. Given that huge self-skin revelation, I started simple by incorporating the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Crème to my skincare routine and let me tell you that I have been using it daily, every day and night ever since! I promise you that it is lightweight and super moisturizing on the skin, and it won’t mess up with your makeup throughout the day. Every now and then, I have been experimenting with other skincare products but I keep on ending up with sticking to my simple 2-step skincare routine. Fast forward to what has been happening to my skin lately, I realized that I had to try and look for something that would really work for me. After doing proper research and watching endless YouTube reviews, I finally found 3 products that worked best for my skin problems: 1. Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Acne Clear Micellar Water 3-in-1 Caring Cleanser 2. Hada Labo Goko Jyun Hydrating Lotion 3. Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum I start off by cleansing my face with Cetaphil, pat my skin dry, then pour the Nivea Micellar Water onto a clean cotton pad and gently wipe it on my face. I usually consume 2-3 pads of cotton to make sure I get rid of all the excess dirt and makeup residue on my skin. After this step, I apply the Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion with the use of my finger tips to the drier areas of my skin and then let it dry for a few seconds before I apply the Snail Truecia Miracle Repair Serum on areas where I have dark spots. I finish off my skincare routine with the Nivea moisturizer and apply it all over my face. After adding these 3 products to my skincare routine, I could definitely say that I had way less acne appearing on my skin, and that my dark spots are now getting lighter. Would I recommend these to anyone? 100% yes!
